8. Potions

Today, their professor brought some Amortentia for them to smell. “Who would like to go first?” the professor asked, while Tyler pushed Lucy towards the front. “Very well, Ms. McLean,” Lucy threw Tyler a glare and approached the potion.

Inhaling the scent, Lucy said, “I smell chocolate frogs, sheep and.. Tyler’s hoodie,” she blushed at the last and stood back quickly. The professor nodded.

“Mr. Way, you’re next,” Groaning, Tyler made his way to the front and inhaled the potion’s scent.

“I smell candy, soccer equipment and cupcakes,” he laughed. Turning to Lucy, he winked and walked back behind her.

10. Arithmancy

“I don’t understand muggle math, what makes these people think I’m going to understand Arithmancy?” Tyler mumbled to himself in class. Why did they need numbers to predict the future anyways? Wasn’t there Divination for that?

“You got that answer wrong,” Lucy teased, circling a number in his book. “It’s supposed to be 82,”

“Since you’re so brilliant, you do it for me,” he glared, pushing his work towards her, not noticing the professor watching them.

“Mr. Way, I suggest you do your own work, or else it’s detention again,” she called out, waving her wand and clearing his page.

32. Common Room

Being in the Ravenclaw common room was Tyler’s sanity place. He was away from Lucy and Kat for a bit and it was where Adam and he came up with devilish plans for the younger years. But right now, he was running up the spiral staircase to enter his common room.

“Tyler, come back here!” Lucy called out from below, rushing behind him.

“What came first, the phoenix or the flame?” asked the bronze eagle doorknob. Just when Tyler was about to answer, he felt his robes being dragged back downstairs.

“Why couldn’t we just have a password?!” he cried.

11.History of Magic

The professor was droning on and on about giant wars but the two lovebirds were fast asleep.
“The casualties were numerous,” He said in a monotonous voice. In response, Tyler Way snorted but the sound was missed because someone sneezed at the same time. Lucy, on the other hand, woke up suddenly. The sleepy redhead glanced around, jotted down some notes (Giadunt wadfrs blah blah) and then nudged Tyler.
The boy grunted awake and saw Lucy; sighing slightly, he waved his wand and transformed her book into a pillow. Smiling, Lucy placed her head on it and fell asleep again.

25. Sorting Hat

“Do you think I actually belong in Ravenclaw? I mean, look at me! I can barely do homework and yet, I ended up in the house that supposed to be for the smart and wise,” Tyler huffed.

“You’re smart, just really lazy. The Sorting hat wouldn’t make a mistake,” Lucy answered, kicking rocks into the lake.

“But that hat is probably older than the school itself. It’s lost its touch,”

“Well, I think I belong in Gryffindor,” Lucy said proudly, grinning nonetheless.

“Yeah, where the brave at heart dwell. Right, you definitely belong there,” Ty laughed, inching away from her.

3. Transfiguration

Today, they were learning how to turn animals into water goblets. Tyler was having good progress—he had already managed to transfigure his squeaking rat. Lucy, on the other hand, was more worried about getting too near her rat.
First of all, she was sitting a good 6 inches away from her desk. Second of all, every time her rat ran towards her, she would shriek and then hit it with her wand.

Tyler, of course, was enjoying all this—until Lucy’s rat scrambled over to him and knocked his pristine water goblet to the floor. CRASH!
“Whoops,” she said.

85. Snappish

Another night without any sleep. Tyler was trying to catch up on late homework and still trying to do every day’s homework. So far, it wasn’t pretty at all. Sitting at his house table, he was fiddling around with his food when Lucy sat next to him.

“You’re not going to eat?” she asked.

“Not hungry,”
“Do you want some pumpkin juice?” She tried again, in a pleading voice.
“No,” Ty answered blankly.

“You should at least eat something. You’re gonna need-“
“Lucy! I just don’t want anything right now! Stop asking me!” Tyler hollered, taking his things and leaving.

4. Ancient Runes

The chocolate bunny was hunched over Ancient Runes homework in the courtyard. A breeze stole through and rifled some of her pages but still she did not move. Tapping her quill, Lucy tried to decipher what was written on her parchment.
“Hey there, Redhead!” Came a voice nearby. Lucy looked up only to find Ty’s chin in close proximity with her eyes—he was kissing her forehead like he always did.
“Hey,” She replied with a grin but then turned back to the runes.
“What does this mean?” She asked.
Ty looked. “Forget homework and spend time with your boyfriend.”

26. Quill

“Quill. QUILL! WHERE’S MY QUILL!?” Tyler rummaged through his bag, trying to look for his favorite quill. Meanwhile, Lucy was scribbling away in her homework. How far could a quill go in a library? Which lucky for Tyler, the librarian hadn’t heard him.

