Seriously why was it always him that got princesses of the wizarding world? "Be sure to keep your arms and legs inside the cart." He placed his long fingers around the lever. "But I guess you already know that." He said pulling the lever down and the cart took off like a rocket.
They barreled along the tracks, taking the corners at the same break neck speed, twisting and turning, going deeper and deeper underground. Rounding one particular corner there came a faint roar from the lower levels.
After an extremely long time, the cart came to a halt and Tarog jumped out of the cart and trotted over to vault 711. He waved his hands over the door, breaking through the protection spells and then stepped back to allow Mrs Hudson to unlock the door with her key. Thank Merlin for her head scarf, was all Pandora Hudson could think as the rocketing cart, lurched and leaned it's way through the hair-raising turns that lead to the family vault.
As the cart snapped to a halt, Pandora took a moment to compose herself, then stepped out of the cart, into the echoing chamber. Following the goblin, she stood back and watched as he rid the way of protective charms, then once again withdrew her key. Holding the moon tightly in her hand, she slotted it into place, and turned.
The door melted before her eyes, revealing the mountaneous stacks of gold, silver and bronze as well as other splendid things, that were priceless. She spotted her wedding dress, as well as the complete collection of Caravaggio masterpieces and the various relic from Magical communities as old as time.
Stepping into the vault, she scooped up some gold, and a few silver coins, which she deposited straight into her wallet. Taking a quick swipe of the vault with her eyes, Pandora ensured that everything looked as it should, then turned to the Goblin, "Thank you, I am done."
Returning to the cart, she retrieved her key, and checked her scarf. |
