Ministry Entrances https://s26.postimg.cc/6ysyow5h5/min...ces-banner.jpg When not making use of the Floo Network, there are two alternate methods to enter the Ministry of Magic whether you are an employee or a visitor. Accessible by means of Muggle London, not far from Trafalgar Square, are the underground public toilets and the red telephone booth. All employees are required to make their way the underground public toilets, whereas any visitors are to step inside the telephone booth. It is suggested that using these methods be done post haste -- you never know when a Muggle might come around the corner. |

Mystery date Wow. Okay. The day was finally here, this was something new to her. The red head hadn't been on a date in a very long time, for personal reasons. Anyway, Amidala fastened the buckle on her warm coat and pulled the hood over her head adding to the mystery of the evening. Who was the mystery date? How was he going to look like? How was he going to sound like? Either way a mix of anxieties and nerves amplified her sense of alert. Ami followed directions to the location she was to meet "mystery man" until she arrived. "Wow." She whispered to herself. What next? |
This was interesting. A date at the ministry, not what Victor would have ever though would be considered a cool date, but he was willing to give anything a try. Getting to the ministry with his small camera bag he looked around. First seeing the equipment and then seeing the lady standing there waiting for him, was he late? He sure hoped he wasn't. "Hello, so this is our date this evening." A typical La Garza grin crossing his face. She was very pretty and he was feeling a bit nervous about what the things near the building meant. []b "I'm Victor"[/b] Introductions were probably something that he should have done first, but he was to fixed on the date itself. |

"So here it says we have a few options to get roof." Also gesturing to the equipment neatly placed down for them. "I'm an avid flyer, but stairs or lifts will do too." Ami enjoyed flying on a broom from time to time, she excelled in that department. "So what will it be Victor?" The red head said, almost challenging him with her daring deep blue eyes and flick from an eyebrow, in a lighthearted way. |
The red hair caught his eyes and how attractive she was when she brought down her hood. His grinned stayed as she introduced herself and spoke about the date He took her hand for a gentle shake. "This is certainly a first for me. I've never had .to get to the top of the ministry, actually I'm not sure I've really been in the ministry other than to get my visa to be in England." If his Spanish accent hadn't given that away. Glancing at the instructions and then the equipment her tone made him chuckle, "Well you missed one, the climbing. Why don't we try that?" He really wasn't much of a flyer and the stairs or lift seemed a bit boring when you could climb a building. So why not give it ago, "What do you think?" |

Ami let out a soft giggle as she shook his hand and looked up at the top of the Ministry building. "Can't say I have either." This was still a new environment the young red head was learning to adjust to, heck even her job was a new learning experience that was both frightening and thrilling all at the same time. "Ah, that explains the accent. It's a really good one." She nodded warmly. "I recently started my job in the law enforcement department, before that I worked in the States. I havent been to many places, I'm still the new gal in town around here." She cited. "Where did you migrate from?" The red head was full of curiosity and there were so many questions she had written down when meeting her date. "Oh that's right, I did! Well I am better off my feet, so why not." Ami nodded, walking over to the climbing equipment. This seemed fitting for her, after all her patronus was a widow spider. "Here you go Victor." She passed him some of the essentials needed for this task. Ami tied her hair up in a princess bun to avoid endangering her red locks and her own safety when climbing."All right Spiderman are you ready?" Ami folded the corner of her red lips into a small whimsical smirk. "Spiderman is a Muggle superhero by the way." Ami was straightforward when speaking her mind. Way to go Red. She thought to herself, strapping on her gear. Though she was confident in who she was, at the moment she was feeling a bit foolish. This was her very first date in a very long time afterall! |
He was already having fun, but he was a De La Garza. Even if his brother was smoother and better with women, he had learned a few things from him growing up. "I've been here for a few years. My much older brother had moved here and became a journalist at the prophet he decided to stick around and start a family, so when I graduated I decided to check it out and see if my photography business could work and it has. He was only a few years in with it, but families loved getting their pictures done so his business was good. "Spain, Rhonda to be exact. Beautiful country if you haven't been." He hadn't visited for a while and talking about it made him a little homesick. "What made you come here?" He as curious as well to get to know her more. Walking over with her as they chatted, he looked at the equipment, good thing she didn't wear a dress. Picking it up he started putting the harness on himself and looked over, "Need any help? " She didn't seem like she did, but he wouldn't be a gentleman if he didn't ask. Giving a laugh as she said about the muggle comic and shook his head, "I've heard of that one, but I've always felt I'd be more of an ant man myself." Today though it looked like he'd be spiderman climbing this wall. Giving the harness a tug and waiting to see if she needed help, he got ready to go. |

