The Worple and Warmsley Magical Travelling CarnivalThe Worple and Warmsley Magical Travelling Carnival is here for the first time in Diagon Alley. Sponsored by all your favourite shops of Diagon Alley, the carnival is here for the summer! With magical rides and games, food stalls, knick-knacks and entertainment, this is a party for all ages that you won't want to miss.
Care for a peek at the Freakshow? Step inside of the tent and let the weird wonders entertain you.
Inside of the red-and-white striped tent are five small stages, each station specified for the freak that works at each one. In front of the stages float plaques that bear information about the freaks to peak your interest. Please play nicely with our oddities and they will do the same.
Now, introducing the freaks!
Lady Bigfoot:
Lady Bigfoot, while still in her mother's tummy, was quite an unfortunate child. When her mother was still with child, she was caught up in a duel; such danger came with being a high-ranking cursebreaker for the Ministry of Magic. While spells shot back and forth between her mother and her foe, Lady Bigfoot's mum was struck with a witty engorgement charm on the side of her stomach. Thus, when her daughter was born, the child was cursed with enormous feet. However, as a full-grown witch, she sees her feet as a blessing "The better to stomp you with." and welcomes those who care to test their shoe size against hers.
Wilhelm, the Wizard Wolfboy:
Wilhelm's story is the stuff of recent wizarding legend. It all began with his parents, two werewolves who had been infected for many years by the curse that the full moon brought upon them. Although they had not intended to become parents to save any possible offspring from becoming werewolves, Wilhelm's mother became pregnant with him and the couple decided to deal with whatever challenges they would encounter. All throughout the following nine months, Wilhelm seemed to be a normal child from what the pediatric healer at St. Mungo's would tell them during their frequent visits. By a stroke of rotten luck, Wilhelm's mother went into labor on the night of a full moon when her hushand and herself had already transformed into unruly beasts. Wilhelm was born as a wolf pup and thus was not harmed by his transformed parents but once the sun had risen and his parents were back to normal, horror was etched in their faces when they saw the form of their baby in front of them, but with pointed teeth and fur all over his body. Thus, Wilhelm the Wizard Wolfboy was brought to this world. He is a normal wizarding child and, although his evident furry problem prevents him from attending Hogwarts, he enjoys quidditch and is prone to howling when he is pleased or growling when angry.
AcromantuLaura:
AcromantuLaura, or simply Laura, holds a history similar to that of Wilhelm, the Wizard Wolfboy. Her unwitting young mother stumbled into an acromantula den. She thought that the acromantulas would rip her to shreds but instead, the leader took her for his mate. Fearful of death, the woman agreed to become his wife. The leader of the coven of acromantulas and the woman came to be Laura's parents and thus is the reason why she was born with multiple legs. When Laura was old enough to toddle along the forest floor, her mother took her and ran off. Because of their poor finances and living conditions, Laura's mother sent her to Worple and Warmsley to help earn a living.
Admiral Dot, The Ex-Auror:
Admiral Dot was one of the best aurors that the Minstry of Magic had ever seen, being the head of several expeditions into the lairs of dark wizards and throwing dozens into Azkaban as a result. Unfortunately for him, what he considered to be his most dangerous mission would be his last. In battle, a wily dark wizard hit him with a cleverly aimed reduction charm. After the cry of "reducio!" and the pain in his side, Dot felt the room growing larger. He was, in fact, shrinking. Dot made it out of the battle safely but because of his tiny size, he was no longer physically capable of working as an Auror no matter how determined he was to keep his job. Approach him in the tent and he may regale you with tales of dark foes and big battles that he participated in before being reduced to three feet in height.
The Alchemist:
The Alchemist, who also goes by Joe, was a normal child. His parents worked in alchemy and often brought their work home. One summer day, Joe wandered into their workspace and, like any child, fiddled with what he was told to stay away from. Peering into a large vat of shrinking solution that one of his parents had been experimenting with, Joe tipped it over. To this day, the parts of his body that were touched by the extra-sensitive solution are still shrunken and a cure has yet to be created. Even an engorging charm seems to have no effect on his shrunken limbs. Feel welcome to chat with The Alchemist: he's quite the comedian.
Selina rolled her eyes, "Prince charming? Please, he seems like an utter git. All of that starring is not charming, it's creepy if you ask me." She looked back over to him and then back to Elektra. They looked to have locked eyes and were communicating in some odd inner language. Selina crossed her arms and took a step back letting "Prince Charming" and Elektra have there moment. However, that was not enough because the boy started to walk toward them. Elektra and Selina both started to panic as Selna fumbled out replies to Elekta's questions, "I don't know what to do. Neither of us know him and he is being all creepy like. I mean who does he think he is Harry Potter or something?" Just as she said that last part the boy approached and she felt very embarrassed, he had heard her.
He smiled softly and then rubbed the back of his neck. "Sorry I- I- this actually worked out a lot better in my head than it is right now." He paused for a moment and then didn't know what to do bu hug her. "Oh, it's good to see you."
Elektra raised her eyebrow. "Oi, you ok mate?" Elektra gasped when he pulled her into a hug. Oh, what did she just get herself into?! A complete stranger just hugged her and she didn't know what to do. Greeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeaaaaaaaaaaat!! Elektra patted his back gently and looked over at Selina and mouthed, "HELP ME!"
He pulls away and then takes a step back. "I'm sorry it's just...wow you look good. Much better than the last time I saw you. You got taller too."
Elektra raised her eyebrow. Was this the one who was sending her all of these random letters? No, it couldn't have been. "Who- Who are you?"
"You're going to find this hard to believe, but...I'm Zak and..." he paused for a moment just hoping he wasn't about to get punched in the face, but then again...he should know Elektra and how she would react. "I'm your brother."

