Default Ravenclaw Table

For those who belong in Ravenclaw House, in the middle of the Great Hall is where your table awaits. Blue banners containing an embroidered bronze eagle float above the polished table in honour of the wise Rowena Ravenclaw. Already placed on the tables are silver plates with accompanying cutlery and goblets. All that is missing right now are the mountains of food and pitchers containing your favourite beverages.

Though your stomach might be growing as you take a seat on one of the long benches next to the table, it is important to not get hangry -- gnawing your arm away or jabbing your fork repeatedly on the surface of the table will do no good whatsoever. Give everyone some time to get settled in and wait for Headmaster Trent to deliver his speech. Keep yourself preoccupied by catching up with your fellow housemates or those who are visiting from the other tables until it is time to sink your teeth into the hearty and delicious meal prepared by the house-elves.

There really was something special about being back here, in the middle of the hall, surrounded by his fellow Ravenclaw students. At the beginning of last year, going to a different school and visiting a different country sounded like such an adventure but by the end of the school year, that adventure had fizzled out quicker than a Fizzing Whizzbee.

Looking around now, taking in the familiar visage, he couldn’t help but smile. This was home and he was happy to be back. The hall was even starting to fill up a little now with students taking their seats at the other tables in the hall too. Even the Headmaster was sitting in his seat, eager to start the school year. Ewan couldn’t exactly blame him after all the shenanigans he had to put up with last year. Between the dragon and the trial and then being kicked out of the school, only to be welcomed back after it was brought to light that it wasn’t in fact a Hogwarts student…Well, it was eventful and he had a feeling this year was going to be no different.

Adjusting his prefect’s badge so that it sat straight on his robes, he sat there, waiting for the hall to fill up and for the feast to start.

There was one thing on Whitney's mind as she approached the table that apparently belonged to her new house: gratefulness that that boy that had been running up and down the Hogwarts Express asking if anyone had seen his rats was obviously not a part of Ravenclaw. I mean, who thinks even one rat is an appropriate pet, much less multiple rats? The guy seemed nice enough, but he would forever be on her no/acquaintances list for that.

Enough musing on others' eccentricities. Time to sit down and get to know her new housemates. "Hello," she greeted the only other person currently sitting at the table (Ewan), who appeared to be a prefect. "They could at least provide us with drinks after such a long ride, huh?" Seriously, she was thirsty right now! Wonder if she would get in trouble for a small Aguamenti into her goblet....

Making them wait until the sorting and the speech were over seemed so cruel, just saying.

not throwing away my shot | Slytherpuff | roll for initiative | woof you ❤

Alexandre wasn't really feeling himself this year. For one, he was at Hogwarts all by himself now. Nova had graduated the year before and it would be a few years before Willow was at school with him. He wasn't used to it. Ever since he'd first started Hogwarts his sister had been there with him and it felt weird without her. Even though he'd been away from home for less than a day he missed her. Both of them. Plus, he wasn't sure where exactly where he and Noah stood. They were still best friends but... could their friendship really be the same as it was before the summer? He really really hoped so but wasn't feeling the most confident about that right now. And that made him sad.

He was trying his best to pretend like everything was perfectly normal and fine but it was getting a bit difficult. So instead of joining in on the excited chatter as he normally would, he found a seat at a quieter part of the table to wait for the feast to begin.

curly haired prefect - "sometimes I get angry!" - 30/90 - *chicken emoji* - probably @ Disney - I speak dog

Trinetta was so happy to finally be back in the Great Hall. Honestly, there was just something about this castle that made her feel...well, at home. She took a deep breath as she walked towards the Ravenclaw table and exhaled with a small smile to herself. This was going to be a good year. She could feel it.

She sat down across from Ewan, and her eyes immediately went straight to the badge on his robes. She grinned. "EWAN! I knew it! I knew you'd make prefect!" she said with excitement. She was genuinely, truly happy for her friend. Prefecting had just...not been her thing, and she was eager to see if her prediction for who had gotten HER old badge was true...

