Hello! Hola! Bienvenido! Shalom!

I'll start off this thread by saying my name is Jessica, but most people around these parts call me Jess although I've adopted some other nicknames over the years. I've been floating around the website for nine years now and have dabbled my hand at some of everything - just about. After all these years I'm just as addicted to this site and have met some extremely wonderful people around here, who are just as madly addicted to this fandom as me!

Over the years I've held various positions, ranging from Hufflepuff Prefect and Quidditch Captain, to Professor and Head of House, to Ministry Department Head, to DA Shopkeeper and Assistant, to Language Mod. I've dabbled my hand in writing fan fiction (generally about my RP Characters) and partaking in the SS100 Drabble challenge, successfully completing it once. Today though you can generally find me lurking around Florean Fortescues, as I currently mod that area, or playing in the School RP with my sixth year Ravenclaw girl soon to be a seventh year!


Enough babbling from me though, or there won't be anything to ask! Feel free to ask me anything, whether about the person behind the computer screen or about the site in general!

Hehe, I reckon that's a good thing!!! Welcomeeeeeeee !!!

1. I'm from New Jersey, but I've lived in Ohio, went to college in Connecticut, and currently residing in North Carolina since February of this year
2. Reading, listening to music, cooking, spiritual stuff, exercising... not really much else cause retail life sucks!
3. Lonnnggg long ago, back when I first joined online fandom, I had created a myspace and needed a username for that and recalled a nickname from my Freshman year of college, "Phoenix" which an older student gave due to my red hair. So my nickname for myspace became "Rise_of_the_phoenix" cause I was a college student and rising in figuring out who I was, etc. So when I came to changing my username for SnitchSeeker (my original name was Hermi886), I recalled upon that myspace name, which was kind of long so I condensed it to PhoenixRising. And the rest is history.

2. Not really. I rarely pre-plan that far in advanced except for Ethan Denton who doesn't start for like another 7 terms *coughs*

I know, right? I feel like it's kind of surprising way to come up with a UN. I mean Phoenixes are cool too, but that wasn't the reason behind the name It was more personal than that, lol

UGH. *thinks* I'm pretty sure that was before I wanted to be a teacher (all through elementary school and maybe even into early h.s. i wanted to be a teacher and then I changed my mind ).... When I was five though, I think I probably was like many little girls in dreaming of a white wedding and marriage and kids. MAN THAT changed fast once I grew up

ASHLEY! *squishes back*

- Australia Or New Zealand. Or probably both cause they're relatively close to visit at the same time and I just am kind of curious about "the other side of the world". It's also a plus that English is the main language there
- Torn between my first character Amelia's shipwreck experience in her seventh year when her love was dating another who also loved someone else. It was just kind of a fun, unplanned love triangle (square? lol). But then there was also the RP experiences between Dominic and Willow - I still kind of ship those two so hard, cause they just had this love/hate thing going on and just made my heart melt
- I get teary eyed from some characters, if that's what you mean? Not always my own, either
- Me personally? Probably Transportation or Specialties; In specialties, I could see myself being a Healer specifically. With transportation, either a floo network specialist person or apparition tester... *nods*

1. ONE DAY!!! Maybe when i finally figure out a more solid career path You should come HERE though and we can go to WWoHP together cause I've never been ;D
2. I just finished "Girl with a Pearl Earring" (amazing read and highly recommend if you haven't read it yet) and I'm currently working my way through "To Kill a Mockingbird"
3. Moved to a new state. Got a first boyfriend. Broke up with said boyfriend after two months. It's been a good year and lots of learning
4. I've done both Actually, I saw the movie "To Kill a Mockingbird" a few weeks back cause that came into the library first before the book; I am finding the movie was amazingly accurate though. I mean there's a few things different but for the most part this particularly movie held true to the book

1) Uh ..... "Living on a Prayer" - Bon Jovi Cause it's a catchy tune and a nice reminder.

5) I'd love to have dinner with you and I'm going to go with a meal that I LOVED growing up, cause it's SUPER easy to make and tasty/cheap too! Called "Noodles and Pot Cheese" and it's basically just the wide noodles pasta, mixed with cottage cheese, seasoned with black pepper to taste =)

You should TOTALLY read To Kill a Mockingbird. Or maybe just watch the movie, since you have trouble with classics, and the movie does stick close to the book... But yea, it's enjoyable,
AND next year, as in 2017 would be better for WWoHP

2. I JUST registered for one, because it made sense since I JUST bought myself a Kindle like two weeks ago cause it was on sale SUPER cheap. And there was an app for it pre-loaded. So yea, I'm officially on Goodreads now