Selina watched with caution as the stranger began to speak to Elektra. Something was very familiar about him, but Selina didn't trust him as far as she could throw him. He was not anyone that she knew and that unsettled her a lot.
As he started to speak to Elektra Selina eyed him darkly. Then he pulled her into a hug and Selina drew her wand on him. She didn't say a word until he pulled away and said that he was her brother.
Her brother...? What? She dropped her wand in shock.

Elektra's eyes widened like they have never widened before. BROTHER?! Words, not even sentences could form from what was just told to her. She looked at Selina and then back to Zak. "My br- But how- I didn't- Brother- Impos- Huh?" She mumbled and ran her fingers through her hair and then started to feel very dizzy from some reason. Maybe it was from all the shock, but everything went black for a moment to Elektra and she stumbled forward. "Oh, I think I'm gonna throw up."
"Twin brother actually." He said and shrugged and then sighed. "I wanted to tell you sooner, but I didn't know if I sent you the letters they wouldn't get to you so I had to remain anonymous. He then saw Elektra look a little plaer than usual and then she stumbled forward. Zak caught his sister. "Woah! You ok?"
Elektra felt Zak's arm catch her from falling to the ground and she looked up at Zak and then pulled away and backed away a little bit putting her hands up. "I'm fine. I'm fine. Just...I don't even know."

Selina was suddenly very aware that she had just dropped her wand, it was her life line and she could not afford to be leaving it about to get snapped in half. So she bent down and scurried to pick up. Her fingers laced around the familiar comfort and she looked back up at the two twins...? This was too much and to be honest she didn't believe a thing that was coming out of this man's mouth.
Her arm lifted her wand in the guy's face and she grabbed Elektra from him, "I don't believe you. Give me one good reason to and don't you touch her!"

