Bad Love Poetry
 
Do Your Worst.


From time to time, we will expand our monthly theme to an 'in character' prompt, which should be written from the perspective of any character you play, whether on SS or elsewhere (HP world specific). If enough responses are received, these prompts will be gathered into an IC book that is considered published and canon in our SSRPG - which could make your character a published author in their own right!

This month's prompt is in honor of those of us who will never be famous poets. If we can't write good poetry, then let's enjoy some BAD poetry. Awful imagery, tragic rhyming schemes, and terrible subject matter are all fair game. Remember that even bad writing is still writing.

SS rules always apply!

Eyes
My dearest,
Your eyes are brown.
Not the brown of chocolate or coffee, no matter how delicious you are.
Not the brown of mud, although you are earth and sea and sky to me.
Sort of like blue, only browner.
Sepia marbles,
Taupe globes,
Mocha medallions in a perfect face.
Your eyes are brown,
Maybe like coffee after all.

Your love is like a boggart,
Strange and mysterious,
Your love is like a boggart,
Unwanted and contrarious.

Your love is like a boggart,
It becomes everyone's worst fear,
Your love is like a boggart,
I shudder when you're near.

When you ask me out,
And talk about us,
It makes me shout,
Riddikulus!
