Ari could only imagine how difficult it was for Nika's family to adapt to the fact that she was a witch. 'That's very brave of your mum, coming with you to get your wand. I think I'd have been terrified if I were her.' Brave indeed, if only for sticking around for her daughter, unlike Ari's dad, who couldn't get over the revelation that he had been married to a witch. True, her mother should have told him earlier, but still...

Aware that she hadn't told Nika much about her family drama before, Ariadne continued to talk nevertheless. She was sure she could confide in her housemate, they have become really good friends. 'We do, mum is great! She did teach me some magic before I started school, but she was also adamant that I learn things about the Muggle world. Maybe in some weird way she hoped dad would return and we would be a normal family. Naturally, no such thing happened.' It was easier for Ari to talk about these things now, she had matured a lot over the past year. 'What's your dad like?' she asked, trying to sound nonchalant,while getting a better picture of what fathers were like, since she had none.

'So you didn't get to do it?' Ariadne asked for clarification with regard to face painting. 'I know, I hate waiting in lines. Maybe it'll be less crowded later, you could try again.' she suggested. 'Did you do anything crazy in your second year?' Ari grinned.

"WOW. A carousel, and it`s enchanted!", Kelsey thought.She just HAD to ride it. She put her belongings in a safe place, and went to wait in line.

Ohhhh geeeeez so Annie knew that she wanted to be with Drew for the rest of her life? Wow. He actually had put to much thought into and wasn't sure. Of course he loved Annie but seriously did he want to marry her? The answer was probably yes but he just hadn't thought about it. "Ohhhh." Was all he could say as he wrinkled his eyebrow in thought. Did this make him like a bad boyfriend?

Andrew nodded and as he got off the ride and offered his hand to Annie. "Need some help?" He questioned with a smile.

Dani nodded and smiled- "So romantic" she giggled as she looked at the carousel and sighed happily before turning back to Fee and nodding- "Alrighty then!" she said as she moved and looked at all the different horses, obviously looking for the best and most prettiest ones of course. "So, enjoyed your summer? Been up to much?" she asked her softly.

Fee chuckled a little and started looking out for a pretty one to get on too.Really,they were all sooo sweet it would be hard to decide.But she couldnt get on every single one that would take ages.Hehe.Mhhhh,been up too much sounded too much for what she had done this summer but then again nothign wasnt true either."Well lets say i had fun",the blonde laughed,"i made my task to show all the new transfers around.What about you?"They were all really nice and meeting new people was always fun.Especially when your boyfriend was in France.

Witsy laughed "People gotta meet somehow. Like your parents we met at Hogwarts too."

Turning from Alice, she turned towards her other half of the Crazytastic Besties. Emma smirked as Selena started talking again. Had Sel fallen asleep? She must've had a sugar low. And then Sel wrinkled her nose. The blonde blinked her brown eyes slowly. She hadn't seen Selena do that since third year. The blonde smiled mostly to herself because she was delighted to have her best friend back. Her best friend since she was eleven. The sister she had never had and always wanted. Hmm. It was priceless to see Alice and Selena converse. So the blonde stayed silent and watched the show.

The blonde Malfoy's eyes widened and they grew to be as big as saucers (almost as big as Alfie's eyes). What? SELENA DIDN'T KNOW SEB? What was this madness? "Selena.. Sebastian's your dear Tall Person," explained Emma. Had Sel never bothered to ask his proper name? Or was it that she was just using other names to annoy him which she had done to Emma's crush in her third year?

Dismissing those ideas from her head, the Slytherin nodded as her best friend asked her to pinch her next time she was beginning to fall asleep. "All right, Selena Aurora Zabini-Riddle. It will be done but don't get mad at me," said Emma as she winked at Selena. Her eyes travelled back to her own dragon that she was sitting on and she saw a puff of smoke rise from the dragon's snout. Wait. Was the dragon alive? Psh. That was impossible. The blonde also dismissed that ridiculous idea from her head and turned back to Selena. Merlin, was Selena going to fall asleep? So, just in case Selena was going to close her eyes in the next second, the blonde poked her friend.

Alice rolled her eyes. "Soon, you're going to be hitting ceilings, I swear!" She laughed, understanding everthying. But, just then, Emma went and confused her again. So she didn't like TallPerson, but she was standing up for him..?!?! Alice decided not to even try to decode her mind anymore. It was probably more complicated than SuperGlue instructions."He's fine," Alice said. "Otherwise, I wouldn't have half as many schemes as I do now. He's an amazing sidekick, that Domino..." She smiled. That was the one thing she'd take pride in, her owl. And her SuperGlue skills, of course. Mastering the art of stickiness in eleven years was no ordinary feat.

