Default Charms Lesson 2

Tension was running a little high at Beauxbatons. Not many of the French students were getting along with the Hogwarts students and vice versa. Not to mention, things kept getting destroyed, and SOME students of the French variety were blaming the Hogwarts students for them. So things were... tense, to say the least. It was a miracle that they hadn’t been kicked out yet, to be honest.

One of the events that had caused tension between the two parties was a fire that had sizzled part of the kitchens that no one really knew the origins of. Now Piers wasn’t trying to point any fingers, but there had only been Hogwarts students in the kitchen when it happened, soooo... maybe somebody had been trying to SABOTAGE them.

Either way, it dawned on him that no one really knew the fire extinguishing spell and he realized that it would be a great lesson topic. Just in case someone accidentally lit another fire.

On the morning of class, Piers was standing at the front of the classroom like normal. Each desk and chair was set up as normal, but each desk had a miniature campfire set up on it, not including the fire. It was a small circle of stones with several little twigs standing up in an A-frame. No fires yet, and starting your own without permission would be highly discouraged.

OOC: Welcome to Charms class! Keep in mind that while this is the second charms lesson for you, we are deep into the school year for your characters. I will move class on in about 24 hours!

Pierson-Fuller seemed very serious, didn't he? Sure, it was a very serious topic but he seemed....... more serious. The upset kind of serious.

It was probably because of this, and because of what he started talking about, that made Lucas feel more awkward than he normally felt. Even if he didn't start the fire in the kitchens or destroyed any of the other rooms - the observatory still made him sad - it still made him feel...... guilty? Yeah. Why? He didn't really know.

As for the question, he chose not to answer. He had a LOT of favourite campfire snacks: s'mores, hot dogs, hot chocolate (even if it wasn't really a snack)...... It reminded him too much of the midnight picnic that the Dakest kids had in their back garden that one night, which only brought a faint smile to the boy's face.

Wait, what was the Professor talking about?

Blinking multiple times, the fifteen year old tuned in just in time to hear about..... fires. Extinguishing fires. How they should put out a fire if they came across one. Uh....... he raised his hand up in the air and started blurting out the most obvious answer that came to him. "I mean, water." Pause. "If you have a water bottle on you, you can dump the contents of that in. Or cast Aguamenti."

Yeah. Obvious.

OKAY. OKAY?! That was the answer Carsyn got?? Seriously? Why did FULLER-THOMPSON not appreciate the COMFORT SNACK that was mac n cheese? He asked for SNACKS and all she got was an okay!?! This was NOT okay. She was giving an ORIGINAL answer and mac n cheese was a snack and ugh. Ugh. This was not fair. Not fair at all. Because Mac N Cheese could totally be cooked up on a campfire, since all you really needed was a pot. There were ways to have cheese without the refrigeration.

Pouting , she angrily jotted down on her notes ways that mac n cheese was a snack, which was what the question asked. And why her answer was ORIGINAL and she needed more than just an OKAY, but like an OUTSTANDING.

It was in her frustrations that she almost missed his continued discussion. And only heard his last part on the ways to put out a fire, except, she was pretty sure he wasn't looking for the 'whatever', since the 'whatevers' only got OKAYS as responses. The 'whatevers' weren't EXCEPTIONAL answers. They were the so-sos. the acceptables.

"Aguamenti." There's the nice boring answer that you seem to appreciate.

Whew. Phoebe felt a surge of relief at the news that they'd be learning how to make AND extinguish fires. At least she wouldn't be sitting in the corner watching people burn things while she couldn't play along.

But they were still talking hypothetical, right? She raised a hand, her nose scrunched in thought. "Professor, you just have to cut off the oxygen or fuel supply, right? So maybe a household product like baking soda, in a pinch?"

Everyone was making good points - and fire safety was probably something they should review periodically here, considering Hogwarts' track record. There was one thing that hadn't been mentioned yet and she was kind of shocked it hadn't been brought up?

She raised her hand. "Muggles have things called fire extinguishers. If there happens to be one around that's usually the most effective thing to use," she explained.

~ Mrs. Steve Harrington ~ It be like that sometimes.

There were a whole host of methods coming from her fellow students. As Claudine sat there quietly (for now) at the back of the classroom, she made a list of the responses. But what in the world was a fire extinguisher? Being brought up in the Wizarding World solely had its drawbacks. Not that it ever bothered her; not even during the Muggle Studies lessons.

