97. Dictionary
sixth year

“Hand me that dictionary Hank.” Lydia commanded.

“How did you know it was me?” He asked Lydia as she continued to work over her book and parchment. Occasionally she'd flip a few pages.

She laughed, “You’re not the quietest person when it comes to the library.” She told him. “Hand me the dictionary.” She commanded again.

Hank pulled the large book off of the shelf and handed it to her. “You know how I feel about the library.” Hank told her. “I think it should be treated like any other place in the school.” He said clearly and quite loud.

94. Allergic
seventh year

“Hank Turner!” The old librarian called from a few isles away. “You have until my count to three to get elsewhere.” She told him.

“I think she’s allergic to something. The way she acts.” Hank said to a nearby first year.

“I’m allergic to you Turner.” She said rounding the corner. “Now leave if you can’t behave properly, and stop bugging the younger students.” She told him, pointing towards the door. “Go, and this time I won’t punish you.”

“You just want me out, don’t you?”

“Just go Hank!” Lydia exclaimed as she continued to work away.

“Fine.” He grumbled.

8. Potions
first year

“Not again.” Grumbled the potions master, he was tired of the Turner boy messing everything up when he set foot in his class. “What happened this time, Turner?” He dared ask as he got closer to the first year.

“Nothing, professor.” He smiled looking at his cauldron that was bubbling bright pink.

Pinching the bridge of his nose, the professor let out a sigh. “Skip the nonsense Turner.” He commanded.

“Fine, okay, alright.” Hank sighed, “My book fell in the cauldron." He admitted. “I quite like that shade of pink though, how about you professor?” Hank smiled at his teacher.

20. Hogsmeade
third year

“Please Professor.” Hank begged as he followed his Head of House down the corridor.

“I told you no Turner. I think it’s in the best interest of everyone that you stay in the castle this weekend.” He told Hank.

Hank dropped to his knees and put his hands together. “Plllleeeeaaasssse sir.” He begged letting his bottom lip stick out like a child’s.

“Fine. But if I hear of any destruction, you’re in detention for a month. Understood?” Hoping he didn’t regret this.

“Of course!” Hank said jumping up; he gave the professor a high five and ran off towards Hogsmeade.

23. Telescope
third year

“I still don’t understand this Professor!” Hank called with his head against the telescope. He couldn’t see anything out of the thing. Everything was small and blurred.

“I don’t think these things are doing what they’re supposed to be doing.” Hank commented, “Everything is all blurry.” Hank explained.

“Turner! How many times have we had to go over this, you have to look through the small end to see anything.” The astronomy Professor sighed.

Hank backed up from the telescope. “Oooohhhh yeah…I forgot about that.” He laughed as he walked around and looked into the telescope properly, finding the wall.

100. Homework
fifth year

Less than two minutes on the clock, Hank was running through the castle weaving between students who were dragging their trunks downstairs to go home. With seconds remaining Hank flopped the stack of parchment rolls down on the professor’s desk. “Right on time once again.” He grinned.

“If only you’d put the same effort on the assignments when you get them.” The professor sighed. “These better be of quality Turner or I’ll give you zeros for them all.” He told him.

“Promise.” Hank said nodding his head. “All homework is the same with me, why turn it in on time?”

2. Muggle Studies
third year

“If I were a Muggle, I’d want to be an astronaut.” Hank started his presentation. The professor nodded his head as if to say he could continue.

“If I was an astronaut that would mean I could fly into space and meet all the other creatures out there.” Hank continued. The professor raised his eyebrows.

“I’d go visit the sun, and then find a black hole and throw a bunch of garbage in it. For example all the vegetables I can find around me.” He concluded with a smile. Taking a bow he turned and went back to his seat.

4. Ancient Runes
third year

“Hank, do you realize that you were enrolled in Ancient Runes all this year?”

“I was?”

“Yes, you were.” The headmaster said nodding his head.

“What’s the problem then?”

“You didn’t go to a single class.”

“Sure I did.”

“Excuse me?”

“I was there in my thoughts…while I was napping.”

“Napping you say?”

“Of course, two o’clock is my napping time.”

“How did I forget?” The headmaster asked.

“I don’t know.” Hank said throwing his arms in the air as he got up to leave. “Now, does this mean I still have to do the homework?” Hank questioned the headmaster.

5. Astronomy
first year

“Now, astronomy is the class with the tea leaves right?” Hank questioned looking at his time table as he continued to eat some bacon.

“No, astronomy is the one with the stars and telescopes.” An older student pointed out.

