Skyler was always in for a surprise at the muggle studies class room. Being a pure blood, she never really felt a need to explore muggle London. She blinked. She's heard of computers but has never seen one before. She walked up to one of them, feeling her hand across the keyboard.
"Hello professor," she said looking up.

Jessa had never particularly liked muggle studies....but she had never necessarily disliked It either—until this term. This however had less to do with the material and more to do with the professor. While she had grown rather wary of Stewart, she considered the woman from a largely neutral standpoint. Replacing Hirsch was just the thing to push her over into the category of actually not being liked in the least.

Unfortunate, really.

Jessa entered the classroom looking none too enthused but she hadn’t looked enthused about these lessons since the muggle debacle in which she found out where the woman’s headspace really was concerning certain statute topics.

”Hello Professor.” She greeted politely enough before taking a seat aaaaaallllll the way in the back. Out of sight out of mind was what she was hoping for. This seat was about the furthest she could get without sitting outside the room.

Here she fixed her gaze outside the window and prepared for the worst; understimulation. Idly, she wondered if these machines had internet on them. It was one of the more interesting things about visiting her mother

A professor who didn't make Lucas feel on edge. Nice. And Muggle Studies was so easy. He enjoyed it and how freeing it felt sometimes. "Hello, Professor Stewart." He sent her a smile and a slight wave. The red-haired boy took a seat near Skyler. His female housemate always seemed so nice. "Hey Skyler," he said softly, slinging his bag to the ground and getting comfortable in his seat. No touching the computers yet!

He noticed Jessa, too, but she was like...trying to hide or something. He supposed he didn't really blame her in the current climate.

Come on, be a good lesson. He really needed something GOOD to happen. Especially since it had taken a loooooong time for those boils to disappear from his forehead.

Oh hey, they were working with computers today!

Lucas was very much starry-eyed as he walked into this classroom setup. It wasn't because of the computers themselves but what they meant: that this was going to be an EXCITING lesson. That it was going to have an interesting topic and hopefully, he could almost feel like he was back at home again. Almost.

The greeting part was still something that left him feeling uncomfortable in his stomach but there was a bright side to this: if he made a fool of himself now, only three people would know about it - four including the Professor. Which, when he thought about it, wasn't bad, yeah? And it wasn't as if he didn't know the Professor. He just..... didn't know her well.

So, it was with a deep breath and a small mental chant that he said, "Hello, Professor." There. Nice and simple. And even better, he could go and sit by a computer in an empty row and make himself comfortable.

Josie walked into class with a bit less energy than usual, she was actually attempting to have some kind of social life this year, and the fourteen year old was actually finding it quite draining, and she'd had no luck... unless you counted the four obnoxious siblings she had wandering around somewhere. Luckily not in this class apparently.

She nodded to her professor as she walked in, "Hello professor." She gave a small tired smile before heading to her usual seat.

Dorian was pumped up as he made his way to muggle studies. The SORE trainings each early morning were starting to pay off and if he had to be honest, he had began to like them. Of course he wouldn't admit this out loud because it seemed that most of Hogwarts still hated it.

It wasn't every day that the entertainment room was used as a classroom and the moment that Dorian had found this out he was excited for the lesson. Because what if they were going to be gaming all lesson?! That be awesome.

The fourteen year old straightened his tie and he tucked on the bottom of his uniform shirt to look more presentable and entered the room. And seeing the setup of the room nearly made him squeak. "Hello Professor Stewart" he greeted the woman with a small smile. "Please tell me we're going to play some zombie video games?"

However much Dezi Willard loved being a wizard -- and he really did, almost as much as he loved West Ham --, Muggle Studies was probably his favourite class. Ever. He hardly had to study and he was never confused. In fact, he spent most of the time stifling his giggles over the weird answers his classmates gave. He truly wasn't one for empathy or understanding. It was just so, so funny to see what some wizards did when faced with a map of the London tube.

But his excitement only increased when he walked into the classroom that day to find .... GASP. Computers! The second year did indeed gasp loudly and pointed excitedly to the student coming in after that. "Look!! It's computers!!" Did they have Internet? Could he maybe sneak five seconds to do a quick google search? Nothing too serious, just wondering if it was normal for his socks to stink that badly or if it was a sign he was ill. He was going to write to his Mother but now maybe he didn't have to!

Hogwarts was awesome.

