To the west of the common room is a flight of stairs, which if you follow downward, will lead you to the Papillionlisse Girls' Dormitories. Gryffindors, this is where you will be staying.
Each door is numbered with numbers 1 through 7. A namelist is on each door, and if you pay close attention, you will notice that the fifth year Gryffindors will be housed with the sixth year Papillionlisse. This is not a mistake. Your heads of house have agreed that in order to minimise disturbances, that students taking major exams will be rooming together. Given that at Beauxbatons, the lower-level major examination is taken by sixth years, that is who OWL students will be staying with.
Tall windows illuminate the rooms, which seem far more cramped than they were designed to be. Housing twice as many students as they were designed to is pushing the limits of the architectural enchantments, you see.
It is not ideal for anyone, but you will all have to make do, and remember that rulebreaking of any kind is not tolerated here at Beauxbatons. There is a reputation to be upheld. Any problems that cannot be mediated by prefects are to be brought before the heads of house immediately, no exceptions. | |

Bernadette was grateful for a little time to herself in her dorm. It had been such a BUSY first week, and she had SO much to do, but she couldn't bring herself to do it yet. She needed a nap and a cookie first.
"Siiiiiiiiiigh," the first year announced dramatically, falling back onto her bed with her arms and legs out wide like a starfish.

At home, she could go and spent hours by herself, in the garden, or with the animals. Or, more recently, in her bedroom at the Leaky Cauldron. But here, she really couldn't escape people. They were everywhere!
Into the common room for some peace and quiet, she hoped. But there was someone there already. It was okay though, it was still far less than there were in the corridors. "Hello," she said quietly as she entered and hopped onto her bed and rustled around for her stash of pumpkin crisps.

"Hiiiii," Bernie replied, wiggling to the edge of the bed with her head upside down so she could watch whats-her-name getting into something. "Whatcha eating?"

That reminded her; she should share HER snack from home with her roommate. "Want a cookie?" Bernadette hopped off her bed and went into her trunk, rummaging around for a ziploc baggie filled to the rim with dark chocolate chip cookies, ones with a little sea salt on top of the chocolate. "I know what you mean. I made these at home before coming here and little did I know they'd be trying to make us be all HEALTHY all year." She rolled her eyes big time. "I thought French people liked butter."
