| | Herbology Lesson 2: Planting Hope Despite the gorgeous day outside, everything feels bleak and June Flamsteed is trying but barely able to fake a smile as she waits for you outside Greenhouse One.
There is a patch of beautiful flowers behind her, colours of almost every kind - Professor June has been planting them for some time now and they have grown enough for her to share them with you.
Settle down on one of the stools placed without much thought around the area, class will begin soon. OOC: Hello. First and foremost, please accept my apologies for my last lesson. A dear family member fell sick and I was unable to continue my class. Hoping to have better luck this time! Lets have some fun, and oh - hope you have read the rules! Now that Dahlia had her small little arrangement of flowers all set up thanks to that nice little handy spell, it was time to get them into the dirt. Taking careful hold of the bouquet, not wanting to squish them or mess them up, she made her way over to a little spot of dirt that wasn't being used.
Kneeling down in the dirt and setting the flowers down beside her, she got to work. Not at all worried about getting dirty the eleven year old used her hands to dig a hole in the dirt large enough to fit the flowers. Once that had been done, Lia set the flowers down into the hole, holding them in place with one hand, while using her other to push the dug up dirt back into the hole. Gently patting down the dirt afterwards.
Sitting back on her heels, Dahlia studied her work. All in all, she thought she did pretty well. Hopefully the flowers felt the same way and would thrive in their new location.

Violet wasn't sure if her attempt at the new spell was doing anything or not--it was hard to tell with fennel flowers. Well, it was really an herb more than a flower, wasn't it? Maybe the yellow flowers were standing up straighter? Or arranged into a more symmetrical circle around the central stalk? Anyway, the plant definitely looked healthy, so she dug a place for it in the ground, breaking up the earth inside the hole with her fingers, and then carefully laid the roots of the plant in and gently covered them back up. She stood back to admire her work--it was a pretty plant, even if it didn't really look like a florist's bouquet.

| Lovely™ | Captain Hurted | Ariana's Bane | Resident Antagonist | Unparalleled Delight This was, quite possibly, the most pointless lesson Nemesis had ever attended, and that really was saying something. Herbology was bad enough, but still had more than enough uses for them to continue engaging with it. But flowers, not even with a focus on their use as an ingredient or remedy, but for the sake of hope, decoration too, just pointless. The fact they'd ended up near Williamson's hut was ultimately the final nail in the coffin.
What had Flamsteed said? Focus on channelling the feeling. Use the energy for the plants. If she believed that made any sort of difference, then she had no place to argue with Nem's decision to sit this one out. For the plants, or whatever. Wasn't a spell they had any interest in learning anyway, nor did they have any use for it.
Ditching the chrysanthemum in the dirt by the nearest student, Nem retraced their steps, heading back for the flower patch via the greenhouse.

| *sappysapper* MAJNOO, YO! Pointless to some, but meaningful to others. It was all about perspective. A belief June held above everything else as she made her rounds watching everyone work. It was especially interesting to see the places each of them picked. Their compassion was a remarkable thing to witness.
Stopping by Miss Blaze, she bend down and observed her flowers and gave her an appreciative nod, "excellent work" she commented before moving on to Miss Donovon and Miss Sinclair. They were really great at this, did they know? "Very well done, guys"
June wasn't sure about the kids but just seeing them work like this was lifting her spirits.
Speaking of, walking over to Miss Blackthorne - the brunette noticed exactly how tense the young girl's shoulders were. "Good attempt, Violet. Now - take a deep breath and then try again." she smiled at the girl.
Onto Miss James next, June walked over to her chosen place and sat down next to the girl as well, before adding and helping her with the digging - "just a little bit more and a bit wider" Once satisfied, she got up again but not before whispering quickly to her, "don't forget to take some for yourself, Miss James"
Noticing Miss Summers assisting Atlas, June figured she could get to them in a bit. It looked like the older girl had things in control.
Speaking of control, it was quite something to watch Mr Jones work. No doubt his place of choice said a lot too. Quiet in her movements, June stood nearby and simply watched him for a bit - letting him get there on his own. And he certainly did. As the boy arranged the flowers, June walked over and gave him an appreciative pat on the back, "well done, Mr Jones"
Taking a deep breath and not lingering as much, June waited a bit before looking at her watch, "alright guys, lets wrap up quickly, time is almost up"
OOC: Thank you for this awesome lesson, guys! Time is almost up. I'll be closing the thread in a couple of hours. You can have your characters wrap up the activity <3

Violet did try again, after following the suggestion to take a deep breath. She tried to relax as well--after all, this wasn't a matter of life or death (she hoped--plants could die, after all). Eventually she did get her flowers to look vastly improved, though she didn't think they were quite ready for a florist's shop yet. But at least they were alive and healthy looking, so that was probably the best she could do for now. And she still had those leaves and flowers in her pocket--they would probably be useful for something or other. You never knew.
Gathering her school things, Violet got ready to leave the class, which also meant having to give up her wand to some random thug and return to the depths of the sub-dungeons. But oddly, this reality didn't depress Violet as much as usual. Hope was in the air--quite literally, she thought, as a gentle breeze wafted some of the flowers' fragrance toward them.