Also, he needed to check the football scores. West Ham had played Fulham the previous weekend, you see?

"Hey, Miss ... Professor!" He chirped brightly as he moved into the classroom and found himself a nice little seat in front of the computer. Hiiiiiiii, boo.

Natasha entered the room, smiling excitedly to see they would be working with computers. Being raised in the muffle world, she already had a decent understanding of most electronics. In fact, her main reason for taking the class was for perspective. She wanted to see how the wizarding community viewed muggles.

"Hello Professor." She said politely, then went to her seat. As eager as she was to get started, she knew to leave the computer off until told otherwise.

"Hey Lucas," Skyler said standing by her seat. She stopped running her hand along the keys. The last thing she needed was to run laps for being curious. Jeez. What has Hogwarts come to?
"I've never seen a computer before," she said blushing at slight embarrassment.

There were some very complicated feelings about Muggle Studies, as far as Stasya was concerned, and none of them had anything to do with how exhausted she was finding herself this term. She’d had advance warnings about OWL year, but nobody could have warned her about dealing with it along with all the new rules placed on them by the headmaster. OWLs, Team Animagus work, helping out in the barns during free periods…She’d expected that, and she’d expected the prefect duties. That is, if those had stayed the same as they’d had last term, but instead, it seemed like the headmaster wanted even more of them. She was halfway convinced that the little black notebooks he’d left in the prefect bathroom for them had some sort of spell that told him exactly where they were at any moment and subsequently knew if they were anywhere near trouble happening. It wasn’t that she particularly was worried about having the power to dock points, it was the idea that they were expected to find people breaking the rules. Which brought her back to thinking about the complicated feelings about Muggle Studies.

As a subject, she didn’t mind it. She wasn’t horrible at it, and it wasn’t like she had never experienced Muggle culture outside of class. No, it was more that she had complicated feelings toward the professor. Last term, she’d distrusted her, given the lingering trauma over having been possessed and the professor’s involvement in that. However, this term she nearly liked her, and above all she didn’t want Professor Stewart’s vocal protesting of the circumstances of the term to end up with her being dismissed. The concept of consequences had become infinitely more terrifying.

At least she didn’t have to worry about breathing wrong, as she’d walked into the Entertainment room for the next lesson. Plus, she was very familiar with that room, courtesy of having fallen asleep inside several times last term with Koen. The change to the room had been very evident, therefore, but she’d still sent the professor a bright smile as she made her way to an open seat near Lucas. “Good morning Professor Stewart!”, she said just as brightly, before giving the little firstie next to her a smile too.

Muggle studies a subject she was sure she was going to quite well in, her mum was a Muggleborn and taught her alot about muggle things. Stella also went to a muggle school before this, but like that mattered. Although she wondered how muggle things worked here at Hogwarts, guess that was why they had this class or one of them right? None the less she was excited to see what they were learning about, hopefully this class won't be bad like their Divinations class. Walking shyly into the classroom she looked around and saw computers.

" Hello Professor Stewart hope you're well." she said a bit shyly not knowing how she'll act. With the Headmaster and the Divinations Professor being cold, she was scared all of them would be. Although she knew that wasn't true Professor Marchand who was her head of house was really nice, maybe all of them weren't soulless.

Taking a seat beside her fellow housemate Lucas. " Hey, how are you feeling? I seen you doing pushups in Divinations looked brutal." she said frowning. Seeing the older Lucas she met at the playground in Diagon Alley she waved at him.

A class with a professor she knew or at least she felt she knew. The little second year wasn't fully sure what she believed anymore. Walking in quietly she glanced up before looking to the ground again, "Hello Professor"

Less eye contact was good right or was it more eye contact, she was second guessing everything and the anxiety of making things worse was getting to her. Finding a seat in the middle of the room she turned and stared at the chair before looking towards everyone else. They were sitting so it was okay, right?

"We are allowed to sit, aren't we professor?"


Should she have asked that? Maybe she'd be made to run or do something else for just even asking. A shiver went through her as she kept her eyes down and looking at the seat.

Muggles Studies! It was one of the few OWLs he had actually passed during his first sitting, though he had retaken it with the rest when he had resat them over the summer. And it was another he would be seeing through until NEWT level, though it only bore slight necessity to what he needed for university scores. Mostly he just wanted a class that allowed him to relax somewhat and he had the free periods to fill since he had dropped a few other subjects. Dad was essentially raised muggle despite being a pureblood - adopted and all that - so he knew loads about things and, well, the practicals were mostly all in good fun. So, yes, a relaxation class - especially in light of this term - was essential.

