Armour Gallery https://s26.postimg.cc/uybfo23rt/arm...ery-banner.jpg Adjacent to the Trophy Room is a long corridor where numerous polished suits of armour are on exhibit. This collection of armour has been through a lot over the centuries that the school has been in existence, granted they don't look like it for not a single scratch can be found. If you know your history well enough, you'll be able to easily imagine the circumstances that these suits endured. The weapons they are holding say enough. |
Nina had just left the Study Hall, where she had successfully managed to finish her readings for class. This meant that she was officially four weeks ahead in all of her coursework and the only reason why she didn't continue was because her stomach had started making incessant noises and she was sure that they were loud enough for others to hear. It would be far too humiliating to stay in the room for much longer, and so she found herself scurrying off in a hurry to head towards the Great Hall. Which meant she had to pass through the amour gallery. Or maybe she didn't have to, but this was the only route that Nina knew... She still hadn't had adequate time to understand the layout of this castle. While she was often quick to pick up on things, the moving staircases and constant bustle did a number to confuse her. Just as she reached the middle of the corridor, she heard the sound of clanking metal. As if a deer caught in headlights, Nina turned almost immediately. Stunned. But... Nothing looked out of the ordinary. So she continued forward again, dismissing her skepticism and deciding that she was being paranoid for absolutely no-- AND AGAIN?! She turned around even FASTER this time. Her whole body stiff. "Céline! Eloise! This is SO not funny!" |

She blinked a few times but then she heard the familiar creaking of the armour, and suddenly it all clicked in her brain. She smiled a little to herself and approached the girl, hopefully not startling her. "It's the armour. They move occasionally. I don't think they're here," she told her. Key word on THINK. Eloise was always a wild card, and as for Céline, after she told the whole school Nettie had DIED last term, she really had no clue what through her head. Chance were unlikely, though. |

Not just for some reason. Nina had PLENTY reason to call out their names. Celine and Eloise were a chaotic pair. They both knew exactly how to wind her up and insisted upon doing so at any chance they were given. It was not only absolutely infuriating, but Nina was also paranoid. Crossing her arms tightly across her chest, the Slytherin continued to thoroughly look at each and every single piece of armor. This was NOT funny!!!!! It was absolutely-- MEEEEEP! So yes, Trinnetta did, in fact, give her a scare. Nina quickly composed herself though and gave the Ravenclaw a strange look. "... They move?" Though there was surprise in her tone, she knew she ought not to be. The staircases moved too, it was irritating if nothing else. But she was relieved that it wasn't the disaster duo. Nina wanted to stay as far away from them as possible. |

"Are you ok? You seem...jumpy..." she observed, biting her lip. She knew that things in the Slytherin girls dorm seemed...less than pleasant most days. At least, that was what she heard through the grape vine. |
Nina gave Trinetta a look in disbelief. Again, none of the information shared was surprising, but it was still very off-putting. "That's so weird," she was unimpressed. "They should do something about it." Wasn't this concerning to literally anyone? If an intruder happened to enter the castle, they would easily be able to disguise themselves within the suits of armor. Clearly the administration had a lot of issues that needed to be dealt with. It was a wonder how anyone was surprised that a Professor was eaten last year. Hogwarts had many security issues. Clearly. Suddenly, Nina's back tensed up. Her demeanor turning slightly awkward as she crossed her arms in front of her chest defensively. "I'm not jumpy!" Um. "You just caught me by surprise." Lie. Lie. Lie. But why would she actually tell the Ravenclaw what was going on? Trinetta was sweet (albeit incredibly defensive, slightly desperate, and little insane), but Nina wasn't about to divulge her life to the girl as if they were best friends. They were acquaintances at best, in Nina's books. |
