| | |  Clock Tower Entrance
 The Clock Tower Entrance is one of the three main entrances of Hogwarts Castle (the other two being the Viaduct Entrance and the main Entrance Hall). It aligns with the third-floor corridor, connecting with the courtyard that stems off to the Wooden Bridge and the rest of the school grounds. This large open space can be magically sealed with a portcullis and the massive double doors can be locked with numerous bolts.
At the base of the Clock Tower is a large window that may cause you to question why it is even there as all you can see out of it is the side of a building. Fortunately for you, the massive steel and iron pendulum swinging back and forth will likely pull you out of trying to figure out that mystery. If you look closely at the suspended weight, an imprint of a many armed star in the middle and a number of runic symbols on the outer rim can be seen. Study the purposeful design on the pendulum as long as you like. Just don't fall into temptation of swinging from it and pretending to be a wrecking ball.

Slate stood up straight after catching his breath. Okay. It wasn't like he was helpless or anything. He was an upperclassmen and as such, his duty was to be around in times of crisis.
"I'll be fine, Tinka." he said reassuring the house elf. He was pretty sure anyway. About as fine as any Hogwarts student would be. He was touched by the amount the little elf cared though.
He looked around when he heard noises from the other end of the grounds. He adjusted his stance, more firm and determined.
"I'm here to help." he said glancing at the caretaker. He narrowed his eyes as he stared off into the distance.
What were the chances that they'd get in a different way and surprise them from the back?

Kirk had been gazing out the window, getting his last moments of studying in when he saw the looks of Inferi entering through the grounds area. It was crazy and then knowing where anything could happen.. He could hide in his dorm or help out. Did he really want to hide though? Sure, his parents would appreciate that and it would keep him safe and all... But with his current plans on where he was going after graduating, the last thing he'd feel proud to share was knowing he survived Hogwarts by staying cozy. Nah, he was going to help out if needed... especially after hearing a distant scream.
On his way to what may have seemed like he was heading to his dorm, Kirk searched around looking at any other possible entry points and wherever that scream came from. Despite the current level, there was no ruling out where anything could enter in from. That's when he passed by the Clock Tower entrance and saw one of the house elves, the caretaker, oh and a younger Slytherin. Was that who screamed?
Practically dropping his bag (in a safe spot), Kirk retrieved his wand out. "Hey." Not really needing to explain his passing by, "Mind another helping hand?" Sure it was in a question form, but it was purely rhetorical when the eighteen-year-old just about stepped in to assist.

Heading down from the astronomy tower, Steph had seen the inferi invasion unfold. She knew it wasn’t safe to head to her common room; if one hadn’t already been there. By now, the creatures would most likely be at the doors of the castle. Making it to the third floor, Steph figured it was a good idea to stop there. Any closer and the inferi could easily attack her without hesitation or warning. Heading towards the clock tower, she saw a familiar face; and it wasn’t the groundskeeper. ”Slate? Need any more helping hands?”

More studenties were arriving, which only had the elf on higher alert. She could smell the smoke from burning fires and wondered how badly damaged the castle was. "Tinka smell smoke. Tinka think studentsies need stand back from entrance and stay safe." She waved her whisk at them so show them how serious she was.
"Miss Stephanie and Mr. Kirk, go stand by Mr. Slate and ready wand. Make fire if Inferi come. Yes? Studentsies make fire?" She hoped they were well enough skilled to produce fire if they should come under attack.
Tinka faced out, looking for any signs of movement. "Schmoop! Tinka like Schmoop watch from behind. See Inferi come from inside to warn studentsies. Tinka look outsides." She was thankful the cookie sheet wielding elf was there to help.

Juni had been sitting in the library (of course) trying to do some last minute cramming. When the word of an attack on the school reach her ear. Clearly she had left and found as many others as she could and rounded them up and out of the library. That was the last place that she was staying. Knowing that there were younger kids and such there too.
She had watched much of the action from the window that was going on the ground. She had her small group heading out of the library. She had talked most of the youngest into staying in their common rooms. Most of the others had ran into their friends on the way and went with them. By the time the fifth year had made it to the third floor she was walking alone. Hopefully the inferi hadn’t entered the castle yet.
She kept her eyes out for Slate, she was worried when she hadn’t seen him yet. At this point Juni had no idea if they had entered the castle weather it was through the entrance hall or through the clock tower. Which happened to be on the floor she was on. When she heard a scream, she had assumed that they had gotten in through the clock tower.
Clenching her hand around her wand she headed toward the clock tower. It wasn’t until she had gotten close that she realized that it was not a complete battle going down. In fact there was just a small group standing there. The caretaker, Kirk, Steph, two house elves and Slate. To her relief he was there too. She snaked her way into the group and stopped right beside of Slate. She remained quiet but she was here and ready help when the time came. She nodded to the others as well acknowledging that she was there and had their backs.

