Snacks... yes, snacks were needed. Chloe was trying to avoid seeing Felix at all cost and still in her need of comfort food, which brought her to the food cart. She was ready for term to start, she wanted a fresh beginning. This was going to be her year she decided, but that meant making some new goals and new visions.

Her thoughts went to what goals she could possibly have for the year. Maybe she could be the head of the wellness club, or start a spirit club or something, she did have her seeker training to keep up on as well. Maybe she could join the yearbook or newspaper, that could be fun. She wanted to get herself out there more and stop being in the shadows like she felt she was. Her brother was head boy this year and that was great, she was super proud of him, but she lived in his shadow, she was just Gunnar's sister and she loved that title, but she was ready to have one of her own too.

How could she do it though?

She was on the Hogwarts express, finally, finally!

After a terrible year in France, Bernie was SO happy to just be heading to Hogwarts like a normal second-year. She was already all dressed in her uniform, had glanced through read all of her textbooks in detail, AND had taken out the appropriate amount of galleons, sickles, and knuts, all so that she could approach the food trolley properly this year.

But first, she had to wait in line. Bernadette was not the most patient person, and the older girl in front of her sure seemed to be taking her sweet time. Was she debating something? Talking to the trolley witch? Trying to decide between sweets? Maybe she needed the help of Bernadette O.G., Assistant Professor of Muggle Studies.

The second-year reached up and tapped the Ravenclaw on the shoulder. "Scuse me, but are you buying something?" She tried real hard to keep the annoyance out of her voice, but ended up sounded exasperated anyway.

Kennedi-Liesel had DREAMED of this day. The day came...annnnnd...she found herself chasing after a disobedient kitten. She should have listened to her dad and kept the little one in it's crate. But she didn't, okay. She was being nice and allowing it a bit of stretch. The kitten, though, had other plans and sprinted out the compartment door and between the number of students in the hallway.

"Come back!" she whispered breathlessly after it, hoping to not attract attention. The nameless kitten kept running happily, and Kennedi, losing sight of what was ahead of her, reached out to grab it.

She. Was. SOOO. CLOSE--

CRR-AAA-SSSHHH!

Bump went Kennedi-Leisel into the poor unsuspecting students by the food trolley.

Well, of course Isla wanted something from the trolley! Wasn't a pocketful of candy every kid's drink come true? Maybe that was overreacting a little, but Isla was starving! She'd only been on the train a few hours, but it felt like she'd last eaten three days ago. As the first year joined the small line that had already formed, she peered over a few shoulders and looked over the selections.

It wasn't good to do this sort of thing when you were starving, was it? She could already see herself spending way too much money here. She tried to talk herself down to just one or treats, but it wasn't happening. By the time she made it up to the front of the line, she ended up ordering three things: a bag of jelly slugs, a chocolate frog, and some Droobles gum.

Knowing that somebody else was probably waiting behind her and ready to order, Isla stepped to the side, stashing everything but a chocolate frog into her pocket. Anxious to eat and to see what card she got, she slowly began to unwrap the treat.

There might have been a moment where Chloe forgot she was even standing at the food trolley. Her mind had gone off to another place and her thoughts kept her there to the point she only realized she was supposed to be ordering when someone was tapping her. Turning she recognized the second year and gave a smile, "I'm so sorry, yes I need to order."

"I'll take a... what the.." One minute she was trying to order the next she was falling into the trolley and pastries were going everywhere. Confused and now feeling a bump coming on her head she looked around. "Is everyone alright? What.. what happened?" Was someone being mean or did they just fall over something?

Seeing someone she didn't know she tried to see if everyone was alright, "You guys okay?" Picking herself up off the ground she noticed Isla come up to all the commotion. "Hey Isla"

Her hand went out to Bernie to help her up if she needed.

"Oh look, a kitten!" Bernie was distracted from waiting in the candy line by a furry little baby running past them. Being the cat lover she is, of course she dropped to her knees to pick it up, but it scurried right through her fingers. Next thing she knew, someone or something was bowling straight into them! She was knocked from her knees to the ground but was able to get back up again, thanks to a hand from Chloe.

Bernie muttered a sheepish thanks, now feeling bad for being so impatient earlier. But look, they had an important cause to rally around! "LOOK!" She positively squealed with joy as she pointed at the piles of candy heaped upon the trolley. "The kittie's hungry! Isn't it SO CUTE!!!"

Neddie was mortified.

