Raffle Booth
 
Just outside of the many games, rides and even a lit-up stage, at the beginning of the carnival a booth is set up with a large, every few second color-changing sign on the front which reads:
'Raffle For Charity'

Upon closer inspection, one will see that two of Diagon Alley's own shopkeepers are running the rather creatively colorful booth, which certainly matches the rest of the Carnival-themed style that has taken over the South End of Diagon Alley for the summer. Two chairs are situated behind the booth, covered by the shade created from the Bouncy Castle close by. St. Mungo's pamphlets sit on tabletop free for grabbing that describe what the charity is for, and a large bowl sits on the table between the volunteers for the second 'copy' tickets.

Artemis and Coeus are both equipped with plenty of raffle tickets, and it's only 2 sickles a ticket, so don't be shy! It's for a good cause!
OOC: Feel free to interact with the raffle volunteers Coeus Miarkos (Pinky) and Artemis Chosen (D.A Forever), and please note that the raffle is only open to current (School, Ministry and Diagon Staff) characters, any and all.

Nika ran around the carnival carefree as she looked around and saw all the many booths and places waiting to be tested. She really wanted to head over to the ferris wheel, but decided she'd wait to find a friend to ride it with. Besides someone had to show up sooner or later. Maybe they advertised this carnival in the wizarding world or something. Being muggle born Nika had know idea, but normally in muggle London carnivals were advertised in the paper. After running around in circles for the past few minutes Nika found herself in front of a booth with two people sitting at it. Not reading the sign she raised an eyebrow and asked, "So what's this booth for?" PFFT. Who needs to read signs when you can just ask the people!?

Raven and her parents went to the carnival. (Her parents were begging her not to. They had seen enough magic for one day! But Raven had been set in her ways. Her parents knew that once Raven had her mind set, that there was no chance of ever changing it. It was best to just go along with her...) Raven saw the raffle and thought, yes! So she stepped up to the booth and said, "How do I buy a ticket?"

Yes, that would be the place that Jade would be drawn to first and it was probably the first place that Jayden would look for her. She was after all attracted to shiny and flashing things; so it made complete sense her interest in the booth. Glancing around, her eye caught sight of a pamphlet and reached for it. Reading material as she wait was always a good thing and seeing that she was always willing to donate charity, she wanted to know just what it was all about.

Jayden wandered around looking for Jade. He should have realized this would have been a large event and they really should have specified on where they were meeting. But Jayden had never really been one to plan ahead. Instead, he was enjoying the atmosphere and making mental notes of what games and rides to try out.

Soon, something flashy caught his eye. He looked over and saw a color-changing sign. Being easily distracted it took him a few seconds to realize what the sign said.

Raffle for Charity. Well. He couldn't argue with spending money for a good cause. (It was for a good cause, wasn't it?)

Looking around for more information he spotted the person he was looking for.

Hearing the familiar voice, Jade smiled and turned to her boyfriend. "Of course, you know how flashing things tend to distract me," she replied. If it was shiny and/or flashing, she was so there. It was the inner child in her that was drawn to it.

Folding the pamphlet back up, she placed it in her purse. "It's a very good cause, should we get a few tickets before we head inside?"

There were so many interesting attractions just past the booth and she didn't want to forget to donate before giving in to her inner child. The bouncy castle was so calling her name at the moment.

Aidon walked along the South side of Diagon Alley, marveling at the magnificent job the workers had put on. As he entered the beginning of the carnival area, he couldn't help but look at the obnoxiously flashing sign that advertised a raffling. Seeing as it was a good cause, and the young Ministry worker was all about helping the needy, he reached into his pocket and pulled out the two silver Sickles. He walked up to the booth and placed the Sickles on the counter.
"So how does this work, exactly?" he asked one of the raffling volunteers. "Are we allowed one ticket per person?" He smiled.

Tony walked into the carnival area, staring in amazement at everything he saw. It was pretty fantastical, and colorful. And bright. And shiny. And cool.

*ahem*

He bounced up to a table with a flashing, neon sign on the front that changed colors every few seconds. He saw that it was a raffle for charity, and decided that he'd might as well donate. "So, how much is one ticket?" He asked, getting out his wallet.

Jayden chuckled. "One of the many things I love about you." he said happily. Their relationship was unique in that they always brought out the childlike wonder and sense of adventure in each other.

He nodded. "Probably. I can't resist a raffle... I mean... a good cause." He looked around. "What is this supporting again?"

And more importantly, what were the prize options?

"Did you see there is a face painter?" he asked. "I think you'd look great with some cute little tiger stripes." he said giving her a playful shove.

"Hmm..." Witsy looked around not sure either of the tickets. "What if we do find some tickets and then multiply them so we don't have to keep spending our money," she nudged William half jokingly. Emily was just standing next to the raffle, her drink in one hand, pamphlet in the other, when the small girl started to talk to her. She was taken a bit of guard but smiled anyway.
"Uh, hi Anna." she said while having her hand shaken by the young girl "I'm Emily." She was still a bit confused, then finally got her barings. "Do you want one? A drink I mean. I've got another one..." She opened her bag and dropped the pamphlet and her drink in. "So Anna, are you enjoying the carnival?" Silly question really. Everyone loved carnivals!

"I have an older sister. She's left Hogwarts now though." she replyed to her question "I'm going into my third year." Yep. She was 13. Finally! She hated being the youngest of the year. "So excited for your first year? Hogwarts is amazing." she smiled. "But you've probably heard all about it from your brother..."

A raffle? Isobel liked raffles. Well, she liked winning things. She walked up to the booth and the person sitting at it. "How much is it?" She asked. She had some money in her pockets, and she hoped it wasn't too much. It was just a raffle, so it shouldn't be worth that much money.

" There is a first year HufflePuff named Louisa who has a back back, alwats keeps passing out at the ice cream shop at the outside tables" Willaim explained to her. "Oh yes I'm really excited!" Anna said happily. She was so happy to meet an older girl. "And yes I heard Hogwarts is amazing." Anna replied back. "Yes I did hear most things from my brother but I also read about the school a lot. My brother would also write to me when he wasn't busy with schoolwork. What's your favorite class?" Anna asked Emily.