“Why do we need to eat stars?” Hank asked. “That’s pointless; the sides of the points of the stars would be difficult to swallow them. And quite frankly, I don’t think they’d taste all that good anyway.”

“Why would you eat stars?” The older student questioned, concerned about the first year.

“Why WOULDN’T you eat stars?” Hank asked as he left.

71. Untie
sixth year

“HANK!” Preston yelled from the front of the house.

Hank continued to hide in the back closet nearest the back door. He knew Preston wouldn’t look for him there, and he could always escape outside if their dad didn’t come back home soon.

“GET DOWN HERE AND UNTIE MY SHOES!” Preston yelled.

“That’s what you get when you fall asleep with shoes on.” Hank whispered to the broom he was crouched beside.

There was a loud thud in the other room. “HANK! I’m serious! I’ve just tripped.” Preston called, very clearly not amused, as Hank ducked out the back door.

56. Fight
seventh year

“Turner. Two. Now. Don’t talk.”

Hank entered room two and tried to keep the blood from getting onto the bed, because he had already made too many messes for the Healer to clean up in the last six years.

“Why did you get in a fight with Austin?” She asked. It was the rare exception to the no questions asked policy they had practiced for six previous years.

“Wasn't a fight, actually. He tried waking me up from a nap.” Hank told her as he watched the blood disappear.

“You take your napping seriously don’t you?” she asked, clearly annoyed.

53. Chase
second year

“I’m gonna get you Turner!” The groundskeeper yelled as he chased Hank through the castle.

“You’ll have to be a lot faster than that.” Hank called behind him as he ran up a flight of stairs and then hid behind a suit of armor just in time to be completely hidden from the groundskeeper.

“Boo!” He yelled after the groundskeeper passed the suit of armor. Taking off the way he had come, Hank was not about to give up now.

“You’re gonna get in a lot of trouble for this Turner!” The keeper yelled as he tried to run faster.

14. Hogwarts, A History
second year

“WHAT?! You’re not giving him detention?” The groundskeeper asked the headmaster.

“Believe me, he will make more of a mess in detention then he will reading Hogwarts, A History and making detailed notes to hand in to me.” The headmaster said wistfully.

“He charmed all of my chickens pink, my pumpkins to sky blue and my hut into pink and yellow plaid.” The groundskeeper huffed with his arms crossed.

“You have a thing for plaid don’t you Hank?” He asked pointing to his plaid shirt he was currently wearing.

“That’s not the point sir.” The groundskeeper interrupted.

Hank just smiled.

6. Divination
seventh year

“I used to think that you were in the class just for tea.”

“Really?” Hank questioned, knitting his eyebrows together.

“Oh yes, considering how you’d drink an entire pot of tea by yourself in one class.”

Hank nodded his head, he could understand that.

“You’re actually quite good at the subject.” The professor finally admitted. “Although you did break a lot of things.” She added on. “And annoy me to no end.” She added on as an afterthought.

Hank smiled, almost speechless, he had never been praised before.

“Thank Merlin I’m done with you.” She said with a thankful smile.

13. Quidditch
fourth year

Hank couldn’t stop beaming.

“Did you fart again?” Austin asked, ready to vacate the area.

“Yes, but that’s not why I’m smiling.” Hank said with a cheerful tone.

“Oh dear Merlin, please don’t tell me you kidnapped another first year.” Austin sighed shaking his head. "You said the last one was the last one."

“Nope. Not even close.” Hank chuckled.

“What gives?”

“I made the Quidditch team.”

“Oh no, we’re completely doomed now.” Austin laughed as he tossed the day's Daily Prophet across the room at Hank.

"How are we going to celebrate? A kidnapping?"

Austin sighed. "Hank, absolutely not."

26. Quill
fifth year

Hank was running through the castle again, not a rare occasion by any means. But today there was a quill that flying through the air behind him. “HELP ME!” he hollered through the corridor as he ran.

“What’s going on now?” The headmaster asked a nearby student.

“I do not know sir, Turner from Hufflepuff is running around like his head is chopped off.” The young student said.

They watched as Hank ran back past them just seconds away from being attacked by the flying quill.

“I guess I’ll go rescue him.” The headmaster chuckled as he raised his wand.

99. Newspaper
seventh year

“Turner, I’m forbidding you from having more than ten newspapers at once.”

“Why is that sir?” Hank asked his head of house.

“Because.”

“Because why?"

“Because I don’t like going around the common room and taking down every edition of the Daily Prophet you’ve had since you were born. That’s why!”