Claudine had her own answer and after a while raised her hand. When it was her turn, she provided, “Sand. I’ve seen people throw sand on fires.’’ It was a Muggle way but she had seen a wizard use it once. Sand was an effective way to out a fire, especially if it were a small one.

Her thoughts drifted with the grilled hotdogs after she mentioned it to the professor. Now she feels like setting up a campfire in the dorm rooms and grill some hot dogs. Not only that, anything barbecued is her favorite. Grilling is such a great human innovation. Yummy. Tasty.

Great, now she's hungry.

Focus, Jillian. Focus. She shook her head and looked at the professor. The lesson was continuing and so should she. Of course she did raise her hand to answer "Water is one way of putting out the fire, professor." both for magic and non-magic. The only difference is that witches use spells "Aguamenti is also another way" of course, a crowd favorite answer.

Kaiser had taken to fiddling with the miniature campfire on his desk, though not lighting it or anything. Just to have something to do with his hands. He was vaguely paying attention, sure, just enough so that it didn't look like he was completely zoned out. If he was just going to come here only to not listen to anything, he may as well have not even bothered showing up. What would have been the point of putting himself through a lesson in this mood then? So yes. Listening. Vaguely.

Well... the other students had mostly said all the potential answers Kaiser initially came up with, so he didn't say anything for a moment. But then, eventually, he half-raised one hand. "If you are on fire, you must roll," he supplied, and left it at that. Not a situation he'd ever been in, or even seen, but a strategy he'd somehow known for as long as he could remember.

The lesson had only just begun, and Avalon was already starving. All of this talk about food had her thinking about home and her mom's cooking. The food was Beauxbatons was okay, but it couldn't compare to a home-cooked meal at the Sinclair house. Or a perfectly gooey s'more.

It was interesting that they were talking so much about putting out fires today. She thought that most charms were centered around igniting a fire, not putting one out. But it would be helpful to learn some more ways to put a fire out other than using Aguamenti. She raised her hand. "A fire can be broken down into three parts: heat, oxygen, and fuel," she said, recalling some basic lessons about from primary school. Stop, drop, and roll, right? "If you take away any of these, it will go out." Which of course was easier said than done. How could you really remove the fuel from the fire if it's already lit? She supposed she could clarify her answer more with an example. "So if you have a candle lit, you can use one of those snuffer things to put it out. That removes the oxygen, which will extinguish the fire."

SPOILER!!: Catching up with first question
Cecelia had ALREADY been banned from the rose garden this year, she was NOT going to be kicked out of charms. She even sat on her hands JUST to make sure she wasn't tempted to do some wand waving that accidentally sent sparks flying. She was being good, did he see?

Oh and look, they were talking snacks! Cece liked snacks, she did. She could answer this one NO problem. As for what kind she liked around the campfire, well, that was harder to narrow down. Hmmm.. "I like those liiittle baby marshmallows dropped RIGHT in some extra chocolate-y hot chocolate, Professor." In fact, she reaaaally wished she had some of that right now. Lucky they were moving on because she needed distractions from thoughts of food.

Well, SEE, Cecelia DID know how to put out fires in THEORY, but she wasn't so great at controlling just how MUCH water came out of her wand once she'd gotten the spell to work for her, SO, yeah...

"Well, if you can use sand to put out a fire, could you also use dirt, Professor?" Seemed like it would help smother the flames just as well as sand would AND there was dirt ALL AROUND. It was very convenient as far as she was concerned.

What was great about apple crisp was it was easy to make and could make a sandwich out of it... Technically. Elisa wasn't quite as keen to try food combinations as her older brother, Wade. Sighing out of relief at the next question. To put out a fire..

Well, everyone was right about the items. Water, baking soda, muggle items.. But wait... Hmm.. Raising her hand, "Well, if you find yourself on fire you can just follow the muggles tactic and Stop, Drop, and Roll without a wand to put the fire out." What? The Professor didn't ask for ways to put out only a campfire. Hehe. Her face was kept straight while suggesting this.

Anywho, they were onto a new question. Bernie was still being GOOD and sitting on ONE of her hands. The other one was VERY tempted to flick the little teepee of sticks over, but she really DID want to light it on fire, and knew that she'd probably be banned from this activity if she touched it at all. So she squirmed in her seat again and instead popped her hand in the air.

