Hey guys! I’m one of the two awesome mods you get to meet in December!
So for those of you who do not know me yet, my name is Chris, which is pretty ordinary isn’t it? Shame it couldn’t be something crazy like…Spurlock. *shrugs* Anyways…what have I done around here? Well we shall start at the beginning. Yep! I joined SS in September of 2008, my sophomore year of High School after coming across it while looking for Harry Potter movie info and have been active since. This was my first RPG site and I was very excited to get into the thick of things and interact with all the other HP fans out there.
I was lucky enough to join the site during a School RPG sorting and was sorted into Gryffindor. I rped my first character two terms and then was asked to be prefect. After Prefecting for 3 consecutive terms I was asked to be Head Boy for the School. After that character I had another and am now on my third. I also help out with the coding of the School RPG yearbook and have played Quidditch around 4 terms. Shortly being sorted into the school RPGI eagerly joined the Ministry of Magic RPG and was hired into the Dept. of Magical Transportation, was then promoted to Division Head and finally to Department Head, a position I still hold today.
Outside of the RPGs I have been very active in the Weasley’s Wizard Wheezes Games and Fan Club forums. I frequented both forums a lot and played all of the games and became the President or an officer of many fan clubs. In July 2011 I was asked to be a mod for both of these sections and I still happily help watch over these two spots.
Outside of SS I am a first year University student studying Secondary Education English/Literature and am also a History nerd. I love watching some television shows and a huge fan of movies. I jam out a lot to my Ipod while running or working on homework. I wait tables while not at school to help get that money to see the movies I love so much! Now I haven’t told EVERYTHING about myself so…

I am big into jeans, long sleeve shirts, and hoodies/sweatshirts in the winter and cargo/khaki shorts and polos in the summer.

How long did it take you to get 10 posts? I am too busy listening to the books on CD, to post. Listened 25 times now to the CD's. Bought myself an early and expensive Christmas gift, of the British version of the books on CD.

Well you see I've always just enjoyed it, mainly because my grandpa and dad would always watch the history channel on television. Some ways I think would be able to help you possibly enjoy it a bit more would be to try and find movies that are BASED on historic events first. These movies like Titanic, the Patriot and Gladiator are not exactly word for word historic but they put you in the right mind set and allow you to relate things you learn in your history classes. Well I am finished with the second book, Catching Fire and as soon as I finish finals today, I will download the third book on my Kindle; probably tonight.
And after reading the second one I am SOOO SHOCKED! I don't even know what will happen in the third one.  But, I've gotten so many of my friends hooked on the series its awesome.

Awesome question because the Fan Clubs are absolutely EPIC and everyone should go there! *shamelessly promotes*
Well I really like the games but the events are my favorite. I love when fan clubs and interact and get memebers to join up all the clubs. Also the clubs help build little families of fans that I just really enjoy talking with. Quote:

They've gone pretty well so far. I technically have one more on Monday but it's a 'Critical Thinking' exam that I can't study for. Yeah my Professor is crazy. But as soon as I go home after that exam I am cracking open Mockingjay!
So far....*eyes VERY short list* um I really liked my Speech/Communications class. It helped me prepare to become a teacher later and speak infront of a class more comfortably. Quote:
