Default Herbology Lesson One: Dittany

Location: Greenhouse One, Day: Thursday, Time: 9.00 AM

Winter has come to Hogwarts and since the start of the week snow has been falling steadily each day, turning Hogwarts into something white and mesmerizing, if looked at from the outside. The temperatures have dropped below zero and the castle is as it best being heated up by torches, fireplaces and the occasional heating charm, but still a little chilly and drafty. On the grounds Professor Wishart has worked tiredly each day this week to keep the snow off the bigger paths and to make sure the plants, trees and creatures aren’t suffering in the now turned winter landscape of Scotland.

As you trudge into the classroom of Greenhouse One that is warm and cozy and stomp off the snow from your feet upon entrance you notice that the greenhouse looks more like the school’s hospital wing run by Professor Adara then a place for working with plants and fungi. Not to worry though, there are still potted brown stalked and leaved plants insight on each student work table waiting for their carers. The worktables are set in a half circle formation of several rows facing the numerous hospital beds surrounded by privacy screens to let the patients have some peace for now.

Professor Wishart is sitting on the edge of his desk wearing purple work robes for the day (don’t ask!) sipping on a hot mug of tea as he wait’s for the arrival of his students.

Lesson Progression:
Arrivals + Question 1 - Name One plant or herb each that has healing properties
Responses + Question 2 - Can you think of other uses for dittany and/or problems or situations we're its use can be beneficial?
Responses + Main activity - Mix together Essence of Dittany potion
Mini activity - Heal the wounds and cuts of a dummy patient
Class is dismissed!

The student's got brewing and mixing their essence of dittany potions and Joshua made his way around knowing full well that this wasn’t a very standard herbology practical. Trying new things though we’re fun and inspiring and that was what he told the student’s if they grumbled.

When the two hours was up Joshua beamed broadly as he made his way back up front to face the student’s "Wonderful potion work everyone! I shall tell Professor Noble how proud he should be of all your potioneering skills." It was warming to see so many finished essence of dittany potions.

"Now then for the final part of our lesson you’re going to be using your newly brewed essence of dittany potion and your remaining bush leaves to heal a dummmy patient. Headmaster Trent has lended them to us for this activity since the’re usal home is the DADA training room." Professor Wishart paused here to use his wand to make the curtains around the beds disappear, revealing dummy patients (that looked very human) with real open shallow flesh wounds and small cuts waiting to healed by the students.

Heading over to the nearest dummy patient with a vail of the essence of dittany potion and a handful of leaves in hand he beackoned for the student’s to follow him over there for the demonstration. Stopping near the dummy Professor Wishart spoke as he started to instruct the students in what they needed to do. "Dittany can be applied topically or swallowed raw to have the same healing effect. These dummies can’t swallow though, so that way is not available to us today."

"What i want you all to do either solo or in pairs is to try administering dittany topically by pouring 3 drops of the essence of dittany potion into the shallow wounds. and apply the 1-2 leaves to the cuts. It's up to each of you to judge if 3 drops of potion and 1-2 leaves are enough to heal your patient just like when we work with plants. Not every plant or in this case dummy patient will require as much healing." He went quiet as he showed them how both of these things we’re done.

"I want you all to also jot down a few observations on parchment of what you see and how the dittany effects the wounds. Choose a patient and get to work you have 1 hour to complete the activity!"

OOC: Mini-activity is here! Your student is going to solo or in pairs, heal a dummy patient by administering the dittany potion of 3 drops to the wounds and 1-2 dittany leaves to the cuts and make a few observations on parchment using the below format in as many or as few posts as you'd like. You have 3 days until Wednesday Feb 13th @ approx 7pm GMT+1 to complete your activities before i wrap up and close the lesson. Catching up is allowed for all parts! Have fun and be creative!

As could've been predicted by pretty much anyone who had witnessed him in Potions class, Maxton's attempted sucked. It was bad. He couldn't pinpoint which part he'd screwed up on but the fluorescent green stodge that had formed in his cauldron just looked ...... wrong. Very wrong. It smelled wrong too. Like rotten eggs.... Hopefully people didn't think he'd let one off because he definitely hadn't farted, it was his potion, okay???

At least they didn't have to use this stuff on actual humans because that would've been disastrous. He was positive his creation would do more harm than it would good. If they needed a radioactive potion that would more than likely dissolve a person, he was your guy.