"Hello! I'm Trinetta but you can call me Nettie," she said to the girl sitting nearby (lazykitty) and the boy who had also joined them (littledhampier).

Seeing the hall fill up made Ewan’s heart swell a little. While a small smile, the tall Ravenclaw prefect turned to welcome what he assumed was a new arrival because he didn’t recognise her (Whitney). “Hey, I’m Ewan” Never really one for official greetings, he felt a little strange introducing himself like this but whatever. “I don’t really mind. Trust me, if the food is as good as it usually is, you won’t mind waiting” Now that she mentioned it though, the small twang of hunger in his stomach now seemed a little bit more potent. Maybe he should have stored some of his Aunt’s famous white chocolate chip cookies in his school robes. But then again, he was a prefect now so could he really get away with little digressions like that? Maybe he’d test the water a little this year and find out.

“Nettie!” Ewan couldn’t help but smile now as his fellow sixth year joined the table. “That make one of us! I had no idea” Which was very true. He was honestly curious about her badge and why she wasn’t wearing it anymore but he was far too polite to ask, instead settling for a different question instead. “How was your summer anyway?” he continued, his sky-blue eyes glistening with pride over the fact that he, no one else, but he was chosen to succeed Nettie as prefect. What he would have given for his father and mother to see him now...

This would be her home for the next two years! Jina took a seat on the bench and looked around at her new housemates. She thought she should introduce herself to the group first. "Hi, my name is Jina. I am a new sixth year transfer student." She said, smiling widely.

Valencia was excited to be back at school, however, she was a bit uncomfortable sitting at the Ravenclaw table all by herself. She glanced over at the Hufflepuff table. Her brother graduated and she hadn't even been at school for 5 minutes and she already missed him.

Catherine kept her eyes down as she made her way towards the Ravenclaw table. She was still able to control her breathing and was trying her best to keep her facial expression as neutral as she could.

The first year decided purposely took the seat farthest away from everyone and closest to the staff table because she didn't want to walk past any other student and she just wanted the whole thing to be finished already. The sooner she sat down, the sooner all eyes would cease being on her and she would be able to carry on trying to be invisible.

Catherine took as little space as she could and kept her hands on her lap and eyes on the empty plate in front of her. She remember mum and dad saying there must be a speech before dinner was served. She wasn't hungry, though, and just wanted to be out of there already. If only she had any control over any of this.

Tristin was still in a bit of shock when the sorting hat bellowed "RavenClaw" as soon as it hit his head, especially since his twin sister had been sorted into Slytherin just moments before and had shot him a sly smile as she made her way to that table. He thought for sure he would have been sorted into Slytherin too.

Here he was though...away from his sister for perhaps only the second time ever. The first time, she had gotten sick, so they were kept apart for about a week.

He turned up his nose at the utensils in front of him. This was what they were expected to eat with? They didn't look like real silver to him.

The 11 year old dropped his chin unto his palm and looked over sulkily at his sister, who looked just as put out as he did that they were separated. At least she looked put out until their eyes locked..she quickly replaced her sullen look with that of someone who was quite smug about her current situation. He rolled his eyes.

Just great.

*sappysapper* MAJNOO, YO!

Missa felt cool. There really was no other way to describe what she was feeling at the moment. She had honestly expected herself to be SUPER self conscious but the moment she had stepped inside Hogwarts - she felt a certain kind of confidence take over her.

A smile on her face, and the badge on her robes - proud and shiny, the brunette made her way to the Ravenclaw table. And the familiar faces on the table only made her smile brighter as she took a seat across from Nettie - who, upon her very casual glance she noticed was not wearing the prefect badge anymore. So, she had been mistaken - they were certainly not going to be perfecting together. Curious as she may be about the reasons of this, the sixteen year old greeted both her and Ewan instead of asking the obvious, "hello hello hello"

"it's certainly good to be back, isn't it?" she chimed, looking around at the new faces - stopping at one in particular (Tristin), who didn't look too happy, "but you don't seem so pleased," she commented at the first year, "is this not the house you wanted to be in?"

