Hearing Lily's comment about being left friendless, Lexi paused and turned toward her best friend with an apologetic glance. "Aww, Lil. You're not friendless. I'll always be here for you. You know that," she said. Lil was right in many ways, though. Things would definitely change, as the two wouldn't be able to see each other all that often anymore, but Lexi was determined to not let that change their friendship.

"...and you better not find a new best friend, Moretti! I'm irreplaceable!" Lexi continued, giving her friend a playful look on that last comment. She was serious, though. She hoped she and Lil would always be best friends, no matter how far apart they were. "I'll owl you often, and if Hogwarts has another of those Alumni Balls, you let me know." She paused as a thought occurred to her. "Wait a second. You said you lot left me friendless. Did someone else leave staff, as well?"

A sad look spread across Lexi's face as she realized that Lily would have to leave her son and Evander for another school year. It made Lexi's sadness over leaving Al and Ty seem not so unbearable after all. "I'm sorry, Lil. I know that must be tough," she said.