Even if he was still VERY skeptical about the professor given all the possession and the length of which she had been under the influence of Dark magic.

"Hiya, professor," he greeted with a small wave of the hand - REALLY relaxing as he entered the room - before making his way over to one of the vacant seats beside Stasya....and by extension first year Gryffindor boy and ofirst year Gryffindor girl. "Hey," he grinned, setting his bag down on the floor next to his seat and glancing at the computer screen. Though his attention soon swiveled back around to look at Stasya - though he overheard the conversation between the first years about push ups and...Divination.

But...anyway.

"Hey, after we finish our patrol later...you wanna go down to the grounds and practice runes again?" She would know what that meant.

Muggle Studies was one class that Archer expected herself to do well in, if only because her dad was a muggle. It also helped that this professor was a lot nicer than, say, Professor Fletcher, who had push-ups ready for anyone who so much as looked at him wrong seemingly. It was with this thought in mind that she entered the classroom, er, the Entertainment Room (how had she not known they had one of those?) and plopped down in front of one of the computers and pushing the button to start it up with a "Hey, professor." Nope, she didn't notice anything different about the room because she'd literally only found about the room a few minutes ago.

Also, the Ravenclaw (Chloe) got something of a 'seriously?' look. She had been in classes the past few weeks, right?

Penny was CERTAIN that she had found more hair in her brush than usual that morning. This new regime was stressing the fourth year out to the point that she was having trouble sleeping and eating normally. And if she was going bald now...well she'd be owning her man quickly to pull her from the school! Yep.

The Hufflepuff stepped into the room and glanced around a bit before moving further. Her voice was small and unsure as she greeted the professor. "Hello... pr-professor," she stammered in little more than a whisper before averting her eyes. She had no CLUE which professors were adhering to the ridiculous rules and who were not. STRESS!

Also, luck would have it while she was rushing to a seat she found herself next to The Loud Gryffindor. Perfect. He stressed her out too.

Bleary eyed and tired, Daehyun made his way to the Muggle Studies lesson like a tape on slow motion - he'd left early just for that! He obviously needed to do something about the new workout routine and make one of his own - if Scrimgeour was right about one thing, it was that he was in a really bad shape. But his bed always looked more welcoming than an extra lap around the pitch to increase his endurance.

He'd mustered up a smile for professor Stewart, though, as he greeted her. "Hello, professor." Having never been exposed to a muggle environment and way of living, he was absolutely terrible with all things muggle, but having a great professor made him enjoy the lessons.

Well, that was until he saw all the computers.

Sure, he'd seen them before, but never actually used them.

As he plopped onto the nearest seat to the door - why yes, he couldn't move one extra step - he eyed the thing warily. He'd never understood how all these things were powered up, and it quite scared him to think they knew so much, when they were neither living beings, nor books.

Oh, it was going to be a fun lesson. For professor Stewart watching him fail with those, that is.

Peeking her head into the Muggle Studies classroom was the FIRST step into her new found plan on figuring out what the class was about…oh, computers? They had computers? Were they battery operated or something? She wondered for a moment as she made her way into the room.

”Hello Professor Stewart” she nodded over to the Professor before pushing further into the room and looking around. Dezi her faux-twin got a wave and Stellabella got a gin. ”hey Stella,” she grinned before making her way over to sit next to Daehyun.

”hello friend,” she beamed as she reached over and playfully fluffed the gryffindor third year’s hair. ”mind if I sit here? No…good, because it’d be sad, so very sad if my best friend didn’t want to sit next to me” she grinned as she settled into the seat and simply turned to look at him.

Did he catch it? Eh. Eh?

Rylee was feeling more like herself this morning and it showed as she entered the entertainment room. There was a gentle spring in her step and a warm smile on her face. "Morning, Professor Stewart!" she greeted instantly, seeking out the women right away as per usual.

"We're working with computers today? Awesome!" Seriously! This just made her day a whole lot better. Spotting Dorian already seated, Rylee wandered over towards him and plopped herself down beside him on the bench. "Hey, Declan," she teased quietly. "Think we'll be learning how to program our own games?" Did he remember how they had talked about that last term in this very room while playing video games?