How to put out a fire? Psh, she knew this. "Smother it." It wasn't the most obvious answer, but Bernie's mind had jumped to candles all of a sudden; candles were like, her favorite source of fire, besides ovens and actual fires. She had even MADE her OWN candles before. Maybe they could make candles after they had their campfires? That would be SUCH a fun bonding activity.

But back to her explanation: "Like when your candle is in a jar, and the jar has a lid, you just put the lid on the candle and it snuffs it out. Because fires need air and stuff to keep going." That was called SCIENCE.
And his most troublesome first year was answering again. He nodded at her answer, glad she was at least right. ”That’s right because it runs out of oxygen.” Very good.

Next question. How to put out a fire. These questions were very easy. " A muggle way could be to cover it in fort or sand. A magical way to do it could be to use Aguamenti.", she answered. This lesson was probably going to be very easy. It seemed that as you moved up years in Hogwarts, the easier classes got. But they certainly got weirder. The campfire in this lesson, the furniture in Muggle Studies and the bunnies in Defence Against the Dark Arts.

Okay, maybe saying that classes got easier was a bit exaggerated. She was only in her second year after all. She didn't have any idea about what the other five years would hold. Hopefully they wouldn't have too be spent in Beauxbatons as she had no idea how she would handle Desmarais and the French students for five more years. It had barely been half a year and she already wanted to leave.
The next student had a similar idea of smothering the flame. Of course there were only so many answers to one question. ”You’re right. Smothering it or putting it out with water.” Both ways worked.

”You’re quite right, Cecelia,” Piers agreed with a nod. ”Using dirt would work just as well.” Another smotherer.

”That’s quite right, Elisa,” Piers replied with a small nod. ”And that’s the same idea of smothering the fire, since rolling on it eliminates the oxygen.” So good job.

Once Elisa answered, Piers looked up as the door to the classroom swung open and a little house elf toddled inside. And that house elf was conveniently carrying aaaall the ingredients for s’mores. How NICE. ”Why thank you, Quirly,” the Charms professor said to the house elf as he took the tray from her.

”Alright, you’re all gonna get some marshmallows to roast over your little fires, which I will light.” He put emphasis on HE being the one who was going to be lighting the fires. While he was speaking, Piers used his wand to distribute the marshmallows to every student, giving them all five marshmallows each. ”You don’t have roasting sticks, so you’ll want to use a levitation charm to hover your marshmallows over the fire. If some of you younger students haven’t quite gotten the levitation charm down yet, go ahead and ask an older student for help, okay?” He hoped they would do that instead of using their wands as roasting sticks.

Piers walked around the classroom and distributed the marshmallows. Once he returned to the front of the room, he raised his wand. ”Alright, fires will light in five... four... three... two... .... one!” And with a wave of his wand, all of the campfires lit up into small, safe fires that were charmed to not actually burn anything aside from the wood. They were similar to bluebell flames, but a little trickier. They would certainly warm up their marshmallows, though. But Piers was not dumb enough to let these hooligans play with REAL fire.

OOC: And thus begins the activity! This is just for fun to let your characters eat some s'mores. I told you this would be real easy. Class will move on in a few days.

Elisa jumped a little at Quirly the house elf popping in appearance by the Professor before smiling kindly at them. They were going to make s'mores. That was nice. Elisa figured this could be another moment for her to perfect her wordless magic. It was a pain to master last year but over the summer she started to get the hang of it after her birthday and now... Couldn't they technically use their wands as a stick? Probably not since that would risk setting their wands on fire. Quite an embarrassing reason to need a new wand.

Elisa was momentarily lost in her thoughts on this that she nearly dropped the marshmallows that floated over to her. Thanking the Professor, she took one and placed the rest into her lap as the fire was being lit. Least the levitation spell was an easy spell for her to do wordless. Swish and flick... Concentrating on the levitation spell, Wingardium Leviosa, she aimed directly at the marshmallow in her hand and focused on making it float up. When it started to float she kept her focus on the intention to float it over the fire. It took a little while but eventually, she managed to have one above the fire. The flames were quite lovely to look at. Perhaps now was the time to turn it over before it darkened too much?

Awww, Quirly! Cecelia perked up a bit because the house elf was cute in a house elf kind of way AND there was food, which was ALSO very nice. She waved eagerly at the elf, offering a smile, and was pleased to learn they'd be roasting marshmallows!