He was definitely going to have to pair up. And preferably with someone who had gotten their potion right. Max peered around helplessly. Help? Anyone?

Well, this lesson didn't go in the direction Tina was expecting...not that she was complaining. She preferred the slow, certain work of mixing potions to getting her hands dirty in the greenhouses any day! Plants, especially magical ones, could be unpredictable; potions,on the other hand, had little room for error as long as one followed the directions to the letter. Tina copied down the steps for the essence of dittany potion as the professor named each one, her pen scratching rapidly against the parchment. She even took down the incantation and wand movement, despite already knowing the natatraho spell. Better safe than sorry, right?

After giving her notes the once over to make sure her handwriting was legible (because sloppy mistakes in notes led to sloppy mistakes in class!), Tina pulled on her gloves and went to gather some dittany leaves. It was only when she approached the plant that she realized she had no idea how many leaves she needed! Did she zone out and forget to copy that in her notes, or had Professor Wishart neglected to mention it? Apparently great minds think alike because the professor answered that very question before Tina had the chance to ask. Okay, five leaves it is! She looked at the plant. Did the size of the leave matter? Some of them looked a bit bigger than others...

Tina picked five leaves that looked to be about the same size and took them back to her table. She picked up one of the leaves and carefully positioned it at an angle to control the flow of the extract. "Natatraho," she cast, moving her wand in a careful, deliberate fishing motion. Liquid dripped from the leaf into the open vial of potion. When it was done, Tina picked up another leaf and repeated the process until she'd extracted the oils from the other four leaves.

Now what was next? Tina consulted her notes. 1 oz blended dittany extract, got it! She picked up the nearest bottle of blended dittany extract and measured out 1 oz. When - and only when - she was sure she had the measurement exact did she add it to her potion. She waited, and... nothing happened. Why wasn't it turning yellow? Had she somehow added too much or too little of something? The dark-haired Ravenclaw was really starting to panic when slowly but surely, her potion began to change color.... though she couldn't help but notice hers was a slightly more golden shade of yellow than her classmates'. Would the shade make much difference?

Tina was almost done. All she had left to do was the stirring and the wand movement. She grabbed her wand and used it to stir in slow, even anti-clockwise rotations. One... two... three... four... five... six... seven. Tina examined her potion with a critical eye. It had turned brown, but was it the right shade of brown? She supposed it would have to do. With a wave of her wand, she was done.

Having been near Max, Hanna caught a whiff of... something. She thought it could have been some kind of body function, but then realised they had been brewing potions. Potions was usually full of different smells. Catching his eye, she headed towards him with her own potion. "Hello," she said, "Uh did you want to work together?" She peered into his cauldron and saw that his looked a little bit different to hers. "Oh," was all she said. "We can use this one if you want." Suggesting her own.

Seeing the wounded dummies gave her flashbacks from that Charms lesson when they learned how to heal them. She knew she hadn't wanted to be a healer before that lesson, and was absolutely sure of it by the end. It wasn't that she was queasy with blood, she just didn't like it. But at least, like with that charms lesson, she didn't have to touch the wounds. Just administer the topical potion and cover with 1 or 2 leaves. She could to it.

Jotting the questions onto her parchment, she headed over to the dummy with the potion and looked for one of the more shallow cuts. Ah, that one on its arm. 4 centimetres, she guessed. Dropping three careful drops onto the wound, and then covering with the leaves was all she would do for now. She offered the bottle of potion to Max and waited a minute before peeling the leaf back to see what had changed.

Walking over to the plant Stella looked at some nice leaves before she plucked five leaves. Nodding in approval at her work, she took her bowl back to her table and set them down taking off her gloves. "Now what's the next step?" she asked herself looking down at her notes. "Extract the oils from the leaves by useing the natatraho spell in fishing motion." she read to herself before taking out her wand. "Here goes nothing, Nata...." she said clearly, whipping her wand at the leaf like she was casting a line while fishing. "traho," she finished, pulling her wand back with another whip like motion. "Yes! It worked! I did it!" she said happily

The seeping out of the leave into her collection bowl she smiled before she did the process to the other four before smiling happily dumping it into her potion. Looking at her notes she seen she had steps one 1-3 done, well.... that was easy peasy, now for the remaining steps. With the extract oils in her potion, she read the next step. "Add 1oz of the blended dittany extract (potion should stem yellow after extract has been added.) " she read to herself biting her lip. "Ok.. one ounce to the amount, nothing more or less." she thought to herself.

