Try your wand arm at the Wand Shooting Range, where the brave test their magical prowess! Enter the hedge maze with your wand at the ready!

The aim of the game is to make your way through our overgrown maze and take down as many dummies as you can. Dummies will pop out at the unwary witch or wizard from every angle and will disappear quickly. The fast carnival-goer must stun the dummy right in the center of its target before it disapparates. Be careful of where you aim; pellets filled with odorous liquids have been placed in strategic places around the maze. If you misfire and hit a pellet, the liquid will squirt at you; this is similar to how gobstones will squirt losing players with nasty-smelling liquid.

Winners will be easily recognizable: wizards and witches who are victorious will exit the maze unscathed and without the smell of the foul liquid about them. The number of dummies stunned by a player will be marked on a counter that can be found at the maze's exit.

Good luck and may the best wand waver win!

If only Lord Borr taught them last term.

Then the girl, Selina, shouted for help again. She definitely needed some help. But not worry, before Jonathan could cast another spell, Kurumi took charge and casted one. That's a relief really.

"Where do you think is she?" Jonathan got closer to one end and tried to listen to Selina's voice. Who is he kidding really? How would he know whether or not it's Selina's voice?

Kurumi better close her mouth before flies or something else came zooming into her mouth and she choked on it.

Kurumi's head snapped around again when she heard Selina scream. Selina didn't scream very often, so it really had her worried. She gripped her wand tightly and picked her brain for something else that could possibly help the situation, but how did you top a Patronus?

AHA! That's it.

Kurumi thrust her wand straight up into the air. "Periculum!" she shouted and a burst of red sparks erupted out of her wand and into the air.

"H-Hopefully Selina will see that..."

Selina quite literally wanted to throw up. The liquid that had gotten in her mouth only a few seconds ago was really starting to cause her gag reflexes to go into hyper drive. What was with the person who designed this maze? Wasn't it bad enough that the liquid already radiated an awful smell? But no it had to taste bad too. Typical...

She started to wipe all of the goo off of her face when she saw a slight sparkle in the sky. For a moment she thought she had imagined it until she looked dead up into the air and saw the red sparks still glistening. Who sent the spell? Was someone looking for her? If it was Simon she was going to kill him. First he left her all alone in a maze without an idea what they needed to do and then he thought that he could just not respond to her when she called to him? That was not very big lion brother like... although she was not going to lie, at this moment it would have been very nice to see him.

Speaking of Simon something blue started to glow in Selina's face. Her head turned to the right as she saw a patronus, no, Simon's patronus glowing in her face. It tilted it's head trying to get Selina's attention, but it already had it. She walked over to the patronus and said softly, "Alright I see you... but where is your conjurer?"

Kurumi looked over at Jonathan and shrugged her shoulders in a somewhat defeated sort of way. Wasn't this supposed to be a fun adventure and not one that would bring her on the brink of tears? "I don't know, but Selina isn't the sort to cry for no reason," she said gloomily. "I hope we find her soon..."

Kurumi was terrible at being alone.

Her gaze then went to Simon. "Simon's right, we need to get a move on while we can still see the glow from the patronus' path."

Kurumi tucked her wand back in his turquoise velvet case and returned it to her dress' pocket.

This maze challenged turned from a simple game to an actual life situation. And Jonathan is with 2 Gryffindors. Finally, someone he can work with besides from Slytherin. He could really use some challenges in his summer. All he has done was learn about Herbology and CoMC, which by the way didn't still make sense because he just lazier and lazier everytime he reads about those sort of things.

"We will" Jonathan confirmed. No need to be negative about it that's all. They will somehow figure to get to Selina. Simon already conjured a patronus charm so all they have to do is follow the white light, right?

Jonathan nodded to Kurumi and was ready to follow. "She's not far away. Don't worry" he smiled at Kurumi.

As the three of them walked, Kurumi found her focus more than a bit fuzzy. Sorry Professor Tate, but this little lion completely forgot about constant vigilance when it came to her best friend being in trouble. Heck, she didn't even know if she was in trouble!

Then it hit her like a ton of bricks. Well, more like a herd of hippogriffs.

What if...Selina was having a vision, and she was all alone.

