Victor squeezed Adriana's hand and shot her a curious glance. He'd never seen her switch through so many moods in such a short time but "adoring wife" was definitely his favorite of the day.

He smiled at her choice of face paint and nodded, first at her and then to the man waiting.

"The money is for your time, sir," he stated, pulling out a chair for Adriana to take a seat. "I'll just stand here and watch."

Skye approached the table, still shocked at magic. This was just unbelievable. She bit her lip and looked through the book, not sure what to get. Maybe she could do a dog. No, even better. A rainbow butterfly, that could actually fly! And she had a guideline! She pulled her wallet out of her pocket and waited.

"Of course sir. Thank you." He waited for the woman to take a seat while he selected the paints that he would use.

Once she had settled, he began, carefully beginning to shape the whiskers on one side of her face.

Another young girl approached the table where things were set up, and Brett nodded towards her. Both he and Artie were busy, but he spoke to her regardless. "I'll just finish this up real quick and I can get to you then." he explained.

Skye nodded and watched him draw the whiskers. Ohh. Very nice. She smiled to herself before glancing down at her wallet. Wonder if they could make it fly. Of course they could. It was magic. Right? Right?

Once she was settled, Adriana continued to squeeze Victor's hand lovingly. She had to fight the will, though, to wiggle in excitement. She didn't want messy whiskers.

Brett carefully painted whiskers on each side of the woman's cheek, ensuring that the lines were mostly straight, but had a slight curve to them. Whiskers weren't perfectly straight after all. "Just...have the nose left." He dipped his brush into the paint and made shallow strokes with it as he followed the contours of the nose. He selected another brush and lightly brushed it against the black to make a few scattered white spots.

Within a few minutes, he was finished. Turning a mirror towards her, he nodded. "This okay?"

Brett indicated for the young girl to take a seat. "Just pick out the image that you would like to have painted."

Wasn't the man done yet?

OH, he was! "It's very pretty," she smiled. "Thank you very much!" Adriana then got up from her seat and turned to Victor. "What do you think? Rawr?" She giggled and then hugged her hubby around the middle.

Christopher was also just a wanderer in this big Carnival, a lot on his mind. He was approaching a random booth when out of the corner of his eye, he happened to see.... FACEPAINT. As a huge nerd would, Christopher quickly abandoned the booth, setting off at a very fast walk towards his new destination. He was so getting his face painted like a tiger. And it would be AWESOME.

As the station came nearer and nearer to him, so did a very pink figure, becoming clearer an clearer. It was rather a curious sight. But after awhile, that blurry pink, sparkly, figure turned into....

"Feenella!" Christoper called with a grin, waving. Wowzers, it'd been a while since he'd seen his fabulous snakie friend!

Standing there the blonde was thinking about what to get painted her face as.Maybe a fairy or a princess?Did they paint princesses?Well it would be worth to ask at least.If not she would like to be a unicorn.Unicorns were beautiful and cool.Sooo that would be it.Aaaaand then Fee would take a looot of pictures with her cool painting.Yeees.

Just as the girl was about to get in the row she heard a familiar male voice saying her name.Turning around a a huge grin spread on her face."Chrriiisiiiiibeaaar",she squaled and hugged him,"iii missed you.Where the hell have you been?"Ohhh..they were in public and she called him Chrissibear.UUUps.Giggle.

Skye nodded once again before sitting down and placing the wallet on the counter. It was pretty straight-forward. A flying butterfly. That was rainbow. And maybe even sparkles if they had them! She grinned at the thought and pointed at the wallet before saying, "Can you make that fly, sir?"


Curse her good side....

"Oof!"

Feenella had ran over to him so fast that Christopher had hardly seen her! And she was surprisingly strong, because while she had given him a run-hug, she'd nearly knocked the wind out of him.

"Gosh, Feenella! It's so nice to see you! How's your summer?" he asked with a grin, though it was soon replaced with a blush as she called him 'Chrissibear,' his embarrassing nickname his sister gave him when he was little that Feenella had taken quite a liking too.

He hugged her back and smiled. "I've missed you too! Oh, I've just been at home for the majority of summer, though I have moved in with a family of wizards this summer! My father passed away last winter and my mum tried to send us away- she hates magic, and so now I live with Selina Skylar's family," he said cheerfully. It sounded awful, but his Muggle home life was a very bad one. Moving in with his best friend's family was the best thing that had happened since Hogwarts.

Brett smiled in satisfaction at the woman's reply. "You're very welcome." He began to clean the brushes and re-organize the paints.

Brett peered closely at the colorful butterfly. This would be a bit harder. He might have to call on a bit of magic for this one. "Fly? Hmm, I can make its wings move to make it seem like it's flying, but I'm not sure if I can make it zoom around your face." He replied with a chuckle as he gathered the paints that he would need. "That okay?"

"Fine with me." Skye replied, not the least bit disappointed at this. After all, it was better then standing still.

"Great. Just take a seat and try to be really still..." He waited until she was seated, studying the butterfly for a few moments before tapping his hand with his wand. He began to trace the contours of the butterfly onto one cheek, glancing at the drawing every so often. "Enjoying the carnival?"