Tristin turned his head only slightly to see who had spoken to him.

He sighed heavily before answering her.

"How do I switch houses so I can sit with my sister?" He cast a quick glance over at Primrose.

"I think it would be best if we were in the same house, and I think I'd like if that house is Slytherin." Who would he need to pay to make that happen?

Puff by day, snake by night | Mj's bestie | Always UP to Something...

Chloe had taken some time when the train had stopped to look for her bag, she still hadn't found it and she was getting more and more frustrated. Her Quidditch trading cards were in there and Teacups treats, but the most important thing was her diary. She had things in there that she really didn't want anyone to read. Felix things, break up things and crushes things. Her eyes went towards the Gryffindor table and back to her own landing on Ewan.

She had to find that bag!

Giving a look around as she got to their table she gave a small smile, "Hey everyone" though she greeted them she didn't take a seat, no she was trying to look around to see if anyone had her diary, because if they did she knew they would have read it. Hopefully, no one would though, but just in case, "Excuse me... everyone, if for some reason you would find a purple bag in with your belongings I would be so grateful to get it back unopened."

Yes, that was good, unopened and unread. No one needed to know how she felt about a few Gunnar Friends boys she liked. No, no need for any of those boys to find that out, nor did her best friend need to find out things either.

Drewett arrived a tad bit behind than everyone else as he'd caught one of the later carriages to the castle. He had been preoccupied by a distraction in the form of Evan Eastwood and, honestly, the seventh year couldn't complain. He had been more than willing to stay behind with his girlfriend. Seventh year meant another year of major exams, and a step closer to hopefully figuring his life out by the end of the term. Something like that.

For now, Drewett was basking in the vibe of the feast. His last welcoming feast, if he had to be specific and sentimental about it. Which he would, probably later on, but the Ravenclaw didn't want to focus on that yet or any time soon. He made his way to the Ravenclaw table, determined to sit and enjoy the evening with his friends and his girlfriend.

The seventeen year old offered smiles to Nettie, Chloe, and even Catherine. Drewett knew she'd be joining them at Hogwarts, and he was happy she got sorted into Ravenclaw. If ever dad or mum asked him to keep an eye on her, it'd be easy. He took a double take at the badge pinned on Missa's robes, and even looked back at Nettie. Nevertheless, Missa got a big smile from him. "That looks new. Congratulations, Missa." With Missa as prefect and now Gunnar as head boy, Drewett was actually looking forward to this term.

Noah sauntered towards the Ravenclaw table in a hurry, bumping into the other unsorted kids along the way and claimed a spot next to Catherine. He'd never doubt the fact that his twin sister has a thousand things going on in her smart head and that bombarding her with an unsolicited joke would be unwise. Not when there was a lot going on at the moment, and knowing that her knee-jerk reaction was to run away. Mum and dad have reminded them to stay put after getting sorted and wait for their respective prefects to lead them to their dormitories. Though Noah was the adventurous type of kid, he'd trade off the adventures anytime if it meant sitting next to his twin sister whose thoughts were all over the place at the moment. Again, Gryffindor wasn't going anywhere, and he's got plenty of time to know them all.

Noah looked around and acknowledged the other kids present. He could easily tell that they were just like Catherine. They held a certain air of...knowingness. They all have that intelligent vibe to them...something that he doesn't have. Something that Catherine does have, and it made Noah swell with pride this time. "I'd die in this house, C. I'd have to settle with sleeping at the door each night if I ended up here," he said murmuring towards his sister, touching her shoulder with his. "Blue looks good on you too," he added, hoping that she'd feel at least a smidgen better. He did, after all, had a secret pact with their Dad that he'd look after Catherine...and Scar and Nugget once they start Hogwarts too.

