Lilith had been quietly waiting for whatever was to come next. She had missed the last CoMC lesson because...well...she hadn't felt well. The type where no food would stay down. Not even water. Today...was a bad day to join. A little sick to her stomach, she took in a few deep breaths. She's traveled by portkeys many times. This wasn't something new. Which is why she was dreading it. There was only a slice of toast and some green ginger tea in her stomach. Welp. Lets hope that doesn't come back up. Touching the old boot, Lilith shut her eyes closed and willed her brain to remain grounded. Grounded, grounded, grounded. |
Muggleborns with Pitchforks catching up and then swirling out. Look if Moose could choose to not go to these Care of Magical Creature classes he would, but this was field trip and any opportunity to get the hell out of this Castle was one he would not take. He was forced to huddle around some of the other Muggle-Borns. The two Ravenclaw first years he was becoming more familiar with as well as that older Hufflepuff and Mamie. He was sure there was a reason they were all forced to be together. It was obvious really this whole year made things plainly obvious that wizards and witches are the worst. More so than last term. He still knew nearly next to nothing about Dragons so maybe this would be a helpful trip he kept quiet while everyone was answering the questions and even took a momentary step away from Minjae after the Hooded figures decided to blast him backwards. Then came time for the travel...Moose hated this...so much...He huddled back in with the rest of the sheep for slaughter and SWIRLYSWOOSH HE WAS OUT. |
Dahlia listened quietly to everything that Williamson said and well... didn't say. The look in his eyes and the tone of his voice told her that he couldn't believe everything he was saying. Like the rest of them, he was saying what he knew the Evil Minions wanted to hear. Traveling by portkey was NOT her preferred method of travel. There had been several times where she had experienced such travel and well... it was always unpleasant. However the knowledge of getting to see dragons outweighed anything else she was thinking about portkey travel. With a quick glance at the others in their little first year group, Dahlia reached out and grabbed hold of the tea kettle. Instantly she felt that pull deep down in her stomach and her feet leaving solid ground, everything became and blur. She was on her way. |
portkey catchup cause we slow cause we were stuck at work for 24+ hours :3 Tire grp! Okayyyy sooo Williamson didn't seem overly impressed with his knowledge of the Vipertooth?? But moving on because they were apparently portkeying over to Wales?? Portkeys wasn't a new method of travel for Apollo, given his mother's occupation and he wondered briefly if it was her who had authorized all these portkeys. And if she had, then that had to mean she knew some of the happenings at Hogwarts. If she did, what did she think about this talk? He wished he could have written her to talk to her, but at least taking a portkey from the castle made him feel closer to her. Connected. Like everything was going to be okay. He glanced over at Nem and Kinsey to seem the kneeling on one knee, hooking their fingers around the tire. As the youngest in the group, Apollo figured following their lead was probably for the best. The young gryffindor kneeled down, closing his eyes in his way to sort of hope this field trip was for the best and vaguely wondered if he'd see his great uncle Alex there, as he knew he worked something with creatures. Seeing family might be just the sort of light he needed. And then before he knew it, everything became a blur and he was gone with the others. |
returning Mamie landed hard with their portkey, basically face-first on the ground as she dropped her hold on both the portkey and Moose's hand. She felt dizzy. She felt nauseous. Not motion-sick-nauseous, she didn't get that, but like...like she had both eaten too much and not enough, and she was definitely not getting up from the ground right away this time. Nice, cold ground. Mamie held on tight to the grass and squeezed her eyes shut. Were the dragons gone? Was she still alive? |

Returning w/ Mamie & Ash With a loud thud to the floor Moose took a moment to try and stand but couldn't he got on all fours and the proceeded to spit up a ton of watery bile. The stress of the moment while there added with the portkey travel was gonna do that too him. The quiet was calming though. Or well it was once the ringing in his ears had stopped, and only once Ash stopped called for Mamie to wake up. As he stood up and looked over toward the two girls. Ash still attending to Mamie, and looked around. "No." Was all he muttered. Then he started to pace. This was some kind of trick. Williamson said he was sending them home! Hogwarts was not home! This place was Hell!! Sure at this very moment it was better than a chaotic dragon freeing, spell slinging field trip that could have killed him. But he could very well end up just as dead here! He was furious. He was lied to! He needed to vent this frustration. He switched his pacing into a straight line toward one of the fence posts and just starting kicking at it. Hard. Break the damn thing if he could with his scrawny legs. |
Returning (with Cece) Fiona had landed on her knees with a slight thud. Thanks to her landing, her knees were now a tad sore. She stood up and brushed herself off, looking to see if Cece had landed okay. She was also waiting for her fellow Snakettes to arrive. It had certainly been a day full of chaos and Fiona was wondering if there were any ramifications thanks to certain parties (aka the hooded figures). |
