The Worple and Warmsley Magical Travelling CarnivalThe Worple and Warmsley Magical Travelling Carnival is here for the first time in Diagon Alley. Sponsored by all your favourite shops of Diagon Alley, the carnival is here for the summer! With magical rides and games, food stalls, knick-knacks and entertainment, this is a party for all ages that you won't want to miss.
It's hard to tell which sense hits you first, the sound of all the different creatures or the smell of them. Either way, you realize that there is a magical petting zoo just behind one of the rides long before the place becomes visible. In front of an enchanted tent is a medium sized enclosure that contains an array of young magical creatures. Transforming rabbits, crups, nifflers, puffskeins, and knarls are just a few of the creatures enclosed in this pin. There must be some shield charms in place as the baby clabberts climbing the enclosure can't seem to escape, not that they've stopped trying. The charms won't keep you from heading in through the gate to play with these cuddly creatures though, and you're more than welcome to!
For a sickle one can get a small bag of treats from the carnie stationed behind the small kiosk by the tent entrance. The tent itself contains a couple of creatures a bit older and more dangerous than the those found in your local pet store. And if you're old enough, the carnie will grant you entrance. Stop trying to figure how they acquired these creatures, and take a look around at the augureys, streelers, and two young three-headed dogs, each in their own large enclosure. Wild winged-horses take residence in the center enclosures, hooves occasionally stomping the dirt in agitation.
Do you risk petting them? No. The charms prevent it for the ones that bite atleast, and one will even alert the carnie so he can kick you out for messing with his creatures. But do enjoy walking the through the circular tent if allowed in, and enjoy the enclosure out front as well.

Selina rubbed the hand print that she had still not forgotten was on her face and snarled at the two girls, "Oh yeah sure. Let's go to an enclosed death trap where Violet can hurt me more, shall we?"

Isobel was so jealous! "I want to swim with a wild seal!" Isobel exclaimed. That sounded so awesome. "Weren't you afraid it might eat you?" She would be, but it would still be awesome.
"Not really," Isobel said. "They're not there all the time. Only two of them go to Hogwarts; my older brother and younger sister. I don't see them too much. Then in the summer I visit my Aunt in France for at least half of it, so I only see the other ones for half the summer and breaks." That was all she saw her parents too, now that she thought about it.
Aurora raised an eyebrow "Seals don't eat people. They're really docile." she said, chuckling a little. "This one was more interested in swimming and riding the waves than he was in me." she added.
"Oh, well that's better then. I don't think I could stand being around that many people at once. It's bad enough when my sister's over. And Krys hasn't moved out yet so he just gets in the way." she grinned. "Love 'em both though, but don't tell them." She did love her siblings but they didn't half get on her nerves sometimes.

Lola Jones? Jordan heard that name before, but he couldn't figure out where he heard it from. "Yeah, flying is a bit difficult starting out. It took me awhile to fly effectively." Jordan said. "He went to the Chudley Cannons, huh? Wow, he must be good then." Jordan knew some friends that had gotten into Pro Quidditch. According to them, the workouts were extremely hard, not just about flying anymore. "Well, do you want to learn how to fly?" Jordan asked, sort of curious.
Alessia saw there was some sort of carnival going on. The idea was very mugglish in her opinion. But her curiosity got the best of her, she just had to go and check it out.The first thing she saw was a petting zoo. She couldn't resist, she had a soft spot for animals. She went over to the the kiosk where you could buy treats for the animals. "Excuse me? I would like one bag of treats please." Alessia said to the carnie.
Sarah had been wandering the carnival for a few minutes and she almost felt intimidated by all the events going on. Then she saw the sign announcing a petting zoo, and she couldn't resist checking it out.
After another girl stepped back, Sarah asked for a bag of treats.
When she had received the bag, she stepped quickly to catch up to the girl.
"Hi," Sarah started, "Do you know what sort of animals they have in magical petting zoos? I'm a muggleborn, so..."
Sarah couldn't count how many times she'd had to explain she was a muggleborn and that she was totally ignorant about magical things, but she knew at least that most people wouldn't make fun of her for it. She hoped this girl wouldn't...
This man went by many names, today his was Frankie McSteel.. and quite frankly, Frankie was broke. For he spent his last knut at the pub. Passing by the petting zoo he was hit with the smell.... Then he looked down to a small pen full of nifflers... Heh.. Reaching down he picked one up, then scanning the crowds to make sure he wasn't seen, he slid the niffler in his overly large jacket and shuffled along......
Unlike most of the people attending the Carnival, Sabel hadn't made the decision to come on want of choice. If anything, he would have rather been holed up in the Auror office doing paperwork. But given he had spent the entire night finishing his section, there was no such opportunity waiting for him.
So, his attempt to be useful was to check things out. To keep an eye out. And there wasn't much about his demeanor that suggested otherwise. He was here on business, not pleasure or enjoyment.
Why he stopped by the petting zoo then, he wasn't entirely sure. But here he was, frowning a little at the price. At the tent. At the enclosure. At the crowds, including the man shuffling away in an oversized coat. But go figure he missed the man running the place completely.