Catherine need not know, but Noah was sure that she's the favored twin and that she shouldn't feel bad or isolated or any of the nasty things that she might be thinking.

Catherine would have been happy in normal circumstances, as her plan to act invisible was seemingly working now that she sat down, and no one that was already sitting at the table started talking to her. It would be easier to survive the opening feast that way.

The girl partly didn't want to listen to her twin's sorting because it would only reinforce her feeling miserable, but she couldn't help but hear first the Hat then her brother shouting. Typical Noah, making a scene wherever he went. Her face started to go red when she realised what he was shouting about, and although she didn't look up, she could see he was coming towards her house table instead of going to the one that belonged to his rightful house.

Oh no. Oh no. He would make a scene right there in front of her and the entire school would watch and look at them both incredulously and it would be the most horrible thing ever because then every single person would remember them later and make fun of them for being the siblings that got split up and made a big fuss about it.

Merlin, this day couldn't get any worse! Catherine felt her face burning and she held her breath when Noah finally reached her house table. Bracing herself, she continued to stare down at her empty plate and was in fact very much surprised when he simply sat down next to her.

And he was basically whispering. That did catch her by surprise and she was momentarily thrown-off and unsure of how to respond. Her first impulse would've been to scoot closer to him and remain dead quiet, but Catherine Mordaunt did not act on impulses, however comfortable and soothing they might feel at the moment. She did, however, remain quiet for a bit, still watching the emptiness of her plate.

Blue did look good on her. She knew she fit the house perfectly. It should be comforting that her now housemates were relatively similar to her - at least to some extent - and would not be driving her insane. But maybe she was wrong about that and the fact they were too similar would be a bad thing. It couldn't be worse then their own mad-house back home, though. Only, Catherine knew those people back home really well now and knew how they worked and how they normally reacted to things and that made it easier for her to navigate it all. She didn't know anyone at that school. No, she did. But the two people she did know were in a different house. A house they fit in with people like them. Her brother's tie was already red as was the inside of his robes and crest.

"You don't belong here, Noah." She said in a very low yet firm tone, not moving her gaze nor her hands that were still nestled in her lap. The truth was, Catherine did want him there, it was comforting, but she knew it would be pointless because in less than an hour they would be split up again and their new life would start. Apart. Not sharing a bedroom, not even sharing a table. The only thing they shared now was their surname and family baggage.

If it were anyone, Noah was sure that Catherine's words would scar or scare away a potential friend. However, he could feel her emotions, and he was constantly absorbing it. They are twins after all. They may not see eye to eye at all, but Noah can not deny what he was feeling. His twin was miserable, and he felt it too. It was annoying nonetheless that their first night would be spent in a grim mood. The 11-year-old took a moment to look at the Ravenclaw table, and they don't seem to mind that an outsider was at their table. "So what if I don't belong here? Mum and Dad paid for this school just like the rest of their parents, and I can sit anywhere I wish. It's going to be a feast, C. It's supposed to be fun. I ought to enjoy it with my sister." Noah shrugged as he picked up the plate in front of him and turned it over to investigate. "It's up to you if you want to enjoy it." Noah placed the plate down and looked at his miserable sister.

Even if they hated each other's guts, Noah cannot help but feel sad for her. Catherine is a loner at school, she barely made friends except for the ones that were obvious enough to be her friends, like Cece and Sammy. Without thinking twice, Noah gave his sister a comforting hug. He wouldn't mind if she pushed or slapped him in the face for doing so, but he knew she needed that hug. A hug that's supposed to be familiar. A hug from her real tribe. "It's going to be okay, C." he whispered and finally released her to let her breathe. Noah forced a grin on his face and looked once more at their table. "Do you want me to stay?"

Noah forced a grin on his face and looked once more at their table. "Do you want me to stay?"

Catherine pursed her lips and shook her head almost imperceptibly at Noah's comment about their parents paying for the school. "This is not that kind of school, Noah." Their days of private learning were over, now it was all going to be different, even those they associated with at school. Catherine knew there were people from all background there, and they wouldn't be all able to come to Hogwarts if it was paid.