And just like that there were more people. They were soon joined by a 7th year, then Steph, and finally...
"Juni." he said nearly breathless when seeing her. He learned over and gave her a quick kiss before squeezing her hand. Yes, he wanted her to be safe barricaded somewhere in the castle. But he was also glad that she was here, with him, and that he knew where she was.
He looked around anxiously, hand on his wand as he heard the sounds in distance.
And suddenly... he didn't hear anything but silence. He looked around at the others.

Though they had all waited on the Inferi army to attack the Clock Tower, no forces had made their way here. Sylvia was proud of the students and House Elves alike for even volunteering to put themselves in harms way.
She watched as the Inferi made their way back into the water. She had no clue what made them retreat, but she was so glad the students with her weren't put in harms way. "Their leaving...," She said more to herself than anyone else. "I think they have retreated everyone." She turned to look at all the students around her.
Unfortunately, she would now have to send them back to their common rooms. "Alright everyone, I am so proud of you for volunteering to help guard the castle, but it looks like the battle is over. Please, go back to your common rooms. I am sure there will be many injured students and professors alike, and we need to get them to the hospital wing as quickly as possible." She shewed them with her hands. "Go on now, I got to get down to the entrance and see what damage has been done! Go on!" She shewed them away again, and waited until the very last student was out of sight.

Keeping her ears on high alert, she listened as the battle sounds abruptly came to an end. The sounds of fighting turned into the slow muffled sounds of the Inferi walking away. It appeared to be over.
Tinka turned to face the studentsies, tears in her little pink eyes, but was unable to speak. They had risked their lives to protect Hogwarts not knowing if they would face battle or not. They were such a brave group of studentsies.
Once the caretaker finished shooing them away, Tinka was able to relax with great relief. "Tinka thanksies Ms. Grimblehawk. Ms. Grimblehawk stand with Tinka and Schmoop protect studentsies and Hogwarts." She then turned to Schmoop. "Tinka and Schmoop have lots of worksies to do. Studentsies hurt, need food."
With one last wave of her whisk out towards the grounds, she vanished with a *POP*

Hmm..right. Kirk nodded as he had went into the proper position. Just as fellow teammate Juni arrived, she got a sup nod in return. He was well in tuned with his spells and no trouble being ready for whatever came at them. He hadn't considered the time it would be getting ready that he started wondering if everything was alright..
The Caretaker just about confirmed that the Inferi had left, they were safe after all. He didn't pocket his wand though, even after being told that they were to head to their common rooms. Kirk instead tuned more into hearing that there might be injured students that need healing. Yes... he should go. He gave everyone a last look before heading towards the staircase downstairs to help.

As her eyes welled with tears, she smiled down at the little creature and said, "No, thank you Tinka for being so brave and being the first one here." She then turned to Schmoop as well. "Thank you, Schmoop for coming to help as well. I don't know what I would have done without you two if we actually had gotten attacked." She wiped a tear from her cheek, "Oh yes, you go ahead! I need to check and see what kinda of damage we have and then I am going to go see if I can help Healer Macmillian with the injured." She waved as Tinka vanished into thin air.
As the last of the students made their way out of the area, Sylvia quickly made her way down the stairs to the Entrance Hall to see if she could find out any information.

To be honest Juni didn’t think that the inferi would have made it to the clock tower entrance, unless the horde had somehow split up and headed off this way. Relieved that that wasn’t the case… yet though. She sent Slate a small smile and squeezed his hand. They were okay, which was great. She glanced up at him, then her attention went back to the entrance where
That was it? The inferi were retreating… relieved but why. They had came and gone for what seemed like a short time but in reality it was a mere few hours. ”They’re gone.” was the only thing she could say. She looked around after all of the others had left. Slate was still there though and she was still holding his hand… or squeezing it.
She looked at him. Still glad that he was okay, but she was worried about her friends Chloe, Farah and of course others that seem to not come to her at the moment. She had to go find them, or at least know by word of mouth or see them to believe that they were okay too. ”I’m going to the Hospital wing.” She said to him. Since she was already on the third floor the Hospital wing was just around the corner plus she wasn’t going to admit it but she needed a calming draught after witnessing that.
She leaned in and give him a huge hug. Hopefully he would go straight back to his common room and stay. If they were to come back at least he would be safe. Although she wouldn’t be a 110 percent shocked if he followed her to the hospital wing. She let go of him and started to head toward the hospital wing.
