Welcome to the flat of Grace Bennett and Minerva Durand, located above Noltie's Botanical Novelties! As you enter through the front door, you are greeted with the sight of the open living room and dining room combination. You can do what you want with this space, whether that be adding a dining table to the left hand side giving a comfortable location to eat or have the room just be one large living space. If you walk all the way through the living room, there is a sliding glass door leading out to your personal balcony that looks out over the Alley. This is a great space to sit to drink your mid afternoon tea or early morning coffee - or the perfect spot for a little garden!
As you walk further down the hall, the entry to your left is where your kitchen can be located. Kitchen comes equipped with all the necessary appliances, dishwasher included for those who prefer to give their spell casting a break. Right across the hall from the kitchen is a cupboard that can be used for storage space.
Directly next to the storage cupboard is a door leading to the first bedroom. This room is slightly smaller than the master, but still a decent amount of space - closet equipped with a sliding door to contain your belongings. Or if you don't need room for an extra bed, this is perfect for an office space or studio for whatever your artistry is.
A little further down the main hall, and you'll encounter another door on the left side. This is where the main restroom is located. Main restroom includes a single sink, toilet, shower and bathtub. Cabinets and a medicine mirror give plenty of storage space for your toiletries as well.
The last room at the very end of the hall is where the largest bedroom resides, with a walk in closet and an en-suite half bath included. The walk in closet has plenty of built in shelves so that you can layer your shoes and personal effects, while the bathroom has a single sink and a toilet for use.
All rooms have plenty of windows for natural lighting, and in the kitchen there is a little booklet provided by Nesting Occamy with phone numbers for leasing agents and maintenance for any issues that may arise. Moving day! She was both really excited, and incredibly nervous to be striking out on her own. It was true her parents were pretty much entirely paying for her portion of the flat, but that was only until Mouse had a little bit of a savings from her current job (or any future she might procure) and could take over her payments entirely on her own. So this might not have been TRUE indepedence yet but... it was a step in the right direction. Besides, both parents had seemed happy to do it to get her out from under foot.
Which she might have had some less than happy feelings about, but those were okay to be analyzed later. For now, the recent graduate had a task to do. And a flatmate to officially meet!
Pushing open the front door of their new home, boxes laden in her arms, she took a look around the entry - admiring the spaciousness of the living room/dining area and immediately wanting to drop her boxes and go out to check out the balcony. She nearly talked herself out of doing so, until she realized that she shouldn't claim a room anyways until she saw her new flatmate, so boxes were put against the wall closest to the hall and she skipped her way (literally) towards the balcony to take a peak outside, leaving both doors open behind her.

Approaching the open door of the flat whose number matched the one she had been given by the apartment manager, Grace briefly wondered if something was wrong. After all, why was it left open? Had there been some sort of trouble? Relax…you can be too much like your father, she chided herself, especially as the presence of boxes that matched her own were found near the open door. Undoubtedly her new flat mate had already arrived, a glance at the source of the breeze coming from the balcony door confirming it.
After closing the apartment door to make sure her father didn’t notice it left wide open and go on high alert, she set the box in her grasp with the others and crossed to the street side. The former Gryffindor made sure to not approach too stealthily as she stepped up to the open sliding door. “Admiring the view?” she quietly questioned to avoid startling the other young woman. They didn’t need to start of this little adventure on the wrong foot, especially with one of them getting hurt in the process.

This space was positively delightful, and Mouse was already certain this was going to be her favorite part of their new home. She wondered too if her flatmate would mind if she put a few plants and such out here - nothing as disruptive as a trilling tulip or mandrakes, of course, but maybe some herbs. Oregeno and basil would be nice to have, and maybe some dittany as well. One could never have enough of that on hand, right? She could also get a small table and a couple of basic chairs for a little coffee spot if the other girl was willing. She was making plans in her head in which to talk to her flatmate about, which nearly caused her to miss the arrival of said girl.
It was only when a voice sounded behind her that Mouse turned, a ready smile on her face. "I was! This area is lovely, don't you think? It's nice that we'll have a little bit of an outdoor space. Gives some freedom to feel the fresh air but also not have to go all the way down into the Alley." Not that that was far obviously, but it was nice to not have to go out into the crowd if it wasn't necessary. Turning her body the way her head had already done, Mouse stepped towards the other girl and offered an outstretched hand. "I'm Mouse. Are you Grace?"

Her presence in the apartment and near her companion positively acknowledged; Grace actually stepped out herself for her own viewing of what made up their little balcony. “Yeah it is.” Space to breathe and be outdoors without committing to it like going for a walk or something. A place for a warm beverage of choice at the start of the day or a glass of wine at the end of one. It definitely had some possibilities. “Uh huh…that’s me, she confirmed as she accepted the offered hand and shook it. “Nice to meet you.”
“Everything seems alright,” a new voice came from the interior doorway as Simon pushed it open, the boxes he had brought levitated to make it easier before closing it behind him again. The older man having taken the extra time to look around the perimeter of the immediate vicinity for warning signs of things to look out for. Just because he was giving his daughter space, didn’t mean he wasn’t looking out for her as she moved out at all. The law enforcement vein went deep.
“And that would be my dad,” she remarked with a soft chuckle upon hearing her father admit his all clear. “Don’t mind him…working for MLE he can be a touch protective.” Never mind she had been a second year when the Neo-Alliance had come to power and actively put in danger. Valid reason to be protective after that he said. Grace moving to lead them back inside.

Don't get her wrong, Mouse liked to be outdoors and exploring as much as the next girl, but being comfortable at home was far more important to her. Until her experience at Hogwarts, particularly her sixth year, she'd never really felt comfortable anywhere. Nothing felt like home. But this? She wanted it to, for herself and her new flatmate both. Giving the hand a quick shake she beamed at the girl. "It's nice to meet you too!"
A new male voice entering nearly frightened her just because she hadn't been expecting anyone. Silly, really, considering moving days WERE something people often got familial help on. She observed Grace's father for a moment, head tilting as she considered why he'd looked sofamiliar. It was only when Grace mentioned MLE it connected. "Oh! You were at the job fair! Hello again, sir." She greeted, smiling and righting her head once mystery was solved.
"I think it's nice we got a professional to clear the surroundings!" she grinned back again at her flat mate, before following Grace inside. "Do you have a preference on which bedroom?"

His daughter’s new flat mate had drawn his attention, but Simon would admit that it wasn’t until she had put two and two together that it made sense with the surname that had been given on the agreement. “Ah yes…you were asking about travel,” he remarked with a smile, offering his own hand for a friendly shake. “Hello.” She hadn’t given off warning signs then or now so the auror-turned-security man could inwardly relax.” It also confirmed that the young woman was younger than Grace as a recent graduate.
Grace chuckled softly as the other two figured out they had already met. “Small world it seems.” She had briefly heard the stories surrounding the job fair, more than a little glad that even with the drama at the end, the event had turned out better than her father had feared it would be. “It does have its advantages.” Even when he was being just a tough overbearing. Today it was all out of love. As for dividing up the apartment she shrugged. “I don’t really have a preference…do you? Or should we flip for it or something?”