Returning from field trip Heath landed on his back with a thud. He was just gonna… lie here for a minute until his heart stopped pounding and the wave of nausea subsided. What was wrong with him? He hadn't had this strong a reaction to portkey travel since he was little! Then again, maybe it wasn't the portkey travel but the day itself that made him feel so weak! He closed his eyes, hoping that would stop the dizziness, but he could still see the dragons flying, fires burning, spells shooting off in random directions… This was no good! Gradually he was able to get into a sitting position, then a standing one. Shaking his long dark hair out of his face, he looked around, and his eyes were drawn to the castle in the distance. He never thought he'd be so glad to see Hogwarts! Even with Rosier and his minions, the school felt safer than the field trip. At least he didn't have to worry about getting burned or eaten by dragons here! |

She pointed at the Slytherin second year, looking hopefully at Ashley. Maybe the other, stronger girl could calm him down? She needed to just rest a little longer. Dragons were scary. Frankly, the Hood Squad was less scary. They could at least be theoretically reasoned with. |
pretend she portkey'd in with somebody? she's near muggleborns Things Eden wasn't a fan of:
So when she landed roughly (and nauseatingly, but nothing came up this time) on the hard earth near her muggleborn peers? Yeah, she was already angry. 100 percent with Moose, this one was - this place SUCKED. Her entire body ached - from anxiety, portkey, or pandemonium, who knew. What happened to freeing herself? (Being 12 years old happened. Sigh.) She plopped on the ground with her legs outstretched and began listening to the conversations taking place around her. She found a little comfort in seeing all of her friends in one piece - Mamie was sitting up, which was definitely a good sign. She opened her mouth to speak, then shut it. And laid down in the grass. At least the sky was pretty. |
Mamie was still down. And now Eden was too(did every Muggleborn in the world need to risk their lives doing that?) And Moose was kicking a fence. That was even worse. She knew how it felt. She had done the same, privately. But now really wasn't the time. She looked all calm and stuff. Had she been in one of her angry bad moods, she would have been kicking stuff too. But nah. She was in one of her hopeless bad moods, the other kind, the safer kind. The worst kind. She stepped over to him. "Moose." She wanted to say 'it's okay, calm down'. But that was a lie, and he would end up punching her in the face anyway. "You'll get hurt if you keep doing that. Maybe save the kicking stuff for a quieter time. A quieter room, more like. We're muggleborns, we need to watch how we act extra." She said it softly, empathetically, calmly. How she would want someone to talk to her if she were angry. Which she was a lot. C'mon Moose. Don't let the hoodie cult catch you like this."Are you upset because we're back at Hogwarts?" He probably was. They had a chance to escape, but they couldn't. But she wasn't mad. She had known from the second she got to the field trip that there was no way out of Hogwarts. Unless she were to step out of line and be murdered. And that wasn't a option. She was just disappointed. In herself, in her life, in the world, in other people. If just one of those things went right, she would be okay. Just one of them. |
Never in her life had Ingrid grasped hard at something than she did the robes of her travelling friends through the portkey jump. Despite coming from a magical background for the most part, travelling by portkey still wasn’t something she had managed to master. Landing with a thump, the youngest of the Luck’s landed splayed across the hard ground as though she was doing some kind of weird yoga stretch. With a groan she turned over onto her back and sat up slowly, hair everywhere as if she’d actually tussled with a dragon. Oh, wait… “Guys…are you okay?”, she moaned, as she looked around for Kinsay and the older boy. God she felt so embarrassed on the floor whilst he stood there like a muggle superhero carrying Kinsay. Blushing, she jumped up quickly and did her best to make herself not look like Cousin itt and lurched over to her friend. “Do you think she’ll be okay?” she asked the older boy? (Flynn). One day, she’d have to get his name, or you know, make up a nickname for him. |
Her landing was much harder than it had been when she'd arrived at the dragon reserve however long ago. Ivy stumbled and fell onto her side with an "oof!", rolling once when she hit the ground. It hurt a little, but it also kinda helped settle the nausea that had returned. The stable ground beneath her helped to, well, ground her again after that portkey trip. She didn't stay down for long though, releasing her hold on the branch and slowly pushing herself onto her knees then to her feet. Looking around as other students were popping up, she...sighed. They'd been so close...and yet here they were with, for all she knew, no more help than they'd had before the trip. Her grip on her wand tightened, but she just continued to silently watch her peers, not trusting herself to say anything right now. |

"Um...." Who was okay? Was ANYONE? Ignoring the pain of the stinging hex welt, he carefully put Kinsay down and then looked at Apollo and what was the other girl's name? Dahlia? Where had she even come from? She looked pretty bad though. Flynn focused his attention on Kinsay first. "Kins?" Flynn gently patted her cheek, hoping she would come round easily. The only good thing about all of this was somehow he wasn't lost in the mire of his past traumas, his brain was too full of worry for Kinsay. And he didn't notice the tears still freely streaming down his cheeks. |