She wasn't going to argue with his next comment, however. She could, but she chose not to. The fact he was sitting there with her and not at the Gryffindor table - where he truly belonged - with Cecelia did show he meant it, but part of Catherine didn't want to believe it because she knew it would all come crashing down later on. There was no way they would be doing everything around each other like they normally did, because circumstances were never going to be the same anymore. Ever. Part of Catherine thought it best to just start with it as soon as possible and get it over with.

But the other part was glad Noah was adamant on staying. And he said it was up to her if she wanted to enjoy it. Truthfully, she didn't. She'd rather be home with mum and dad and the rest of their siblings, to be honest. But this was Hogwarts, she had grown up knowing she'd come here. It was where all good witches and wizards were schooled and obviously where they would be too. It was a good school, she knew that. The best, even. That thought should make her feel good enough, but for now it didn't.

If all of Noah's actions so far were throwing her off, what happened next made her even more bewildered. She genuinely did not remember the last time her twin had hugged her and once again she had no idea how to react. It would've been a no brainer if that was dad, but it was Noah. That was the epitome of strangeness. She wasn't sure if it was the situation they were in or something else, but she didn't push him away. She didn't fully hug him back either - that would've been too strange - but she actually placed one of her hands on his back in an awkward, semi-hug. Although it felt awkward, it did help her relax, she would give him that.

Not that she'd tell him, of course. But maybe he would feel the tension leaving her shoulder a little. She certainly did.

Catherine finally looked at her brother when he released her, hoping he'd understand from it that she was thankful. He'd better understand it, because she wasn't about to verbalise it. Also she decided not to answer his question. He could do whatever he wanted. The feast was going to end the same way anyway.

Usually, silence meant yes, and yes he was staying. He definitely would enjoy the company of his new housemates and Cece, but current circumstances made him decide to just stay put. Again, he's got the whole term and six more years to spend as much time with his new mates, and he's decided to spend next term's welcome feast as his first. No big deal. What mattered was he was with his sister who wasn't doing well. True enough tomorrow would be different for both of them but there was nothing wrong about holding on to something familiar a little longer. It may not make much difference to Catherine, but it sure does for Noah. At least she'd have some semblance of normalcy tonight, even if he wasn't the ideal companion for her.

Noah made a face as he propped his elbow on the table and placed his chin in his hand, "Muggle school or not, it's the same thing to me. Besides, I don't see any name on the plate or the bench. It means I can dine here. I'm a Hogwartian and that's all I need to be." he said as his eyes then trailed to where the Ravenclaw banner was. "Well, except for that banner." he shrugged and looked at the older kids, and they don't seem to mind at all. "If they're smart enough, they know it's totally fine that I'm not moving my bum to where I should be dining." he quickly looked at their prefect and gestured his thumb to him over his shoulder. "He can fight me if he wants me outta here," he said in a confident tone. A very Gryffindor thing to say indeed.

Noah was finally able to give a genuine grin, seeing that somehow he did well at making Catherine feel better, even if just a tad. To see her release a bit of her anxiety made a whole lot of difference for Noah. He felt the pressure escape too, and it gave him that tiny bit of hope that tonight's not going to be a total disaster. As if on cue, his stomach began to grumble. "Yep. Definitely going to pig out tonight," he said nonchalantly as he longingly looked at the empty plate before him. "By the way, I heard from the grapevine that the school's got clubs and such. Have you thought of joining one?"

Catherine took a deep breath and blinked at her plate. That was the Noah she knew and the reactions she was used to dealing with. Stubborn and full of arguments. She could take that right now, especially as she didn't feel like talking much - then again, when did she ever? She looked up when he pointed out the banner and she would've thought it was nice if this wasn't such a terrible evening. Ravenclaw colours were actually her favourite - along with Slytherin's. Deep, dark and calming, just as she liked. But this was no ordinary evening, and Catherine didn't feel like appreciating such details.

