Default Office for Professor Alice O'Hara

The previous occupant of this office (O.Curtains) had decorated the office with music boxes and had cast amber light over the room to give a feel of antiquity. Before him, Professor Marchand had kept a cozy office with shelves full of books - and a plate full of cookies as a nice present for visitors.

Compared to them and previous history of magic professors, Alice O'Hara's office looked almost empty. She had stripped it to the bare essentials, with only two things posted on the wall. One was an extended timeline of the past five hundred years of wizarding history, and the other was a chart with information on why exercise and a healthy diet are important. The rest of the walls were sparkling clean, but empty. Two chairs face Alice's rectangle desk, both are tall and straight to make you sit up straight. No slouching in her presence for you!

Yet there is one similarity with how Professor Marchand kept her office several terms ago. A plate of food is on the table for visitors. Carrots, though, not cookies.

follow me; everything is all right.

Planning to sit down and catch up on marking after the Christmas break? Or maybe do some planning for the next class?

That might be easier said than done, given that there's a glaring omission from the office: the rectangular desk has completely disappeared. Anything that was on top of it now laid spilled across the floor.

Perhaps some bored students had decided to prank the History of Magic professor, and moved it elsewhere?

Alice was truly not in the mood as she walked back to her office that evening after having completed her outdoor exercises. That Slytherin had openly defied her order to exercise. Somehow, school rules actually permitted that type of behavior! That would never have stood in Romania or any other place where students were taught to respect their teachers. Alice was going to have to put in a word or two with the headmaster about that.

Walking into her office, it was not immediately apparent what had happened. It was not until after she had folded up her winter jacket and turned towards where her desk was supposed to be.

Only it wasnn't. Her desk was gone. Even worse, all her belongings were just scattered uncerominously on the floor. Her fruit bowl, tea cup (which was smashed), graded papers, ink, and quills were all over the place.

Eyes bulging in pure rage, she screamed out a string of horrifying swear words. She then swerved towards the wall to make certain her charts were still there. They were, but that did little to dissuade her rage.

"Little Brats!!!" she growled as she handpicked her belongings one by one, still muttering offensive curses under her breath. Her lack of magic skills meant she couldn't just fix everything with a wand.

A student was going to pay dearly for this. Alice did not know who it was, but whoever it was would be expelled. She would make sure of it, if it was the last thing she did at Hogwarts!
