Try your wand arm at the Wand Shooting Range, where the brave test their magical prowess! Enter the hedge maze with your wand at the ready!

The aim of the game is to make your way through our overgrown maze and take down as many dummies as you can. Dummies will pop out at the unwary witch or wizard from every angle and will disappear quickly. The fast carnival-goer must stun the dummy right in the center of its target before it disapparates. Be careful of where you aim; pellets filled with odorous liquids have been placed in strategic places around the maze. If you misfire and hit a pellet, the liquid will squirt at you; this is similar to how gobstones will squirt losing players with nasty-smelling liquid.

Winners will be easily recognizable: wizards and witches who are victorious will exit the maze unscathed and without the smell of the foul liquid about them. The number of dummies stunned by a player will be marked on a counter that can be found at the maze's exit.

Simon simply shrugged as Selina commented on his paying for her. "You're welcome," he said before relenting to her counter offer of her covering lunch as return payment. "I guess I can agree to that," the former gryffindor replied figuring he probably wasn't going to be to fight her on that subject.

Following her inside the maze once they were allowed past, he walked through the passageway doing his best to pay attention to his surroundings. All was going fine through the quiet, unoffending green structure for a while. However when he turned at Selina's shriek, Simon found himself nearly face to face with a green wall that had grown up separating the two friends in their tracks.

So much for paying attention.

Simon turned back around just in time for a dummy to jump up only a few feet in front of him and the path he would take. He raised his wand in response and aimed a spell, it hitting the dummy just as it disappeared letting the spell pass through so one couldn't be certain if it had actually hit or not. Whatever the answer, the boy hadn't hit anything that hit back so he took a deep breath and continued on.

Ok so Emily liked carnivals in general... but this, this was just soooo much better! A Wand Shooting Range! Even just the thought of it was enough to get her senses tingling, her muscles tensed and at the ready, the adrenaline coursing through her veins.

Yep, this was where she wanted to be. And at least this way she could keep an eye on the crowd, with her wand out, and not looking like an over excitable trigger happy trainee auror.

Emily was also eager to see how her training and target practice was paying off. Surely she'd be pro by now? She approached the maze, but didn't enter, instead she just observed for a little while. Watching the people milling around her. She wasn't looking for trouble... she was just looking out for trouble. There was a difference. Heh heh.

Selina was ready now for anything that would come her way since her first encounter with the dummy had pretty much summed up her purpose. With a wand at the ready she was sure that she could take on Simon Bennett! She turned around to gloat that she could handle this when she saw that Simon was not there. It was like he had just vanished. Suddenly she was very scared- she was alone... in a maze... with no idea what was coming next.

Timidly she squeaked out, "Simon?" The next time she said his name she yelled out loudly, "Simon! Simon are you alright?" Now she was panicking. This was bad... no this was awful.

Just as she was about to yell again another dummy appeared and she yelled loudly. Although her startled manor did result in her wand casting a stream of light and vanishing the dummy. "Merlin," she muttered under her breath.

EXPELLIAMOS Elizabeth yells again. To her surprise she was good at this and she thinks that this is a better way to take out all of her anger. But she did love to be mean to people so she wont give up on that quite yet.

Sabel still wasn't entirely sure what he was doing at the carnival. He was utterly exhausted and his entire expression showed it. Really, he should have hidden himself under the covers of his hotel bed, but given sleep didn't even come anymore there wasn't much of a point. So, he looked like a thinner, baggy-eyed version of the Sabel that had existed before Hogwarts took to spring break. And he didn't care much.

He did however, give pause when he caught sight of his fellow YATI member nearly bouncing about with excitement at the wand shooting range. His eyes drew from her to the range and back again, a very faint smile that failed to touch his eyes crossing his lips.

"Are you sure participation in this is a good idea?" Sabel moved up beside Emily and tucked his hands deep in his jacket pockets. "Last you took out your wand you took out half of a room's supportive system."

A small, brief chortle left Sabel as he stopped beside Emily. "That's because you didn't have a target to attack." So different, because there was no offensive. It had all been defensive. At least the majority of it.

Glancing down at his 'partner', Sabel gave a faint shrug of his shoulders before letting his eyes drift about. "Do you want to be reassured or spoken to honestly?" He didn't give himself enough credit to think the girl might care for him in any way, so the option seemed a little pointless, but there it was.

Purely deffensive? Pfft... she didn't see it that way. What with those bloody Acromantuals. She shuddered. Even though she did pretty well, she couldn have handled herself a bit better at times, instead of letting her fears affect her. "Mmm... still, I could have gone through the thing a lot quicker if I took downa wall or two." Heh... yeah, she could have, but then she wouldn't have learnt much from the activity. Emily was still itching to know the results.

Reassured? Pfft no, honesty was a trait she valued above any other. Her eyes didn't escape Sabel's face. Sure they had their moments of... disagreement, but they were YATI's, and if it wasn't for him then she'd probably have been admitted into St Mungo's by now... Damien would surely have driven her insane.

He gave a slight shrug. "There's not too much point to speaking." Drawing his hand out of his pocket, he frowned at the silver ring that he had subconciouslly decided to pull out. It glinted briefly in the sun before it was shoved back in his pocket, deeper than it had been before.

A slow, unsteady breath left him as he shrugged his shoulders again, as if to try and loosen a weight from them. "Life moves on I guess." NOt that he wanted it to.

It was nice to know that she was around. Really, it was surprising, but nonetheless comforting. But it wasn't really the same. Not the same as Arya, not the same as the others that knew him. Then again, he supposed they didn't really know him.