SPOILER!!: Ingrid, Flynn, Apollo, Dahlia Kinsay slowly stirred back into consciousness. It was Flynn's touch that prompted her to finally open her eyes. ".... Flynn?" No longer surrounded by nightmarish noise, Kinsay could finally feel her head pounding. She was so confused. Where were the dragons? Why was she on the floor? "Are we home, Flynn?" Were they rescued? Was this nightmare finally over? Kinsay had such little energy left in her that she could have very well collapsed all over again. She didn't do that, of course. Instead, she tried to understand what was going on, but the only sense of familiarity she could grasp at were the others near them (Ingrid, Apollo, Dahlia). |
Hi. We're back ^_^ Claudine was relieved to make it back. That relief quickly evaporated as she looked around for Heath.“Please tell me he made it back in one piece,’’ she mumbled to herself. She scrubbed at her eyes, tired and weary from the entire ordeal. Had her group members arrived back as well? The question had just occurred to her when she felt the anxiety starting to well up. Okay, so there had been anxiety earlier at the Reserve but now? Now it was beginning to get out of hand. The fifth year willed herself to take deep breaths. One...two… Oh Merlin. She needed Heath, or anybody she was friendly with really, but mostly him. He was the only one who could keep her grounded for Claudine was close to having a panic attack. |
[spoiler="Flynn, Kins, Dahlia, Ingrid, ...."] Quote:

"Bruised ribs likely, but I think .....I'm.... " He rolled over to hurl onto the grass, realizing he hadn't vomited from a portkey in years. He pulled himself up into a seated position, releasing Dahlia's hand. "Is she..." They didn't bring a dead person back, hopefully. He watched and waited, glancing over at Kinsay and shook his head at her question, even though it hadn't been directed at him. Hogwarts wasn't home. Not in the way his family had described. He wasn't particularly sure where home was actually. |
Nice running into you, Claudine! Quote:
"Were you looking for Heath? He was helping a girl who'd sprained her ankle get to the portkeys. I saw him grab one before I left," Violet said, trying to sound reassuring. |
Apollo, Flynn, Kinsay That portkey landing was anything but graceful, not that the still unconscious Dahlia noticed. When Apollo hit the ground upon landing, the little first year which so happened to be Lia, hit the ground hard beside him. It was more of a faceplant to the ground but that didn't even matter because she didn't know. Perhaps the landing did a little bit of good. The impact of hitting the ground knocked the wind out of her causing her eyes to fly open with a deep painful gasp. Frightened blue eyes first noticed Apollo who was sitting closest to her. She didn't move from where she had fallen but she did turn her head to the side, groaning quietly. Everything hurt, there was noway she was getting up anytime soon. From where she was laying, it was clear she hadn't become dragon food. She could see Flynn and Kinsay but heard nothing they had said. Where were they? Where was she? Could she go home now? |
A whole lot of mentions (Flynn, Kinsay, Apollo and Dahlia) It had almost taken a moment for her to actually realise that she could talk but the shock of it had washed over her face for a moment only to be replaced by a mixture of angst and worry. “Kinsay of course” she whispered as she leant over them both, her eyes slightly wet now. Had it not been for her worry, she may have actually passed out herself, so much so that she hadn’t even noticed the sudden appearance of Apollo or Dahlia. Briefly, she cast a small glance over to them both to make sure that they were okay but she couldn’t quite tell. Apollo seemed to be in some kind of pain and then there was Dahlia who seemed to be almost as bad as Kinsay. Biting the inside of her mouth, she was about to move from Kinsay when suddenly, she mumbled something to the boy, Flynn! He had a name! Sighing with relief, the second year Ravenclaw made her way over to Dahlia to check she was okay. Ravenclaws had to stick together after all. “Apollo, are you okay? Did you see what happened to Dahlia?” she asked as she stumbled past him quickly and over to the side of Dahlia. “Dahlia, it’s Ingrid. You’re safe. We’re back at Hogwarts”, she continued now as she settled by the side of her. Surely the Professor would be around soon to check on them all? That was, if he was even back. |
SPOILER!!: Vi! <3 Claudine barely held it together to even register the fact that she’d been bumped into. All the chaos that they had endured had been quite something. She heard the voice speaking to her and latched onto it. It was a familiar voice, the voice of someone she was friendly with. There were a few more deep breaths taken before she was actually able to focus on Violet. And she had news of Heath. “I’ll be okay, thanks.’’ Maybe. All she needed was to focus; to pull herself together. Claudine Blaze did not lose control. Not really. “Yes, I was.’’ Oh. Of course Heath was playing the hero. At least she knew he had grabbed a Portkey. That meant he must be somewhere around. The Snakette could breathe a little normally now. “Thank, Violet. That helps a lot. Are you okay? Don’t need to see Reccard, do you?” |
Claudine, mention of Louise & Heath Quote:
She felt relieved to have returned mostly unscathed, but also felt depressed. They had been outside Hogwarts, sort of free briefly, but had been unable to do anything other than return to this place which seemed more like a prison than a school. She wondered what sort of trouble there would be if their keepers didn't think they'd followed their orders to release the dragons vigorously enough. Fine for them--sending a bunch of schoolchildren to deal with dragons, of all things. Violet hadn't seen any of the hooded figures bothering to get very close to the creatures; oh no, they just hung back and shouted and let other people take the risks. |
Quote:
She blinked her eyes once more to show that she did actually hear what was being said. There was still no intention at all on moving. So please don't even ask her to do so right now. |