Kurumi began to panic and she reached out for whatever was closest to her - which just so happened to be Johnathan's arm.

So lost in thought, Kurumi failed to notice the five or so dummies that had come jumping out of the bushes to the trio's right....

Jonathan startled when Kurumi suddenly took his arm. "What's wrong?" she looked like she's scared or afraid of something. Jonathan tried petting her head like a little child. "Are you okay?" he leaned down to hear and looked at her. Maybe she was scared or more like worried about Selina.

But just when he is about to comfort her more, a few dummies popped out of nowhere. Jonathan took Kurumi and put her behind his back. "Stupefy" that's one. "Reducto" that's two. "Diminuendo" the third one shrunk into a tiny dummy. Good enough to be eaten by a cat. Jonathan saw it approaching still and well, he stepped on it.

Jonathan only saw 3 of those dummy coming from the right. It is getting darker and darker, or maybe just to Jonathan's observation. He looked at Kurumi "Are you okay?" he repeated.

Blasted dummies. Ugh.

Her cheeks burned pink and she pulled her hand away. "S-S-S-Sorry..." She looked down at the ground and kicked aimless at a pebble. "I-I-I'm just worried about Selina..."

Kurumi squeaked when he pulled her around to his back and her eyes widened like a small doe's as the Slytherin peformed a few spells to push back the dummies that were attacking.

"T-Thanks," she said with a shy smile. Yep, Jonathan was getting cookies later. "LOOK OUT!"

Now it was her turn to push him to the side. With a fluidly she had learned from kendo, Kurumi removed her wand from her pocket, and then its holster, and flicked it towards the three dummies. "Diffindo! Diffindo! Diffindo!"

Flicking her wand in rapid succession, each of the dummies came apart at the seems until there was nothing left of them put a pile of fabric and stuffing.

Kurumi spun back around to check on Simon and Jonathan. "Are you both alright?" Her cheeks were still flushed from the awkward situation she had found herself in only moments earlier.

Jonathan doesn't know why but he kinda finds that trait of her quite adorable. Does that makes sense at all? Reminds him of Helena but she was much younger than Kurumi. "Don't worry." no need for apologies. "It's okay" he tapped her shoulder lightly.

PHEW!!!

That was close. How come they all attacked at once? Do these people know that they are just students? Really. First years shouldn't be playing this kind of game.

As long as they're okay, at least Jonathan can rest. But he thought of rest too soon. Kurumi pushed him to the side as another batch of dummies came to their presence.

Ow.

Jonathan felt the ground. Kurumi didn't push him that forcefully, it's because he was surprised with the sudden attacks after defeating the first 3. This game is definitely teaching them some awesome stuffs that they're suppose to learn in DADA. If only their exams where like this in the DADA. Something that could definitely prepare them for what is out here.

Jonathan stood up and fixed his hair this time. "Yup definitely okay" he smiled while putting his arm around her neck. Such a brave young girl. "Smart and brave." he added. Hey, the sorting hat does know where to put its students.

Now that was over, Jonathan continued to walk along the path to find this Selina girl.

Arms flailing around just a bit, Kurumi scampered over to where he was and tried to help him up. "S-S-S-Sorry! It wasn't my intention to push you over..." she said frantically as she bowed and tried to pick up back up at the same time. Really, this method wouldn't work in any situation, but she was still a little too flustered to really pull herself entirely together.

But, in the next minute, he was back on his feet and fixing his hair. Kurumi couldn't help but giggle softly. What was it with boys and there hair? Then again, she only knew of Conan being very interested in his hair, but it seemed like a common trait that boys shared.

Kurumi blushed again. "I think that should be 'knows how to study' and 'has good reflexes in a tight situation,'" she said shyly.

As if fully hearing and understanding the girl, the patronus lowered itself to all fours and turned, rebounding the way it had come to return to its maker. Its job complete.

Despite trying to stay close to the other two, Simon's long-legged stride and his worry for Selina kept him ahead as he followed the sights of his own magic. "Reducto!" he cast as a dummy appeared off to his own side as he passed an perpendicular corridor. The dummy hit by the blasting curse and disappearing where it had come from. A well aimed "Stupify," took out another as it jumped into existance several feet in front of him.