Fee giggled a little as she noticed that she had almost knocked Chris over.Hehe."Uupsie",the girl said and chuckled,"i guess i am just really excited to see you."It had been months since they had met up the last time.Sometimes Hogwarts with school work and different houses could be a bad thing when it came to meeting friends."Its sooo good seeing YOU",the blonde smiled,"i missed you really much.What have you been up to?"He didnt just disappear right?!Summer wasnt over yet but until now it turned out the be pretty good."Ohh well my summer is pretty good up til now.Hanging with friends and meeting a lot new people",she smiled,"what about yours?"The Slytherin couldnt help but giggle when Chrissibear blushed about his nickname.Hoow cuuuute.


He moved in with a wizard family?That was soooo amazing,"Awww really?",the girl beamed,"thats really cool."His father passed away last winter?Now that was really sad.Why didnt she know that?!"I am sorry about your fathet though",the girl nodded,"but Selina is really nice.I am sure you'll have a blast at her house."The girls had met up a few times but she didnt really no too much about her BUT she was nice.

The blonde Malfoy walked slowly at the Carnival, looking from left and right. She had to make sure that she remembered everything about this Carnival so that she could write it down in her journal. The place was so huge and wonderful, filled with bright colours and laughing. The blonde looked around and watched as a child got her face painted. Face painting!? Amazing! Should she get one done? Naah, that would be childish... Very childish. But fun. And if Alexbear saw her, he'd just mess up her hair, lovingly, and drag her to the nearest Quidditch pitch for a quick game. Merlin. She missed her partner in crime. The blonde's brown eyes gazed over the whole carnival and she let out a small sigh. Oh Merlin. Wherever Alex was, she hoped that he was okay.

Still it would be funny if she showed up with a huge mask on her face to surprise the bromance of dear Theodore and her love, Braeden. She'd have to convince Alfie to come back with her and get a facepaint too. Yes, they could be the bouncers with facepaint masks. But... It would be fun. If Braeden saw her, he'd just laugh and encourage her inner child more but she was fifteen. The Malfoy decided to stand back and watch the kids get their faces painted, wearing an amused smile on her lips.

Skye took a seat and sat as still as she could. "Yea, I love the carnival. The bouncy Hogwarts castle is my favorite She responded, excitement flashing in her eyes as she smiled slightly.

Brett chuckled. "Haven't been there." He actually hadn't been anywhere except here, but no one had to know that right? He began shading in the red color on the upper wings and then changed to purple for the bottom pairing. "Looking forward to the beginning of the school term?"

Skye laughed quietley. "Yes. Its my first year." She said, still very excited. She would be bouncing in her seat of he wasn't painting her face. She always was a cheerful one.

"First year?" He repeated. "You have a particular house that you're hoping to be sorted in?" He asked as he made light strokes to fill in the clear blue color of the wings, followed by the green in the inner parts where the body met the wings. A dash of light orange completed the picture. He leaned back for a moment and eyed his work. Hm, magic was definitely useful. It looked professionally done.

He held the smile to himself as he reached forward and tapped the brush lightly and in random patterns along the wings to give them an iridescent look.

Finally, he picked up his wand and winked at the girl. "Might feel a little tingle here." He murmured a spell and watched as the wings fluttered.

He held up the mirror for her to see the final product.

Launna agreed with him - Azkaban was the worst place she'd ever been to in her life. She'd lost count of how many nightmares she'd had involving the dreaded dementors swooping down on her and sucking out her soul. No one deserves that fate, she thought to herself. 'I've considered being a Healer,' she said in reply to his question. 'Or perhaps an Arithmancer - I'm really interested in the subject.' She reached down and pulled a book from her bag called 'The Numbers behind the Numbers'. 'This is a book I bought today,' she said eagerly, flicking through the pages. She'd already ear-marked several of the pages. 'Arithmancy is the study of divination through numbers. Telling the future, pretty cool huh?’ Launna paused as she considered something. ‘But it can’t be as easy as that, can it?’

She smiled and grabbed his hand and they headed into the carnival. Her mother always told her to hold hands as to not get lost and not to lose their person you were with and there were a lot of very tall people at this carnival. That gave her another great book idea and she smiled as her mind wandered off into a land where giants roamed.

Harlow looked up out of her fantasy as they walked up on the face painting booth, "Oh let's go here." she squealed as she let go of Nick's hand to clap a little.

Nick grinned he had spotted the booth when he was walking with his brothers earlier but they hadn't wanted to stop and wait for him to get some silly thing painted on his face. He flipped a couple pages in the sample book. " Oooo,I want to get a crup.I think.." He flipped a couple more pages. "Or a Dragon!!! Ohhh," He bounced excitedly as he got a brilliant idea. " half my face a Crup and the other half a Dragon!"

"Gryffindor. Well, I don't mind any house, but I'm very fond of Gryffindor" Skye said, a tingling sensation taking place on her cheek as he did the spell. And then finally, she was allowed to look.

It looked wonderful. Real, if it wasn't in fact rainbow. She smiled and took the wallet from the table. "I love it." She did. Well, she did...

Harlow was glad Nick wanted to get his face painted. Some of the designs were really pretty and she had never had her face painted before. This was going to be fun. She looked on as Nick flipped through the book of designs. "Ohhh I want to be a butterfly," she told him dreamily.