YUM!

Only...well, the levitation charm was a liiiiittle tricky. She could get things to float for a tiny amount of time, but it never lasted as long as she hoped, and she didn't want to burn her marshmallow. She gave it a pat with her finger as her fire was lit by the professor, thinking she'd just have to be better at the spell this time around.

"Wingardium Leviosa," She whispered quietly to herself, getting a feel for the incantation. She liked THIS one a lot 'cause it sounded ESPECIALLY magical. "Wingardium Leviosa...Wingardium Leviosa.." She had this, she did.

Blue-green eyes settling on the fluffy deliciousness waiting to be toasted, the first year flicked her wand and uttered a, "Wingardium Leviosa!" UP went the marshmallow, but only a liiiittle bit off the surface of the table top, and it fell back down after a moment or two. "Aw, come on..."

And before anyone tries, don’t light a fire until I tell you to or I will kick you out.” He didn’t advertise detention though, because he knew some people LIKED detention for some strange reason.

”We’re going to start our discussion soon, but first... You all have a very small version of a campfire - sans fire - in front of you. Some of you may have heard that there was a fire in the kitchens earlier in the term...” he gave everyone a LOOK. ”There have also been some other... instances while we have been staying here. Now I’m not going to point any fingers because there isn’t any proof, but I’m just going to remind you all to be on your BEST behavior while you’re here.” Okay, okay?

Moving on. ”Let’s start with an easy discussion because I’m too tired and you probably are too. Campfire. Everyone name their favorite campfire snack.” Yes, it was that easy.
Sitting quietly in her seat, Holly gave her head of house another small smile as he moved onto the actual lesson… Then frowned slightly as he said not to light a fire. She would try not too spontaneously light a fire - as she always did - and as always, she hoped that she wouldn’t. The last time, had been in transfiguration… and that had been back at Hogwarts with Professor Darlington. She’d be fine. She’d been doing well lately. No-one knew she was scared of fire. It was all okay. It would be all right. It had to be.

But even still, her eyes kept darting between the mini campfire and Professor Fuller-Thompson as she listened to his spiel before starting the class. Campfire food…. Hmm. What had she had before… Her hand went into the air, even as she was still considering an answer. “We’ve had chocolate bananas before…” She told him with a nod of her head. “Where you put the chocolate in the middle of the banana and wrap it up in foil, then let it heat up and melt…” Hmmmm that sounded great actually… Could she make that in the common room fire? Would that be allowed? Hmmm….. Maybe she’d ask Professor Fuller-Thompson later. He was her Head of House after all… At least he’d know why she was asking. It would have been weird without context.

”Okay, now, let’s talk about fire. Clearly you have a miniature campfire on your desk. Before anyone ever lights a fire, they should first know about ways to extinguish fire.” It was already a bad idea that he was letting them play with fire, but he was going to be SMART about it and teach them how to extinguish it. Because apparently no one knew how. ”I want everyone to tell me a way to put out a fire - magical, muggle, whatever.” and then he gestured for them to start answering.
Holly nodded at the water comments that were coming left and right - that’s how Cameron and her Dad had helped her put out fires in the past. That, or smothering them in some way but that had been said too. “Professor… They can also be extinguished when there is nothing else to burn…” Her voice was low, obviously it wouldn’t be a quick fix, but a fire would naturally go out if it ran out of fuel… which was (she thought) why they were careful to surround a campfire with stones that wouldn’t burn… to limit its fuel.

Oh! Hi, Quirly.

The Slytherin gave the elf the smallest smile, as her longing thoughts of warm, melty chocolate surrounded by mushy banana gave way to the honest truth that they were not making them in class today. Not at all. Nope, it looked like they were making … smores. Something she had never made before. Something, that started by melting marshmallows… Hmm…. Maybe that would be okay too. She would withhold judgement, but warm gooey sweetness was definitely good by this Slytherin’s standards.

Also, Holly was more than okay with the Professor lighting her fire, she didn’t trust herself with it… even when she was trying to just light something small in potions, her flames were always larger than life. One of these days, she’d figure out how to do smaller flames so she could simmer potions properly. Today was likely not that day.