As she went down and tumbled, her biggest worry was the reaction of the other students. Forget a scraped knee, were they going to yell at her?!

There was no yelling, at least, not yet. Heart thumping, she stood up and rubbed her knee. "I-I'm so--SOOO sorry!" she breathed. "It-it ran and I couldn't catch it and...and..."

No one was yelling at her. Brushing her hair behind her ears, Neddie gulped and rubbed her clammy hands on the sides of her uniform skirt. Yeah, she was all changed and ready.

"He's a menace, I didn't--HEY!" she squeaked as the kitten began to bounce all over the trolley. "Stop it!" Then it did something odd and began to search around and scratch its tiny little claws furiously. What's it doing?

This is just great. Perfect. Curtis was fumbling through his bag as he left one of the compartment's temporarily so he could get some treats. It had all his money and everything! But perhaps getting an extension charm on the bag wasn't the best idea for times like these. Aha! Here we are, grabbing a few coins he looked up to see... Oh.

There was a crowd with them focusing on some cat. Curtis stared at them for a moment. Maaaybe, I'll come back later. He didn't want to be a part of helping tame a cat, no matter how cute. Turning back at such speed caused one of the items in his bag to fly out onto the floor as he walked away briskly. Nope, not turning back now.

The kitty! The kitty was just so precious! LOOK AT IT. Someone quick, get a camera and take its picture. Bernie was positively cooing at the thing, clapping her little hands and grinning at it. It was literally bouncing around and tearing up candy boxes and Bernie was just TICKLED by its adorableness. The cat could have used all the Chocolate Frog boxes for its litterbox and she still would have worshipped it.

So distracted was she by the sweet bäbë that she didn't even notice the older boy passing by, dropping something, and leaving again. She didn't notice anything until a certain odor started filling the corridor...

Bernie's nose crinkled as she wiggled her fingers at the kitty. "Oooh, sweet fur bäbë, is that you?" She glanced to the kitty's distraught owner. "Your adorable menace is making a pöö?"

Alessandro was in need of some air. The train was in full swing now, what with prefects patrolling and first years breaking things, and Al was in need of refreshment before they arrived at the castle. He adjusted his rumpled, dark curls and set out for the food trolley when he happened upon--

--well, frankly, a mess.

His gate stalled and he stared at whatever scene he was supposed to be looking at. It was unclear. It was girls. Oh, how it was always girls.

Alessandro cleared his throat. "Is everything alright?" he asked, out of learned politeness.

At first, Isla had been so focused on buying her treats, that she really didn't take notice of anything around her. She was starting to get tired, and they were hours into their ride to school. She was starting to get really hungry and kind of tired. She had literally justmoved to the side, when there was a loud commotion behind her, and candy started flying everywhere. She might have been legitimately happy about it raining candy if not for the fact that it looked like somebody got hurt!

"Oh my goodness, are you okay?" she asked. It kind of looked like she was, but that also looked like it seriously hurt! "Hey...," she finally replied, remembering that Chloe had actually greeted her. Feeling sort of guilty about enjoying her treats at a time like this, Isla tossed everything into her pocket, forgetting that she had just unwrapped her chocolate frog.

There was also a kitten somewhere in the mix, but Isla was having trouble focusing on it. That is, until the kitten started bouncing on what was left of the trolley. What in the name of Merlin? Also, the kitten had apparently pooed on the trolley, which just added to the mix of things. "Eww," Isla said, pinching her nose closed. What had that kitten eaten?!

That was when she felt something moving around in her pocket, and out hopped her chocolate frog. "Oh, no! Wait! My chocolate frog is hopping away!" Isla reached out and tried to grab the frog, but it was no use. Her hands clasped around thin air, and the frog hopped away.

Thankfully she was up because if she was still on the ground she would have been so embarrassed because not only did more people come to the trolley but Al was one of them. Why was he so pretty to look at? She felt stupid thinking that, but how could she not, he was definitely handsome.

That wasn't at all what Chloe should be thinking though and her head started shaking more to get the thoughts out of her mind and to clear her head, there was a kitten running around the food trolley and things were everywhere. "Okay everyone calm down, the kitten is not going to stop if everyone is going after it. We need to just be calm for it. Do you have any of it's favorite treats? What is it's name?"

Looking around to the gross component and the poo, "I... don't think that is what that is. Hey you.. did you leave something?" She tried to call after the boy who looked like he was running for his life.

Now a chocolate frog.... if this was how the term was going to go, Chloe, decided she might need to buy the entire food trolley to make it through.