Walking over to blended dittany she measured one ounce to the key before walking back to her potion and added it in. Looking down at her potion she seen it turned yellow, as she looked around she seen most were brown already, she best hurry up. Looking at her notes she took her stirrer and started stirring counter clockwise. Counting to seven in her head she nodded before reading the remaining steps. Waving her wand over her potion she grin happily at herself, she did it it!

Looking at her potion and then Professor Wishart she nodded. Ok... hm... to work with someone or alone, hm... working with someone didn't sound like a bad idea. "I.. I need a partner anyone want to work with me?" she asked looking around.

Daisy decided to work by herself. She didn't want any errors that she made to affect the work of her partner. They didn't deserve that. She made her way to where the "casualties" lay. She didn't know how to feel about the sight that befell her. It was reminding her of what she saw at St Mungo's when she was a patient there after the Inferi attack in her Fourth Year but she was determined to let any queasiness not affect her because of her desire to be a Healer.

Daisy grabbed her quill and some parchment and wrote down the questions before approaching one of the "patients'".

“Yes Sir,” Jackson answered the professor. No, he hadn’t asked a question, but he was taking notes! He just didn’t want to become the President of the Redundancy Department of Redundancy. Jackson watched as their instructions were issued and scribbled them down. Alright… let’s go!

SPOILER!!: Notes
1. Pluck 5 dittany leaves from the plant
2. Extract the oils from the leaves by useing the natatraho spell as previously taught in one of Kate's lessons (fishing wand motion)
3. Add extracted oils to potion
4. Add 1oz of the blended dittany extract which isavailable to each student potion should stem yellow after extract has been added.
5. Stir gently 7 times to mix the potion , anti-clockwise til the potion turns brown.
6. Wave your wand to complete the potion.

Jackson looked at the plant near him, analyzing the leaves, wondering which to pick. Gloves on, he picked what looked like the five best leaves and plucked them from the tree. He took a seat again at his station, removed his gloves, and began the wonderfully tedious process of getting the oils out. Pretending he would ever actually go fishing, Jackson flourished his wand. “Natratraho... Natratraho…” until finally he had collected what seemed like all of the oil he could. Carefully, Jackson added this to his potion, peering over the side of the cauldron. So far so… okay at least. They would see in a moment. And with that confidence, Jackson added an ounce of the extract to his potion and watched anxiously as it turned…… hey! Not bad! It was a pretty good yellow color, in his opinion. With at least a singular breath of relief, Jackson moved on to the next step. He was one stir in when he stopped and even gasped a bit. He had definitely gone clockwise…

Rolling his eyes and muttering under his breath, Jackson corrected himself, hoping he hadn’t done too much damage there. He carefully stirred the potion, watching as it began turning to a murky color. He watched, hoping it would turn a more solid brown color. In the end, it was a little dark, but definitely brown! Cue a big sigh of relief. He waved his wand and rested his head on his hand to take a break if you will.

Oh? Partners, eh? Jackson looked around and heard Stella calling out nearby. "I'm free!" he responded, looking over at her. He needed a partner too anyway!

After adding the extract he continued to stir 7 times counter-clockwise watching as the potion finally turned brown. He waived his wand as instructed to complete the potion. Looking down he felt pretty proud of how well it turned out he couldn't believe it. Although, it was way less stressful without Nobel over his shoulder.

He was just finishing up his notes when he heard Professor Wishart begin talking about healing dummies. Oh boy. Why did the dummies always have to come out and make their appearance. Sighing he took down the questions he would have to answer regarding the task. Glancing around he decided to work alone since everyone else was pairing up quickly.

Placing the dittany onto the skin as the professor had stated he waited to see what the dittany would do to the cut. He really hoped he had done the potion correctly so it would be the right result.

Daisy took in a steady breath of air as she began her "healing duties". She saw a shallow wound on the lower left of the dummy that she was treating. Daisy froze for a moment because of a momentary flashback but she quickly regained her composure.

She administered three drops of the Essence of Dittany to the wound and as she waited for the potion to take effect, she placed a dittany leaf on a small cut on the dummy's forehead. Daisy observed that the swallow wound had started to heal rather quickly as did the cut.

The Hufflepuff administered more Essence of Dittany onto various swallow wounds and placed a leaf each on a few more cuts and waited for the dittany essence/leaves to take effect. Soon, she had written her findings on her parchment.

