Did you make it to Transfiguration okay? Did you remember the w ay here from breakfast? Hopefully everyone managed to cluster together and get here without too much painstaking wrong turns or moving staircases (they had put the Professor in entirely the wrong place yesterday, so he understood).
Making your way into the classroom today, you will find that the Professor has been busy since the end of classes yesterday. He’s stacked all of the chairs into a few piles at the side of the room and tables are all against the walls to clear the middle of the room. Professor Eris has borrowed some of the defense mats and most of the floor has been covered in the softer surface.
Carwyn’s desk is still in front of the blackboard although right now said board doesn’t have anything written on it. There is a very big, tumbling stack of random and very unmatching pillows on the left hand side of his desk; you might recognise some of them from your common rooms as he had to get a few more for class this morning. On the right hand side of the desk is a pile of rope that is very much unorganised because he ran out of time to sort it after the trips to the common rooms.
“Good morning, come on in. Come on it.” He looked at his watch for the second time to make sure that it was indeed morning [just after breakfast to be exact] and looked at the piece of paper on the desk again to make sure he knew what he was meant to be teaching today. ……. Did he have everything?
“Store your things in the ….” what was it called again?” The Professor motioned towards the back of the classroom, and the cubby spaces they all used every lesson. “Uh- just store your things, including your wand and your robes.” He scratched his beard as he tried to think what it was called. "And then find a space." Yeah, that would do it.
OOC: Hi! And welcome to the second OOC class of term. We are mid-way through March annnd everyone has just come from breakfast - so feel free to use that information as you will hehe.
I'll be moving on in 22-25 hours, so come on in and get ready to have some funn!

Despite being detoured to the wrong floor because she had forgotten her crude map, she was surprised to see that she was still early.

Well, she had been heading to the Great Hall in order to get breakfast. Or was it second breakfast? Who knew anymore since she couldn't even remember that small fact anymore. She didn't think she was hungry, so maybe? Either way, she had noticed students leaving the hall and looking like they were prepared for class, so she had revised her plans and followed along after everyone lest she forget or get lost later.
Which, following others didn't seem to save her too much from getting lost, but at least it appeared they were at the right class now. Transfiguration today, was it? She'd managed to leave her text up in her dorm, so she just hoped that it would not be needed. Making her way into the class, she smiled at the translucent resemblance of Professor Eris. "Good morning, Professor." Before doing as instructed and storing all of her belongings, including her robes, into a random cubby. Merlin, she hoped she'd be able to remember those later at the end of class.
She found herself a spot off to the side to stand and wait until class began.

Minjae had not even taken his wand with him today. Though not on purpose. He had forgotten about it and it was still in his dormitory. But the wand didn't work anyway so what was the point of getting it?
The teenager entered the classroom with his hands in his pants pockets and although he wore his Hufflepuff uniform, the tie was missing. It had been missing for quite some time now and every time he went to the laundry room to grab an extra spare one he forgot what he was doing in there.
"Hi Professor" What's-his-name? Just Professor for now. He gave a smile before moving to the back when the man had told them to put away their stuff. Once he was finished, his dark brown eyes went to the stack of pillows some of which he recognized from his own common room and walked towards it before jumped on top, making himself comfortable.
Hey, he had said 'find a space' he never said to 'stand somewhere' .

Nina hugged her robes around her body as she made it to class. Everyone else was transparent too, but she still felt very self conscious about it. She also felt very self conscious about her memory or... lack thereof. Everything was awful. She was bound to fail exams and never get into her dream uni. Which is why she had made it a habit to take notes of ABSOLUTELY EVERYTHING they went over in every single class.
She quickly made her way into the room, moving towards the cubbies and (reluctantly) parting ways with her robe and her wand. Only then did she pull out her notebook and quill before making way to a spot nearest the back wall. She didn't say anything to Professor Eris, but she did give him a polite nod in acknowledgement. Nothing out of the ordinary here.