“Hush up and sit. I’ll lend you one of mine,” Lucy spoke, digging into her bag and taking out a purple one.

Taking it into his hand, Tyler just stared at the colorful feather. “You actually expect me to write with this?”

“Fine here,” she said, handing him a pink one. Sighing, Tyler had no other choice.

46. Dungeon

“Why are we down in the dungeons?” Tyler asked, eyeing the Slytherins that were giving Lucy and him looks.

“Whitney asked us to meet her here. She said something about a magic trick,” Lucy answered.

Ty blinked his eyes. A magic trick? “Whatever. Let’s just hurry up. These Slytherins are really annoying me,” Dragging his feet behind Lucy, Ty tried to ignore the bad vibe the dungeons always carried. To him, it was the scariest place in the entire castle. Why did Whitney have to be a Slytherin?

Stupid dungeons with mean Slytherins and creepy vibes that scared him.

5. Astronomy

It was midnight and the fifth years were busy charting the planets for Astronomy. Many yawns could be heard but the scribbling and squeak of the telescopes was overwhelming.
Tyler was searching the skies for Mars but was having difficulty. As he turned his telescope sharply, he heard a deafening WHACK! and then a yelp. Scrambling, he let go of his telescope and searched for the source of the noise.

Next to him sat a very annoyed Lucy, whose nose now resembled a tomato—Tyler had hit her with his telescope.

“Whoops,” He chuckled apologetically but the humor was evident.

7. Care of Magical Creatures

“Unicorns are sooo pretty,” murmured Lucy as she pet a baby unicorn. “Don’t you think so, Ty?” She asked, turning around to face him.
Tyler stood a good 5 feet back, his arms crossed. “Uhhh, sure,” He said warily, his eyes on the creature Lucy was petting.
Suddenly, he cleared his throat. “Y’know, muggles don’t think unicorns are real,” He said matter-of-factly.
At these words, the baby unicorn grunted, its eyes narrowed at Tyler; clearly it was angry.
Lucy looked from the unicorn to Tyler and then back again.
“I think it heard you,” She whispered while Tyler stepped back.

36. Muggle

“Muggle. Muggle. Muggle,” Tyler murmured to himself as he drove to his new place with Lucy.

“Shut up. Muggles aren’t all bad,” Lucy nudged him on his side and kept looking out the window. Tyler really didn’t like the idea of living surrounded by muggles where magic had to be limited.

“Why did you make me choose this place and not let me live in the wizarding world?” he asked, as the car stopped in front of a beige brick house.

“Because this neighborhood is way better. Get it? Wayyyyyy?” Lucy laughed, getting out of the car and going inside.

13. Quidditch

Lucy sat in the Courtyard, brushing the tail of her broom. She was longing to play in an actual Quidditch game but being only a reserve, she hadn’t gotten much action. As she sat there and pouted, someone walked up and blocked the sun.
“Hey!—“ She looked up only to find Tyler. “Oh, hi,” She said rather glumly.
Taking a seat beside her, he said, “Why the long face?”
“I wanna fly,” was the reply.
“Sorry to disappoint, but you don’t have wings, Luce,” joked Ty.
Lucy gave him a look and then wacked him with her broom.
“Ow!”

44. Ford Anglia

Tyler and Lucy were out trying to buy a new car, in preparation for the new baby. But no luck in finding a car they both fancied.

“Why not an SUV type of car? That way we’ll have more space for all her shopping sprees and the baby stuff of course,” Ty joked, just to have Lucy glare at him and walk towards other cars.

“Well, I would like a car I’d be able to drive. So I prefer to have a smaller type one,” Luce answered.

“You? Driving? I wouldn’t even let you near a Ford Anglia,” he laughed.

16. Dragonhide Gloves

“Do you know what we use dragon-hide gloves for?” Tyler asked Luce, who was looking at a pair of pink ones.

“It’s used for potions, you idiot!” Luce yelled at him. Could her boyfriend really be this stupid? Of course, he was Tyler Way after all.

“Sheesh, don’t need to be so mean. I was just a question!” he retorted, taking out his supplies list and walking around the shop. “It’s used for Magical Creatures, not potions, you idiot!” Tyler slapped Lucy on the back of her head with the gloves he quickly bought and ran out the store with.

71. Untie

“TYLER ALEJANDRO WAY! UNTIE ME FROM THIS TREE RIGHT NOW!” Lucy screamed. The pair was at it again, but this time, a bit more drastic.

“Will you finally calm down if I do?” he asked, calmly. Lucy just nodded, hoping it had convinced him. Once Tyler took down the rope, she charged at him.