Hearing explosions and crashs from behind as he continued walking, Simon doubled back concerned for the younger witch and wizard. He was just in time to see Jonathan getting back up to his feet and Kurumi asking if every one was alright.

"Yeah I'm fine but I think the question should be are you two ok?" he asked turning the question around. They had after all been the ones attacked so strongly...apparently the maze or whatever was controlling it felt them a bigger threat as a pair. Looking them over briefly he was glad to see nothing to worry about. "This maze is certainly getting more tricky. I wonder if theres a time limit before the guy gets concerned," he absently mused turning back the way they were going.

She nodded at the patronus to let it know that it could go. The sooner it left the sooner it could get to Simon and they could get out of here.

Selina was starting to grow sick of this maze. It was not like she was going to cry or anything absurd like that, Selina rarely cried in fact she could count on one hand how many times she had cried in public, it was just that she wanted to get out of the maze. She desperately wanted to leave so she could clean up and get all of the foul smelling liquid off of her clothing. It was times like this that she wished she had Kurumi around. After all Kurumi was the charm expert and could clean Selina up in a heart beat. However, she was all alone in a maze with her favorite top ruined.

The maze is just beginning to feel a little bit challenging for anyone of them. It looked kind of simple outside. Well, Jonathan thought wrong. He can see Simon pacing faster to find Selina. After all they're both partners and the girl, wherever she may be, might be injured or something. That was once heck of a scream. Not something you can joke about.

Jonathan looked at Simon as he asked the question "Yup. Alright here in the back" he said while turning his gaze to Kurumi. Yup. She's also alright. Well, the three of them are alright. Jonathan is still on guard for you might not know if another dummy will come to attack again.

"I am sure once dementors start showing up someone would jump in and do something," Kurumi said in response to Simon's off the cuff comment. She was, perhaps, a little too serious in this suggestion, but it was true, right? Looking around, Kurumi swallowed nervously. If they WERE to show up, they would be in trouble. Is Jonathan scared?

of course he is, he would be considered a fool if he didn't think so. The maze was dark, dirty and quite frankly, getting on his nerves. Who are the people who created such a game and let any students come to join. Really?! If his father knew about this well.... well, it's best not for him to know.

Out of nowhere, did Kurumi just squeak? Jonathan stiffened up. And turned his back "Did you see something?" his wand ready. Right now, he's not even browsing his spells. If ever someone attacks them the only spells he could cast is the expelliarmus and the famous stupefy. Which would be lame if their next attacker would be something even bigger and maybe vile.

Or what if Kurumi was right... Dementors. Now, Jonathan was definitely freaking out even though he is trying to make a casual expression about it. Dementors? He can't even perfect the patronus spell let alone attack those bloody cloaked freaks. His father did once taught him but truth be told, Jonathan took long enough to produce a tiny patronus. And it's not even good to scare one dementor away. Bummer.

If ever one shows up in the middle of the maze, maybe Simon could produce a bigger shield.

Simon raised an eyebrow as Kurumi's response not expecting the rather random comment about dementors. "I don't think the carnival people are that cruel," he added as he continued to lead them on. At least he didn't think so and hoped they had some retraint.

Get a hold of yourself Simon, they wouldn't be that stupid!

Simon shook his head to get the thought out of his head and focus more on the task at hand...getting around the maze to where Selina was. The trailend of his patronus had faded in the course of their travels causing him to sigh. Now it was just hoping the walls didn't move and confuse them all. But then the pathway brightened and the meerkat reappeared looking as if to beg him to follow and so Simon picked up his pace.

Alicia walked into the maze and looked around for a moment, it wasn't hard to hear a little fourteen-or-so year old talking about dementors. Not here? She hoped, gulping. Little Miss MLE was little miss scaredy cat as well. She'd probably scream louder than anyone else.

Listening she heard other voices - voices she had heard before. Well, atleast there were older people here to help incase there was an attack.

She walked forward, her wand at the ready. Why had gabriel sent her to a place that would if she failed to keep up leave her smelling like the losing side of a gobstones match. Wretched.

