2015: Meet StarShine

Hey everyone! I'm Deniz, and you'll get to know me this month. Sooo welcome, and let me talk about myself before we move onto questions.

I'm currently the Potions Master in the school RPG, this is my fourth term teaching. I also hold the position of the shopkeeper assistant of Madam Malkin's in Diagon Alley RPG. Lastly, my ministry character is Minister's personal assistant. I've been a member since 2009, and in the past I was also a Slytherin Prefect. So, you can see that most of my SS time is spent RPing. I love RPing, it makes me feel like a writer ( ) and it's an escape from real life.

Speaking of real life, I'm from that country right in the junction of three continents (Africa, Asia&Europe - I've been waiting for an opportunity to use this phrase!). I'm a medical student who loves languages, travelling, reading, swimming, and classical music.

Helloooo!

I can speak Turkish (my native language), English and Spanish fluently. I'm currently learning German. And... Arabic sounds cool. Persian too. I'd also never grow tired of listening to Greek... I'd LOVE to speak an African language too. And Mongolian.

I didn't choose him for Culloden, I chose Culloden for him. XD Loooong before I could even hope of becoming a staff member, I thought that "Special One would be such a cool professor!", so yeah XD

Hard question I'll say... Pilav üstü kuru fasulye (Beans on top of rice). But there're so many delicious food.

1. Tough question! It's a tie between Muğla (Turkey), Bilbao, Madrid and Valencia. *refuses to pick just one ok*
2. I love desserts! Gah. (Almost!) Any type of desserts, so again, I refuse to pick just one.

I beg to differ

1. His ability to things off. He only cares the important stuff that he should care, anyway. I can't do that lol.
2. It'd be realistic fiction.
3. A tough question. I think... Pottermore sorted me into Slytherin thrice, and I think I'd not be a good Hufflepuff... so I'll say Slytherin, but I think the Hat would let me choose between Hufflepuff and Slytherin.

1. In my sleep. I think they are reflections of people I see in real life. In my opinion, all of my characters have one 'excessive' side (Forrest is too insecure, Cosgrach is too dramatic and self-centred, João is too arrogant), so those are my inspiration, then I think of other traits and they choose the face themselves.

1. I have, I have. I want to visit (I don't know states lol so I'm gonna list the cities) New York, Washington DC, Boston, Miami, Chicago and Los Angeles. I have also been to Seattle for 24 hours in total.

I'll say... Chelsea, though, because Real Madrid has 10 Champions League, 32 La Liga and many more other trophies, whereas Chelsea's still young.

Also Mourinho is managing Chelsea now.

Hey there! I've never 'backpacked' around anywhere, but I guess my advice would be: study the places well and ask locals' opinions about where to go to. They can suggest some unknown gems that don't show up on popular touristic websites.

When I was in fourth grade (I think), ALL of the boys in my class were reading them, and I'd already seen the first two movies, so I wondered WHAT was so great about the books and borrowed Prisoner of Azkaban... and here I am!

1. Felix Felicis. Imagine all the luck
2. I like how easy it is for both the characters and us, the OOC people, to interact. These characters (and therefore us) are usually less wary of 'others' opinions'. It also adds to our imagination.

Readers, unite!! I love reading world history and stories like Lord of the Rings, Game of Thrones etc. that are fantastical&set in the past the most. So my recommendation is Game of Thrones? If you think that's too long, then I'd recommend Catcher in the Rye, or Invisible by Paul Auster.

I uuuused to play the violin, but then I got bored, so. I love Mozart&Tchaikovsky the most.

I have!!! I've watched Galatasaray-Panatinaikos Europa League match like 5 years ago.

Because men think much less complexly. They give me a break from my own messy overanalysis and female characters require more energy. (But my next two characters are going to be females! )

The website is magical, I swear The RPG is my favourite place, and I love developing a character there. Also, the people here are very nice, so they make everything here a lot of fun too.

1. Classical&world music (I don't think that's a genre but y'know the regional music?)
2. Spending some time in Portugal/Brazil is in my plans, soooo I'll learn your language then!
3. I thiiiiiiink... the easiest and fastest way is living here. Turkish is very distinct to European languages, so learning the grammar will only confuse you. So talking and reading would do too. Our language is very consistant and there are (almost) no irregularities at all! There are foreigners in my class and they say they all learnt it as fast as 6 months, but they took the classes in Turkish and now they can understand everything :33
4. Neurology or psychiatry. One day we can be colleagues!
