Satiate your appetite and your thirst at our food and refreshment area! Enjoy foodie favorites while taking a break from the excitement of the carnival. Please note that prices are subject to change. I.D. is required for alcoholic beverages. All candy has been treated with an engorgement charm and is jumbo-sized.

Iris looked away from the menu and tapped her foot in beat to the music that was all around her. And then she saw Finn make his way over. So the owls DID reach at least some of the prefects, that was good. She nodded in return to him, also with a smile. "Hi, Finn." Ooookay... now if all the other prefects wanted to just show up NOW... that would be nice.
She fiddled with her engagement ring as he asked how her summer was going. "It's been... eventful." She said, slowly, adding a small nod at the end. Yeah... There weren't really any other words she could use without telling him the whole story. Iris severely doubted that Finn wanted to hear that...
Iris looked away from the former Head Boy when there was a loud... noise making it's way over to them. ... What on Earth was this bloke wearing?! The blonde just stared for a moment, taking in his appearance.

Truly DELIGHTFUL?!
... How many mouldy cauldron cakes had HE eaten?!
"Ew... No. No, no, no. We're... not... no." Iris interjected, quickly. She was looking at the music man with her eyes widened, probably from the shock of someone thinking that her and Finn were together. "We aren't.... We're not a couple." Then Iris glanced at Finn. "No offence, like..."
LOL. Iris had meant it with every offence, but what ever. Politeness is important and all that.
And then Sophie showed up. With a bright grin, Iris ignored the man with all the silly musical instruments, and turned to the girl. "Sophie!" ... Oh, she was going to get this question a lot wasn't she? "It's been eventful." Iris repeated. "What about you? How's your summer been so far?"
While she waited for her response, Iris eyed the music man... WHY on Earth - HOW on Earth did he think that her and Finn were a couple?! EW. Never in a million years.
" Glad I found you" Willaim told the healer. " there is a girl Louise who hurt her back really bad, it could be broken" William said to the nurse. "She is at the ice creamshop and is at Outside seating" Willaim explained to the healer. " Please come quickly" he begged her.
Now where is Witsy? She wanted to eat and drink something over here.
"I didn't." She subtly nudged more food his way. Merlin, he was kind of stringy to be a YATI, wasn't he?
"I did all my schooling in Canada, and I still technically live there. I mean, why not, right? All my family's there and I can just apparate at the end of the day. Did you leave?" It was sounding like he had. And she'd heard BC was such a people-magnet, too.
Sabel eyed the food as he listened to her. His appetite fell a little and he shook his head in the politest decline he could to the offer. "My department's apparation licences have been revoked."
That was a good enough answer, right? He hoped so. He didn't want to start lying about the things that hurt again, but he didn't want to go into details either.

Sophie made her way into the carnival after she had been side-along apparated to the Alley by her grandmother. Her grandmother Matilda had errands to run whilst Sophie got together with her prefects and captain friends. The atmosphere was fantastic and the brunette wanted to go over and take a ride on the bumper brooms if there was time.
She had recieved her owl the same day she had gotten her acceptance letter to start her intense healer education at St Mungos. Her mother had insisted that she would break the news to her friends during the carnival. It would definitley raise brows and maybe even shock a few. Sophie spotted the familiar figures of Iris and Finlay by the food area. Heading for them she called out "Hi Iris! Hi Finlay!" coming up to them she asked smiling wide "How have your summer's been?"

Backing up from the duo he almost knocked into another two girls joining the group. "I"m sorry," the musician said again as he avoided the collusion.
"Would you still want some music? " he offered hoping for no hard feelings.

Simon hadn't be expecting any sort of letter from Iris after graduation, especially anything related to their duties of the previous years. However as surprising as it was, it was also welcome...a chance to see some of his fellow classmates one last time at least and have fun together. That was something they had only really had at the lagoon and after all the work that had had happened before they had meerly been tired afterwards for the most part.
So when the day and time came for the get-together, Simon made his way over to the meeting place hoping he would be able to find anyone through the crowds. It wasn't like they had robes and badges to catch other peoples' attention. He finally spotted a few familiar faces and made his way over to the group.

