Back Cars https://s26.postimg.cc/ynolr5q55/back-cars-banner.jpg If you want to be the last to leave or want to hang with the more rowdy crowd, then the back passenger cars of the train are for you. Just like the other cars, a long corridor provides access to the many compartments, each labelled with a letter, available for you and your friends to hunker down in until the train has come to a complete stop. Cushioned seats and large windows, allowing perfect views of the British scenery on your journey, await. |
Open! Unsurprisingly, Vera had been too tired after the copious amounts of food consumed at the Feast to really try to sneak out of the castle to go see the Sphinx. She HAD really wanted to, but all of the carbs had lulled her into a more docile temperament and she'd followed along with the crowd instead of causing problems. Maybe she could just convince the Care of Magical Creatures professor next year to let them go and hang out in the Forest with her! Would it work if she promised to replace Charms as her favorite subject??? Emotional manipulation was a thing that was supposed to work, right??? Regardless, that was a problem for SECOND year Vera. First year Vera made her way aaaaaaall the way to the back of the train and collapsed into an empty compartment, streeeeeeetching herself out across the seat while she let herself enjoy the momentary feeling of not having to worry about ANY school work for the next couple of months. No Defense Against the Dark Arts, no Transfiguration and BEST of all, no Potions. She liked when Professor Hernandez let them gather ingredients but when it came to actually BREWING... she was a lost cause. But again, problems for second year Vera. So instead she reigned her thoughts from anything school related by reaching into her bag and pulling out a bar of chocolate and.. unceremoniously smashing it into her face to munch on. |

He headed onto the train, casually looking for a compartment. He thought of sitting with his cousin, and he probably would try to find Benjee at some point, but he figured he'd want to sit with his girlfriend, so maybe he'd look for him later. And he eventually found one with someone his age already inside so he stepped in. "Hey... you're Vasco's sister, right?" Vera, he knew her name to be. Phoenix had seen her plenty in classes and just around the school, plus she was the twin of his dormmate, but he wasn't sure he'd ever had a proper conversation with her. "Mind if I sit here?" |

Hearing the door slide open, she tilted her head to look at the boy in the doorway, her nose wrinkling slightly at being referred to as Vasco's sister. Not that she had any problem with that role, but that was all this fellow first year knew of her?? Vasco was forever intent on being BORING and she certainly did not want that on her reputation!!! "Vera. But yes. He's my brother! Do you know him?" Curious, considering he'd said he planning on talking to NO ONE. |

"Cool, thanks." Phoenix headed further inside and took a seat on the bench opposite Vera. He probably wouldn't lie down, at least not any time soon. If he got really tired later, then maybe. It was a really long train ride after all. A sentiment that she seemed to share. "Yeah, I guess so. But at least we got to ride in the carriages this time." He couldn't see the thestrals so it looked like they ran on their own accord, even if he knew it was them. "Plus I saved some cookies from the feast to have on the way back." And he could share. Though he was a little surprised she didn't at least know his name, but he didn't mind offering it. "I'm Phoenix." |

You're welcome, brother. Hearing the mention of the carriages, she ended up sitting up and swinging her legs down, mouth opening in a small O. "Weren't those SO cool? Although I think I might have liked the boat ride more. It felt proper pirate-y. She'd been a big fan of that. It was too bad they wouldn't get to ride them again all the way across the lake until seventh year! "Isn't being able to sneak food out of the great hall the BEST?" Although, the kitchens were also an excellent alternative. It was just too bad they were SO far away. From allllllll the way up in the Gryffindor tower to the lower levels just took way too much time. "WAIT. Do you know if we're allowed to ride brooms inside the castle? I mean... that seems an easier way to get from up to down!" Or vice versa. Maybe she should ask a Professor! Or.... maybe she should ask forgiveness instead of permission. "Hi Phoenix!" That was a cool name! And maybe something she'd actually be able to remember. "I'm really bad with names, but I'll try to not forget it." Probably again. |