Zak put his hands up and looked at Elektra's friend and took a step back. "Woah, woah, wait alright? Let me explain ok? I know that I have a lot to explain."
"Yeah, explain the 13 years that I never knew you exisisted!" Elektra stayed behind Selina and kept her guard up. She really didn't know how to react to everything that's going on.
"Elektra...you know who I am...looks it's hard to explain, but you have to believe me when I tell that I am really your twin brother alright? Now tell your friend here to put her wand down and stop making a scene in front of people."

Selina just pointed her wand more sharply at the boy who was begging her to lower her wand, "You give me one good reason to lower my wand, twin brother! Merlin, do you think she is dumb? You just stay away from her, you here!"
"Would yer look at all them FREAKS. Disgusting." The booming voice of a tiny, little and old man sitting on a taller, bigger and younger man's shoulder echoed throughout the tent. He hated the carnival. He hated the freaks. He hated seeing children. He hated that he had to walk around with another man's hand up his back.
He hated everything! Jerry was so angry; if he could, he would have spit.
Sometimes, Ben wished he could feed Jerry to Wilhelm, the Wizard Wolfboy. Or maybe Lady Bigfoot would be kind enough to step on him. He could probably put Jerry and Admiral Dot, The Ex-Auror in a ring together and have them fight it out. They were about the same size.
Despite the harsh words coming out of Jerry's mouth though, Ben walked around the red and white striped tent with a smile on his face. He loved the carnival! He loved the freaks! He loved seeing children! He wasn't too fond of having his hand up Jerry's back, but, he could deal with it.
The younger man waved to all the children, adults and freaks he passed, before taking a seat to watch the show, purposely trying to ignore Jerry. The angry old man.
If there was one thing that Jerry hated the most, it was being ignored. His grey eyebrows furrowed in ANGER as he slowly turned to face Ben. Was he paying attention?
Was he?
WAS HE?
A loud 'HMPH' could be heard before he turned to face anyone but Ben. Someone who would listen to him talk.
"Back in my day.."
He paused, waiting for someone to ask him to finish.

Zak looked at theprotective friend abd he huffed. "Look fire head this doesn't involve you alright?" With that he looked right at Elektra with his deep green eyes like their father Connor. "Ellie...look at me. You have to trust me. I really am your brother."
Elektra hesitated to look at him. She really didn't know whether to believe him or not but something inside her was telling her that he was telling the truth. She looked at Selina and lowered her arm and then looked to Zak. "I don't know why...but...I trust you."

Ben wasn't going to ask.
Elektra paused looking over seeing a-a- Oh you have got to be joking. It was at that momebt where Elektra and Zak had their first "twin moment" abd both said. "Oh, bloody hell." Elektra looked at Zak raising her eyebrow to him and then she chuckles and looks bakc at the Ventriloquist.
Zak paused when him and Elektra said that at the same time and he grins ad then looks at the doll which seemed like he was going to tell an inteesting story about back in the day. Zak was just dying ti hear this. "oi! What happened back in the day mate?" he said looking over at the two.
Nick looked at the girl who still seemed really freaked out. He just did not understand it. And then he saw her lips move. Did she say something? He heard 'that' but the rest of the sentence was lost on him. "All right..." Nick was just going to pretend that he'd heard everything. It couldn't hurt right?
Nick watched as the crup jumped out of her arms and started sniffing him. He just loved dogs and crups. They were so cute. He bent down to pet the dog and made sure to scratch him behind the ears. "He's cute. What's his name?" He had heard the girl say something that sounded like a command to the dog, but again he could hardly hear it.
Toni felt herself blush a little. She didn't like talking to boys... or anyone for that matter. She pursed her lips a little, but the boy seemed to just take it... though like most others he probably just decided to ignore her when she spoke. She didn't blame them, she would want to crane her ears to her someone who spoke as quietly as she did. Toni supposed people who actually had conversations with her probably didn't hear her half the time.
She was about to call Silviu off, but then decided not to as the boy started to pet him. "Silviu." she said still quietly. Though she supposed he'd probably make her repeat herself. unless he would try and listen closer, but she didn't expect that anymore.
Suddenly she heard someone yell out about the freaks... well that's not nice, she thought the same way, but she wasn't going to be rude enough to yell it out. She then saw a guy holding a wooden doll... who was he calling a freak?
Zak looked at theprotective friend abd he huffed. "Look fire head this doesn't involve you alright?" With that he looked right at Elektra with his deep green eyes like their father Connor. "Ellie...look at me. You have to trust me. I really am your brother."

