Default Meet SilverTiger

"My name is Kristin, and I'm an RP addict..."

That's not entirely true, but most people who know me wouldn't say it's entirely wrong. Most of my time lately has been spent RPing, creating new RP characters, and things along that angle. Even the main part of my Polyvore profile is sets dedicated to my RP characters. I currently have three here on SS, in the main SSRPs: Stella, my Hogwarts charrie (sixth year Claw), and then Dorian, CMEC Chief Inspector and Aliceara, shopkeeper of Madame Malkin's. And, over the course of my four years on Snitchseeker, I've actually had six different characters in just the Hogwarts RP itself. Mainly because unlike some people, I have yet to start any of them from first year for purposes known only to myself.

Beyond just my RPing, I've done several other things here on Snitchseeker. School staff (in the Hogwarts RP: two terms as Divination professor before my current charrie came in), a supervisor in the Diagon Alley RPG, and then my moderator duties. I'm moderator of the Burrow, Snitchseeker's Arthur and Molly Weasley fanclub, a co-moderator of the Hermione FC, and one of the moderators of Weasley's Wizard Wheezes, our games forum. I also was a moderator her in Platform 9 3/4 for a while before moving to WWW. It all keeps me pretty busy, along with real life.

Outside of SS (and the many other RPs I've taken part in/am still part of), my life is pretty ordinary. I recently celebrated my birthday, while honestly struggling with money problems, living at home with my mother and my cat, Hermione. I work part-time at the Kohl's nearby, either in the misses/juniors/mens departments or helping out on the registers, but hours have been scarce. And I also do proofreading work for my neighbor, but that doesn't pay the bills either. None of it really involves my college degree, either, since I graduated (pre-SS) with a bachelor's degree in art, emphasis in art history. That's lying in wait for if I ever get the chance to go into my dream career, in costume design.

I've always been artistic, having dabbled in drawing, painting, ceramics, jewery making, cross-stitch, crochet, and knitting. I also recently re-acquired Photoshop, so I've been having fun exercising my artistic eye there as well. I also have been involved with musicals, taking a class in high school called Musical Show Production where we literally did just that: wrote, acted in and produced our own musicals as well as took part in the yearly school musical, and I took a theater costume and design class when in community college that enabled me to work costume crew when we put on our own staging of "The Rocky Horror Show" (Yes, I know the songs from that quite well. As well as several other musicals, just being a fan. And I also have a quite bizarre knowledge of most things Joss Whedon.) Reading has always been another of my hobbies, explaining why I physically own probably over 500 books currently. I prefer owning rather than borrowing, which also explains a bit of my spending issues. That and shoes.

Anyway, time for you to ask me questions. I look forward to meeting you all.

*pets* I think it gets easier. I only had two when I started out on SS, and it snowballed from there. Considering I have way more characters in my head than just the ones I've had here. The hardest part is keeping all their personalities straight.

And there are a few different ways to create a character. I've started off with a name and then gone from there, or I see an actor or actress and just think "I want to create a character with that person as their model." Rhiannon, my first character I had in the SSRP, actually didn't start off with a model. She got that either some point in the middle of my first term in the RP, or before the second. I don't remember which. But, short answer, I think of my ideas for charries just by beign inspired by something. It can be anything, honestly.

Tough question. I'm not exactly sure if I have another favorite book series, although I like the Mortal Instruments. And Hunger Games (to answer your second question as part of the first ) I read a lot, from quite a few different genres.

Hmm, I guess it depends on what you consider HP memorabilia. Because, mostly I just have the books. (And a couple boxes of Bertie Bott's, my own wand from Alivan's, HP Scene It! and HP 20 questions, which awesomely looks like a snitch)

But the last thing I probably got was the HP Film Wizardry book. And then DVD copies of DH 1 and 2. Not really memorabilia, though. Not by my definition.

Oddly enough, probably finding out more people at my work were into HP than I'd thought. When Pottermore was first announced, and DH 2 came out in theiters. One of my coworkers wore a Gryffindor scarf to work the day the movie was coming out, and I ended up staying behind for like half an hour at work discussing McGonagall with another coworker.

Other than that, I could say dressing up as a Ravenclaw Quidditch captain for Halloween last year. But that doesn't count because most people I was with didn't know that was what I was. Even though I had the Ravenclaw Quidditch Captain t-shirt on, my wand, my copy of Quidditch Through the Ages, and other random HP-type things with me. Apparently they don't understand prop-driven costumes.

Now that's a good question. I'm not honestly sure if I can put my finger on any one part of roleplaying that I'd consider my favorite, because I've just gotten so immersed into it all.

I do love the creativity, being able to come up with a character and manage to accurately... depict what they're like, what they're thinking, how they would act in any possible situation. I also just love the community, especially here on SS, the people and their characters, because they all help my own characters develop and really become almost real.

Hello Of course you can ask me a question.

Unfortunately, I'm only a person. Although I'm flattered that you'd wonder something like that. I'm just a person who has spent a lot of time reading and in school, and currently has a lot of time to just read a lot more and explore the things I like. I would love to travel, though. I just don't have the money to be able to.

In fact, I haven't read that book. I've heard a lot about it, though. I may put it on my list of books I need to read sometime in the future, although I have several already on my bookshelves that need to be read before I get any new ones.