Chances were slim that they would be playing video games today but getting to work on computers was just as cool and whatever was going to happen she was ready for. Bring on the fun professor!

Lucille released a breath as she strode into the room. Computers. So normal. So muggle. She inhaled and exhaled and made her way towards a computer that was free and away from everyone else and at the edge of the row so that way she could put her bag on the seat next to her to prohibit anyone from sitting there.

That accomplished, her first instinct was to turn on the computer, but she pulled her hand back from it before she did. Instead, she raised her hand up. "Hello, professor Stewart," she greeted shyly, her cheeks turning a bit rose color. When she felt her cheeks tingle, Luce diverted her gaze from the pretty woman and focused on the wall above her head. "Could I--may I--uhm, may I turn on the computer?"

She had pen pals to reply to.

" Good morning, Professor. ", Callum said with a smile. Muggle studies was one of the easier classes and therefor he was always a bit more relaxed when in this classroom. " Looks like it's gonna be a beautiful day out.. "


After greeting his teacher he turned and saw all the computers on the desks and decided to pick a spot near the rear of the room.

Muggle Studies, no matter who’s far ahead or behind Julie was in her other classes there was always something to learn here. Something fresh and new to pique her curiosity.

It was, far and above her favorite subject and Jessa Cambridge’s presence was not going to disrupt her today. embarrassment? Uncomfortable feelings? Remorse? Julie had never felt that- didn’t knew that- and would never be that- no, not at all.

The Slytherin stepped into the impromptu classroom with her chin out and a (rehearsed) smirk on her lips. Like a well-bred cat with a secret, and choose a seat two stations ahead of Jessa so she could a: look out the window onto the grounds if she fancied, and b: avoid looking at the other young woman all together. It was a fantastic decision and Julie quietly applauded herself even as her belly flipped and twisted. She took a deep breath as she settled into her quiet station and tried to distract herself with looking over the computer before her. Thanks to this class and several trips made to this very room Julie was comfortably familiar with the electronic device before her and, with help from Linc Pace, had even managed to use the thing once or twice.

It was not to say she knew anything at all about how it worked internally or even how to turn it on without someone else’s help, but the seventh year was confident in her abilities and was certain she’d figure it out one way or the other. Julie happened a glance about the room and spied Derfael joining a bunch of younger years and Stasya. She smiled at the Hufflepuff and offered him a soft wave of hello before turning her eyes to Professor Stewart.

“Hello Professor, nice day for a lesson indoors, isn’t it?” Julie, of course, was joking.

Abra was exhausted. It was like a permanent state of being for him these days, and he blamed S.O.R.E. entirely. Okay, sure, he probably wouldn't be so tired if he got into the habit of going to sleep before the early hours of the morning, but no matter how tired he was in the mornings, no matter how ready to drop he got during the day, by the evening he always had a second wind and didn't want to waste it by sleeping through it, especially when that was the only time he felt really awake to attempt his homework. But actually admitting any of that meant accepting responsibility for his tiredness, and Abra wasn't really willing to do that.

"Good morning, Professor Stewart," Abra greeted the professor as he entered the room, stifling a yawn and giving his head the occasional shake to try and wake himself up a bit. Hopefully the lesson would be engaging enough that he didn't drop off, but Abra headed for a seat at the back of the room anyway, just in case. Settling himself at a computer not too far from Jessa, he stowed his bag under his chair and waited for the lesson to begin.

As he placed his stuff like notebook, pen and textbook on to the desk, Dorian realised that he was not sitting alone anymore. The fourteen year old grinned slightly at the nickname that one of the house elves had given him by accident. "Hey Rosie" he replied back and when he heard her next question, he gasped. Loudly.

"I did not even think of that! That be SO cool!" he turned to look at the Professor and then back to Rylee and sighed defeatedly. "I doubt it though, i think we'll be learning the basics of a computer...." which meant that he was going to get bored pretty soon....

Muggle Studies had kinda been his favourite, not because of the subject itself but because he could never really take it seriously - it always felt like a great pastime. So with that in mind, the new Slytherin made his way to the entertainment room.

"Morning Professor," he greeted her as he scanned the crowd and decided to go sit next to one of the girls (Stasya) he knew were from his year - who he greeted with a small nod and a grin. His was nothing but social after all.