As Selena spoke, Alice realized that the fifth year had fallen asleep. That music was dreary enough to make someone tired, she could at least admit that. "But chocolate isn't.... interesting," she retorted. "We could have Cauldron Cakes, if you want. Or Bertie Bott's Every Flavour Beans?" There were so many possibilities. Chocolate, though, was available at every muggle store. But... where did her birthday fit into all of this?? Emma asked the oddest questions, but this just added to her liking of the girl. Confuse the others and then snap their necks like a twig. Clever Emma. "Why do you want to know?" Be careful Alice, she told herself. This might be a trick question. Or just Emma being Emma. And what was with all the middle names?? Alice blinked her blue-green eyes, and stared at the two girls. Was she missing something? Was she falling asleep, too?

His unsure answer. Oh no. She shouldn't have said anything. Now she felt like going down a hill and stay there, hidden from Drew. But she couldn't. She was to stay there and be...convinced about his answer.

"Im good, thanks..." She said, jumping down the carousel without help. "Where are we going now?" Annie asked him.

" Yes, everyone hast meet somehow somwhere probably" William told Witsy. " If I remeber corrctly, my parents met when my dad had been paling Quidditch for Gryffindor and she rooted so hard for RavenClaw to win that he thought it was so cute" Willaim expalined to Witsy. "We did meet here, but it really had been love at first sight, but it took me twice to figure ot out" Willaim said to Witsy.

Nika nodded slowly just starting to realize that what Ari was saying was somewhat true. Nika had never really thought of it like that. Her family being brave. She just thought they were all ignorant, well except for her mum, but she wasn't much better. Then again at least she tried. "I guess it was brave... Considering how many boxes of wands I managed to make fly into the air." Hehe. That was fun. Well, it was fun for Nika, but it wasn't so much fun for mum. She got hit with a few of them... Heh heh, but it was only an accident! Besides it's not like the bruises lasted too long anyways aaaand it was only around fifteen boxes.

Nika let out a small sigh of longing. It must be great having magical family. She just wanted to talk to Ari all day about the second year's mother and what it was like to grow up with someone who had magical blood in them. Being stuck in her little muse Nika was taken by surprised when Ari turned the tables and asked about her dad. Well, Nika asked about Ari's magical mother, someone that Nika didn't really have in her life, so it was only fair if Ari asked Nika about dads. "Well... My dad likes to work. He likes work a lot. Erm he's a dentist. You know likes to pull out teeth." Truthfully Nika thought it was because he likes seeing people in pain, but she would never dare say that out loud. Besides she didn't want Ari to get the impression that all dad's only really cared about work. "He takes his job really seriously and well when he comes home it's late. So we never really got much time to talk. But when we did it was mostly about rules." Sigh.

"My dad loves rules. If rules were a person I bet he'd marry them." No lies. "But I think he only really likes them because I really love to break them." There isn't one rule that Nika hadn't managed to get past yet! An accomplishment that she valued very highly. "They're stupid rules really. Like we aren't allowed to play outside past 8:50 PM. Why 8:50 can't he just make it 8 or 9!?" Not like she'd follow it either way, but still. 8:50 was just such an irrelevant time. "Or we aren't allowed to go to the playground by ourselves. It's only five minutes by walking! It's not like I don't take a flashlight when I go!" Why must she take a flash light? Because. Nika likes to go on the swings at very unusual hours in the middle of the night. Just to aggravate her dad. Mostly she tried to get in trouble on purpose so that her dad would notice her more. It worked most of the times, but other times it just ended up going to far. "I let him catch me a lot of the times. I don't know why though." Of course she knew perfectly well why. She wanted his attention. "Sometimes when he's really angry he--" She stopped herself from continuing. She was going to go into details of punishments and probably continue on forever.

Nika let out a small gasp realizing that she had gone completely off topic! "Oopsie." Well that's not what all fathers are like. "I just got really of topic didn't I?" She let out a giggle as she tried to focus. "But i remember when I was younger. My dad would take us to the park, we'd bake brownies together and he'd always let my lick the spoon, and we'd play football together." Her favorite sport. She was awful at Quidditch, but even at a young age she had skills for football. Kicking a ball around, running trying to keep it away from opponents. It was just a natural skill.

"Well no, but I want to go back!" She wants to get a butterfly on her nose. "Well... Let's just say I did some weird things..." Like ruin someone's "almost first kiss", learn to walk in heels, going swimming with the giant squid, hugging random slytherins and winning the hug a slytherin day competition. She went a bit far with the last one. Everyone else got ten hugs, Nika she couldn't settle for only ten. She got 27 and a lot of yelling from the Slytherin house. "Are you planning to do anything weird or crazy next year?"

Dani giggled- "I've been spending a lot of time with Philip, with my niece and some of my family. And then I've been spending time with my friends from Beauxbatons, which was amazing!I missed them all so much!" she said happily as she thought about her group back at good old Beauxbatons. She smiled as she gestured at a nearby gold horse and went to get up onto it, pointing at the pretty one next to it for Fee.

