Entrapment
“Help me!” Ron cried wrestling with the Devil’s Snare plant yet again. “Ron?! Again?! What is with you these days?” Harry exclaimed in frustration as Neville helped Ron.
“We should have dropped Herbology with Hermione when we had the chance,” Ron said on a sigh.
“Yeah well, you thought Neville would be able to help us as well as Hermoine, no offence Neville,” Harry replied sarcastically.
“No problem,” Neville chuckled as he pushed the Devil’s Snare back out of the walk way, “I can help you with Herbology Ron; I just can’t help you from yourself!” He exclaimed laughing.

“Can you believe that woman?” Harry whispered heatedly as Professor Trelawney walked away. “She ‘sees’ something bad in my palm, crystal ball, dream oracle, and tea leaves!” Harry fought to control his temper as to not create a scene.
“Don’t let it get to you, Harry.” Ron said seeing his friend bristle up again as Professor Trelawney praised Lavender and Pravati again. “This is the last term of Divination, we don’t need it next year.”   | |

Not Under Enough “Zero points for your…I suppose you want to call it a potion.” Sneered the Potions Master as he cleaned Harry’s almost perfect potion with a lazy flick of his wand.
“Looks like you have earned zero points for this week Potter.” Snape said as he consulted his points board.
The points board had everyone’s names and points for all to see, was supposed be a positive motivation to succeed, but Harry knew it was just a means to torture Harry.
“I’ll show you zero points, Snivellus.” Harry muttered under his breath. Judging from the sudden gasps and instant silence, it wasn’t under enough.
“Detention.” Snape said without turning around.  | |

“I need your help with some third year Defense Againt the Dark Arts students. I am taking over today’s afternoon classes for Snape while he meets with Dumbledore.” He explained upon seeing Harry’s confused expression.
“I opened a closet and a Bogart flew out. I think it was really just a nasty joke from Snape.” Flitwick frowned slightly.
“Unfortunately, an un-prepared student was shocked when her deceased Grandmother flew out at her. I was wondering if you could show them a thing or too.”

The Injustice of It "I don't understand how Draco is doing better in Muggle Studies than we are Harry!" Hermoine burst out in the Common Room one night. "It just doesn't seem fair! WE grew up as muggles, HE hates muggles, how on earth is he gowing to do better than us?!" Hermoine was furious.
"I'm not sure Hermoine." Harry said carefully not wanting to experience her wrath. "Maybe he wants to understand what exactly it is he is supposed to be hating." mused Harry.

"Make a wish." Luna said kissing Neville on the cheek and catching him off gaurd.
"What?!" he said completly confused as to where that had come from.
"Make a wish Luna repeated pointing at the sky.
It was one-o-clock in the morning during the Gryffindor and Ravenclaws weekly Astronomy class at the top of the Astronomy tower.
"Why would I do that?" Neville asked, still confused.
Luna sighed, "When you see a shooting star, you are supposed to make a wish, and then seal it with a kiss or it won't come true."
"Alright." Neville said watching the sky intently. A shooting star streaked across the heavens as he gazed intently at Luna. He leaned forward, kissed her softly and whispered "I made a wish and sealed it with a kiss." | |

“Oh, what a night.” Arthur Weasley said dropping into a chair in the Burrow.
“Mundungus was found with a highly illegal shipment of Whomping Willow Saplings. They had been bewitched to grow almost completely over night once they have been planted. He was trying to sell them to unsuspecting muggles. Claimed he thought they were just bewitched Maple trees.” Arthur closed his eyes while Molly Weasley rubbed his aching head. She shot Fred and George threatening looks when they started smirking.
Arthur opened one eye to look at the twins and smiled slightly. “It does sound almost funny to tell about it doesn’t it? “Don’t get any ideas though.” He added as an after thought.

“Congratulations Honey!” Ginny exclaimed, throwing her arms around Harry’s neck and kissing him passionately.
“Yeah, congratulations mate.” Ron said. Harry and his sister had been together for a few years, but he still never got used to them snogging.
“Good job Hermione! Congratulations!” He exclaimed thankful for the distraction. “I knew you would graduate top of your class.” He said giving her a long hug.
“Yes, well, Harry certainly gave me a run for my money, that’s for sure.” She chuckled.

He looked around confused trying to find the location of the speaker as the voice said his name again, “Potter, over here.”
Harry’s eyes opened wide as he realized that the Sorting Hat was the one who had been speaking.
“Yes –“ he heisted, “ – sir?”
Dumbledore entered the room at that moment saving Harry from the obligation of having a conversation with the hat. The twinkle in his eye and the knowing smile gave Harry the impression that Dumbledore knew exactly what had happened.

Harry awoke, gasping for breath. He leapt out of bed, ran downstairs, and raced through the front door, to see if his dream was real.
He realized it was by the faint green glow before he had even looked into the sky. The Dark Mark was visible in the sky, and judging from the distance it was set a few blocks away.
“The Death Eaters, here in Little Whinging.” Harry thought as he tore down the street.
He ignored the furious yells from the Dursley’s and was oblivious to the stares and whispers of their neighbors.
He arrived in front of the home with the Dark Mark above it, and was glad now more than ever that Mrs. Figgs had been moved several days before. | |

“I found the ickle firsties.” Peeves cooed in sing-song voice as he came upon the first years waiting to be sorted.
His sudden appearance couple with the manic outburst yodeling caused several first year students to scream in fear while others covered their ears against the horrible sound.
Peeves began cackling joyfully at this development, just as Professor McGonagal entered the chamber. “Oh for heavens sake Peeves!” She chided, “out, out with you!” she exclaimed.
“Don’t be ridicules.” She impatiently chastised several near hysterical students. “That is Peeves, the Poltergeist. He is harmless – for the most part.” She added hastily.

