Ravenclaw The Library

Stretching out across a section of the common room sits a unique library of sorts. With floor to ceiling bookshelves, this mini library belongs strictly to Ravenclaw Tower and, as such, are as unique as its inhabitants. Books on your everyday subjects can be found here, with extra copies of textbooks placed in case anyone needs it. However, the library also holds many books on other, more unique subjects: books on lesser-known sports, arts and craft and even music sheets can be found here. After all, knowledge doesn't stop short at school subjects, does it?

What's particularly amazing to note about this library is what's in the bookshelves themselves. Some of these books have been passed down from older Ravenclaw students who don't need them anymore. Their notes and other wise words can still be seen etched into margins and crammed on spare pieces of parchment in the books themselves.

Near the library sits a few comfortable armchairs and sofas, each near their own little lamps for the person who wants to do a spot of midnight reading.

Yeah I broke that mirror, so what? ll NOT backward ll Official Gryfferin ll Lemon's favourite

Not it. Not it...Hmm.....no, still not it.

Jessa pulled herself across the vast bookshelf on the moving ladder, searching title after title with little success. How hard was it to find the book she was looking for? Surely something like that couldn't only be found in the Restricted Section--not when Ravenclaw Library had already proven to have such a wide array of books available.

She paused at a copy that looked interesting enough. It didn't look like it'd be the sort to delve too deep into tampering with necromancy but maybe it'd be useful in her down time so she stuck it under her arm before continuing her search.

Perhaps she would ask Professor Hirsch if he had any books on the topic. He'd been involved in that research however long ago. It was likely he still kept some of the materials--unless it'd all gone so badly that the man sought to permanently rid his life of anything even remotely related.

Here's to hoping he had a stronger stomach than that, otherwise it really would be going to see Mr. Kennedy and hoping he was in a good enough mood.

JP looked up bashfully noticing that an older student was determined to find something. He approached slowly. "Hi.. You look like you're trying to find something. Can I help??"

She didn't hear the "Hi", in fact, it was safe to say that Jessa Cambridge hadn't heard most anything the Firstie said, but the last word caught her attention. After months of Prefecting, the young girl had somehow become hypersensitive to the word. It didn't matter who said it, or why, somehow she just seemed to be hearing it more and more. Thankfully, having had her attention grabbed, her brain had begun working backward to figure out anything that may have come right before that.

The only sense she could make was him.....offering help? Oh. Well that wasn't nearly such a hassle and she found the muscles in her body relaxing again.

"Sure, if you'd like." She chirped, looking to the bookshelf once more. "You could check the lower shelves. Anything that might talk about Necromancy, animation or the dead would be fabulous."

Meanwhile, she would continue searching the top and middle ones until something else popped out at her.