Jethro was idly chattering away with Juju Bee, suspicious blue eyes on all of the little kiddies and wizards wandering his enclosures when he spotted HIM. Some strange and ominous looking man trying to make off when one of his precious niffies! "THIEF!!"
He was tempted to jump up on his kiosk, but remembered how that didn't work out for him or his jarvey the last time, and settled for simply jabbing his finger in the man's direction. "Get back here, ya sticky fingered plonker!!"
Knowing that he couldn't leave all his other precious creatures, or Juju Bee, to chase after the man, he hastily glanced around to see if any officers of the LAW were around.

NOW he noticed the man running the show. Noticed, heard, saw. The whole kit and caboodle.
But it wasn't him that he was concerned about. Just the jabbing finger and that one word. In a second his wand was out and his whole body was alert. Snapping around, he pushed himself onto his tipie-toes to get a better look over the crowd. Being as tall as he was, it wasn't really necessarily or practical, but more so instinctive.
In that general vicinity of the accusing finger, there was only one person that he really recognized from the petting zoo. Or rather, actually remembered being there not a few moments ago. Ol' mister long-coat.
Sabel didn't waste his breath on shouting and instead took to the fastest pace he could manage with the press of the crowd. If Long-Coat knew what was best for him, he would be bolting as soon as the man had started yelling, so there was simply no point in adding to that need. Damage was done.
Now, it was a matter of trying to reach the man as quickly as he could, as inconspicuously as he could and grabbing him as strongly as he could. And he put everything into reaching Long-Coat.

So it was a nice sunny day down DA... and it was her day off... bonus? Ha! not likely. Emily found herself pacing around at home, restlessly. Even her occlumency study wasn't enough to keep her distracted. But then a genius idea occured to her-- as it often did. Being a Ravenclaw and all. The Carnival! Of course she should go check it out while the weather was good.
After dressing rather casually, she made her down the street to where the even was set up. Brilliant.
The crowds were ... large. In mroe ways than one at times. And it was really hot. But here she was, and there were things to see and do, and certainly some observing to be done. Especially after Van's meeting. Emily was just TOO keen to get involved, do her bit to make sure the event went off without a hitch. An extra set of eyes and an extra pair of wands never hurt did they?
Emily had been wandering around the petting zoo, when she could have sworn she saw Sabel rush past her. Oh yer, hey Sabel, she thought to herself. Oh what the heck! Witout a second thought Emily turned on her heel and tore after him, her frequent running helping her in this situation, enabling her to catch up to him... "Sabel!" she called out, still running to keep up with him. "Any.. reason... for why... we're running?" she asked, dodging, ducking and weaving between the crowd- occasionally bumping randoms who were in her way. She ignored their yells.
Completely oblivious to the 'thief' shouting and security chasing said 'thief' through the crowded street, or that there was such a thing going on anywhere in the area period, Nevaeh couldn't have been more happy as she led the way to toward the medium sized enclosure, one hand holding Barty's as she practically leaned into his side, her other arm was wrapped securely around the fair-haired toddler on her hip, keeping him where he was without sliding. A mixture of excitement and pure joy that they were actually here, together as a family, had the young woman beaming. Even if it was just for today, and although finding things they could do together was a rather tricky mission, Nevaeh was enjoying every minute.
Raising their linked hands to brush a blonde strand from her face as they neared the gate, Nevaeh brought them to a pause, giving Barty's hand a little squeeze as her light blue eyes traveled up to try and meet his gaze. "Would you like to go inside?" She asked softly, giving him the option to decide whether they should or not. Nevaeh loved the idea of letting Baby Noel get up close with the his fellow baby critters, but she was trying to be very mindful of Barty and how he was taking everything in along the way. It was all still strange to him. She wouldn't push him.

After several weeks in Finland, Eino returned to a rather busy Diagon Alley. To his surprise, and extreme excitement, there was a carnival in town. He had attended several in the past, or maybe those had been circuses... He didn't really know the difference, but they were all fun. The best part, of course, where all the creatures they had, especially the magical ones. He had always gone to these events hopeful to see a dragon, but that was never the case, and he was always disappointed.
He made his way through the crowd, following the signs to the wizard petting zoo, as quickly as he could. As always, he was expecting to encounter a fire-breathing creature for the first time in his life, but little did he know he was going to be disappointed again. When he finally spotted the tent he ran inside. The smell wasn't very pleasant, but he continued, nonetheless. He saw all kinds of creatures but not one of them was large to even be mistaken by a dragon. He supposed the nifflers and puffskeins would do.