“It’s time.” With out a word, the boys packed up their book bags and followed Remus Lupin out of the common room.
“I solemnly swear that I am up to no good.” Sirius Black muttered at a tattered piece of parchment exposing the Marauders’ map. Although the boys had permission, they always liked to sneak out of the school apposed to just waltzing out the front doors. Besides, their way was faster.
They made it to the Whomping Willow with out being observed, slide down the secret passage, and arrived at the Shrieking Shack several minutes later.
With in 10 minutes, Lupin had already transformed into his Werewolf form.
“Cutting it a bit close aren’t we Mooney?” James Potter asked amused as he Sirius Black, and Peter Pettigrew took their Animagus forms. | |

Hagrid still wasn't talking to them. No matter what they did, he refused to speak with them. He would see them on the grounds act like the didn't exist.
They tried going to his house. Hagrid opened his door, a smile on his face. It was obviouse he was expecting someone else by the way that the door slammed shut with such force that it shook the foundations of his hut.
"Hagrid open up!." Ron yelled through the door. "We want to apologize." Hermione added. "Hmph." was all they got.
"You can't hide from us for ever, Hagrid." Harry said, losing his patience. "Watch me." Hagrid yelled in return.
"It was most unfortunate that you dropped Hagrid's Care of Magical Creature class." Dumbledore appeared out of no where, with the ever present twinkle in his eye.  | |

Hermione looked around at her fellow Gryffindors and the Hufflepuffs that were filling out of Professor Binns' class room, and sighed dejectedly as she realized that all of the students had dazed, half-asleep expressions on their faces.

Never Offend the Teacher
"We will be learning a new and powerful charm today class!" Professor Flitwick told his 6th year Charm students. The students sat up, intently alert at the new spell they were about to learn.
"The wand movement is such." Flitwick demonstrated by flicking his wand up slightly, then pointing it at an object.
"The incantation is 'Tapuelus Magicus' now I am not going to tell you what it does, I want you to successful do this charm to learn what it does!"
"That’s' it." it makes things tap dance?" Ron asked disappointed. Flitwork jerked around, shocked to discover that more than half of the class successfully performed the charm on the first try.
"Well then!" Flitwick said angrily, "let’s see you sort this one out then!" he said has he repeated the spell, but aimed it at the floor. All of the students, whose feet had been touching the floor, began tap dance as Flitwick marched out of the room.

"Why can't you do the simple task of turning your tea cup into a gerbil and back again, Mr. Weasley?" Professor McGonagall snapped in impatiently.
She had been snappish with the entire class, and not wanting to evoke her wrath upon them, the Gryffindor and Hufflepuff class had been working feverishly to accomplish the task set to them.
"I don't know why she is picking on me," Ron said bitterly. "I am not the only one that can't do it, look at Neville. Old McGonagall must have had too much of Madame Rosmerta’s mead last night, he finished, smirking, unfortunately as Professor McGonagall walked behind him.
"Detention!" She screamed, wincing in pain.

"What?! Why does Goyle have the Quaffle?!" Professor McGonagall interrupted Lee Jordan's Commentating.
Madame Hooch's whistled cut through the air. "Goyle!" She barked, "Why do you have the quaffle, and don't tell me you didn't mean to catch it!"
"I don't know," Fred interrupted her ranting, "Goyle is dumb enough." George finished with a thoughtful expression on his face. The rest of the Gryffindor team and half of the Slytherin team nodded in agreement, Goyle shook his head in agreement, taking him almost five minutes to realize that Fred and George were not complimenting him.

Suprise
"Who are you going to the Yule Ball with, Harry?" Her whining voice interrupted his thoughts.
"Myrtle!" Harry exclaimed. "He could see her reflection in the mirror peering over the edge of the toilet. "What are you doing in the boys bathroom." Harry demanded.
"I like to stop in every now and then to see if that sensitive boy from last year has come back, but of course he never does!" Myrtle sighed.
"Draco is a murdering prat, Myrtle, he needless to say, has been expelled." Harry said between grit teeth. "And who I'm going with to the Ball is none of your concern!" He said still seething.
Myrtle gave a scream, and slammed back into the toilet, splashing Harry with it's contents.

Case of the missing Book
"I can't find it!" Hermione was frantically searching around the common room for her copy of Hogwarts, a History. "Where is it, I just had it." She screached in near panic.
Just then, she happen to notice the Weasley twins, snickering in the corner, the heads burried in their arms.
"What are you two up to?!" She snapped.
Their bodies began shacking uncontrolable, as they, failing miserably, attempted to subdue their laughter. "Up is the key word!" Their giggling fits, left them on the floor, clutching their stomachs.
"Agh, you two are hopeless." Hermione scowled as she walked away. Realizing what Fred had said, she slowly looked up.
The twins heard her scream in frustration as they bolted through the Common Room door.