Hateya climbed down off her nameless Crabster, too distracted by having a rides-buddy to be disappointed that it hadn't really spewed fire out of its bum. She waited for Tori to finish saying goodbye, and tried to ignore the white unicorn that had pretty much stalked her for the ride.

"Well what about the carpet coaster? It looks like fun."

As she said it, a carpet zipped by overhead with a few screaming people on it. She grinned, "Gives you an excuse to scream and yell without someone telling you to be quiet?"

Oooh a carpet coaster? "That DOES sound like fun," Tori agreed, waving bye-bye to her unicorn and following Hateya off the carousel. "I've never been on a flying carpet before!"

She'd never been on a broom either. OOH.

'You must've given the shopkeepers a run for their money, all right.' Ari laughed, imagining the scene Nika had described. No wonder that her mum preferred to avoid Diagon Alley alltogether this year.

Ari was expecting some sort of idolization of the father-figure, so she was taken aback by her friend's description of her father. 'Dentist? I think we're so lucky to be magical, my mum uses a charm for my teeth, it's quick and painless. Poor Muggles. I mean....I'm sure your dad is great at his job.' Ari could just smack herself for admitting her opinion on dentists.

The girl made a resolution not to say anything bad about Nika's dad. However, she couldn't control her laughter when the older Gryffie joked he would marry rules if they were a person. Technically though, laughter was not words, so she didn't say anything bad, and therefore kept her resolution. '8:50? Really? That sounds funny. Mum usually tells me to be back inside by the time it gets dark, but we don't necessarily have the same understanding of the concept darkness.' Anyway, the small town where Ari lived was the safest place in the world, nothing ever happened there.

'I agree that rules are sometimes meant to be broken, but maybe if you tried following some of them every once in a while I'm sure your dad would be proud of you and hence, spend more time with you.He would notice an improvement, wouldn't he?' OH NO! Did I just sound like a teacher? Did I?!? Ariadne was mortified! If she weren't so short, no one would believe her to be only 12 by the way she talked.

Off topic? What was off topic? Oh, yes, back to Nika. 'No, don't worry, I like listening to people talking about their families.' Ari smiled. 'Baking brownies together sounds very cute. Does your dad know to bake and cook? If so, that's impressive! My mum can hardly boil water.' Ariadne chuckled. Well, cleaning the mess in the kitchen was as nice a time as any to bond with her mother.

'I remember you told me you liked football!' Ari exclaimed, really pleased that she remembered that piece of information from a conversation that had taken place long ago. 'Sorry for the outburst, I was just proud of my memory.' the second year giggled. 'And I also remember you promised to teach me how to play someday.' she added.

The way Nika trailed off made Ari even more curious to know what her housemate had done in her second year. 'Shrewd...' Ariadne thought. 'Of course I want to do something crazy, but I'm not making plans. Spontaneity enhances the craziness.'

Why did Annie not let him help her down??? He was just trying to be a good boyfriend...Was she upset with him or something? "Ummm I don't know. We can go where ever." He said with a shrug. But then Drew looked at Annie again. "Is something wrong? Is it something I did?" He questioned taking her hand carefully into his.

"Are you hungry? Or want a snack?" She wanted to make a suggestion, since they didn't have to buy supplies for anything in Diagon Alley. That was the only good part about having to leave Hogwarts, actually. Although, well...she was still kind of shocked about his Ooooh answer. Annie felt that she had scared him about the marriage part. But her mouth was bigger than she was. No magical, nor any contract would ever shut it up...

And she shook her head. "It was me. I shouldn't have mentioned...the m word. It is even scary for me, but I blah blah blah so much at times that I bet I scare you to death..." Her hand was now surrounded by his. She grinned. "I'm sorrry. I just have to learn to shut up sometimes." Yeah, she was finally acknowledging it.

"Yeaaaaah food sounds good." Andrew said in agreement with a smile. But then Annie said what was wrong. Ohhhhhhh so it was her fault then??? "The m word. You mean marriage?" He asked with a chuckle. "Annie its okay to say it. And yeah the thought is a little scary but mostly because I haven't thought about it....But that doesn't mean I wouldn't consider it. I love you and I could even imagine being with anybody else." Drew said honestly with smile.

"And yeah sometimes you do really need to learn to shut up babe." He mentioned with a laugh.

"A pizza. There is a parlor, outside Diagon Alley" And there she was again, talking and ordering where to go. "But I can eat anything. Even ice cream sounds great now. But I'll go where you wanna go." She said with a nod, and a small grin.