As the flames leapt and licked at the wood on her desk, Holly sat for a minute and smiled at the colour of them. They didn’t look anything like proper flames that teased and toyed with her dreams - that was good. Hopefully she wouldn’t have any issues with her magic today. Fingering her wand, she pointed it easily at her marshmallow as she glanced around the room for Alis and Jorgie. She noted them both and gave them both a small smile and a shrug before she muttered her own ”wingardium leviosa” and moved her marshmallow from her desk to hover over the flames; sufficient to warm, but not enough to burn.

~ Mrs. Steve Harrington ~ It be like that sometimes.

The loud POP! That announced the arrival of the house elf honestly startled Claudine. She was only just starting to jot down ‘sand’ as part of her notes when she jolted. The result was a sharp puncture in her book at the base of the letter S where she had pressed extra hard with the quill. Had it been a human that startled her, Claudine would have given them one of her meanest glare but the disturbance had been caused by an elf. A sweet, helpful elf.. who by the looks of it, had brought them all ingredients for s’mores.

Her eyebrows went up. Didn’t Fuller-Thompson trust them to light the fires? Apparently not. She suspected what had happened in the kitchens had a huge part to play in that. Eyes now fixed on her five marshmallows, Claudine felt her heart sink a little. She had not been able to completely master the Levitation Charm as yet.

The little Snakette, however, was slightly cheered by the miniature campfire, the actual flames completing the picture. Now this would make a perfect sketch! But first…

“Wingardium Leviosa.’’ Keen eyes fixated on one of the marshmallows which raised up from her desk and then dropped back down the next second. Claudine was not surprised; the exact thing had happened the last time with the feather she had been practicing with. “Wingardium Leviosa.’’ Up, up and drop.

Good golly!

This was going to take a while.

Oh! Phoebe exploded out of her chair to get her hands on all that MARSHMALLOWY GOODNESS. With her hands full and some stuffed into her pockets, Phoebe was nearly convinced she had enough marshmallows for this very scientific science experience.

"Wingardium leviosa," she pointed her wand at the marshmallow, carefully floating it up and over the fire. And right into it, because the spell died only moments later. THIS WAS WHY SHE NEEDED SO MANY.

OH. MY. GOSH!

An elf! THIS WAS AN ELF! This was a HOUSE ELF that she had READ and HEARD SOoooooOOOOOOOooooooooo much about! FINALLY, a real live house-efl!

For the first time in her life (probably), Bernadette was struck dumb, her mouth hanging open in shock. It was like meeting a celebrity for her! A house elf! A REAL LIVE HOUSE ELF! "Ohmygoshohmygoshohmygosh," the first year started muttering to herself, nearly falling off her chair in excitement. She couldn't take her eyes off the sweet, weirdly cute elf with the towering pile of s'mores ingredients.

She wanted to SCREAM with delight, but was frozen to her seat with AMAZEMENT.

QUIRLY.

HER(?) NAME WAS QUIRLY!

Could Bernie go hug her? SHE WAS SO CUTE. She just wanted to talk to her!

Forget the marshmallows the professor was passing out... COULDN'T THE ELF DO THIS PART?!!! She was also forgetting the fire for a second, because, c'mon, QUIRLY was here. And thus Bernadette missed the key instruction to use the levitation charm and NOT her wand for a roasting stick. Again she tried to get the elf's attention.

"Quirly? Ms. Quirly, ma'am?" Bernadette leaned around the professor who was blocking her view. She made sure to talk NICE and LOUD for the sweet elf with the big ears. "Can I have some of your chocolate?" It looked, like, PERFECT. DID SHE MAKE THIS ALL HERSELF? DID SHE DID SHE DID SHE OMG!!!!!!!!!! Finally, she was going to meet an ELF!

It took Claudine a good ten minutes of intense concentration and do-overs to get the first marshmallow hovering over the flames. How did she feel about this? On top of the world! Inwardly, she was jumping for joy. There was even a tiny smile on her face as she watched the marshmallow toast. For the very first time, she had successfully cast the Levitation Charm. Despite her joy, she focused on not burning the marshmallow. A burnt one would not taste very well.

Given the fact that she had tried the Charm on one marshmallow alone, Claudine decided that she would have a go at all four together now. She had gained the confidence to do so, afterall. She set the toasted one aside then gathered the remaining together.

“Wingardium Leviosa.’’ The wand movement with great focus and would you believe it? Only on her second try the tasty little treats rose up before her. Smiling a little broader, she moved her wand so that they moved as well to the same destination: over the fire.