She knew dad and uncle Oakey and auntie Ariana were constantly at the wrong table when they were at school and from their stories, they didn't seem to get in trouble for that. Catherine knew ultimately Noah was okay staying there with them, but really, she knew he'd rather be with his own kind. She glanced over at the Gryffindor table and managed to spot Cecelia, who of course was chatting away with her housemates. They had a lot of energy over there and Catherine couldn't even start to imagine the amount of insanity that would be going on in their Common Room right after dinner. "You won't know anyone by the time you go up to your Common Room." She told Noah as a way of nudging him to go back to his table if he wanted to. As soon as those words were out of her mouth, however, she knew it was a silly thought because that wouldn't be a problem for him. Perhaps his staying there with her was what would hinder her from getting to know at least one person from her house and year before she headed up to their Common Room.

Who was she kidding, she wouldn't talk to anyone that evening anyway. It made no difference.

'Yep. Definitely going to pig out tonight.' Her brother's words made her purse her lips again, now dreading the fact her housemates would watch her brother eat like, well, a pig at their table. Catherine quickly glanced up and down her house table to try and assess how much those kids would react to such sight. "Don't. Pretend like it's-" She nearly said 'back home', but that would've been bad as Noah was indeed a pig back there. Now, where did Noah acted remotely normal? "...great grandad's house." Well. She could only hope.

Merlin, help her.

Clubs? "I don't know which ones will be available to us this year. Do you?" She thought she wouldn't mind joining the Latin club if there was one. Or Ancient Runes. Or both.

"Hm?" Noah said absent-mindedly as he too looked over to where his mates were and spotted Cecelia right away, chatting with the rest of the Gryffindors. He would have said that he'll be okay since Cece will be there with him, but was quick enough not to mention it in case Catherine goes for another internal meltdown. At least she was the first to acknowledge it, however, he didn't want to risk it. It felt an eternity already for them to get to the point wherein she's actually talking. "Yeah, I'll be fine don't worry about it. I'd probably be too exhausted even by then and just go straight for my warm bed," he said stretching his arms, and slowly twisting his torso to the right and then to the left. "How about you though? Don't you feel like talking to one of your housemates? They look pretty harmless to me." And boy, do they like keeping to themselves. And really, how does one manage to stay put and read a book while waiting for the sorting ceremony to finish?

Noah almost blurted out laughing when Catherine did an attempt at schooling him. "Great gramps' dinner parties can be boring, but he's pretty cool when eyes are not on him." Noah nodded, recalling the time he'd have to pretend to be high and mighty and eat so little in front of his ancient friends. He did end up being served dinner in one of Grandpa Alf's study room where he can eat properly. Of course, Catherine would have been in the study too but perusing the rarest of books in the collection over scrumptious food.

"I was hoping you'll have information about it." but then again, Catherine was too preoccupied with the sorting and all of its madness. "I'd definitely go for something outdoorsy. Or dancing!" He's got two left feet, and he's definitely not graceful like their dad...but he does like to take on a challenge. And make fun of himself along the way.

Catherine squinted ever so slightly and gave Noah the side-eye. As if she'd believe he'd be too tired to go haywire with other Gryffindors after the feast. The same expression was used as a first reply to his questions. No, she didn't want to talk to her housemates, he knew that. The girl looked to the rest of the Ravenclaws again before turning back towards her brother. "No." She knew they were harmless, of course they were. They were just students. That wasn't the point. The point was that none of them were her friends and, in reality, she didn't think many - if any - of them would ever end up being her friend. So no, she didn't fancy talking to them at all.

Great grandad was 'pretty cool' when eyes were not on him? "Pretend this is his house and all eyes are on him." Catherine retorted sharply. If he wanted to be an animal he could go and be one with the Gryffindors. He was most definitely not going to embarrass her on their very first evening in the Castle.