Ami kept her eyes on him as she walked over with his equipment. Sure she could do it by herself but perhaps maybe accept assistance from him. "Yes that would be great." She nodded. Ami genuinely cracked a smile and giggle exposing the hidden dimples in her cheeks,"I can definitely see you as ant-man. I'm more of a black widow." The young red head was really enjoying the ambience so far. "Any crazy ex wives I should look out for?" Ami teased with a lighthearted chuckle. |
He smiled as she spoke and asked questions about his job, "I was doing some freelance for Quidditch and that was fun. I have so many pictures of players on their brooms, but I wanted something more so I opened my studio to do what I wanted. Pictures of happy families are my favorite with outdoor settings. I'm always looking for new places to do their pictures. Hey, maybe the top of the ministry could be a new place." He was joking of course. "I'll make sure to be good then so you don't arrest me." grinning before he moved to help her, though if she was MLE he probably would lose going up this building. "Black widow you say?" That was an interesting thought and he had to think about the features of the hero and different aspects of her. Ex? "Oh no, I have only been on a few dates since moving here and nothing serious, so nothing you have to worry about not even a crazy ex-girlfriend, what about you?" |
Quote:
"I'll be watching you closely." Ami lowered her voice almost a whisper, looking straight at him with a lopsided smirk almost forming. "I'm off duty today. Just a normal, non-Ministry Law Enforcement, civilian for the day." Having all the gear situated she headed towards the building. Heading the black widow comment she nodded, "Yes I do. She replied leaving an element of mystery to it. Ever since her husband passed away two years ago the red head had abstained from relationships or any involvement with any one, from her deep grief. But that was then and this was now, she freed herself from that heartache and despair to start over once again. She owed it to herself to find happiness once again. "None to worry about." She gave him a bashful lopsided smile and prepared to start climbing. "Are you ready Victor?" |
She wanted to see his work, of course, this brought a smile to Victor's face. He enjoyed showing his work to people. "You should stop over to the studio, I'm right in Diagon Alley." Really easy to find, so hopefully she would drop in at some point. He had brought a smaller camera, he never really left home without it so her comment about taking a picture couldn't help but get a chuckle. "I certainly think that could be arranged, but we will have to get up there first." That could be a little more difficult the way they were going to go. She was humorous and he liked that about a girl. They had to have a sense of humor. He certainly enjoyed joking around. "I'll have to remember to just be bad on your days off then." With a grin he started looking at the building, "Shall we start up?" What did he have to do first though? "A temporary sticking charm on our hands?" Was that how they would get up, he really wasn't sure, but figured she might now. There didn't seem to be much to grab on to, so they'd need something or at least he thought. |