Question 1: How did the dittany effect the wounds and cuts?
The Essence of Dittany was very effective in healing shallow wounds. After administering a mere three drops of Essence of Dittany, it was as if the wounds had happened ages ago. There was no scarring and the wound site looked as if it had been restored to a pre-injury state.

The dittany leaves shrunk the slightly larger cuts and made the smaller ones vanish entirely.

Question 2: Did you have any issues with administering the dittany to the cuts and wounds?
Only due to personal reasons. I had a momentary flashback but I regained my composure. The actual administering was fine.

Question 3: Do you think swallowing dittany leaves raw would have had a stronger effect on the healing of the wounds and cuts?
I don't think so because the wounds/cuts would not be treated topically and that's the best way to treat such injuries. I think swallowing Dittany when it is in a Wiggenweld Potion is the only good use for it.

Hanna gave a very small nod as Max vanished the contents of his cauldron. She figured it was a Herbology lesson, perhaps it wouldn't be needed. As soon as it vanished, the smell did too, and she was quite thankful for that.

Hanna had a think, surveying the dummy. There were plenty of shallow wounds and small cuts. "Hmm... I think something like he was chasing a cat up a tree. He loved the cat so much he didn't see what the tree was, but the cat didn't quite love him the same way." She pointed to the scratches on the dummy's face. "I think the cat took a swipe at him here, and perhaps he lost his balance. And then he realised... 'Uh ohh I'm in a cacti forest.' and down he went, falling through the cacti branches sustaining all of these injuries." She shook her head sympathetically and peeled the leaves off the cut she had dropped her potion onto.

She looked back at his face and thought for a moment. "Oh, Donald." She nodded. "Definitely a Donald," and let out a little laugh.

She saw that the redness of the cut, and the openness had vanished, leaving a small white line indicating a very faint scar. "This isn't bad, this potion! I reckon it would be dead useful in Quidditch." Specifically if anyone fell off their brooms.

Question 1: How did the dittany effect the wounds and cuts?
The Dittany healed up a very small and shallow cut just nicely, leaving only a trace of a line indicating a wound had been there.

Question 2: Did you have any issues with administering the dittany to the cuts and wounds?
No, I found it to be quite simple with a dropper to allow more precise measuring of potion

Question 3: Do you thinking swallowing dittany leaves raw would have had a stronger effect on the healing of the wounds and cuts?
I think swallowing it would let the healing effect of the leaves to last longer and maybe that would be useful for larger cuts that needed just a little bit extra healing power as well as the potion.

It was really, really difficult to try and guess the steps of this ???potion??? just by watching those around him. And Abra knew, he kneeeewwwww he should just ASK Professor Wishart for the next set of steps, but he was by now so anxious about calling attention to himself and how far behind he was and the fact that he'd not managed to write all the steps down, that it just seemed like a much better idea to stay quiet. Anyway, the rest of the class was moving on, and now Abra was really behind, and did not want to draw attention to that.

As far as he could tell, he was supposed to add the other ingredient to the mixture now, the blended dittany extract. Exactly how much, Abra didn't know, and he didn't want to waste even more time by measuring, so he just added a bunch and set the rest aside. As for stirring, Abra knew enough about potions after six and a bit years of lessons to know that the direction and number of stirs was important. He'd watched his neighbour earlier, and knew seven anti-clockwise stirs was the way to go, which did also ring a bell in his head regarding what Wishart had told them to do.

He did this, but had completely forgotten what colour it was supposed to go - and this was the hardest part of potions for him at the best of times, seeing colours as differently as he did - though he was pretty sure 'muddy yellow' had not been mentioned. Not wanting to add any more stirs in case something went boom, Abra decided to call it done and waved his wand over the top, wincing slightly as though bracing for something to go wrong.

Nothing went wrong. It was all good. Well, except the thick, muddy yellow sludge now in a vial in front of him. But it wasn't like he was going to administer it to a real person, so... it would be okay if it went wrong, right? ... Right???

Wiping the sweat from his brow, Abra took his vial up to the dummies, and found himself a free one to get working on. Finding one of those shallow wounds that Wishart had mentioned, Abra attempted to add a few drops of his dittany extract to it... but it was too thick to drop. So he just sort of... smeared it on the wound with his own finger, and hoped nobody was paying too much attention to him. Look away, people. Nothing to see here.

See? Her story had already made this whole task waaaaay more fun. And really, Herbology needed all the spicing up it could get because plants were boring. "Sounds like he was in the wrong place at the wrong time, wow. Poor Donald."