"How could I, I just got here." She said regarding knowing about currently active clubs. "And Cecelia wasn't here last term either, well, nobody was." Which meant things might be different this year. Outdoorsy? "Like Quidditch?" Or possibly something with magical creatures? Actually, she might even consider that one, it might remind her of home a little. And dance? Really? She raised an eyebrow. "You think they'd have dance clubs here?" Was this even that kind of school?

"How could I, I just got here." She said regarding knowing about currently active clubs. "And Cecelia wasn't here last term either, well, nobody was." Which meant things might be different this year. Outdoorsy? "Like Quidditch?" Or possibly something with magical creatures? Actually, she might even consider that one, it might remind her of home a little. And dance? Really? She raised an eyebrow. "You think they'd have dance clubs here?" Was this even that kind of school?
"What's that supposed to mean?" Noah snorted as he looked at his sister giving her the side-eye. Did she think he was lying? He'd been a sleepless wreck the past few days, due to excitement of course, and perhaps tonight would be his first time he will get to pass out. Else, he'd have to force himself to sleep because the first days in school are super important. Noah didn't have to confirm that with Catherine, besides he would like to be properly awake for all the announcements. Especially if it has something to do with extracurricular activities. Those are always the best!

And really, what is up with his sister acting all strict and proper? "Sure mum," he said with a mocking tone and a sigh. "Merlin, you make me sound like I don't know how to behave at all. We're in school, not a training ground for soldiers or uniformed personnel. Calm down. I'm a Mordaunt too." That's the trouble with Catherine, honestly. Her shields are always up and she has a way to make him feel like he's not worthy of being a Mordaunt. Just like her, he knew of the power of the family name and the dignity it holds, and it would be a REAL disgrace if he did act like a literal pig on the table. The thought left Noah with a bitter taste in his mouth, not knowing exactly what it was, and he was quick to dismiss it.

With a smart sister around, it was just natural for the weaker sibling to assume that she knows everything at this point. "You know most facts about Hogwarts. Aaaaand maybe you could have heard someone on the train mentioning clubs. It'd be super weird if this school doesn't have a couple of those. I don't want to believe that muggle schools are better than Hogwarts."

Again, another shrug was given as he turned towards the group of older Ravenclaws present and tried to single out one of the prefects...or anybody who looked old enough to know about the school's clubs. For once, he was rather interested...

Their days of private learning were over, now it was all going to be different, even those they associated with at school.

Or both.

Mark was seated near the front of the Ravenclaw Table cheering and clapping for all students who go sorted into Ravneclaw. He watched his first god-sibling Catherine get sorted into his house and suddenly this idea of being some kind of mentor figure started swirling in his head. Her little sister was always more interested in every little thing he did but with Catherine in his house maybe he could connect with her a bit more too.

She had actually taken a seat right across from him, but before he could congratulate her personally Noah's named had been called next, which made sense. he was next alphabetically after her. So he clapped for him once he was sorted in Gryffindor.

He quickly turned his attention over to some of his other housemates. Smiling toward Nettie and acknowledging her with a small wave, he gave a nod to Drewett obviously, and a wave to Chloe as well. He was gonna talk with Catherine mostly now so he had to keep his attention toward her.

When he turned back around he just witnessed Noah giving Catherine a hug..When did he? Had he even gone over to his over table yet?

Mark just listened intently to their conversation about potential clubs. Sounded like this was his chance to chime in so he let out a bit of a gruff "ehem". Look here. Older Brother Mark Gunter could be your guide to the Clubs of Hogwarts.

Analiese was sitting towards the front of the room but was unusually silent. She still clapped for the new students that were sorted into Ravenclaw. It felt weird to be back in the castle after all that happened last year at Beauxbatons. After she was suspended and all. And it looked like Professor de Notresdame was still their Care of Magical Creatures professor. And Professor Schmoe was now their head of house. How interesting.

Still silent, Analiese was starting to get hungry. She hadn't eaten anything since breakfast. And she was also very tired. She had started being very tired lately; she had no idea why.
