Hello, everyone!

Welcome to the 'Meet' thread for November/December 2023! My name is Alicia but I'm mostly called Ali on SS. I joined this wonderful site back in October 2005. It's still wild to me that I've stuck around this long! It seems it was only yesterday that I came across the site one morning before I headed off to school! Presently, I'm a mod for three forums - Newbie, Potterdom and Weasleys Wizard Wheezes. In the past I've been on the School RPG staff as the Muggle Studies professor, Gobstones advisor and Ravenclaw Head of House; as of December 2022, I rejoined the Staff as DADA professor

In real life, I'm the Senior Credit Clerk {my department deals with loans} with a financial institution, a job which is sometimes crazy but I enjoy since there is always something new to learn about the banking/financial system of my country. I have many interests namely: reading, listening to music, watching shows/movies and chilling by myself.

Anyway, I'll stop babbling now for it's time you ask me a question or two! Or how much ever you want!

I badger you enough but I'm also going to take this opportunity to badger you more. (This must be why I'm a Hufflepuff!) I have a couple questions!

1) What is your favorite trait to RP out in a character? Is there a treat you like the LEAST?
2) What is your all time favorite book?
3) What's been your favorite position on site that you've held? What did you like about it?
4) What are you reading now?

Pffft. I have no recollection of you everrr bothering me! I love having a fellow badger as a friend!

1. My fave trait to RP is loyalty! Whether it be to a partner or to a friend, it just warms my heart! My least fave would be an extremely rude, ungrateful.
2. And suddenly, I forgot every book I read I have a few all time fave series which include Harry Potter, Animorphs, Percy Jackson and Heartstopper. But for my all time fave, Gone With the Wind comes to mind. As does Red, White & Royal Blue!
3. WWW mod! When I first joined SS, the games section was one that I gravitated towards and the place has remained one of my fave spots. It's the reason I haven't given up modding there.
4. I'm currently reading The Temperature of Me & You by Brian Zepka, which is an LGBTQIA+/supernatural book.

1. Oh yes! Loads!!!! Recently I've gotten into listening to Swedish singer Isak Danielson; I just adore his voice. Another Swedish artist that I adore is Omar Rudberg. In addition I love Lady Gaga, Enrique Iglesias and Ruelle, to name a few.
2. I tend to go with first names initially, since surnames, family members and history are established for the most part. Middle names and personality are done after, when I RP them and they speak to me.
3. BUTTERSCOTCH sweets!! I cannot get enough of those lol.

Have you ever injected some HP esque lore into your IRL job. I'm not calling you a goblin or anything but what's the most goblin like thing you've done at work?

I like this question xD The most Goblin-like thing that I've done is taking an extra five minutes on my coffee and lunch breaks I usually do this when I'm enjoying the book I'm reading and am reluctant to go back to my desk.

1. Italy!!! Because some of my fave books like Call Me By Your Name and movies like Love In The Villa are set there! It's such a beautiful place :3

2. *refers to my charrie spreadsheet* I've created 46 characters {this number comes to about 55 if you count characters given to me}; out of the 46, I have not used 11 because 5 have not IC been born as yet/are not ready to be adopted by my adult charries, 1 will make their debut pretty soon and 5 I have offered to other SSers for future use! *super excited*

3. Pasta with little pieces of chicken in between!!! I love that so much, especially when they come in different shapes! Such fun!

4. Unfortunately not. I am friends with two SSers who were active about a dozen years ago but the only reason I met them is because one of them and I went to school together and the other is her sister xD

why have I never been on the receiving end of one of your offerings?

So after having played students in all houses except gryffindor i think which house has been your favorite to play a character?

Muggle Studies or DADA or another subject?

1. Er... the charries got snagged very quickly xD But there will be more and I will keep you in mind

2. Definitely Hufflepuff!! You're right, I never got to Gryffindor. I was always reluctant to go there for some reason

2. DADA! I am way more comfortable playing Dhruv. With Kaysha, I think since it was my first time on Staff, I felt kinda self conscious having so much attention on me that I did not play her to the best of my abilities. With the experience I have now, and the fact that Dhruv has been so well received by other RPers, it's easier for me to fall in love with DADA more.

4. Chelliephone's Davet Durand!!! Or Davet Anders, now that he's married to my Jude Davet is like a freshly baked cinnamon roll; he's full of love and such positivity that he just warms my heart so much.
