 In close proximity to the library lies the study hall. Whether you are a first year or a seventh year, a Gryffindor or a Slytherin, a boy or a girl, this room is the best place to go for your studying and homework completion needs. If you ever find yourself stuck on something or have no clue what you're doing, you can always ask those who you are studying with for help or the professor that is overseeing the study session.
Scattered around the room are groups of desks that make it perfect for you and your friends to collaboratively work together. Average-sized oil lamps have been strategically placed on the desks to create a calm, comfortable environment. In a neat pile in the centre of the desks are extra quills, bottles of ink, and spare parchment should you need it -- just remember to leave the quills and ink at the table and only use what you need for parchment. Under the windows a long bookshelf containing a copy of textbooks for each class can be found, which you are welcome to use during your time in this room.

If ONLY Aries Flamsteed would realize the seriousness of OWLs and not just assume he or Atlas would figure it all out by the time it was time for the most important academic time of his entire life so far.
But no - Aries was instead focusing on chasing the troll who had stolen something very valuable from him ...... in his dreams.
Fast asleep, and drolling on the book he had been reading - the dream version of Aries Flamsteed dove straight off a building to catch the troll who was flying off on a broom.

Edric, per usual, was behind in all his classes. The homework was piling up. The due dates were... well, they were more of suggestions to him, weren't they? He didn't really care, though, as long as no one was sending Howlers home. He was much more interested in the epic doodle he was doing at the moment; it involved a fight between a basilisk and a phoenix, and he was enthusiastically illustrating it across two parchments which he'd lined up side by side.
He was so invested in his effort that a few beads of sweat had begun to accumulate on his forehead, FURIOUSLY doodling as he was, shoving a book to the side and accidentally into his Flamsteed neighbor's elbow as he continued his scribbling, his quill loudly scritch-scratching into the parchment with wild abandon. | |

The moment the boy's elbow met the sleeping Flamsteed - Aries jerked awake - standing up straight and yelling out: "FLYING TROLL --- FLYING TROLL"
...
Oh.
Embarrassed at the stares and realising where he actually was, he cleared his throat and totally tried playing it cool --- "just ... a ... just a really interesting chapter" he announced very casually before settling down and sinking down in his seat.

Flying troll!? "WHERE?" Edric blurted, his head swiveling toward the windows in anticipation of something hilarious, misshapen, and laws-of-physics-defying to come levitating by.
Alas, it seemed Flamsteed was the troll.
"Reaaaaallly interesting," Ed murmured under his breath, snorting a bit as he rolled up his sleeves and flicked his wand into his hand. "I'll show YOU a flying troll."
Quietly, as ABSOLUTELY softly as he could, he cast Wingardium Leviosa toward the rear pockets of the boy next to him, so that hopefully he would indeed look like a flying troll in just a few.
What? He needed to practice this spell anyway. | |

Atlas had moved himself and his study materials down the long table and away from Aries once he had fallen asleep. A protective measure, you see, in case his brother started to snore or drool and it dripped on to his notes and smeared the ink. Had this every happened before? Not that he could recall. Aries did not have a habit of using his perfectly aligned stacks of notes for pillows. His brother was more likely to use his lap for that...which was another reason for the move. He did have every intention of waking his brother up, eventually, and his self imposed deadline had been the end of his revision of his Transfiguration notes from class last week.
Atlas had not liked the way he had organized things then...so a redo was in order.
However, it seemed like someone else had beaten him to the task (and Aries was having that flying troll dream again, maybe he would use his brother for his Oneiromancy assignment he still needed to start) ...which freed Atlas up to continue with dotting all his i's and crossing all his t's. His attention was, unfortunately, divided...and he kept glancing out of the corner of his eye to see what his brother and their younger peer was up to...especially in light of the conversations he and Aries had been having lately about...things. Social circles. Their square pegs.
And he wasn't aware that one of his meticulously place stacks of notes was beginning to shift sideways on the table away from him.

Still a bit frazzled by the dream, the boy was just coming back to earth when his felt himself lift up in the air - bum first.
WHAT.
Grabbing on to the edge of the table, the fifth year flailed a bit - looking around in panic. "Atlas. ATLAS!"

"I don't see an atlas in your pile of books," he chirped, leaning over to look at the levitating lad's things. Oh, but look, there was his twin on the other side, dropping a stack of papers now. Maybe he had an atlas to track the flying Flamsteed with?

Still TRYING to focus (if it wasn't his metal charming projects it was OWLs to distracted from the obscene peer pressure this whole stupid dance thing was thrusting upon him - which was really rude. It was OWL year, for Dumbledore's sake!), THE Atlas became acutely aware of the movement of his papers as he reached for the stack only to find it not where he had left it. In fact, it was all the way on the other side of the table now with a set of six very mechanical legs. Sighing and getting his wand out to summon them, and Pandora, back to himself, Atlas pulled his wand from his robe's pocket and was just about to cast when he heard the sound of his brother screaming.
Screaming his name, nonetheless.
Head snapping around, and his papers and studying arrangement flying in every which direction thanks to the woosh of air his movements had caused, Atlas found his brother floating...and some boy grinning like a cocky hyena up at him. "ANTEOCULATIA!" he spat, seeing red and thrusting his wand in the direction of the other boy. Aries would be fine hanging out there for a bit. First course of action was obviously incapacitation.

Edric's self-congratulating was destined for a quick end, alas, all thanks to Atlas. One minute he was grinning to himself, stretching out and tipping his chair back, and the next he was suddenly falling backwards, his head aching with the additional weight of...
*CRASH* "Antlers?!" Edric groaned from the ground, his hands feeling up the impossible growths that had sprung out from under his blonde locks. "Owwww, owww...." He couldn't even roll out properly from his chair because he was all off-balance now!!! This felt like a really bad toothache coming from his temples. But would he ask for help?
No, absolutely not. He was going to lie here and feel up his antlers again as he watched Flamsteed One float up to the ceiling, if he could
