Default Girls Dorm

Once you've went through the common room you find yourself entering a round opening in the back wall. This will take you through a tunnel and out to the girls dorms. The dorms are set up by year and signs marking which one is which. As you enter into your room you will find a nice warm honey color on the walls with large four poster beds neatly in a room on each side of the room. The beds are neatly made with warm comforters and quilts. Whether you are ready to sleep, trying to study, or hanging out with dorm mates the girls dorms are a a perfect place for a badger to be.

The best thing about wizard school, compared to Muggle school, were the increased number of practical activities to be graded on. Charms, transfiguration, anything with spellwork, she was fine at. Sure, she had to practice, but that was no problem.

It was history of magic that Margaret really, truly, struggled with. And that was why she was sprawled on the floor of the fifth year girls' dorm, history of magic textbook propped open in front of her and four years' worth of notes spread out. Hopefully none of her dormmates would need to get through. She was very focused on studying for her OWLs, already. She had to figure out how to remember all this. She really didn't want to tell her pa, her wonderful, smart, brainy pa, that she'd failed a history exam. Even if it wasn't history he knew, he'd still be disappointed.

And she didn't want to be a disappointment.

OWL studies had begun in full earnest, and Cailyn rather expected two things. One, that her dormmates weren’t surprised in the least by the stacks of library books that were almost always near her bed, and two, she likely would end up doing better in certain subjects. Not that she was particularly bad with the practical lessons. She just sometimes did better with the theoretical ones.

Hence why she had offered to help her dormmates with those subjects, especially History of Magic. Therefore, it hadn’t come as a surprise to see the title of the book Margaret had propped in front of herself as she had arrived in the dorm, even as she had carefully stepped around the notes to perch on her own bed. “Did you want some help?,” she offered, rolling over to lay on her stomach and facing her friend. Maybe it would be accepted when it was right in front of her.

On a normal day, Margaret would be thrilled for the distraction provided by her dormmate. But today she was stressed. Today she wasn't ready to be distracted from her studying. Did she want some help? "Yes, please," she said, gesturing to her notes. "Can you quiz me on the goblin rebellions?"

She pushed herself to her knees and stacked up a few pages of notes. Scooting over toward Cailyn's bed, she held them out hopefully. Did Cailyn need them? Or did she just...know things?