Jumping jawas, it felt so odd to have transfiguration class when they couldn’t actually transfigure anything! No matter how long it had been since they lost magic, that was something Heath would never get used to! Wait, he was supposed to be in transfiguration and not charms, right? He knew it was one of the classes that generally involved wandwork, but he’d misplaced the piece of paper where he’d written his schedule so he couldn’t be sure. He was relieved to hear the professor’s greeting; that meant he had to be in the right place! Good, now he wouldn’t have to run down several flights of stairs to make it to charms on time… or up, whichever way it was.
“Hello, Professor,” Heath greeted, nervously tugging at his sleeves as he entered the room. He’d grown since the start of the term, so his sleeves now ended a few inches above his wrists. Hopefully the professor wouldn’t notice and dock points for him being out of uniform! It wasn’t his fault! It wasn’t as if he could just magic them longer or owl his mum to send him a larger uniform, not when there was no magic or contact with the outside world.
So they didn’t need their robes today? Well, that was going to make his sleeve situation a lot harder to hide, but okay. Heath beelined for the back of the room, storing his things in the nearest empty cubby. With everything safely put away, he moved to a space toward the middle of the room, standing with his hands behind his back as he waited for the lesson to begin.

He smiled back, almost happier that she hadn’t said anything because right now - he couldn’t come up with her name either. Cassie? Casso? Castro? Hmm… Nope. Names just were not important enough right now to worry about - his lesson plan was taking up so much more of his brain power. He gave her a smile and a nod of his head in recognition and then went back to welcoming the class.

“Ah Mr Janes, good morning. Good morning.” The Professor smiled at the Ravenclaw and nodded. Come on in, that’s it. He nodded as he watched everyone storing their things and silently hoped they all remembered where they had put their things, because he certainly didn’t know… Whoops Maybe he should have let them name tags.
After everyone arrived, Carwyn gave one quick check up and down the corridor before he shut the door behind him. “I think we will get our blood pumping first today.” The older Professor told them, nodding his head a little to himself - as if he thought that was a fabulous idea and it over rode anything he had been thinking of starting with.
“Let’s make sure that our brains are awake and we aren’t too sleepy after that -” he couldn’t remember which meal they just ate so -”food.” He smiled at them all though, paper in hand. “Don’t worry, it won’t be anyyything strenuous - Healer” Pausing, he tried to come up with her last name, he knew her name was Cabbie! But gave up after a second or two -” would have my head if you turned up sick after my class!” He chucked,
“Let’s start off with a nice leisurely walk… Clockwise way around the room.” He motioned with his hand around the room as he looked down at his lesson plan. He walked quickly between three students and stood in the middle of the students who were walking around the classroom. “Keep going, thats it - and when I call out, we will change what we are doing and wake us up properly!” See, perfect plan.

...Akstren? K had to bite to keep her lip from chucking, because that was most definitely not her name. In fact, she wondered if it was a name at all but then again she also usually puzzled over that with her actual surname but yet... Here they were. She could see Professor Eris seemed to doubt what he'd called her, and while she couldn't hear she wondered if his muttering was other attempts at her last name. "Amstern, sir." She returned his smile, not correcting out of spite or annoyance just for knowledge purposes!
She did give the tiniest of chuckles watching Minjae bounce onto the pillow pile. And while Professor Eris' made it quickly clear that was not a welcome spot at this time, she was rather jealous she had not thought to jump on it first. Because the other Hufflepuff looked quite comfortable!
But she was torn from her current musing on the comfort of a pile of pillows when she heard Professor Eris give the first set of instructions for today's lesson. They would be ... Walking? She smiled slightly to herself, thinking that if exercise in every class was a new side effect of no magic perhaps this wasn't terrible. She started off clockwise, following the other students who had already begun.

Blade? Was Blade her name? Claudine thought for a moment. As far as she could remember, it was definitely something along that line. Then again, the man was her professor; there was no way he could be wrong about her name.
Sleepy? Claudine wasn't sleepy. She wasn't even feeling lazy. Were exercises really necessary? Still, she did as was instructed: a walk around the classroom in a clockwise direction. She fell in step behind the student before her, wondering why so many professors were into physical activities these last few weeks.
They would be walking? In Potions? What a strange way to spend a lesson. Avalon was getting used to the no-magic classes, but walking seemed totally unrelated to Defense Against the Dark Arts. Plus, she wasn't even sleepy today. But she figured that walking around wasn't as boring as reading from a Care of Magical Creatures textbook, so the Ravenclaw shrugged and joined in with the students heading clockwise around the room. It wasn't until she turned the first corner and saw the professor standing in the middle of them that she realized she was actually in Transfiguration class. Ohhhh. This forgetfulness thing was starting to get really annoying.