Selina wanted to scream. Who did this guy think he was acting all self-righteous and all knowing. For all they knew he was some kind of creepy guy who was after Elektra's old money. She didn't trust him so when Elektra put down her arm Selina turned around and looked Elektra in the eye with an off putting darkness to the usual light blue eyes, "You're gonna trust him?" She looked back at the point and spat, "Fine. But when you get hurt don't come to me, because all you'll get is an I told you so."
Then the redhead stuck her wand back in her holster and started to storm away.

Simon had been wandering around the carnival having heard about it on a previous trip to Diagon Alley. He wasn't totally sure about whether or not he'd have fun or find fun there since he wasn't sure what to expect but the young man had hoped to spot friends of his that he hadn't seen since the train had dropped them all at the station.
Finding himself near what the signs labeled at a freak show, he heard the loud voice of the ventriloquist and his dummy, shaking his head at what he heard. The former Gryffindor then turned to move away before he was run into by red haired form seemingly storming off.
"You should really watch where you're going..." he mused registering who it was with a bemused smile. "You'll never know who'll run into."

Selina was furious, no she was more than furious- she was livid. Elektra could be so blindsided sometimes. Her capacity to have faith in people always shocked Selina. She could not believe that a random guy had been stalking them all day and when he said that he was her long lost twin Elektra believed him! Selina, if she were not on summer holiday and it was against school policy, would have hexed him within an inch of his life. UGH, Elektra just got under her skin sometimes with the choices she made.
As she stormed away from the girl she bumped into a tall frame and started to go off on them, "Oi, seriously watch where you are-" Her blue eyes finally rested on the frame of her bump and settled on Simon Bennett. With a bemused smile he spoke to her and she settled back into the heels of her feet, "Simon. Sorry about that, it's so good to see you." She leaned forward and gave him a hug, "What are you doing here?"

Nick smiled as he pet the crup. It really was cute. Now he wanted one. Gosh his parents needed to let him get a pet. Maybe he should just come home with one. They would have no reason to say no then.
Deciding that the girl was quiet, he made sure that he really listened in as she said the crup's name...which he probably would fail at pronouncing. Seeing as it definitely wasn't English. "Silviu? What language is that from?" He knew it wasn't English so there was no way this girl could lie to him.
SPOILER!!: ventriloquist

"Oh! Thanks!" Adelyn smiled brightly, "I really like yours, too." She tucked a lose curl behind her ear, and then replied, "No way! I'm a Gryffindor, too!"
Cove blushed. "Thanks!" she smiled back at Adelyn. "Really!? That's so cool. I don't think I saw you around last year. Then again last year was only my first year at Hogwarts."

Simon held back his laughter as she started to berate him from the collision. Well to be honest he had been a little distracted. He didn't dwell on it however, paying attention to what was being said as Selina finally caught in it was him. "Its alright Selina...no harm done," he assured her. "Its good to see you too," the older boy added with genuine truth as he returned the hug.
"Same as everyone I suppose," he answered, "Checking out the carnival. Always good to have another reason to come to Diagon Alley too." It wasn't as if he needed to buy any supplies for the school he was no longer attending. Stop dwelling on that Simon."So what are you up to? Why the rush? Not find the performer funny..."

