2018: Meet emjay

Hello, hello! Happy February, everyone! I'm emjay and I'm happy to be the mod you get to meet this month!

I've been a member of SnitchSeeker for what feels like forever - it will actually be ten years (!) this June when I first stumbled across this site. And over the years I've held many positions, RPed many characters, and met many fellow HP fans. Currently, I moderate the Newbie Forum here and Knockturn Alley where many RPs take place, and I also play a first year Slytherin (my third house btw) who is the son of one of my previous characters.

In real life, I'm an art teacher to middle school and high school, I'm the mother of two teenage boys, and eh I'm older than 30. I'm also a Netflix addict, avid reader, and such a cat person.

1. Honestly, this changes all the time. I really, really enjoyed playing Henry while he was in school. And I still like playing him while I can, though it feels like opportunities are more limited now. But I'm also really enjoying playing Tashina right now. All my characters have a special place with me though

2. A second generation character is pretty exciting in itself, I suppose! It's been fun so far, even though I've been a little too busy lately to give him much justice. But I think it will be even more fun when his siblings and childhood friends join him.

3. Okay, it's hard for me to pick one definitive favorite anything! But one of my favorites is Panera, mostly because it's kind of our place to hang out XD I love my steakhouses too though.

Honestly, I didn't get into Harry Potter until all of the books had been published and even some of the movies had been released. By then it was everywhere and pretty much everyone knew about it, even if they hadn't read or watched the books. I'm not even sure what prompted me to read them, but I checked out all 7 books from the library one day and read the entire series in two weeks.

Hello!

It's really hard for me to pick a favorite for anything.. lol. Authors I like best include Kurt Vonnegut, Chuck Palahniuk, and Stephen King. But I just finished The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo, which was so good.

I like a lot of things about being a mom and those things have changed and developed over the years and as my kids have gotten older, but one thing that I really enjoy is seeing them grow into their own individual people, plus having inside jokes with them is the best.