When the Hufflepuff Captain also showed up, Iris grinned and smiled. She didn't know the girl that well at all, and she'd not helped out as much with the Prefects' event, so Iris never got the chance to get to know her. Even so, she'd still invited her.
"Hullo, honey!" Aww, bless. She looked like she thought Iris was going to eat her. OMNOMNOM.

Iris stared at the boy that'd just practically barged into her, demanding her help. There was a kid with a broken back at Floreans?
... What did Iris look like to this kid, a Healer?!
"Um ... So ... Why did you go and tell the shop keeper of this injury, instead of running all the way to the carnival to ... tell ... me?" Iris really was completely confused by the kid's appearance.
And she was just pretending that it wasn't the first year that'd been really rude to her at the start of term feast last year.

Having put his juggling balls back into his bag for now, John wandered along the street, towards the refreshment area, juggling three long big bowling pins. These were among his favorite items to juggle, as they looked pretty epic. He glanced around as he juggled, hopefully there would be more people willing to watch him juggle. The rest area had been pretty dry.
He continued walking a bit slower so that he wouldn't drop his pins on someones head. That would be very bad. But luckily he was doing pretty well with juggling his three pins right now. Maybe he should've just kept with his balls....
Evan; dressed in HIS brand new PROFESSIONAL jersey that had HIS name and number 35 behind it, with casual jeans that looked good under the blue jersey, walked to the area where Iris and a few others had arrived. He even had new sunglasses, which were bought by his first ever salary of course. Offering a smile to everyone there, he removed the glasses by one hand as he greeted them with a "Hello." Observing the one-band-man with interest for a moment, he smiled at Iris. No wonder she arranged the man to give them a nice show.

Finlay was kind of messing with the hem of shirt as he really hoped that some of the other guys would turn up soon. Being around Iris on his own was kind of annoying, and awkward. They didn't get along at all, which wasn't good seeing as they both cared for Fallon a lot. He was hoping they'd get to like each other, considering that they were probably going to be in each others lives for a long time, if they both continued to be in Fallon's life anyway, which Finn was pretty sure would be happening. "I bet..." He grinned, nodding down at her ring. He was SO glad that Fallon hadn't been expecting him to propose, which was so good.
"Congratulations by the way..." He'd not go chance to tell her before, which had probably been really bad. Finlay smiled as someone else came up to them though. Sophie. He'd never been happier to see her. "Hey Sophie." He smiled at her. Things already felt less awkward. Which was so good. "My summers been good, spent a lot of time with Fallon." He decided to leave out the bit about them moving to New York together though. He wasn't sure if Iris knew yet. And he didn't really want to cause conflict between them just yet.
oooh. someone else was here now too. He hadn't really seen her around that much. She was the puff quidditch captain right? "Hey..." He smiled at her. Well there was a first chance to meet right?
ooh. And Evan had arrived too. Finlay nodded at him, impressed by his jersey "Nice Top mate..." He grinned at him. Nothing as impressive as his thought. Magpies rocked.

His was aware of someone looking at them and his eyes left the menu to focus on an older woman whom he wasn't sure if he knew. A professor at Hogwarts perhaps? He nodded back and gave her a small smile, before he turned back to the food and ordered a pizza for he and his fiancée.
Oh, he'd noticed her looking. That was slightly embarrassing. Still, at least he was polite enough to smile back and not just ask her what she was looking at. Some kids still had manners it seemed. But she didn't speak still, because the food was certainly more interesting for him, she assumed, than a conversation with her.

"This is my daughter, Scarlet," Issy said, the pride audible in her voice. She adjusted the blanket again and returned her gaze to Trixie. "She's nearly five months. But I'm not the only one with a new addition it would appear - who is this beauty?" A quick look into the little baby pouch the boy had strapped to him told her it was a girl, and such a pretty one at that.