Still, looking around, he might actually spend some time here... yeah, if not, he could just walk away. It wasn't like the smell would stick, right?!
Walking slowly, eyes narrowed, he looked from one thing to another, wondering how people in here could stand the smell. He knew all from his lessons. Then, in front of something he halted and watched with interest. He didn't recognise that.
"What is it?" he asked to the nearest boy with a slight disgust mixed with interest in his voice.
He was not interested in any of them... he just wanted to know.

Not that he needed to stop himself, though, soon enough the figure beside him thankfully interrupted all the thinking.
He turned around and finally facing him concluded that he really did not know him, and that he was most likely a Hogwarts student, which made Eino feel ashamed of not knowing him. Niffler? What--oh. Those things that went for shiny things. Thankfully, João had been sick when in one of his previous schools they were learning about them. The creature seemed to be going crazy to get out of the cage and onto them. He never had any certain interest in following any silly creature. Ahem.
"Well..." What could be said in this situation? "Thanks for explaining." At this point, he had to introduce himself, right? The boy seemed to be around his age, might as well meet someone else. "I'm João Teixeira." Not using Marcelo, because he liked torturing these British. He really enjoyed their struggle trying to pronounce his distant name. "What's your name?" Would it be rude to ask which house he was in? Maybe he would reveal it automatically. They normally did; it was like a title around here.

Bartholomew Wallace was scared. And he made no effort to hide it. He was too busy staring at things.
The writer's head was moving from side to side, one to many times - expression bewildered and dumbfounded. It had taken him long to get used to the idea of things flying around and people disappearing into the chimney at Zachary's house. But to see so many of the things that just went against his original knowledge of the human kind - it was a miracle he wasn't fainting, already.
It wasn't just Nevaeh or Zachary or their family or friends. There was a big big community of people who were .. well, MAGIC.
What was it that Emery called him? Oh yeah, muggle. He was a muggle among magic people. And there was no doubt nobody that was muggle like him around. Or if there was .. well they were surely not contemplating over running away. It was because of Nevaeh's hand being locked around his that he resisted. Nevaeh's hand and Noel's excitement. Resisted his fear and ignored the dull, freaked out beats of his heart.
His hand tightened around Nevaeh's hand tightly when the observer in him made him witness the strange scene of someone calling out 'THIEF' again and again. "Nevaeh .. is something wrong?" he asked.
Was he suppose to run for his life now?

But then she looked around and she saw that this was not a normal Muggle petting zoo this was a Wizard Petting Zoo. There was augureys,

Transforming rabbits,
crups,
nifflers,
puffskeins,
knarls,
Even two young three-headed dogs.
But it was still a petting zoo and she didn't really want to be here. At least not with her older siser Charlie (who made her come).

Okay. So, Jethro had no earthly idea if the boy he's pointed at was an officer of the law or not. For all he knew, he could just be some random kid floating through the carnival attempting to be unnoticed. But he didn't CARE. One of his precious nifflers had been KIDNAPPED and she had to be returned!!

He kept an suspicious EYE on the thief and the two hopeful officers of the LAW. But he didn't ignore the other wizards and witches here to see his lovelies and buy treats. "Don't be shy, step on into the enclosure. And buy some treats to feed the babies while your at it!" He snatched up a bag, keeping it out of Juju Bee's reach, and waved it in the air. "Only a sickle!"

Amethyst was walking trying to find something to do, when she stumbled upon a petting zoo! "Eeee!" She was over joyed at the sight of the cute baby animals she saw within the tent. "D'aww!" She had no family to go with, and all over her friends went to do other things, taking this time to bond with herself. She loved animals and shrugged walking to the Petting Zookeeper. "H-Hello, Sir...." Her long black hair fell over into her face.

Elizabeth looked at the man who spoke to her and then back at the "animals", "Okay why not? Here." she pulls a sickle out of her pocket and hands it to the man.
Mr. Balloons had been feeling bad for his balloon animals. They were so lonely these days and had begun to droop with depression.
Which is exactly why he thought coming to the petting zoo would cheer them up. What better way to make a balloon animal feel better about its status than by having them interact with real animals?!

Jordan was puzzled, a student that doesn't want to fly? But he could care less, "I guess your technically right. Yeah, it'd be nice to apparate." Jordan loved the sound of apparating in and out of places. He would never get bored again.

Cracking another peanut shell, he fed it to the jarvey on his head and kept the peanut for himself. She affectionately called him something inappropriate before chomping away at the shell. "Well hey there, Lil Miss!" Juju Bee muttered 'stutters' but Jethro completely ignored her, maybe the girl would ignore the jarvey too? "You lookin to feed the creatures? I have treats!" Special home-made treats. He was so proud of them.
