I'm LezleighD and this month I am excited to be one of your mods here at Platform 9 and 3/4! In real life, my name is Leslie and it's great to meet you! I can't wait to get to know each one of you!

I guess now I have to talk about myself for a little bit...let's start with my SS history....

I joined SS in March 2009 and have had a blast being a part of the SS family since then! I have had the opportunity to meet some amazing new friends from across the globe! I currently have the honor to play two amazing characters in the RP. I play Iridesca MacMillan, the Department Head for the Magical Accidents & Catastrophes Department in the Ministry and Professor Gemma Cerulean, the History of Magic Professor at Hogwarts. I also love love love making graphics and I have a graphics shop called Eclectic Beginnings and I help make graphics for the Hogwarts Yearbook.

Now on to my real life....

So let's see....In real life, I'm a technology and graphics design teacher at the high school level. I've been teaching for five years and I love it to death. I also pretty much have no life outside of SS either, because I serve as the Colorguard and Cheerleading Sponsor and the Prom Designer/Sponsor. I love my job and my students!

I graduated with my undergraduate from West Texas A&M University in Business Composite Education in 2005 and then with my Masters in Instructional Design and Technology in 2007. I'm always trying to learn something new on the computer or teach myself something new on here.

I'm also lucky to have an amazing family. I am happily married since Aug 2008 and we are so excited to be welcoming our first addition to our family, Wyatt Lance, in October of this year! (I'm working on his Harry Potter nursery right now...will post pics when it's done.) We also have two dogs, Toby and MayBee, and three cats, Blackie, LJ, and Fattie.

Well to become a moderator, you don't really ask or sign up or anything. You just need to strive to become active in the School RP and the Ministry RP and volunteer to help with the Fan Clubs. If the current mods see that you are putting forth a great job and working hard to make the site better and they have an opening then they might ask you to help out as a mod. Good luck!

O thanks...I'm actually a huge nerd!!!

My favorite book was OTP because we got to know the Order so much better. My fave charrie is Nymphadora and I think we got to know her a lot more in that book. I also liked HBP for the same reason. I have to admit that so far my fave movie was HBP. It has been the movie that I felt most connected to so far.

O man! I can still remember reading the last book. haha...well it has been a challenge especially now that the crib is in and it is gigormous and takes up a big chunk of the room so my plans have had to change a lil bit... but...nope my hubby is not a huge HP fan...he supports my habit/addiction but isn't crazy about naming the baby anything Harry related...I've always loved Nymphadora or Tonks but he x-ed any HP names quickly...big party pooper...haha...

HEY!!!!

Yes I am a huge pet lover too...I grew up with two acres of land so my parents always had all kinds of pets when we were growing up from sheep to goats to horses to LLAMAS!!! (which my mom still raises today)...

But sadly my hubby...(what a fun killer...haha...jk) will only let me have dogs and cats...I've begged for a Chinchilla but nope hasn't worked yet...

Well, I have:

1. Toby: 5 year old pure breed ****-zhu..white with black dots...he's actually like a freak of nature. Everyone in his family are these little bitty like 5lb purse ****-zhu's but not Toby, he's almost 15lbs...he's huge! He's like my suitcase puppy...haha...
2. MayBee: She's a Pomeranian/Terrier Mix or atleast that's what we think...light tan dog with LONG legs.... I adopted her from the Humane Society after volunteering there for a Master's Class I was taking. I was able to say no to every animal until my last day on the job and she just stole my heart.
3. LJ (Long John)-She's a tan and white cat....she's our mean special cat. She is kind of cross-eyed...no really cross-eyed and she doesn't purr right...I don't think she's really right at all...and she thinks she's a dog...she wags her tail when she's happy...and she hates me and loves my hubby...unless I'm eating McDonald's fries and then she loves me.
4. CJ (Captain Jack)/Fattie-This is my GIGORMOUS all tan stripped cat. He looks like Garfield literally....but he's a sweetheart and has lost a lil bit of weight lately...
5. CC (Crazy Cat)/Blackie-He's all black except for a lil bitty patch of white under his chin...he's a mamma's boy and feisty and doesn't like my hubby at all. We rescued him last March at the movies. When we came out I could hear this cat screaming in pain...well he was a kitten maybe 5 weeks old and had got caught in a mouse trap/house thingy, so we popped the top of it to save him and he ran into traffic...and be being the dumby that I am ran after him and brought him home...craziness...

I know that's prolly more info that you wanted...but....

haha...wow I just left you a Welcome Visitor Message like 5 seconds ago....

O my goodness...I absolutely loved the Butterbeer at the Wizarding World. I really wish they would bottle it and let you buy it online. It was just amazing...I'm pretty sure...no exaggerating that I drank like 8 cups a day and we were there for almost a whole week!

I'm not really sure...I think cream soda and butterscotch syrup or something like that... but I have this cool website bookmarked that has the top 5 recipes out there...

O trust me it is well worth it! We are going back next July so we can attend Ascendio 2012 as well. It is just a blast to be there and see everything...it just makes things more real. I'm hoping they'll add onto it now that the series is over.

Well, since I'm 28 years old, I'd be a little mad that the Owl got lost all of the those years so I'd instantly figure out how to file a complaint against the poor dear. And then I would contact the school and see if I could come teach Muggle Studies and while teaching learn all the magic I could to get caught up. It would be just brilliant to get one. I have made one and already hung it in the Nursery for my baby!

I saw the triwizard challenge, it's alot of "awwwwwww" and "dang" for me, since I didn't manage to go T.T and you mis-spelling triwizard for the album, twiwizard *giggles*

really jealous you went to super many gorgeous places!

I just have 2 random questions, really!
1. How did you get to reading the HP books? Friend's suggestion, you like reading books of this genre, or a total accident? (it was option C. in my case!)
2. Have you ever been to England after having read the books? Just wondering if you've been to King's Cross Station and checked out the people walking on platforms 9 and 10! I know if I ever happen to go there, I am definitely going to try it out!

O thank you for the kind words. We got the 4D pictures yesterday and, eventhough I know I'm biased, he sure is handsome!

Here are your answers cutes:

1. Well I have to admit that I'm a late bloomer. I had a friend in college that just knew that I was going to love Harry Potter but I was stubborn and would never watch the movies. One night I was sick and my now husband and my friend plotted against me and had rented the first three movies and we had a movie marathon...well it was more my best friend and me, but it was the thought that counted from my now hubby. After watching those three movies, I was hooked and I literally the next day, still sick, went and bought the first three books and had them read in three days and the rest is history.

2. No sadly I haven't been to England, YET! I would love love love to go on one of the Harry Potter tours someday. We had looked into going this summer...well my mom and I had looked, but then Wyatt came along and we knew that traveling six months preggo in England might not be the most perfect idea, so maybe someday in the future.

Haha...yes I have a minor spelling issue...that's why I teach computers because they all have spell checkers on them...

Yes, my family likes to travel a lot. We've always been a let's jump in the car and go find something to look at.

I will def post pictures when I get everyone done. Right now it looks like Harry Potter exploded in there...

A HARRY POTTER NURSERY?! That is something I have always dreamt of making for my future children too! I would really love to see a photo!

I think it's really awesome that you're passing the magic on to your child!