The playful exchange between the two was really amusing the young red head! He was quite a trip and pleasant so far. "You naughty boy." Ami teased him, chuckling and giving him a light wink. Ami took a deep breath and took out her wand, "yes, that seems like the reasonable thing to do here." The instructions weren't very clear on how the climbing would go, but Victor was ahead of the game and Ami approved of that 100%. Applying the charm to her hands Amidala made sure it was working well and not gonna malfunction as she makes her way up the building. After feeling secure to start moving up she used the strength of her legs and core to hoist herself up and begin the climb. Perhaps boots weren't the appropriate footwear but this wasn't something new to her. "Once when I was on the field at a mission I chased down the criminal I was looking for in heels." She shared her little story as she waited for him. |
Watching her apply the sticking charm he did it on himself as well, hoping that he wouldn't do it too much that he would be permanently stuck to the building. He could see his brother having fun with the headlines of that one. Placing his hand on the building he thought maybe he should have put the charm on his shoes too, but his hand was already in. Heels? He looked at her impressed, "Really, honestly I couldn't even walk in them let alone try to chase down someone. I'm glad men don't wear them." He was very glad about that, he liked to dress up, but he always was afraid women were going to break an ankle out on a date when they had really high was on. He was moving slowly and they hadn't even gone up far before his arms started feeling weak, man, he was out of shape. That was going to have to change, but he wasn't going to say anything. "How are you doing?" |
Quote:
Ami chuckled at his comment, "I think they'd look very attractive on you." She teased. Climbing slowly using her her every muscle to keep pushing forward, there was something exciting about climbing a building though she's never quite done it before and would rather opt for flying in this type of situation but was enjoying herself regardless. Looking at Victor she gave him a genuine smile and continued pressing on, "Well I'm definitely getting quite the workout.I'm not much of a climber but I think I'm getting the hang of it." The red head regretted wearing her fluffy coat, it was starting to feel a lot warmer with every step. "How about you, Vic?" She asked. "Question." She said shifting her deep blue eyes in his direction. "What else are you passionate about besides photography?" |
He looked down at his feet as he kept climbing, they would look attractive on him? No, no he didn't think they would. He laughed though and kept climbing. His arms felt like they were going to fall off and he was hoping it wouldn't be a far climb, but looking up he realized it was certainly a long way up. "Maybe we should have done the brooms" Or the lift maybe, but she seemed to be doing alright and he didn't want to seem like a full out wimp so he kept moving. Glancing over at her he tried to think, "Oh I enjoy family time mostly. I have a few nieces and nephews. I don't get to see a few, but my brother's kids I see often since we all live here. Other than that I like to travel and read." Did he seem a bit lame? How would someone that caught bad guys for a living think he was at all interesting. |
Quote:
Family man? Not bad. Ami felt and thought Victor was quite interesting not just because he was climbing up a wall with her, but because he had a very beautiful mind and aura. 'Course his striking good looks couldn't be overlooked, he was very handsome. "How old are your nieces and nephews?" Ami asked, suddenly thinking of her own family. She had a younger sister who currently attended Ilvermony, whom she loved a lot. She was mostly close to her father and it was he who had encouraged the red head to take her new job in the Ministry of Magic. "Edgar Allan Poe is my favorite author. Annabel Lee, to be more specific is my absolute favorite piece out of all his literature." Behind that serious and some would say, rough, exterior was a hopeless romantic. "Do you have a favorite read?" |
SS keeps eating this post! Quote:
"Is this a test? I mean I'm not going to get arrested for touching your wand will I?" His hand might slip and land on her leg or something and he wasn't going to go to jail for that, though a grin formed on his lips as he let go of the building with one hand and reached over to take her wand from its holster. "Here you go" Handing it off he grabbed onto the wall again. Oh, she wanted to know more about his family, well he actually had to think about ages. "Let me see, my oldest niece is in her twenties. There was a huge age difference between me and my older sister. Then my other niece by that sister is nineteen, my brother has two children one is 13 and the other is 11, my other sister has one that is 15." Or at least he thought that was their ages, maybe he had it wrong, but it sounded right. "Do you have any nieces or nephews?" When she turned the topic to books Victor had to think for a bit, "Well I love all books really, I think my favorite is mystery though. Have you ever read the tale of two squibs? That one is probably one of my favorites." |
Quote:
Ami carefully listened, giving him her undivided attention. "Oh wow, interesting! You have a very large family." Coming from a small family she was impressed at how close his nieces and nephews were in age. "I don't have any nieces or nephews. My only sister is 12." Being the oldest she felt a duty of protecting her baby sister, as long as the red head is alive no one is gonna hurt the young 12 year old. Ever. "I come from a very small family." Her maternal side of the family disowned Ami's mother upon marrying a muggle (Ami's father). It wasn't something she openly spoke about. Oh so he was a mystery fanatic. A small lopsided smile formed in her lips, she though it was kinda funny in a serendipitous way because she's referred him as her "mystery man/date" before physically meeting him. "No I have not heard of that book. Perhaps I should check it out." She contently nodded. |
He watched in awe as she quickly took her wand and got on her broom in one swoop. As he watched his focus left his own magic and his hand and feet slipped. Hanging on with one hand he tried to focus again to get himself back attached to the building. Once he finally got his hand back in position he looked at her with a smile trying to seem calm. "I can try" He was never getting on the broom like she did and he was going to embarrass himself. For the first time this evening he was over the dating service putting them on a ministry building. The dating lady must have liked giving out death wishes to her clients. As for the family stuff, he listened as he made his way, very carefully, to her broom. Merlin did he look like a wimp compared to her. "I bet smaller families can be nice too, you don't have to have problems remembering everyone's birthday." That was the hardest part with a big family, for him at least. "The author is from Spain, it's a very good read." |
Quote:
Amidala slowly steered towards the top of building. "I will definitely have to get me copy, then." A smile grew on her as the gentle breeze caressed her face. Ah, very soothing. Amidala giggled at his comment relating to the many birthdays she is less likely to forget, "Good point." Alas reaching the top of the building after what felt like an eternity, she parked at decent stop and hovered for a bit as she stepped off the broom. "About time." She quickly released her luscious red locks from the princess bun. "How was the ride?" She looked over at him, followed by working on removing the, now, unnecessary climbing equipment. |
Quote:
He held on as they moved to the top of the building. This way was so much faster and he didn't know why they didn't start out with this, they could have easily been up here so long ago. Carefully not to fall as he got down, he had enough of making an idiot of himself this evening, he turned and gave her a smile, "This was much better. Here let me help you." Walking over he started to help her take the equipment off and put it over to the side so they wouldn't trip before starting to take off his own. "That was fun, but I don't wish to ever try to climb a wall again." Laughing at his own weakness, because if he couldn't laugh at it who could? Turning to the view he stopped and stared, this was breathtaking now that they were up there and automatically his small camera that had been in his pocket was out. Remembering he wasn't there for the pictures, he looked back to his date, "I think we have a picnic waiting on us." |
Quote:
Ami chuckled at his comment and softly pat his shoulder and smiled. "You did wonderfully." The view! Oh goodness was it scenic and marvelous! "This is beautiful!" She sighed in content, looking over at the view from the top of the building. "Ah yes! Wow, it looks delicious." And yes, she was starving. Amidala headed over to the delicious goodies! |
Quote:
"So working here they have never had you come to the roof for training?" He was only joking, because why would they, MLE had to have their own training areas and more appropriate places, but this wouldn't be a bad spot. Taking a bite of his food he had an afterthought if he really should be trusting food that had been set out, what if a love potion was in there or something else? The thought leaving as fast as it came he continued eating. |
Quote:
Amidala chuckled at his question. "Not at all, though I might send in a request to do so." She grinned. The red head would be up for the challenge, no questions asked. Ami took a bite of her food. "How's the food so far?" Food was tasting pretty good and the sun setting was adding more beauty to the already sceninc location. |