Avalon jumped a bit at the loud POP that announced the house elf's arrival. She had started to zone out, thinking about the huge roll of parchment she still had to finish up for Potions by next week. Her eyes were instantly drawn to the tray Quirly was holding. They were actually going to eat s'mores today! Okay, today just went from being pretty boring to pretty awesome. The young Ravenclaw gratefully took her five marshmallows from the professor and arranged them neatly in front of her.

At least Avalon was fairly confident in her levitation abilities. That was one charm that she seemed to have no problem mastering. She focused on the marshmallow nearest to the fire, pointed her wand, and said the incantation. "Wingardium Leviosa." The marshmallow floated up flawlessly to hover right on top of the fire. The pretty lame fire, if she must say. It would definitely take a few minutes to get a good toast going. She assumed there were rules when it came to large fires in the classroom, though. And she wasn't going to complain about s'mores during class!

A water bottle might not put a whole fire out? Noted. He would hate to find himself in that kind of situation where he HAD a bottle and found out that it didn’t work. So...... maybe it was okay that he was finding out now? Yeah.

Before he could think too much on this, his thoughts were interrupted by a sudden loud POP that caused him to jump and blink several times. Who was- Quirly?! This was just...... a house elf? He paused to take some deep breaths, trying to get his thumping heartbeat to, uh, slow back down again to normal.

It did help that Quirly had a plate of s’mores goodies on her.

It [I]was a little weird that they weren’t getting sticks and had to use a spell, instead, but maybe that had more to do with the fact that this was a Charms class. But it was a relatively easy spell so he didn’t have anything to complain about. Taking out his wand, Lucas cast a simple "Wingardium Leviosa!" Swish and flick!

At once, one of the marshmallows floated upwards and hovered there. He tried to direct it towards the fire that Fuller-Thompson had created, letting it hover over those....... uh, fake? flames. Were they fake? Were they real? They couldn’t be, right?

Kaiser did not roll his eyes very often, but he frequently found himself making an immense effort to stop himself from doing so. It had only been an issue since he had started needing to heed authority figures too, come to think of it. Before then, there had been very few people to roll his eyes at.

He had to fight the urge right now, when Fuller-Thompson so heavily emphasised that he would be the one to light the fires. Yes, some of these younger students had... questionable aim when casting spells, but still. With the amount of trust Fuller-Thompson had in his students, maybe he should have been a Beauxbatons professor.

... Was that the bad mood talking? Kaiser couldn't be sure.

Well, whatever. The fire was lit, a house elf was here with snacks, and said snacks had been passed out. Now all he had to do was... roast... marshmallows. Okay, sure. He'd take an easy task any day.

"Wingardium Leviosa," Kaiser cast, swishing and flicking his wand at one of the marshmallows and hovering it over the small flame. Kaiser had never been exceptional at school, but Charms was a strength of this and this was first year stuff, so he had no problems whatsoever in completing the task. He leaned an elbow on the desk, and propped his head up on his hand, watching the marshmallow with a glazed over expression.

Yes, marshmallow time. It would be nicer to have sausages or hot dogs but it's a small fire. They will be here all day if it's that. Jillian took her wand out and sees the other kids started with the activity. Jillian waited for her marshmallow snacks to arrive, her ayes following the house elf. It was an easy task, hopefully.... for now. Unless the professor is thinking of them going outside right now and have a bonfire activity in the cold.

Anyway, she tightly gripped her wand and pointed towards the marshmallow. Taking a deep breath and uttering the spell "Wingardium Leviosa" she watched as one of the marshmallows flew up in the air, she carefully positioned her wand and the marshmallow followed, hovering it on top of the small fire in her desk. She gazed as the marshmallow starts to change it's color.

Smells nice.

Holly smiled as her marshmallow floated happily above the bluebell (well, she thought it was bluebell) fire. What happened if they were done before the Professor moved on? Hmm… She wasn’t sure, but just in case the first one started to burn, she levitated the other marshmallows she had been given too so that they could start to brown off and warm up.

Mmmm. Even the marshmallows looked good… She wasn’t sure about the crackers, but she’d take melty warm chocolate. 100%.

Looking over her shoulder, she noticed a few of the first years still not quite getting their charms right - she watched one of the ones she had been paired up with in the past quietly (Claudine) and smirked ever so slightly to herself as she managed to levitate her marshmallow without it falling back to the desk. You go, Snakette. She thought to herself as she waited for the class to progress.