What was it with the professors nowadays? They were really into exercise. Not that that was a bad thing, but Naya wasn’t always prepared for what they had planned. The upside was, it would definitely help her fitness level. Every little bit helped, right?
Naya started walking in a clockwise direction, along with her classmates. Since it was a leisurely walk, they were going a little slower than she would have liked. Maybe this was a warmup for whatever was coming next. Then she heard the professor say he would soon change what they were doing. She wondered where he was headed with this exercise. She’d just have to wait, walk and find out.

Bernie was confused. Why were they walking in a circle? Was this another one of Schmoe's exercise classes? But that Professor wasn't Schmoe, he was.... he was.... he was definitely somebody's grandpa, that's who he was. She sighed and started walking behind everyone else, because she definitely didn't remember clockwise from anticlockwise but she supposed walking would be fine.
Also she reaaaaaaaaaaaally wanted to dive into that big pile of cushions over there. Huh. One of 'em looked just like her favorite one from the Gryffindor common room! How funny.

Their were walking in circles ......... "Do you and Schmoe lesson plan together?" Blake's mouth reacted out of it's own accord ... he didn't really mean to blurt it out, but what was with all the exercise these professors had going on in their lesson plans. Was this their way of saying the students had all gotten fat??? Blake pinched his stomach a bit to see .... well ... he seemed the same as always ... but ... they were after all moving about a lot in lessons.

Aboli would have been annoyed about this resembling Schmoe's exercise lesson if she remembered that lesson, but no, she was annoyed for them walking at ALL in the beginning of the lesson. You are NOT a brat, you are a MATURE WOMAN... she kept saying the mantra in her head over and over as she started walking, but as SOON as she was out of the professor's line of sight, she HAD to roll her eyes. She needed to. The Slytherin would surely DIE if she didn't get it out of her!
SO here she was...walking around the classroom like some sort of...............weirdo.

Heath blinked, slightly taken aback when the professor called him Janes. That was definitely not his name, but he didn't bother to correct him. Meh… close enough, he guessed. He'd been called a lot worse before. Besides, he was still doing better than most; at least Janes was an actual surname!
His eyes wandered to the pillows at the front of the room. Was he seeing things, or did a few of them look exactly like the ones in the Ravenclaw common room? Never mind, he was probably misremembering. It wouldn't be the first time, nor likely the last. He refocused his attention as the professor spoke, and - Whoa, hold on! They were doing exercise?
Heath did not like the sound of that! The last exercise lesson he'd participated in involved getting wet, singing, and generally looking silly in front of everyone… though maybe this wouldn't be so bad if it was only walking. Which direction were they supposed to go? He couldn't recall if it was clockwise or counterclockwise, so he just followed the others like he usually did when he didn't know what to do. So clockwise it was!

Silently, he pondered where her family had come from… He had never heard of a Grand Family Home being literally called ‘Grandhome’ …. Hmm. Perhaps he should make a note to ask her later. Heath did not like the sound of that! The last exercise lesson he'd participated in involved getting wet, singing, and generally looking silly in front of everyone… though maybe this wouldn't be so bad if it was only walking. Which direction were they supposed to go? He couldn't recall if it was clockwise or counterclockwise, so he just followed the others like he usually did when he didn't know what to do. So clockwise it was!
Good old Jokes getting on with the class. Weren’t his students amazing and super dedicated? Carwyn gave the Ravenclaw a smile as he watched the kid pass him again, before he looked quickly at the paper in his hand.

