Eden sat comfortably in a navy-blue armchair in one of the more obscured nooks of her commonroom. It was a good spot for her needs - there was a small coffee table, and a chair just like hers for the first year she was waiting on to sit in.

A lone, innocent-looking china teacup sat on the table in front of her. A galleon sat heavy in the pocket of her skirt. A thick, well-worn notebook was perched in her lap. And she waited.

"Hey Eden," Ruari said, slipping into the seat across from the elder girl with a clear sense of purpose. His large green eyes shifting from the teacup to the galleon to the witch and back again with clear excitement.

"Is- is that it?" The boy said, switching his voice to a whisper, and a hand cupped around his mouth lest anyone was listening in, this was a very cool, very hush-hush operation and he wasn't going to be the one to blow the lid off it.

"Hello, Fuller-Thompson," Eden greeted with a tight smile.

This was so, so, so wrong.

So wrong. But that was okay. She'd been getting harassed by cult members at this one's age. A little bit of experimenting wasn't cause for concern. He'd be fine - by the look in his eyes, he was glad for this opportunity.

Amazing.

"That is," Eden looked into the younger student's eyes with grave seriousness, "a cup of tea." One going cold, if the lack of steam was anything to go by.

She pulled a neat, unfolded length of parchment from the inside of her robe. A basic waiver of liability. "I'll add the potion once you sign this." She helpfully offered him a ballpoint pen.

"right, right." Ruari recovered cooly, plucking a non-existent piece of fluff from his clothes as he resettled into the chair. He knew, of course, that Eden could have picked anyone for this experiment but he was very glad she'd picked him. a) because he was dying to see what he'd look like when he got older, and b) because the third year was aloof, mysterious and older - aka cool and any chance he had to be noticed by an older kid was a chance he'd take.


Reaching across the table, Ruari surveyed the cup of cool tea and promptly made a face. "I don't drink cold tea. Heat It up." He said, setting the cup back down and taking, instead, the parchment and pen, which he promptly clicked over and over. Now Ruari wasn't a total git, he knew better than to sign something without reading it, so he did just dat. he sat back and began reading it through.

"I'll heat it up once you sign, " Eden countered. It was a very simple waiver stating that Ruari was drinking a potion that had not been tested enough to know exactly what would happen when he drank it. By signing it, Ruari also promised not to have consumed any other potions in the past 72 hours.

"It's an aging potion, but with a modified recipe. It should wear off in a little over an hour. It might make you a little taller, but not your full adult height, since there's no way for it to know that."

Hopefully other occupants of the tower could mind their business.

She took the galleon out and set it on the table. The potion remained on her person.

Misa set down a plate of cookies on a small table and settled in a nearby chair. She draped a blanket over her legs before helping herself to a cookie and cracking open her poetry book. There was nothing better than nice and cozy reading time with a snack to end the day.

Ash was nearly done with her daily routine. She was done with emailing her boyfriend, and eating dinner, and homework and everything. But it wasn't quite time to take her potions yet, so she was chilling out in the common room. Already in a very soft and cozy nightgown and with a blanket around her shoulders, she flopped down on the couch to read to herself. In the evenings, she liked to take a break from serious books and read fairy tales.

She actually wrote the fairy tale she was reading. It was unnamed, but the plot ended with 'goldilocks pays property damages to the three bears'. It was a great fairy tale, thank you very much.

As Ash was taking out her story to read, she noticed that Misa was here reading too! "Hi," she said softly. Maybe Misa didn't want to be disturbed.

Misa looked up and offered Ash a small smile. "Cookie?" she asked motioning to the plate. "I like to eat them while I read." she explained. "There's just something comforting about a warm cookie and a book."