He hadn't thought about it? Thanks for being honest, Sparks. Those were her thoughts right at that moment. But then he said something that...totally calmed her down. "Me neither. And yes, I know. I admit I talk a bit too much sometimes." She firmly said.

Emma rolled her eyes and laughed at Alice's comment. Hitting ceilings? Merlin. No way. "Well, I think that I've stopped growing," she admitted remembering what the Doctor had told her. Emma smiled at Alice sweetly as Alice talked about Domino. "Yeah, he sounds pretty spectacular. A good and loyal partner in crime," she said and winked at Alice, before adjusting her bracelet that had started to fall of her wrist because it was way too big for her. Yeah, it was her older cousin's bracelet.

Why was Alice acting so weird about this question? The blonde narrowed her brown eyes, confused. She didn't understand why Alice was acting like this. Raising her eyebrows slightly, the blonde began, "Well. It's not like its a trick question or something. I like to know when my friend's birthdays are," she explained simply and nearly folded her arms and pouted but the Malfoy had more control. No, she was a fifth year. Not a young first year. Bitting her lip, she looked down at her bracelet and twirled it around, waiting.

"Pizza actually sounds pretty good." Andrew said with a shrug. Either way was fine with him. He smiled to Annie. As long as they were together he was fine with what ever they did.

"Yeaaaah you do talk to much sometimes but I love you even if you do. So it's okay love. And about the whole marriage thing we will just have to see." He said with a wink. He truly loved her. And he might actually want to get married he just wasn't sure if it was anytime soon. But maybe.....

Alice grinned. "Yeah, you'll be surprised when you shoot up a couple more inches, then..." she laughed. The young girl beamed as Emma praised her owl. "I bet your partner in crime is just as awesome. What was his name, Allen? Or was it Axel?" Hmmm... names. Unimportant things for unimportant people. But Alice was distracted from the subject as she watched Emma adjust a bulky bracelet. it seemed much too big for her. "Is that yours?" she asked.

Alice immediately looked down as Emma spoke of her, called her a friend. She couldn't remember a time that she had a friend. She was always too busy with scheming and pranking for a social life. But she felt... happy. Alice had a friend, one who she had so much and common with. A second partner in crime. Though a different kind. She didn't think Emma would ever deliver mail, or drown in SuperGlue. "When is your birthday?" Alice asked, still trying to avoid the question.

The blonde shook her head and laughed. "Your silly," she said, with a wide smile on her face. Alice was very silly. Silly indeed. The blonde's mouth fell wide open to make a perfect O. DID ALICE JUST PULL A SELENA? Emma grew flustered quickly and blushed slightly. Yeah, Emma was totally over Alex. She just cared about others calling him the right name. "His name's Alex," she said sternly, "Alexander Reed. My Alexbear," Yes, he was her one and only Alexbear. NO ONE. Could steal that nickname!

Emma chuckled at Alice who was avoiding her question. Shrugging nonchalantly, she decided to answer her friend. "My birthday's July 11th," she explained, with a wide smile. "Now, will you tell me your birthday?"

"I am not," Alice declared. "You are just freakishly tall." Oh, Emma. The first year would never give up on a good argument. But then Emma's mouth fell open as she gawked at some invisible thing. Oh Merlin. What now?! "Alexbear? You call him Alexbear? What, did you date him before your current boyfriend, the one who you refused to let me SuperGlue?" Alexbear, for the love of Merlin. TallPerson and Alexbear. Alice almost felt bad for them, with the names that Emma had given them.

The young girl sighed. The Carousel had come to a halt. She patted the head of her dragon, the silvery-white one with one eye coloured bright blue, the other a shining green. The Thing. Oh, how she would miss him. "My birthday is in the winter," Alice said blankly, finally giving up. "Now can we go get sweets?! I'll even let you get chocolate if we can go right now." Alice thought a minute. "Or we can have another go?" She really didn't want to leave the Thing. Some grimy kid with filthy hands would come mess him up.

The blonde smirked. Arguing wasn't going to get them anywhere. So Emma decided to let it be. "Whatever. I'll be my height and you'll be yours," said Emma, shrugging her shoulders nonchalantly. Emma blushed quickly and shook her head. "No, no. Alexbear is my brother figure. He's the brother I never had. And besides, he likes the name," she said. Yes, he had told her that he LOVED the name. Yeah. Psh.

As the Carousel had been slowing down in the last couple of moments and now it had come to a complete stop. The blonde stroked her dragon with her right hand and rested her head against it. Oh, Alice's birthday was in he winter? "In the winter? Nice," said Emma, smiling. Now what month was it in? Noticing that the first year probably didn't want to talk about birthdays any further she decided to stay silent. Besides, she could find out later. Yeah. Emma turned to look at Selena and then looked back at Alice. "How about one more quick ride and then we can go off? Or we can just go right now if you guys are having a sugar low."