“Now that we seem to be a bit more awake… Turn around and this time you can do any movement you want…” He couldn’t remember the names for different things, so he showed them. “You could do this…” He skipped a bit around in a circle. “Or this…” This time he went sideways, side-skipping along like he had seen … somewhere - but don’t ask him for specifics. “No running, and be careful to watch where you are going!” He called out… Just in case, he didn’t need accidents. Nooo.
“While you are getting your bodies nice and warmed up - lets get our brains in on the action too.” Merlin knew they all needed any help they could get! Though even with the horrible memory, the Professor was still smiling. "Though, it has to be said you are all looking so much more awake which means we can tackle the first question for today!”
“If you were looking to capture or catch someone, how would you do it?” He turned on the spot, looking around at the moving students. “With or without magic? One answer each, please and be creative! The sky’s the limit!”
Just to feel slightly less silly, the Professor side-skipped… side-stepped… he wasn’t sure what it was called but he moved around the circle as he picked out students to call on. Here’s hoping he got their names right!

They were..... walking?
Nina tried her best not to scowl as she began following the crowd around the room. This was ridiculous. She was perfectly awake! There was literally no need to march around the room. That's why she refused to switch things up when they began walking in the other direction. Nina would be doing none of this, or this, or ~this~. Professor Eris looked ridiculous.
As for catching someone... the question was pretty open ended. Which meant that some of her classmates would likely offer up entirely silly answers. If anyone said 'with a net' they were going to receive the STINK eye from one Nina Castillo. In any case, Nina thought the most important step in capturing was having a plan. Knowing who you were going to capture and approaching it systematically, especially if you were to avoid an attempted escape. She'd also opt for magic as that would be far less work and far more effective. An incarcerous spell would work just fine.

Oh. They were moving on to the next excercise. Student’s choice apparently. Naya decided to do some stretching movements. She lifted her knee to her chest and held it there for several seconds. Then she switched to the other leg. Repeating the stretch several times, she listened to the professor’s question. How would she capture someone?
Naya raised her hand and began to speak. “If I was trying to catch someone, I would try to use the element of surprise. Get them when they least expect it, you know? It helps if you can find out things about your victim. Know their patterns and tendencies. You have to be one step ahead of them.” That is if you had time to plan all of it out. If it was a spur of the moment capture or catch.......well that would be an entirely different thing.

Err... What was those exercise movements? K blinked for a moment, watching Professor Eris demonstrate before giving a small shrug of her shoulders and doing the side skip the Professor had shown. She felt ridiculous but, hey, movement was movement and still nice to do. She liked all of the activity currently happening in her classes.
She paused to focus on the question, raising her hand to offer an answer once called upon. "I'd use a trap. Like someone else said, the element of surprise helps, so perhaps a nice hidden hole in the ground? Covered by a rug clearly so you've got that surprise in there." Not that she was planning anything or.. y'know.

Okay, erm...what was the deal with all the exercising in classes? Isla was energetic enough. She didn't want in circles. She complained inside the silence of her mind, but only because it made her feel better about the walk. She followed the class around and around in the circle formation they'd made. Her mind wandered to everything else but class, too.
Isla was so focused on whatever else was on her mind, that when the person in front of her made an abrupt turn, she almost collided with them. "Oops, sorry...sorry...," she said, turning immediately on her heels and following everybody in the new direction.
Okay, so...if she wanted to catch somebody... "With Wingardium Leviosa!" she said, waving her hand around. Wasn't that the spell you used to catch somebody? Isla couldn't remember, but it sounded about right. "Either that, or you could lure them in by baking cupcakes. That smell always gets me."

Carsyn wasn't exactly sure how she managed to be in Transfiguration today, but then again it seemed as if most days were a process of going through the motions. And constantly checking the parchment in her robe pocket to make sure she was where she was meant to be. Sixth year wasn't supposed to be this challenging, was it? Also, why were they walking around the classroom, the gryffindor was uncertain
If you were looking to capture someone .... how would she do it?? Okay that was a super vague question because Carsyn wanted to know WHY she was catching someone? Did they do something wrong? Did she need to interrogate them for something? Copy their homework? General fighting? Also that younger slytherin girl Isla suggesting baking cupcakes was a sad reminder that baking was a challenge for her these days.
"Well assuming it's in present-day Hogwarts that I need to catch someone, magic would be useless, so it's gotta be without magic. I guess it would depend on who I'm trying to catch, because everyone has different interests. So it could be food or sports or extra credit." Really it depended and there was more information needed.