She watched as Silviu happily let the boy pet him... Lucky him, he was getting a good petting, but little did he know that Daddy wasn't letting her take him to Hogwarts. He'd find out soon enough... but if she found out Daddy and Mummy were forgetting to feed him, they were sending him back to her right away.
"It's Romanian." she said, answering his question. "From the Roman name Silv..." but she trailed off towards the end. Mummy had said to stop explaining and Analyzing everything. She said people didn't like being lectured by people younger than them... and since the boy seemed slightly older, she decided to just stop talking.
Toni stared at the man and his wooden doll for quite sometime before turning back to the boy "He's not very kind." she said softly, yet rather angrily. She didn't like people who were unkind. No matter who they were, you don't call people freaks out loud... thinking it is one thing, but yelling it out like that.

Selina smiled as he hugged her, it was then that it hit her like a ton of bricks- Simon was not coming back to school come next term. Deep down she had always known that, it would have been naive of her not to know. It was just that it had not really hit her until just now. She had a special bond with her Captain that was something she really cherished. Now he would be plucked out of her life with a snap of her fingers. How would she handle that? Time would only tell.
She held onto him for a moment longer thinking all of that through in her head until she pulled away and he started to explain why he was there, "Well a Carnival is a pretty decent reason to get out of the house." However, when he asked what had gotten her wand in a knot she huffed and wiped a stray strand of red wisps out of her face, "Nothing... just Elektra and her stupid, ugh, nothing really."

I fought you'd saw me.” But he was glad Cass didn't think he was really one of the acts in the freakshow.
He was aware he was getting a look. One of those looks you gave an adorable small child or a cute ickle puppy. He frowned again in response. He hated being treated like a child. He half expected Cass to reach out and pet him. *scowl* <_____< She might very well get a slap to the hand if she did. “I dun' fink I could of even if I wan-ed to.” He replied ignoring the doting face hovering above him. “I ain' been to the wand shop ye'. “ He explained. He was, after all, still very new to the world of maagiiick. But he would remember Cass's advice, and once he had a wand, he would keep it with him at all times.
And then Tom was in the tent.. alone for a few moments and he wondered what he was thinking leaving Cass behind when he knew so little of the magical world. Did he want to seem brave and fearless? Was he trying to prove something here? ..But the next moment, he was being clung to, and in all honesty right then he didn't particularly mind being molly coddled. Cass was warm and smelled sweet and reminded him of his ma. He would be safe if the freaks decided to attack.
Cassie shook her head and frowned slightly. Freddie really needed to learn to not sneak up on girls like that. He almost scared her half to death. A world without Cassie Storm would just be absolutely tragic and less pretty of course."Well yeah, it's a bit scary isn't it?" She threw a nervous look around again." And no I really didn't but it's ok, my heart beat is back to normal."
She chuckled to herself when she realised that Thomas was indeed frowning and scowling at her. Just how cute was that? She had miniature Freddie here with her and he made the same facial expression. She suppose both Thomas and Freddie got told all the time that they resemble each other, which probably got pretty annoying to them, but still, she couldn't stop herself."You make the same little faces he always made. Must be in your blood. Was it your dad who passed on the frowning gene?" Had to be, because his mom was such a sweet lady....Oh? He hadn't gotten his wand yet? Poor boy was wandering around the wizarding world without a wand, that was not safe. "Well we'll have to fix that as soon as we leave here. You should have gotten that first. I mean I'll take you there if you want me to."
Right well Cassie wasn't planning on letting go of Tom any time soon until she was assured of the fact that they would definitely be alright, especially since he didn't have his wand yet. It was now half about keeping him safe and her being scared for both of them. Yeah she had to keep the little guy safe, his brother was a good friend of hers plus his mom was nice it was the least she could do really. The good thing was he didn't pull away from her." Lets look at the big feet lady first. She shouldn't be too scary." She lessened her hold on him a bit.