Adam gave a nod of the head. He supposed it would be difficult for anyone to open up to someone with a random third person that they didn't know awkwardly standing there. "Perhaps it would be good to do it in a somewhat public place, somewhere that I could be looking at things on shelves or something while you two are talking." If they had the convo before they went back to Hogwarts they could do it somewhere in Diagon Alley...maybe at Flourish & Blotts or something like that. If it was going to happen later Adam thought a Library would be perfect, but he had no idea what the library at Hogwarts looked like.
All this talk about Dallin made him wonder what his girlfriend was like. "So...have you talked to his girlfriend about it at all?" Adam asked.

"Oh, that's gross." She made a face and reached over to give his shoulder a consoling little pat. "But you know, you could always ask one of your friends if you could side-along with them. If you wanted to go back and visit."
Morrigan knew her sister was always asking for side-alongs, back before she'd been eligible for her license. It was kind of like letting someone drive your car with you there.

Simon returned the offered hug glad to see someone seemed to miss him. Probably because they were in the same boat, not being around people they had been for a while as much as they used to be. "I'm...as well as can be expected," he answered truthfully.

Wrinkles were his only worries; she on the other hand had to figure out whether it was worth it to stay at the carnival to ride the rides with lemonade-covered clothes or go home and come back another day. And he wasn't even going to say thanks for protecting him from that stupid lemonade?!

This guy was incredibly lucky she had a pretty good amount of self-control because Vashti was highly tempted to hit and/or hex him at this point - especially hit since she wasn't allowed to do magic outside of school yet. But- wait, why was he pulling out his wand? WAS HE GOING TO HEX HER? But he wasn't a-
Instead of the hex or jinx that she was expecting, her clothes and face suddenly dried. A drying charm? So he was probably at least seventeen then and could do magic outside of school - or he just didn't care about the rules. Either way, it still kind of infuriated her that he could do it and she wasn't allowed. Stupid rules. "Not particularly," she remarked, crossing her arms. If this were any other person, she would've thanked him, but she wasn't giving him the satisfaction of his "people thank me" statement being correct. If he wasn't going to thank her, then she would do the same.

Simon hadn't be expecting any sort of letter from Iris after graduation, especially anything related to their duties of the previous years. However as surprising as it was, it was also welcome...a chance to see some of his fellow classmates one last time at least and have fun together. That was something they had only really had at the lagoon and after all the work that had had happened before they had meerly been tired afterwards for the most part.
So when the day and time came for the get-together, Simon made his way over to the meeting place hoping he would be able to find anyone through the crowds. It wasn't like they had robes and badges to catch other peoples' attention. He finally spotted a few familiar faces and made his way over to the group.

Pushing his way through the giant crowd, Legend made his way over to the place where they had all the Carnival food. His eyes caught sight of Finlay first- why? He didn't know they just did. But as soon as he say the other boy he quickly recongnized Iris and Evan and Simon and Sophie. So many people, basically. "Hey guys!" Legend said with a grin as he made his way over to the group. "What's up?"

Wrinkles were his only worries; she on the other hand had to figure out whether it was worth it to stay at the carnival to ride the rides with lemonade-covered clothes or go home and come back another day. Instead of the hex or jinx that she was expecting, her clothes and face suddenly dried. A drying charm? So he was probably at least seventeen then and could do magic outside of school - or he just didn't care about the rules. Either way, it still kind of infuriated her that he could do it and she wasn't allowed. Stupid rules. "Not particularly," she remarked, crossing her arms. If this were any other person, she would've thanked him, but she wasn't giving him the satisfaction of his "people thank me" statement being correct. If he wasn't going to thank her, then she would do the same.
He rolled his eyes. What, did she think he was seriously cocky enough to not get sarcasm? "Duh, I get it. I just ignore it." Best way to roll around here. Dumb girl. He liked being sarcastic. When other people like this girl decided to be sarcastic to....well....no, he wouldn't stand for that. He looked over at the other kid's starting to congregate. Leaving was now the best option. Especially with this chick being all angry at him for no reason. Will crossed his arms and looked at her. "Do you want me to soak you again then?" he questioned threateningly. Cause it looked to him like she was incapable of using magic outside of school.
What a burn. He loved the satisfaction of being of age.