As she stepped forward a dummie popped out right by her leg - quickly she flicked her wand towards it and quickly blasted it. There, she wasn't hit with a horrid stench - for now that is.

Hopefully nothing goes wrong in here and the dummies don't come to life... she thought for a moment before berating her own mind for even thinking it. Stupid stupid stupid. Don't freak yourself out.

Stay calm, stay calm, stay calm. Hearing a cracking sound behind her she whipper her head around. She was back?

After leaving Hogwarts for a few - well the rest of term she was back. Well, back in Diagon Alley...being possessed and not taking it so, well isn't the best thing for a teenager. Especially one who was trying to 'finish' school. Kyle smiled, over to Alicia as she saw her. Waving slightly.

Hey aunty hows it going? She asked, walking over to her. Mum and dad said I could move back in with you. She chuckled - now it was just time to get a job after Hogwarts after all her aunt had already rented out a room to a near-stranger. So, she needed a job - and a place of her own. And not to mention to apologize to the friends she had deserted when she was whisked away like dirty laundry. Never to be seen or heard from again.

But now she was back. In the flesh. And the brain of course - no more spooky pirate lingo from this lil'blondy.

Selina was still standing in her place where Simon's patronus had just been glowing when she started to her the crumple of leaves around one of the hedges close by. She drew her wand and prepared for whatever was behind the hedge. She was currently not in the moood to be messed with by this maze. It had already caused her to be covered in a disgusting smelling and tasting liquid that she did not enjoy, not in the slightest. Now if it wanted to mess with her she would give it some serious ginger power... um third year power. That was what she meant.

Her feet started to tip toe over to the hedge and she twirled her wand in her hand to prepare for an attack. If it was a dummy she was going to blow the blasted thing up into a million pieces. Her patience was threading dangerously thin.

Then with a breath she jumped around the corner with her wand drawn, "Expelli...! Simon? Kurumi? Other person?"

Elizabeth wasn't one to show any fear, and she didn't but inside she was screaming. But she knew she could get through this. Her mum and dad taught her spells young wizards her age wish they knew. Some even Elizabeth wish she didn't know. "We better keep moving Anna! You never know what can pop up in this maze." Elizabeth looks around kind of nervously with her wand at the ready.

Simon glanced back as he heard footsteps and a loud squeak, noticing Kurumi rushing to catch up to him. He gave her a small reassuring smile before turning back around and continuing on along the winding path. "Expelliarmus!" he cast as the next obstacle appeared just barely catching it with the spell, most of it shooting right past. Hearing a sound, the graduated lion almost thought he had hit something more and froze in place alerted and between the younger two and whatever it was but nothing errupted so he relaxed.

It was then he heard Selina's voice again though this time closer to normal volume. "We're coming Selina," he called back, his voice raised to insure it carried as much as hers did. His wand was only up in defense should anymore dummies arouse from the shadows as they walked, eventually coming around a corner and spotting the missing girl and lowering his wand.

"Are you okay?" he asked concerned, looking Selina over and tentatively walking closer as she stood wand raised.

Kurumi shook her head at Jonathan. "Nope...just...o-o-overthinking things," she said with a nervous smile.

Kurumi trudged forward and decided to hold onto the back of Simon's shirt just in case. She would hate for them to be separated now. Some rescue mission that would be. Her breathing unsteady, Kurumi's violet eyes continued to dance around the walls of the maze just waiting for something, anything to come popping out. Hopefully, nothing cloaked in black would make its appearance known.

Kurumi nearly jumped out of her shoes when Simon cast another spell, but she regained her balance when she saw the somewhat distant figure of Selina.

"SEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEELIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIINAAAAAAAAAAAA A!" Kurumi cried as she ran forward with her arms stretched outright. "I was so worrie----"

*THUD*

In her haste to hug her friend, the now forth year lion failed to see the rock right in front of her and her face was now smushed into the ground.

Slipping out her wand, she gave Sabel a nod, and nudged him lightly with her elbow before proceeding toward the mouth of the maze.

"Onward and upward." Tori nodded brusquely and led the way into the maze, not spotting any dummies to stun just yet. She did, however, notice the smell getting worse.

Ew. Somebody must have set off a dungbomb in their pants. For serious.
