Charles Hollingberry EraAll historical records pertaining to Ministry of Magic RPG under Minister for Magic, Charles Hollingberry [IC March 2097 - present; OOC November 2018 - present]
Established in February of 2016, Scamander Zoo ironically can be found in a small, run-down opera house across from the London Zoo that non-wizard folk have a habit of overlooking, though this is a mere façade to keep things Muggle Worthy. Once a ticket has been purchased at the reception desk inside the central hall of the opera house, a grandoise staircase leads the way to a set of golden double doors.
Crossing the threshold causes everything to transform and takes the visitor to the zoo's lobby where various fountain beasts await. Free maps of the zoo, creature pamphlets, and fliers can be picked up here. To the left is the gift shop, and the bustling food court is to the right. Moving forward is the Childrens' Playground, which is decorated to resemble a classic playground accompanied with a Hogwarts-esque tree fort and a variety of kid-friendly creatures roaming around such as the Flobberworm, Crup, Kneazle, Puffskein, Niffler, and Demiguise.
The zoo beyond, however, definitely has a wide range of beasts -- from the mundane to extremely violent, the common and unfamiliar. You are sure to get your fill of magical creatures by visiting all of the different enclosures: African Safari, Aquatic Reef, Bird Nest, Gnome Garden, Grecian Parthenon, Horse Paddocks, Insect and Pest Dwelling, Mooncalf Field, Reptile and Amphibian House, Spider Web, Troll Enclosure, and the Westward Expansion.
OOC: Feel free to utilize this spreadsheet as a reference for all of the creatures present at the zoo that your characters may be seeing on their visit. If you have a character that is already employed or wants to work at the zoo, you may add them to the list and role-play them here.
Kaira clapped her hands together and said : Yeah.. fair deal! Okay we will take a pic of Laila and me together!
Laila laughed. 'Oh you kiddos! Okay, Kay and I shall pose,'she said and posed for the pic with her sister.
He chuckles as he lifts his camera and takes the shot. He walks over and shows them the photo before asking his question. "So where should I mail it to?"
Laila summoned a piece of paper non-verbally and wrote her mail address and handed it over to Malachi. 'Here,this one..,' she said.
Malachi nods as he takes the slip of paper, trying not to gape at how the paper just appeared out of no where. Then he remembered, he was in the world of magic. He looks at the paper before talking. "It might take a few days for postal to get it there but I’ll be sure it does."

Kaira laughed a Malachi gaped as the paper came out of nowhere. 'We can't do magic outside school, though,' she said.
Laila smiled at the little boy gaping. 'Don't worry..you will learn all this too..,' she said kindly.'We look forward to receiving the photos,' she said.

Laila smiled at his enthusiasm. 'So..has anything happened to you when you're angry..sad..very happy..or you know..feeling something strong? Something inexplicable?,' she asked.

Malachi thinks back and his face drains of color as he looks down and nods his head. "Y um yes."
Kaira was stunned. 'Oh..um,' she said awkwardly. 'It's okay..really..,' she said.
Laila was stunned too.'Oh no, it is okay dear..you wanna talk about it?,' she asked, gently.
Malachi takes a deep shaky breath before talking. "When I was was in elementary school one of my classmates they um were talking bad about my dads. Saying that it was impossible for me to have more, two dads, and that it wasn’t um unnatural. I got so so very mad and the next thing I knew the boy was flying across the classroom. He He hit one of the cabinets and it it fell on him. After that he was rushed to to the hospital."
Kaira gasped. 'Oh my..that was really rude of them,' she said, her brows furrowed in anger.
Laila listened carefully. 'I'm sorry...but it was an accident, so it's okay..what happened after that?,' she asked gently.
He shifted to the right side of his body, a habit of when he’s surprised or curios. "After that everyone avoided my like the plague or bullied me. Um other than my dads I mean, I was the freak of the school and they let me know that everyday."

Kaira figured the boy didn't wanna talk about it anymore. 'Oh..We are on the way to..you could come with us..,' she offered Laila nodded. 'Yeah..you wanna come with us?,' she asked.