He messily dabbed some more potion on the wound he was dealing with on his side and adopted his best Head Healer in charge voice. "Looks like we've got ourselves a very bad case of pins and needles on our hands here, Healer Newton." Hah, get it? Pins? Needles? Cacti? HE thought it was funny, at least.

Figuring he'd doused the cut in quite enough dittany, Max covered it with a couple of leaves and quickly scribbled some stuff on his parchment.

Question 1: How did the dittany effect the wounds and cuts?
It fixed it.

Question 2: Did you have any issues with administering the dittany to the cuts and wounds?
Nope.

Question 3: Do you thinking swallowing dittany leaves raw would have had a stronger effect on the healing of the wounds and cuts?
I don't know, but I bet they'd taste gross.

Tina had just completed her potion when the lesson moved on to the next activity. She put down her vial and listened closely to Professor Wishart's next set of instructions. Heal the dummies with dittany… she might've guessed. *Not much else the activity could be with this hospital-style setup. This should be no trouble for her! She was used to administering dittany; the kids of Chateau Croyance were always getting cuts and scrapes, especially the younger ones who seemed to think they were little daredevils.

She felt pretty confident until she heard who the dummies belonged to. Her heart gave an uncomfortable jolt at the sound of the headmaster's name. What if something unexpected happened and they were unable to fix the dummies with dittany? Would they get into trouble? What if a dummy got broken… or lost? It wouldn't surprise her, given the odd instances of things disappearing around the castle. The thought of being sent to the headmaster's office over something happening to the dummies had her internally panicking. Honestly, the man terrified her half the time, and the other half, he was just plain obnoxious!

Focus, Tina! she told herself sternly, willing her breathing to return to normal. If she kept panicking, she couldn't pay attention to Professor Wishart's directions… and lack of direction meant a greater chance of something bad happening. Okay… 3 drops essence of dittany and 1-2 leaves on the wounds, got it! She doubted she'd forget the dosage, but she made sure to copy it in her notes, just in case.

Work in pairs? Nope, that wasn't going to happen! Tina was a lone wolf. She didn't want her grade affected by anyone slowing her down! Gathering her notes, potion, and dittany leaves, she moved to the nearest available dummy. Her eyes surveyed the dummy up and down; she didn't even flinch at the sight of the injuries. There were worse things in life than a few flesh wounds!

Wasting no time, Tina started with the cuts on the dummy's left arm. She gently tipped her vial over the nearest wound, carefully administering 1… 2… 3 drops of potion to the nearest wound. The cut was already shrinking. and she hadn't even applied any leaves yet! She placed a dittany leaf over the area and examined it again a few seconds later. The cut was gone, leaving only a scar behind. Hmm… Tina wondered if applying the second leaf would minimize the scarring. *She decided to give it a try, and sure enough, the scar vanished!

Tina continued treating the wounds on the dummy's left side until all that remained was a small cut on its left ear… so small that at first she didn't even know it was there. After three drops of potion were applied, it was practically invisible, but Tina was nothing if not thorough. The directions specifically said 3 drops essence of dittany and 1-2 leaves, so that's what she was going to do, even if she personally didn't think both steps were necessary.

After she finished that, Tina moved so she could get a better look at the dummy's right side, and what she saw made her gasp and nearly her drop her supplies in shock - an extremely rare outward display of emotion for this Ravenclaw! Four long cuts, impossible to see from the angle where was standing before, marked the right side of the dummy's face. Just like… No no no, she couldn't let herself think about that now! She tried to block out the thought, but her anger was already rising. That injury had better be a coincidence! If it was someone's idea of a joke… well, to put it mildly, *it wasn't funny.

Tina decided now would be a good time to start jotting down her findings so far… give herself a chance to calm down. She could come back to the facial wounds if she had time, and if not, she hoped Professor Wishart wouldn't knock too many points off her grade for not finishing. With a shaking hand. she wrote in her notes:

Text Cut: Tina's findings
Name: Tina Dantes
Year: 5th
House: Ravenclaw

Question 1: How did the dittany effect the wounds and cuts?

The essence of dittany greatly reduced the size of the wound and, in the case of the smallest cut, essence of dittany alone was enough to make it disappear. Adding the 1-2 dittany leaves healed up the rest of the cuts and helped to minimize scarring.

Question 2: Did you have any issues with administering the dittany to the cuts and wounds?