Emily frowned, she felt for Sabel, she really did. Despite their differences he was a nice guy, with good intentions. He deserved to be happy.
She didn't reply... simply because she knew there was nothing she could say to make the situation any better or easier for him. I'm sorry? ... There will be others?... There's plenty of fish in the sea? No... they never made anyone feel better. Still it was difficult resisting the urge to hug him.

Emily followed his gaze to the maze...
"Sure is... did you want to have a go?" Surely there was a partners option? Two YATI heads would be better than one.
Either way, Sabel looked like he could do with a distraction.

Jonathan is rather enjoying his day with the carnival. Well, he is enjoying it while his parents are gone. If they were here, he wouldn't be able to enjoy a single ride. His father will be sending Nobi over and his mother. Oh boy. His mother is just the most CARING mother of all. Jonathan is definitely suffocated by the constant caring and nagging. For once, he gets to just enjoy without any boundaries. Just him and freedom. And he's loving it.

Oh, speaking of which, his parents did owl him that they'll be coming home after 3 days. BLOODY THREE DAYS. That's like 24 hours only. NOOOO!!! Norway is such an incredible place, why go home so early? Right, because his mother wants to see her 'little Jonathan' before the Hogwarts express comes.

PFFFSSSHHH!!!

Jonathan kept walking and walking and came across this one. WHOAH!!! This looked really, REALLY AWESOME! It's wand shooting range and you get to go fight some dummies. This would be really good to enhance his spells, especially in the DADA subject. Hehehe.

Jonathan walked to the place and saw the wide maze. This would be really nice. Okay. Time to get his wand.

She spotted a sign to something that looked like it would not only be fun, but an excellent way for her to use dust off her spellwork that had been put in hibernation during most of her summer.

Kurumi smiled and nodded to the person in charge of the area and took a small step forward when she saw...

One week in Florida with Conan and a month in New York studying at the Wizarding United Nations. It certainly had been a very busy and exciting summer. Kurumi felt taller, despite her height not changing a bit, but she supposed it came from her having more life experience under her belt. She certainly had grown a lot in spirit - which would be very useful in the coming term.

Kurumi looked down at her dress. "What? Am I not allowed to dress feminine?" she teased adding a bit of a girly twirl at the end of her sentence. Her brothers would groan if they saw her like this - and her hair wasn't even in a pony tail! "I have shorts on underneath, if you must know."

She looked really adorable and well, happy. Last term, Jonathan saw her in her dreadful state. At least now, the smile was definitely back on her face. Which is really nice and comforting to look at.

So she did went abroad this summer. "Florida." he repeated. "That's really awesome." They have awesome beaches there. Jonathan should beg his parents to go over there next summer. Florida. What a nice place to stay in, especially during summer.

Sigh...

Jonathan snorted when Kurumi questioned him. "Well?" Well, it does said wand shooting range only. So maybe they don't really need to move nor run that much. Jonathan is expecting something like that would happen. "Nothing. You just look pretty." he complimented. Whatever reason it is, Kurumi is good in this right? She's in the quidditch team. She might be really good in defending herself.

ANOTHER SNORT. When Kurumi explained she had shorts underneath. Too much details perhaps? "O-okay?" Jonathan just smiled but he looked very amused by what she said. Okay, so they were both going to play this. Jonathan took out his money and paid for the two of them.

"Ready your wand then. Let's have some fun." he said while gripping his wand into his hands. Ready to fire when she is. He slowly went inside first. Well, of course he should, he should check if everything is okay and fi---

"stupefy" he uttered out. Phew. That was really, close. Out of nowhere a dummy just came attacking. So this is how the game works. "Hey, this is really fun" yeah, crosses fingers he won't loose any of his fingers.

"I only spent a week in Florida," she explained. "I was visiting Conan. I don't know if you know him or not. He is in Hufflepuff." Kurumi tugged on her hair nervously as she glanced at the sign. A maze, huh? Kurumi had had her fair share of magical mazes since entering Hogwarts. Hopefully this one wouldn't be too bad. "The first month of the summer I was in New York."

Kurumi blushed a bit at his words. Her? P-Pretty? Kurumi's hands went to her cheeks. She really was terrible at accepting compliments. She was so flustered that she missed his next few comments and only came back to reality when he was casting spells.

Oh, right, her wand.

Her thoughts traveled to Headmaster Tate. Constant vigilance and all that.

"Nice wand work," she smiled as Jonathan quickly defeated dummy number one. Maybe this wouldn't be so bad? She took a step forward, and found that the hedges behind them moved to close up the entrance. "Oh...looks like we have no choice but to find the exit now."

Conan... Conan... Jonathan thinks he has heard of him but he's not quite sure if he does. Hufflepuff. Conan... Hmmm... Does ring-a-bell but he can't figure out who he is. Curse Jonathan and his lack of ability to remember people's names. He should definitely get that out of his system. It's really embarrassing that he can't remember of names of people he sometimes know. Merlin help him. "That's really nice. New York and then Florida" Jonathan grinned. He has been to New York with his uncle Arthur but never to Florida.

Kurumi blushing was always something Jonathan really found interesting. She's too shy to just accept any compliment. She should definitely have more self-confidence. She's smart, pretty, and really nice. Come on, Kurumi. She's too humble.

Jonathan stunned ONE dummy. Only one. Merlin knows how many of those are still waiting to attack them in there. Jonathan guarded Kurumi by going in front. Steady now. Who knows how many dummies will attack them at ones. It's best to be prepared. Jonathan's head is moving left to right in and was walking in a very cautious way. This is better than their DADA classes last term. Lord Borr should have done this at Hogwarts.

Concentrate.
