The quiet, polite, silver and white common room belonging to Maison d'Ombrelune is located behind the statue of Pierre Charles Le Monnier. He is the house's most recent guardian following the naming of the Le Monnier lunar crater in 1935. The Ombrelune common room, quite like most of Beauxbatons, has been infused with a decadent dose of luxury and elegance. A large, opaque crystal chandelier hangs high and illuminates the white wooden bookshelves, spotless chess tables and study areas with a soft, flickering, warm glow. There are several large couches and armchairs ordered neatly around a massive fireplace, over which stands a silver framed mirror that goes up to the ceiling.

To the left of the entrance one can find the Wall of Portraits, partitioned off to provide privacy to those with appointments and double as sound reducers. To right of the entrance and often reflected in the mirror over the fire is the Moonlit Balcony, where students may relax and even play the piano (only within the allocated music hours) while looking out at the incredible mountain view. Opposite the entrance are the two softly lit corridors leading to the Ombrelune dormitories.

To the students of Maison de Ravenclaw of Hogwarts, bienvenue à Ombrelune. The Ravenclaw noticeboard is situated away from the main communal space, to prevent congestion of students in one place at one time. The Ombrelune common room values respect above all else, and any disturbances will be dealt with severely. Both heads expect the highest level of courtesy to be extended by both hosts and guests alike.