Laila said : 'Diagon Alley...the place where we came from? The place with the ice Cream parlor and all? You'll get all your supplies there,' she said, reminiscing about her school days. Sigh!
Kaira grinned in excitement. 'Oh..oh..I can't wait,' she squealed.

A Wild Time
Once you've got your ticket, Scamander Zoo invites you to let yourself free to a creaturetastic time. Step on through the golden double doors and meet your date outside the gift shop with your red ribbon tied around your wrist to give yourself away. Collect a map to share and take a walk around the exhibits. Do you have a favourite one? Or are you open to a new favourite with a potential new love? Your wrist ribbons guarantee you a free drink on your walk around and a few special up close and personal photo moments near the exhibits. As darkness falls, you'll be treated to a plush from the gift shop and a hot drink to watch a special, just for you two, mooncalf dance.

Dalton Fletcher was completely and utterly unimpressed with his friend.
And with himself, honestly, because even though Tana had signed him up for this whole matchmaker thing, he'd allowed himself to be convinced that it was a good idea. And that meant that he was now stood outside the gift shop at the zoo with a red ribbon tied around his wrist..
Said red ribbon felt like a beacon screaming his location and desperateness to everyone in the Wizarding World. The end of it was also very frayed, because he'd been fiddling with it nervously since Tana had tied it on earlier that morning. The idea of using a charm to repair it had crossed his mind, but so had the idea that if it fell completely apart then he wouldn't feel that bad?
Except he really would not have been able to stand anyone up. He wasn't that mean, really. So here he was waiting and wondering how many hexes he could use on his friend later.

The kids were off with their mother that day and Jory was missing his family so much that he opted to spend his free time at the Zoo. It wasn’t that he had only just gotten this free time, it was more like there had been a lot of reports to write so he had taken one fine Saturday to finish them. Paper work of an Auror was never an easy thing. He had finished somewhat early and had decided to stretch his legs. The zoo was one of his kids’ fave places to be and yes, even though he had seen the creatures a zilllion times before, he didn’t care.

After hiding away for what seemed like years due to a depressive episode, Ronnie was finally out and about. And it felt... weird. She hadn't seen any of her friends in a long time, and didn't quite know who was her friend anymore. So of course, in her lonesome state, she found herself at the zoo.
She laughed to herself. Of all places to go to by yourself...
Glancing toward the gnome garden, she smiled as they rolled around in the dirt. She then noticed a familiar face. One she hadn't seen in years. Was that... "Jory?!" she nearly shouted, running up to him. It really was him! "Hey! How are you! What are you doing here!" she exclaimed excitedly. It's been so long she had seen an actual friend of hers, let alone human being...

Jory was always amused by gnomes, even though this amusement had come sometime after his Hogwarts years. It was until after he and Gwen moved into their own place that he realised just how pesky the things could be. He had sort of gotten over that though; he still hated that they infested the garden if he or Gwen let them. Hearing his name, he turned his head in the voice’s direction. At first, he did not recognise her, not even when she was closer to him.
“Um, I’m okay,’’ the Auror said blankly. His eyes scanned the woman’s face carefully and only then did he realise… “Ronnie! Hi!’’ For some, it might have been awkward to meet an ex whom one was engaged to at one point but Jory came nowhere close to feeling that way. “It’s been so long. What are you up to these days?” Grinning. He was grinning.

It seemed he didn't recognize her at first, and Ronnie smiled awkwardly. Perhaps it wasn't him? Jeez, maybe she needed glasses... but she could have sworn it was Jory...
Ah, he did recognize her, okay good good. Ronnie was about to panic with awkwardness had she mistaken someone for her friend. "It has been long," she said with a laugh. "Not much, I've just been working and relaxing as much as I can." she gave a small shrug. Her life wasn't too exciting lately, but that was alright. It was somewhat peaceful, which was nice for once. "What about you? How are things? Catch me up!" she added excitedly. It was so nice to be talking to such a good friend, especially Jory of all people.