Elektra looked over at Selina. "Selina, wait-" she huffs watching Selina walk away and she shakes her head and then looks back at Zak. "Don't think you're off the hook just yet. You still have a lot of explaining to do. Just because I got you off the hook from being turned into a toad or something doesn't mean you have my full trust just yet."
Zak raised his eyebrow to Selina watching her storm away and then hears his sister talking to her and he looks back at her. "You want proof? Alright fine. I'll prove it to you ok?"
Elektra raised her eyebrow to him. "Fine. I think I know someone that can actually prove that you're telling the truth...I just hope she doesn't think I'm crazy." She huffs and then starts walking out. "Just let me do all of the talking."

If Simon noticed her hold on him for a little longer then usual he had now show of it, the young man simply pulling away on his end when Selina did. Young man....now that was different, but he was legal, technically had been since October and this summer was his first using magic outside of school. Another new thing.
"It certainly is, especially when one...runs into friends," he agreed with a smile, "Pardon the pun," he added chuckling. Though listening as she explained the reasoning for her speedy departure, he simply nodded to show his understanding. "Well then perhaps a change of venue is a good idea...not sure this "freak show" as its called will help too many moods."

Selina looked at Simon as he delivered his rutty pun and she rolled her eyes amused, "Oh Merlin, don't ever do that again. That was painful." She poked him in the side when she said the word painful. At least she could be comfortable with him now then when she was a blubbering idiot girl plagued by a crush. Now she was just her usual witty and playful self, but that crush for him was still hidden away somewhere in the depths of her person. It was something she would have to let go of, however, if she was to adapt to him being not at Hogwarts.
When he suggested a change of venue Selina grinned from ear to ear and said, "Please!" She looked straight at Elektra who was starting to stalk off with her "twin". If she wanted to trust a stranger, that was fine... don't come crying to Selina though when she got hurt.
sorry for the late response! I didn't see your post!

She's a muggle and it's only me and her since my dad died when I was little." She explained; for the past two terms, she'd spent most of her time home schooling and taking care of her mum. "But anyway, we'll definitely have to hang out in the common room or something once we get back to school."

"Okay..." Simon said at first before she punctuated her response. "Okay okay I won't," he added with a laugh as Selina poked him. It was nice to have these times of laughter and fun and it was one of the things he would miss for he wouldn't be involved in those moments when Selina and the others were back at school and they in turn wouldn't be a part of anything good that happened with him during that time.
"Very well then...we shall certainly move m'lady," he said with a smile of his own, motioning for her to take the lead in a 'after you' gesture. The former captain sure to keep pace but letting her decide the outcome having no clue where she had in fact been before they met up.

"Oh, I'm sorry. I know what having a sick family member is like. My oldest brother has cancer." Cove said sadly. "I love Hogwarts and I've only been there for a year." Cove said smiling. "Definitely! I'm at the lake a lot. I'm a surfer."
Cassie shook her head and frowned slightly. Freddie really needed to learn to not sneak up on girls like that. He almost scared her half to death. Thomas shook his head. “I ain' scared of noffin'.” Or.. he wasn't going to admit he was scared of 'anyfin'. Although, right now, his trepidation was more of the unknown of the magical carnival than what lurked inside the tent.
LITTLE faces!? If Tom knew what patronise meant, he would describe that comment as just that. Of course he frowned more. “I ain' a child, an' I ain' 'is clone.” He replied indigently. He admired his big bruvvah, he did, but Freddie and Tom were VERY different people. Freddie had turned all blaady posh since he met Trixie. Tom was still very proud of his roots. “Yeah, a lot of people say we're like our da'.” He wasn't sure about the frowning gene though. “But ma's Russian. They're known for being pretty.. serious.” Or somefin'.
His wand? He was REALLY looking forward to getting his wand. It was like an official confirmation that he was a wizard. The frown on his face faded and he smiled a little. “You'll come wiff me? ..Fanks, Cass.”
Cassie was clinging to him for dear life. It boosted his confidence a little. He was only thirteen after all, and Cass was—how old WAS she? Older anyway. He let out a small chuckle. Big feet lady. He nodded. “Sands good tah me.”
