Hello everyone~!
I'm Lindsey and i decided to make drabbles for my newest school character, Yoongi Hyland. Hope you all enjoy reading them

“Mom! look how cute!” Victoria ran to her mother the moment she entered the house after some shopping in diagon alley. The nanny sat in an armchair, looking up from her book. “Look how cute Yoongi is!” she and her two sisters, Ebony and Elona ran back to him. The boy sat on the floor, giggling as their mother waved her wand to grab her camera. “Say Cheeeese~!”
The next day, the moving photograph stood on the cabinet. The three sisters around Yoongi, all making funny faces and Yoongi was in the middle, with his black hair covered in coloured ribbons.

“….I have to say that your Korean is excellent, Mr and Mrs Hyland” The couple smiled at the adoption centrum owner and obviously didn’t tell her that she was under a translating spell “We do our humble best” Mr Hyland said. “So polite, I believe Yoongi will find a good home with you”.
“….i do have to add that the boy in question is a bit…different. A good kid but strange things happen sometimes” Mrs. Seok was surprised at the calm and confident smiles the Hyland family wore. “Who isn’t a little quirky these days, right?” Mr. Hyland spoke again.

“Who are my parents?” She knew that this topic would come one day so his mother placed down her book and turned to her son. “I think I can better show you…” Yoongi nodded, not knowing what she meant. He watched her wave her wand and a locket waved towards her. She handed it to him and he opened it up. An Asian couple with a baby. “You were named Yeo Yoon Gi when you were born. I’m sorry but I don’t know your parents’ names” Yoongi hugged his mother suddenly, trying to keep the tears from falling. “Thank you”

“Why are you so pretty?” Victoria sat with her chin in her hands at the table, staring at Yoongi as he was busy doing a puzzle in the paper. “Jealous?” he asked. “..yes..NO! it is weird that you’re not like the other guys I know, you’re…different” it didn’t bother him to be honest so he just shrugged. “Maybe I’m part Veela” he said which caused his sister to snort loudly. “What? I don’t know my real family. I could be” Victoria shook her head. “We’re your family remember? Besides, they were muggles” Yoongi shrugged again. “Then I’m just naturally pretty”

A scream woke him up. He jumped out of his bed, grabbed his wand from his nightstand and ran to Ebony’s room. “Whats wrong?!” he called and pushed the door open. A giant rat stood in the room and his sister was crying in the corner. He ran to her and by doing so the rat changed. The thing made an illusion that he was up high, very high and he knew that it was a boggart. He looked down and was nearly crying when “Riddikulus!” The illusion was gone. “mom! I’m sorry I couldn’t…” and he began to cry.

The day-care lady kept pressing her pager, eyes never leaving the situation that was happening in front of her. Her boss paced as fast as her legs could and opened up the door. “Miss. Kim, how many times do…..” the woman followed the finger of her employee and the terrified look matched hers as she saw what was happening.
The children sat close on the ground, looking up curiously. In the middle sat Yoongi, the newest adoption child. Above him were stuffed animals floating in the air! “Mrs Seok!” the employee was just in time to catch her fainting boss.

Yoongi was in the library studying for his OWL studies and reviewing his homework. His hair was a mess and he had dark circles under his eyes from lack of sleep and stress. “You alright, mate?” Zander asked in concern. Yoongi crumbled a parchment and threw it behind him. “What? Of course im alright!” he snapped. "You think I can’t handle this?! Cause I CAN!” He knocked over the ink bottle . “MY NOTES!” he shrieked. “I--- took OWLs last year, I could give you my notes if you want?” the Prefect said and Yoongi wanted to cry in happiness.

His face turned bright red as he stood up and tried to ignore his fellow classmates. “Well then, Mr.Hyland, since you and Mr.Armenta obviously know this charm I want you to demonstrate it right here, right now” Yoongi looked around the room in panic until he caught sight of a girl mouthing the incantation. “Spongify!” he shouted and pointed his wand at the book on the teacher’s desk and watched as the man tested it with a finger. “...................Excellent work, Mr.Hyland” Yoongi grinned.

Yoongi ran as fast as he could to the first floor. He was sweating, breathing hard and webs covered his body. A look of panic in his eyes. He ran straight to the Professor’s office door and banged on it. “ACROMANTULAS! IN THE ENTRANCE HALL, PLEASE HELP!” A voice came from behind him and he twirled around, wand pointed at the source. “Mr.Hyland…” It was Professor Dakest and Sophie Brown as well, both eating marshmallows. “….Ever heard of a Patronus?”
ASSLKGAHGLJFLF WAS HE SERIOUS!? “I can’t make a Patronus yet , SIR” he huffed defensively. And this wasn’t the time!

5. Astronomy Credit: Airey Flamsteed - sweetpinkpixie
Yoongi was almost crying as he clutched his desk in the air. The Gryffindor wanted to get down. “Now, rocks have many very important links to the field of astronomy and the history of our planet. Who would care to venture a guess as to one of these links?"
In his fear, Yoongi did manage to answer. “Rocks can float in space so we’re all rocks” he said sarcastically.
He was not prepared by the Professor’s enthusiasm. “ABSOLUTELY STELLAR! YOU SHOW A CLEAR UNDERSTANDING FOR WHAT IS ARGUABLY THE MOST FASCINATING THING ABOUT THE UNIVERSE! 3 points for Gryffindor!”

While reading his shopping list, Yoongi entered Scribbulus shop for his school supplies. His parents had given him some money so that he could buy a few rolls of parchment but as he walked through the shop, his eyes caught the attention of a quill.
He bit his lower lip as he thought. He wanted to have this quill, it was so pretty! Counting the money, he realized that he only had enough for one quill or parchments, not both. Making a decision, the soon to be Gryffindor bought the flamingo quill. He would say he had forgotten the parchments.