And of course she didn't want him to "soak her" again - besides, technically it wasn't him who'd soaked her in the first place, it was some other random kid. It was just his fault that he'd dragged her in-between him and the kid. "I can easily do the same to you," she replied coolly. In fact, that wasn't a bad idea. Go buy her own exploding lemonade as she'd originally planned, and then make it explode on him - when he wasn't expecting it, of course. Oh yeah, she liked this idea.

Adam gave a nod of the head. He supposed it would be difficult for anyone to open up to someone with a random third person that they didn't know awkwardly standing there. "Perhaps it would be good to do it in a somewhat public place, somewhere that I could be looking at things on shelves or something while you two are talking." If they had the convo before they went back to Hogwarts they could do it somewhere in Diagon Alley...maybe at Flourish & Blotts or something like that. If it was going to happen later Adam thought a Library would be perfect, but he had no idea what the library at Hogwarts looked like.
All this talk about Dallin made him wonder what his girlfriend was like. "So...have you talked to his girlfriend about it at all?" Adam asked.
Louisa nodded agreed with his idea. "I hope I see him around soon, though. Because as I was telling you, he's in Ireland now." She put a strand of her loose hair behind her ear, feeling a bit sweaty after sitting here for so long, "I haven't talked to her. I don't think I will. Not until I see him and apologize for the train encounter of course," She smiled and shifted to get up, "I think we'll meet tomorrow for your school shopping. How about we meet at Scribbulus Ever Changing Inks?"

"I don't know if you've noticed or not, but the line to get back in line to get one of those drinks is looong. Plus I've got a wand I can use." What now guuurl?! He emphasized the word 'use' just to get on her nerves a little. Hah. Ohhhh little kid's who still had to abide by the rules.

One of the many pointless things his days consisted of when he was homeschooled. He sat around listening to tapes of award shows his dad went to. Not that anyone needed to know that. "Yeah, and too bad I'm never going to talk to you or look at your again," he pointed out defensively. He wasn't planning on leaving his house he got sorted into at school, unless he had to.

Vashti shrugged. "Whatever." That was really all there was to say to that. She didn't believe him - though now mostly because it seemed to irritate him than anything - and that was that. Ohhh, he was sounding defensive now though. Good. She hoped he'd be paranoid about lemonade exploding at him around every corner. "Is that a promise?" she asked with a smirk. Really, she would be perfectly fine never seeing him again even if it meant she wouldn't be able to give him a taste of the exploding lemonade. It wouldn't bother her that much.
Him insulting her parents though? That bothered her a lot.
Out of instinct, she draw her wand and held it tightly in her hand, slightly aiming it at him but not quite. "Don't you dare insult my parents, William," she snapped. He hadn't told her that his full first name was William, so she was only guessing. But what other names gave off nicknames like "Will" and "Willie"? And he really thought "Willie" wasn't a silly nickname? "Actually yeah, it is as stupid as it sounds, no matter how many girls call you that." As if being called that by a girl made it cool or something. Pfft.

Cove smiled. "The boardwalk a few blocks from my house has a year-round carnival. At night the ferris wheel is lit up and it's always so beautiful. They set off fireworks there, during the fourth of July. We watch them from our backyard." There were other special occasions that the Brett's would watch the fireworks from their backyards, but that was the first that came to her mind. "I'm a fifth year Gryffindor. It'll be my second year at Hogwarts next term." Cove said excitedly. She took a sip of her water and smiled at Feenella.
