| | Fifth-Floor Corridor To some the fifth-floor corridor is arguably home to the more interesting corridors at Hogwarts. While it too is decorated with long carpets and various portraits, the statues are just as memorable as the unique nooks and crannies that can be found here. Each of the doors look identical and are evenly spaced out, which can make finding certain rooms difficult. Hopefully that doesn't make you late to Ancient Runes. You know that won't go over well.
In the event that you have some spare time on your hands, do allow yourself to freely wander about -- just don't get lost like Boris the Bewildered. Roaming around, you will see that this particular corridor goes around The Quad and that there is a balcony overlooking the inside of the Clock Tower. Deeper into the fifth floor a casual reading lounge, a storeroom, and an upper hall can be found in addition to Classroom 5B, fondly known for being the headquarters for the Wizard Card Collectors' Club. With a keen eye, who knows what you will find on this floor of the castle!

Honestly. She had forgotten how long it took to get to the seventh floor. Hatit was feeling pretty glad that she was not going to have to come up here too often, not when Leander had graduated. But she was coming up today to try and find a good spot to do some painting. She needed some new spots to do some painting from. Not that didn't love all of her other spots, but she just didn't want her paintings to be all of the same. Nobody would buy them in that case. So the sixth year was walking up to the seventh floor, to try and find a new spot to paint. Maybe she'd do a nice painting of the corridor. It would be cool to do a nice collection of the spaces inside Hogwarts. She made a mental note to try and remember to do that.
But for now, she just walked along the fifth floor corridor. It was nice here, but the view wasn't good enough for painting, so she needed to go higher.

Slowly she started getting familiar with this place. Although sometimes the new badger often got into the wrong floor but that's why she kept every important location in this castle named: classroom, library, music room and etc. on her bullet journal. But still, she tempted to make a handy-dandy map, just in case. Diandra was keen on this plan so she went up to the upper floor of the castle for her little "mapping" project. Maybe if she's done with it, the fourth year could show it to the headmistress and probably she would accept her suggestion to provide the new student with a map because seriously, this place is like a maze. "Okay, so ancient runes classroom is right here..."Walking around the corridor, she murmured to herself while making a rough map on her journal. "And this way is to the... Oops!" Accidentally Diandra bumped into someone. "Oh.... hi, Hattie. I'm so sorry I was just... in the middle of something." She slightly bowed and apologized to the older girl.

One really did not need to do any exercise when there were so many stairs to do here at school. Though she guessed that all of the amazing food that they had might have required them to do a lot of walking. She really had no missed the many stairs she had to do. She really didn't need to be doing quidditch with all the walking. She was only taking one class that was really high up though, so she guessed that she wouldn't be walking up the stairs on a regular basis, apart from when she wanted to paint out of the one of the high towers.
She wasn't really paying attention to where she was going, instead thinking about all the amazing things she was going to paint this year. If she was serious on having a series of the instead of hogwarts she really needed to get painting, since she only had two years left here. She blinked as suddenly she was bumping into someone, or being bumped into someone. "Oh. hey. Don't worry" She mused, smiling at her house mate. That didn't matter. She wasn't really paying attention, so she couldn't blame the girl altogether. I wasn't paying attention either. So.... not all your fault"

It could endangered someone else (well, lucky that nobody got hurt and she was just a small petite girl) and also... it wasn't that comfortable. Heh. "Ah... that's okay, Hattie." The badger just smiled at the older girl. Maybe she needed to continue with her little mapping project. Turning to her journal, Diandra felt her left eye was a bit blurry. Oh no, did she drop her contact lens? It seemed so. "Oh no..." She mumbled to herself. Did it drop when she bumped into Hattie? Perhaps so. Her eyes were fine before that happened. Looking around, Diandra tried to find that little lens on the floor.

But then when she considered it, Diandra hadn't really been paying attention either, so it wasn't just all of her own fault. She girl was in her house though, so she didn't really want to make any enemies in Hufflepuff. Not that she thought Diandra would want to be an enemy after being bumped into, but one could never know. So Hattie just smiled. The other girl seemed okay, so she figured everything was okay. She was just going to try and make sure that she paid more attention to when she was walking around the castle. "Oh...." She tilted her head to the side, and watched Diandra. She wondered what was going on. "Uh... Diandra.... are you okay?" She asked, feeling a little worried about the other girl. Was everything okay?

This wasn't her first time losing contact lenses while walking, but it didn't mean that it happened very often just like... a couple of times. The badger just gave a small nodded to Hattie. "Yeah... One of my contact lenses just dropped to the floor." Diandra said while looking down to find that little thingy. "I guess it just dropped around here." Finding a contact lens was not the easiest job in the word because the lens itself was clear, transparent and not to mention tiny.
After looking around, finally she found the lens not too far from herself. Thank Merlin! "There it is." Picking it up, Diandra took her contact lenses kit from her backpack and rinsed the lens first. Maybe the older puff found it weird, oops. For a moment she forgot that Hattie was there witnessing her.

Maybe the older puff found it weird, oops. For a moment she forgot that Hattie was there witnessing her. Harriet really had no idea what the girl was doing and it was kind of concerning. She looked as if she was looking for something, but she really didn't know what. She couldn't see anything, and it didn't appear as if the younger girl had dropped anything. But oh. She had? "Oh" The blonde mused, a little frown on her lips. She didn't know much about contact lenses, just that they were small and went in your eyes. She also kind of figured that they were hard to find. The more she thought about it, the more she was confused. How did one drop a contact? Didn't they need to be in your eyes. Well. She wasn't about to ask a question about it.
She smiled, tilting her head as she watched the girl clean the eye contact. It seemed interesting, though she was glad that she didn't need to do that. It looked really complicated. "At least you found it!"

"At least you found it!" Being someone who had a case of mild nearsightedness, Diandra had been using glasses before she decided to switch into contact lenses about a year ago. Yes, it was quite a struggle and need a constant care to wear one but at least she didn't really depend on glasses anymore (although sometimes she wear it when she was lazy). "Yes, it doesn't really happen very often just... Sometimes it does." The younger badger mused, explained to her because she might wonder how that happened or just... not. At least Diandra tried not to make this became a quite awkward situation. "Anyway uh... What are you currently doing around here?" She asked Hattie. The older badger didn't seem in a hurry or doing anything. Perhaps she was lost? But well, that wouldn't happen since she had been here for like six years and probably already knew Hogwarts at the back of her hand.

She didn't really understand herself. But that was probably because she didn't wear glasses. She felt quite lucky in that case. She didn't want to wear glasses. She didn't think it would help with her art. Maybe. She wasn't sure. She knew some artists did have glasses, but she wasn't sure about if it would hinder art work. Hopefully she would never have to happen. She was kind of glad Diandra wasn't going to explain how it would happen, because she really didn't feel the need to know how something might fall out of ones eye. "Oh...." She wasn't in a hurry to really. She'd just be having a stroll up towards the seventh floor. "I'm just having a look for new spots to do some paintings of, or from" She explained with a nod. She wanted to make sure her paintings didn't get boring, so new locations were needed.