None so far, though the cuts on the right side of the dummy's face could be problematic when I get around to them. They appear deeper than the other wounds. I think healing those will take more than 3 drops essence of dittany & 1-2 dittany leaves but am unsure how to approach it. Do I repeat the process of alternating essence of dittany and dittany leaves or add more of one thing?

Question 3: Do you thinking swallowing dittany leaves raw would have had a stronger effect on the healing of the wounds and cuts?

Maybe for the facial injuries? I don't know for sure because I haven't had a chance to treat them and see how the topical dittany application will react. Otherwise, no. All other cuts and wounds were small and shallow enough that the combination essence of dittany and dittany leaves healed them effectively.

Was it just Abra's imagination, or was his finger starting to feel a little tingly, in a mildly unpleasant, burning sort of way. Mildly alarmed, he wiped off as much of the "Essence of Dittany" onto his robes, just in case it was that that was doing it, but the tingling only continued. Maybe he should have worn his dragonhide gloves. And as for the dummy. Well.

Was it supposed to be... um... sizzling?

And... smoking... oh... oh no...

"S-sorry!" Abra said to the dummy, completely needlessly of course. But he couldn't help but feel bad that he'd applied a potion that was apparently eating away at the wound rather than, you know, helping fix it, even if it was on something that couldn't feel it.

Thank Merlin they weren't practicing on real people though, right?

Abra wasn't entirely sure what to do about this sizzling and smoking problem. He tried Aguamenti to wash off the dittany, as he didn't want to touch it again with his own hand, but all that did was make the dummy all wet, effectively adding insult to injury. He tried placing a few leaves over the smoking wound to see if that made any difference or helped to heal it, but mostly, Abra was writing off this entire thing as a disaster. He added a few leaves to some of the other cuts on the dummy - which, mercifully, did their job - then gave up.

For a few moments, Abra abandoned the dummy to go back to his schoolbag and dig through the mess in there to find his trusty Spell Check Quill, before returning to the now smouldering dummy to write his notes. He squinted at each question in turn, re-reading them all at least three times to make sure he understood correctly, not wanting to make a mess of yet another thing in this lesson.

Yes

Question 3: Do you thinking swallowing dittany leaves raw would have had a stronger effect on the healing of the wounds and cuts?
Better than my potion, yes.

Swedishfish Girl! Madame Librarian! Jess's Soul Sister! Sweetest Swede!

Professor Wishart looked up at the clock above the greenhouse door as the last of the students finished healing their dummy patients.

Fluttering futterbies where had the time gone, the should have ended 10 minutes ago!

"All right everyone, great work with caring for your dummy patients wounds and cuts! Class is dismissed. Clean up your worktables, leave the excessive dittany leaves in the open box on my desk and spill out your potions in the sinks at the back befofe you leave." Joshua didn’t want the students to be late to lunch, plus he needed to eat himself before his next class.

"Look out for you homework assignment on dittany, it’ll be up on the noticeboard’s by the end of the week. Remember those of you that have plants in student oasies to care for them! If anyone is interested in helping me with picking out and cutting some trees for christmas then come by my office after lunch on sunday." Joshua watched the student’s work, his eyes lingered extra on those student’s that he knew we’re big on cleaning up after themsleves. ”Read chapters 3 and 4 for next week because there will be a pop quiz.”

How many of the student’s that would have studied he’d know next week. Now he needed some food, hopefully the elves had made some warming carrotsoup.

OOC: Class dismissed! Thank you for participating everyone! You have an extra 12 hours or so to wrap up/catch up activities before i lock the lesson.

Question 1: How did the dittany effect the wounds and cuts?
The leaves seemed to heal the wounds faster than the potion

Question 2: Did you have any issues with administering the dittany to the cuts and wounds?
Not as many as I was prepared for

Question 3: Do you thinking swallowing dittany leaves raw would have had a stronger effect on the healing of the wounds and cuts?
I would think so but like ginkgo leaves too much might be toxic?

Patrick scrambled around to write his answers down he had been to entranced in watching the healing effects that he hadn’t even realized their time went over. He handed over the paper and cleared his area. He was all ready to go when he heard a pop quiz next week.

With a groan he shouldered his bag, threw his beanie on and turned toward professor Wishart. “Have a good day Professor. And thanks for the pop quiz.” he was fairly certain he wasn’t supposed to know about a quiz for it to be pop but he wouldn’t say anything he hoped he did just fine.