“HOW CAN YOU LEAVE TO NEW YORK FOR ABOUT A MONTH?! YOU JUST GOT BACK!” Luce chased him around the Fanellis backyard, where they were celebrating Stephen becoming a healer.

“You said you would be calm!” Ty called out, slipping and falling into the pool. Lovely.

88. Sweet Tooth

It was no secret the couple had a sweet tooth. But maybe one had it more than the other. Lucy was sitting on the couch, munching on some chocolate and licorice wands. Tyler was sitting on the chair next to her, just staring.

“I think you need to cut down on your sweet intake. It’s not healthy,” he said, covering his face with a pillow, avoiding the glare.

“I can do as I please!” Luce responded, taking a bite of a chocolate frog in front of him. “The dentist said I had no cavities!”

“Just wait until the next visit,”

80. First Steps
Author's Choice

For the past few weeks, Lucy and Tyler have been trying to help their son, Nathan, on taking his first steps. Today seemed like it can finally be that day.

“Come on, you can do it,” Lucy sat opposite of Ty, sticking her hands out to the little blonde boy.

“Okay Nathan, go with mommy,” Ty chuckled, lifting Nathan to his feet and giving him a small push. Nathan slowly took one step but fell down again. The doorbell rang and Spike ran to the entrance. To everyone’s surprise, Nathan got on his feet and ran after the dog. “Wow!”

20. Hogsmeade

“More Butterbeer, please,” Lucy said as she held out her empty bottle. Her grin made Tyler grin as well—she should probably cut down her sugar intake but their anniversary was a special case.
“Another Butterbeer, coming right up!” Ty replied, getting up and going to the bar. While she waited, Lucy slipped his present on his chair—a new iPod.
“There you are—“ Tyler started but he saw the present. And then his jaw dropped.
“LUCE! YOU—THIS—AHHH!!” He was so overcome with happiness that he pulled Lucy up from her seat and snogged her in public.

58. Hoot

“Hoot, hoot,” Tyler imitated his mother’s owl in her studio. Flapping his arms like wings, he continued to hoot until Luce walked in.

“What are you doing?” she asked, setting down a fashion book his mom had lent her. “You look ridiculous!”

“I’m imitating the owl!” Ty responded, continuing the hooting and flapping all over the room. It seemed like the owl was now upset because he began biting Tyler’s arm. Lucy hid under the glass desk, still getting a view of the entertainment in front of her. “YOU STUPID BIRD!” Ty yelled, taking a book and chasing the owl.

37. Animagus

“Why do people need to be registered as an animagus?” Tyler murmured to himself. He wasn’t looking into becoming one, just wondering why people had to be registered in order to be one. He continued to flip through his Daily Prophet, trying to find something more interesting to focus on. So far, no such luck.

“Babe, you’re looking at a newly registered animagus!” Lucy said proudly, entering the house and standing in front of him.

“What did you register as?” he asked, not looking away from his paper.

“You have to guess!” she jumped up and down.

“A stupid sheep?”

70. Teem

Lucy’s face was apprehensive as she observed the dirt before her. “Tyler, our garden is teeming with worms. Do something about it,” She moaned, eying him from across the garden.
Ty sighed and left his half washed dog on the soapy pavement. Walking over to where Luce stood, he bent down and examined the ground. There were a few worms, yes, but nothing to worry about.
“Luce, you know worms are good for the dirt?” He said matter-of-factly.
“So?! They’re creepy!” was the reply.
Tyler rolled his eyes and covered them with dirt.
“There, all gone,” he grinned and winked.

29. Pensieve

“Roar!” Tyler imitated a lion while playing with Nathan. Since Luce was out working, he had free time before doing more work back at his actual home. But before Lucy had left, he had remembered she said for him to do something. Nathan began waving his arms around, which only meant one thing; Lucy was home.

“Did you do what I asked you to?” she asked, kissing Nathan and her husband on the cheek.

“Um, yes?” he replied, nervously.

“I’m going to get you a pensieve since you obviously can’t remember anything,” she said, pointing to the still dripping sink.

68. Roar

“Nathan, I am your father,” Tyler laughed, dressed as Darth Vader for Halloween. Nathan was dressed as Simba since his mother wanted him to be a Gryffindor like her one day. Seeing as Luce was still getting ready, Ty placed Nathan on his high chair and hid.

“Nathan, can you roar like Simba?” Lucy cooed, making claws in front of him. Nathan kept babbling in his own little language when Ty turned on his voice changer. “Say roar!”

“ROAR!” Tyler jumped up from behind the high chair and scared Lucy. Oh, what a lovely Halloween it was going to be.