“I was trying to give the common room a makeover sir.”

“Oh really?”

“Yes really. I think it looked quite good sir.”

“You do realize that in that in the process of your renovation you’ve ruined the majority of the chairs in the common room?”

“I did, did I?”

82. Careful
seventh year

“Yes you did Turner!” he exclaimed.

“Okay, so I did.”

“You better march back up to the boys’ dormitory and go back to bed.”

“Or you’re going to give me a detention?”

“I’m thinking about it, yes. Especially if you aren’t careful.”

“Careful with what sir?”

“Have you not been paying attention Turner?”

“Obviously not. It’s like three in the morning and I’m tired.” Hank yawned.

The man growled. “You’re really pushing it this time Turner.”

“Pushing what? I haven’t pushed anything. Have you been paying attention?”

“Turner, I suggest you just march right on down to the Headmaster’s office.”

40. Spell
seventh year

“What happened this time Hank? Late night mining again?”

“Actually sir, I thought I’d do that when it gets a bit warmer out. Maybe after the first good rain in the spring.”

“We’ll cross that bridge when it comes to it then. Would you please explain our visit this morning?”

“Well, you see sir, I tried to give the common room a new look.”

“How so?”

“Stapling every edition of the Daily Prophet I’ve had saved to the walls.”

There was silence for a moment as the Headmaster imagined this. “How long did it take?” He questioned with a smile.

98. Pajamas
second year

“TURNER!”

“Yes!”

“You’re late once again for my class.”

“Sorry about that. I’d say it won’t happen again but we both know that’s not something I can commit to.”

“Why in Merlin’s name are you wearing pajamas to my class?”

“Just woke up.”

“You realize that it’s eleven in the morning and you missed a meal and two classes?”

“What’s the big deal, I made it here before class was over which is better than most other classes I’m supposed to be attending on a regular basis. Besides, can’t I just transfigure them, that is what this class is, right?”

96. Socks
third year

“Professor, sir. I was wondering if you’ve seen my socks around.” Hank asked the Headmaster.

“Can you not keep track of your socks either? I thought we solved this with the shoes that you made go invisible and then proceeded to misplace.” The Headmaster sighed.

“Well, this is actually quite different.” Hank started. “I transformed them to have legs…”

“And they ran away? Okay. I get it. What do they look like?”

“Well, they’re a really deep blue, darker than royal blue. They’re almost black in fact. And they have white stripes, you can’t miss them.”

“I’ll keep a lookout.”

95. Snowball
sixth year

Hank was starting to get frustrated. It was three against three; Austin, Lydia and Hank against three fourth year Slytherins. The Slytherins were gaining ground on them, they were losing their precious land to a bunch of fourth years.

“Come on Lydia. You throw like a girl.” Hank told her as he made another snowball and stood up long enough to chuck it directly at one of the Slytherins.

“Hank. I don’t know if you remember things like this or not, but she is a girl.” Austin added as he too stood up and threw a snowball at the Slytherins.

84. Angry
sixth year

At this point, Lydia was clearly angry at Hank, though Hank was too engrossed in the snowball fight to even notice. She grabbed a handful of snow and began to pack it tightly into a snowball. When it became big enough she stood up and turned to Hank. Raising her arm she slung it right into Hank’s face.

“How’s that for a girl?” She questioned.

The Slytherins were completely bewildered, they stopped their snow war to watch what unfolded.

“Pretty good actually! You threw it at the wrong person though.” Hank said as he wiped his face clean of snow.

30. Feast
seventh year

“It’s been a fantastic school year. I’m looking forward to seeing your young faces again next year. However I will be missing the seventh years.” The Headmaster began.

Hank felt Austin’s elbow in his side. “What?” He asked.

“Saying goodbye to the seventh years is always hard for me.”

“Are you crying?” Austin whispered.

“You are all such great people, and you will be missed by the younger students."

“No! I am not crying!” Hank declared quite loudly, with a sniffle.

“Even you Hank, though you did scare a lot of the students to the point of wetting their pants.”

92. Chocolate
fifth year

“Alright, everyone! If I can have your attention!” Hank hollered from atop the Hufflepuff table. “I know Valentine’s day is quickly approaching, I just want to remind you all that I will greatly accept chocolate. It’s one of my favorites.”

A professor was headed from the staff table towards Hank.

“You can just address the packages to one Hank Turner of Hufflepuff!” He added on quickly to the students in the Great Hall. “Thank you!” He said with a smile.

Climbing down from the table, Hank had just enough time to escape the professor by running out of the Hall
