 If you want to be the last to leave or want to hang with the more rowdy crowd, then the back passenger cars of the train are for you. Just like the other cars, a long corridor provides access to the many compartments, each labelled with a letter, available for you and your friends to hunker down in until the train has come to a complete stop. Cushioned seats and large windows, allowing perfect views of the British scenery on your journey, await.
Well, what are you waiting for? Slide open a compartment door and make yourself at home. Place any of your belongings not in the luggage car on the racks above you. Chat with your friends about what you did this summer, enjoy munching on the snacks you bought from the trolley lady, get ahead of the game by reading your textbooks, or take a long nap as the train travels over numerous hills and mountainsides. Whatever you do, exhibit your best behaviour -- the prefects will be regularly patrolling the corridors and poking their heads inside your compartment to make sure you are doing so.

"Go." Sir Mordred the owl flew off of Enzo's shoulders as soon as they boarded the Hogwarts Express. The boy eyed his owl as it zoomed past students and back towards the back cars, entering what he presumed was an empty compartment. The second year Slytherin made a beeline towards the trolley first to get himself an ice cold pumpkin juice and a couple of cauldron cakes for the long ride towards Hogwarts.
With his snack and drink, and one of Catherine's books tucked under his arm, Enzo quietly headed to where Sir Mordred flew off too, and checked each compartment for him. Chuffed to find his owl companion at the very back of the train, Enzo closed the compartment door behind him, and made himself comfortable in one of the plush seats, and placed his snacks by the window for consumption later. The second year sighed, mildly annoyed that summer was officially over, and that his chess campaign for that summer didn't end on a high note. He thought he needed more work for his next tournament, but for now, he'd settle for a little break and learn other fascinating stuff.. like wandlore.

Sometimes she found herself wondering if she ought to be a bit more like Michael and request to attend a different school as well. Though she had little desire to follow him to America, there was a small tickle at prolonging her schooling at Himitsumahou instead of only the summer months. Though...she would then have to endure Yukie at a whole other extreme and she already found her quota for her sister's affections overwhelmed as things stood now. Hogwarts was fine.
It had Mercer. It had her little spectre.
It was fine.
Fine like the humming sound coming from Pistachio as they perched on her shoulder and attempted to nuzzle closer to her neck.
Tossing salt at an owl that went zipping through the corridor, she found herself wondering just who was irresponsible enough to let their owl out in such confined and crowded quarters. Sensing something amiss in the air, her hand had slipped into her pocket for a fistful of salt which she then allowed to trickle out of her hands on the floor as she walked through the back cars when she spotted the familiar face of Enzo - though he too would likely be more pleased to see a different Rasting lurking outside his compartment.
And lurk, or rather loom is what she did. Studying him curiously as he sat and with her own train snack wrapped in her black furoshiki with geometric shapes adorning it.

Having put his trunk in the luggage compartment, Daniel moved through the train’s hallway in search of a compartment to sit in. Holding a book in one hand to read during the ride to Hogwarts, the Hufflepuff lazily moved out of the way as an owl flew past him.
It took a while, but he managed to find a compartment that was void of other people and as he entered the small room, he shut the sliding door behind him. He lay down on the seat on the right, his face in the direction of the window so that he could look outside at the sky every once in a while. All he wanted for this train ride was to quietly read his book without interruption.

She was walking along when she noticed someone that she had seen last year in her first year at the school, it had been awhile but she still recognised him.
"Hi, do you mind if I sit here with you?" She asked him, she wasn't sure if he would remember her so now she decided that she would ask, it was only polite right and the right thing to do.