Just when he had made himself comfortable on the pile of cushions the professor had to ruin his moment by telling him to get up. The Hufflepuff rolled his eyes but got up as told, the cushions toppled over and he stooped down to put them back in their original pile.
It was like some professors shared the same braincell when it came to magic-less classes. Exercise. As if they did not have enough exercise these days. The grand staircase alone was a torture to walk up to get to the lessons up in the towers now that they didn’t move anymore and they could skip a few floors.
The teenager put his hands in his pockets as he walked around the room, following the others. When it was time to turn around, Minjae did and had to hold his laugh when the professor suddenly skipped. With his grey beard he looked like he could be a grandpa so seeing him skip was pretty funny to him. Instead of skipping though, he chose the second option and he began to side-skip cause it looked less ridiculous.
How to capture someone? Minjae listened to some of the responses before giving his own. ”Well, had i been at home I’d tell my father’s guards to catch them." he said. He had done it before. Not him personally but his father. But if he could do it, Minjae could as well since they also listened to him.
Okay for real what were they doing? WHY were they doing this? Aboli scoffed a bit but continued..moving...skipping like Professor Eris has showed them to. She was out of breath and CRANKY now, and she couldn't think of how she would catch someone anyway, especially not with magic.
"MAYBE a giant net, like a fishing one or something. You can set up it up and GET EM," she explained, stopping skipping to give her SUPER smart answer, yeah. Were they going to be discussing the theory of catching someone with magic, then?
Snore snore.
Aboli shot Minjae glance because of THAT answer. His parents had GUARDS?!

Claudine assumed Eris was speaking of the rest of the class for she still felt the same level of awakeness she had when she first stepped into the room. And what now? They had to do movements of their own? Ugh.. Listen, Claudine was not in the mood to get this sort of thing done. Would Eris mind if she just stuck her left leg out and just sort of rolled her foot around by the ankle. Yep. Nothing too strenuous here.
As for that question.. Well, of course she had to think of it but most of what she thought of was already covered by the others. Or at least that was until something else popped into her mind. Claudine’s hand went up. “The Seize and Pull charm, Professor.’’

Bernie almost ran into the person ahead of her (was that Ilya?!) when they suddenly switched directions of walking. WELP. SHE DIDN'T LIKE RUNNING INTO PEOPLE. He was behind her now so... she turned around grumpily stomped after the person ahead of her. Hogwarts without magic sucked, but classes ESPECIALLY sucked. If she'd wanted to live like a Muggle she'd have just gotten herself expelled by now.
So anyway.
"I'd trap 'em, like Ab...Ab...Abby and K...ennifer said, but here's how," she answered when it was her turn. So sorry to the names of the older classmates she was butchering. She could NOT remember anything today. She shoulda had more tea at brekkie.
"First I'd lure them to a room with false pretenses, like telling them they were gonna learn magic and then making all the magic go away, and if that trap alone didn't work and they were STILL around, I'd make them play a silly game like Simon Says or Duck Duck Goose, which is ALSO a trap because then they'd be distracted and walking all around for no reason, and then when THAT didn't work, I'd pull a lever on the wall to open up a big trap door and then they'd fall in and I'd catch 'em. And maybe I'd put a net in the floor to catch 'em, and then I'd crank a DIFFERENT lever and it would raise them up from the floor in a big net. Like bad guys use."
Stomp stomp stomp in a circle. A STUPID circle. This was a TRAP!!! Bernie GLARED at the floor to make sure it didn't look like a disguised trap door but WHO COULD TELL?! She also threw a GLARE up to the ceiling to check for a hidden net. BUT WHO KNEW, it could be invisible, and coulda had a spell put on it from The Times Before We All Lost Magic. WHAT WAS THEIR GRANDA SLASH PROFESSOR UP TO?!! She was Highly Suspicious!!!
