Hello everyone!! I can't wait to answer questions that you have for me! I've been here a few times but always enjoy answering your awesome questions!
I have been on SS since December 2007 and though it seems like a long time, it feels so short at times. I have had many students over the terms, been a shopkeeper in a few different shops, yearbook writer, DP journalist and photo journalist and even a Ministry department head. For a time I was even the head of our language area we had for many years. I now am in the Newbie forum, The Quibbler, and Gladrags with my heart in the arts and crafts in the Couture Closet.
Outside of SS I am a senior student at WSU in Minnesota. I am going for elementary education, and start student teaching in January! I have a zoo of sorts at home with both farm and domestic animals. As I said I love crafts, but also enjoy photography and traveling! I have a ton of hobbies, but that's for you all to find out and ask!
Can't wait to hear from you! Quote:

Hello!
Two questions:
1. What animals do you have at home?
2. At the moment, which of your hobbies do you devote the most time to, roughly?

Oooh, a soon to be fellow teacher! Awesome!
What's your favorite age/subject to teach (or what you're leaning towards right now)?

3. What's your favourite shop you have been a shopkeeper for? that's exactly what I call it too, my home is a zoo both inside and out!
1. For the hens/roosters mostly the kids name them, so I'm pretty flexible there, and pick out a name here and there. My ducks though are all mine, and all mallards! A lot of the time I let the animals choose their own by trying out a name when they come and if they respond I keep it, if not we try again.
For my little kids (goats) I went by their colors. Latté is kind of that color, but Chai I picked it because of her gorgeous ears that made me think of the foam on chai tea!
A few of our pets though as you see are named after HP characters!
2. I am a Taurus!
3. This is hard really. I think I'm going to say the bowling alley. It was fun interacting and playing in there as well as bowling! Quote:

I'm leaning towards 3-4th grade. I really like math and science but am flexible with all the subjects so I think overall I won't struggle too much with subjectwise I'm more concerned with keeping students on the tasks I have.

Hello, may I ask what is the consensus with reference to the wizarding world in your muggle town?
I am a retired K-6 teacher. I thought in New England and in North Carolina. I found the south does not appear to appreciate the wizarding world. I tried to incorporate some concepts of the wizarding world into lesson plans, however most parents were not on board. Funny enough most of these children had watched Game of thrones. Hmm?

I am honestly amazed when I see and hear of people who are into Harry Potter around me. Sometimes it feels like I am the only one in the town I live in. Yet when I mention the books to students, all I hear is excitement! It would be fun adding HP to lesson plans, especially if the students still have a love for the series!
I think Game of Thrones might be a little bit older for that age group, so I'm not sure there. But my area does enjoy the series just not the younger group, more into the older teens and adults.
