I use gel/paste food colourings, because they are super concentrated. I don't mix them with water because that's silly. If I need to paint with them, I use cheap vodka (am I allowed to mention this? Is this against the rules? D: ) to make the food paint, because it evaporates pretty quickly and doesn't make a liquidy, sugary mess of the fondant like water does.

As for pumpkin puree in the UK, that only place I can find it with any regularity is in larger Waitrose stores. It's only £2 or so per tin, so I always stock up when I'm nearby (I've a pumpkin pie obsessed other half!). I've also seen Tesco do it online near to Thanksgiving, and Amazon do it if you don't mind buying in bulk.

I tried in Waitrose! The only one I had access to was out of stock when I went.

I think I might go to a bigger Waitrose one day, and just stock up on the stuff so I always have some because pumpkin cupcakes are SO GOOD.

The badger's my favourite. I really loved how he came out. The Lion could have done with a tidier mouth/mane, but I'm just being pedantic.