Eleven year old Yoongi ran down the street, shouting at his family for them to hurry up because HE WAS GETTING HIS OWN WAND TODAY! Before the rest of the group had even entered the same street as the shop, Yoongi had already entered and was busy getting his measurements. Trying a few wands it was finally decided that he would get a Cypress wood, dragon heartstring. He thanked the shopkeeper and grinned at his wand as he left. Not knowing that a few years later he would be back to buy a new one, a red pine phoenix feather.

“THIS IS ALL YOUR FAULT!” Yoongi rarely got angry but when he did, he was really angry. His sister wasn’t backing away though but glared at him. “HOW IS IT MY FAULT? YOU LEFT YOUR WAND ON THE FLOOR! WHO DOES THAT!?”
In his hand were the remains of the broken cypress, dragon heartstring wand. He felt as if a part of him had died. Elona had accidentally stepped on it while he had been reading an comic book on the floor. “What should I dooo?!” he cried. This had been his partner since he had been eleven years old.

“Why are you here?” Yoongi frowned. “I-I wanted to meet you…” the woman scoffed. “Well you saw me, now leave”. He couldn’t believe it. His own mother did not want to meet him. “He’s your son, Mrs Yeo” “Miss Yeo! And I left my son years ago” Yoongi stood up and walked to the door, his father behind him. He closed the door behind him and glared. “Want to go home?” his father who adopted him asked softly. He nodded with tears in his eyes as they walked away, unaware that his biological mother was crying inside of the house.

The Sorting Hat fell over his eyes as he had sat down and a voice began to speak in his ears. “Ah yes, loyalty, confidence, a thirst to prove yourself, stubborn. A minute past, another...and another. “No, I see more than you are aware of right now…” ‘Great, can you hurry up please cause no offense but you smell...’ How many sweaty heads had this hat been on?! Third year in charms school and Yoongi was still nervous when he had to meet the Charms professor in his office. It was at the end of the year and he waited as the professor grabbed something. “Mr.Hyland” Yoongi didn’t dare to speak. Was he in trouble? “As you know I like to give an reward to the student with the highest mark at the end of each year” He nodded slowly .“Congratulations on becoming the top Charms student of 2085” Yoongi’s jaw dropped as he was handed the small trophy. “From the Third class of course” the professor chuckled.

“Untie me right now!” Yoongi glared at his eldest sister while trying to take off the ropes around his ankles. “Nope~” he huffed loudly and tried to untie himself with his hands. Stupid sister became off age only yesterday and she had been showing off her magic on him. Her favourite thing to do was exactly this whenever he walked past her. The ropes vanished suddenly and Yoongi stood up to walk away. He fell back down on the ground when his ankles were tied together a second time. “I SWEAR! I’ll have my revenge one day!” She just laughed.

“What are those?” Yoongi stood close behind his father, gripping his pants as he stared at the creatures around them. “Those are Goblins” his father said as he walked further in to the gringotts. “Key please?” The goblin asked without looking up. Yoongi swallowed nervously and watched as Elona gave her key to the creature. “Am I getting my own key one day?” the six year old boy asked. His father laughed. “No, you’ll get the family key like Elona has now” He nodded his head slowly. “Are you wizards done talking? I don’t have all day you know.”

“Repeat that again. You’ve actually signed up for the duelling club?!” Yoongi clenched his jaw as his best friend laughed. “Yes I did. What’s so funny?” he asked , looking at the mirror in his cabinet they used to communicate from time to time.
“Well, just picturing you in a duel is funny enough” Yoongi rolled his eyes. “Must I remind you that I’m a charms prodigy?” he heard a chuckle. “self-proclaimed yeah, but …seriously Yoongi, you’re going to sweat…a lot…you sure you can handle that?”
“Yes. I. can” the sixth year said firmly and walked away from the mirror.

Yoongi waited for his homework partner to show up at the training hall and looked up when the Slytherin girl entered the room a few minutes later. They talked a bit before Hady grabbed one of the balls they had practised with in Charms. “Heads up” she said as she tossed the ball at him. “What?” the ball hit him against his face and the Gryffindor rubbed his cheek. Lucky it was soft. “I um ..i thought you would catch that.. …are you alright?” He knew it had been an accident. “Yeah, I’m so not Quidditch material though” he laughed.

Yoongi felt a hand on his back before he was shoved in the direction of a group of girls. He knew he shouldn’t have picked dare. Of course his friends made him do something terribly horrifying. He looked back at them to glare at their grinning faces.
Taking a deep breath, the fourteen year old charms student walked towards the group of girls. “Uh…hi..can I ask..” he blushed as they giggled. Why they always giggled?! “Thewaytothebathroom?!” he was going to live alone forever.

“Yoongi, open the window your Hogwarts letter is here” Yoongi stood up from his seat and walked to the window to let the owl in. He yawned , grabbed the letter and walked back to his seat to continue eating. His mother rolled her eyes and grabbed his letter, opened it and shrieked loudly. “OH YOONGI~!” Yoongi looked wary as his mother came closer and she kissed him several times on his cheek. “Mooom!” he whined, trying to get away. His mother beamed at him and held the Head Boy badge in front of his face for him to see.

“You can see Thestrals?” Twelve year Yoongi stared at his best friend with huge eyes and his mouth hang open. “But, that’s like a really bad omen! It’s an omen of death!” he took no notice of the rolling eyes but he did feel the punch his arm got. “Ow, what was that for?!” “A Thestral is not an omen of death you idiot, you see Thestrals when you’ve seen death” Yoongi looked sad as he stared at the grass they were sitting on. “So you’ve seen…?” he asked hesitatively and his heart sank when his friend nodded his head.
