Run by:
Emmanuelle Moreau-Ewing - Fashion Designer
Amanda Macmillan-Rastrick - Actor

As you walk out of the Great Hall, the third booth on your left might catch your attention. The purple and gold booth has all sorts of different paraphernalia on it. A microphone, several dress designs, an open book and an actors chair sits there, you might even see a tiny little (working) piano, which you can come up and play should you feel so inclined. The few empty spots on the table are covered in pamphlets from WADA and various other Creative Arts schools.

Despite looking a bit flamboyant, the two women manning the booth are perfectly nice and willing to answer all questions that you might have about their professions. So come on up and don’t be shy, perhaps a career in the Creative Arts is for you?

Zoryn was here for one reason and one reason only: to become A STAR.

She had taken extra time out of her morning (skipped ALL the responsibilities she was meant to take care of) to dress appropriately for the occasion. She had to look as FABULOUS as possible. Zoryn Spinnet was going to make a name for herself today. Today would be the day when people finally gave her the support she DESERVED. Once she wooed the people at the CELEBRITY booth, her future would be set and she could quit school and go do what her heart was CALLING upon her to do.

With a couple of last adjustments to some fly-away hairs, the Gryffindor entered the hall with a PLAN. She held her chin up HIGH and made a bee-line towards the only table she actually cared about. It was of extreme importance that she be the first to arrive to their booth so that they could spend TONS of time talking to her. And Zoryn had no doubt that when they did (talk to her) they would fall in LOVE.

"Hi!" She bounced perkily, giving both women a bright smile. "My name is Zoryn Amari Spinnet. I'm the Gryffindor Quidditch Captain, have a STARING role in the school musical this year, and was one of the stars of the school play last year, too," soooooo she wasn't exactly the star of either show... But there's no reason why they had to know that. "I'm only a fourth year, but soon I'm going to be the next Justine Janvier."

*BEAM*

So, like, could they help her out or what?

Emmanuelle had cleared herself off a small spot on the table in front of her and was drawing furiously on a new design. Got to work when the inspiration hit, or so she always thought. And that was what she was doing when the first student showed up. Or more like, barrelled up. Man, was she ever that excited?

Looking up from where she was bent over her newest design (man, why hadn't they given them chairs?), she smiled a warm smile back at the young Gryffindor Captain. "Well, welcome Miss Spinnet. I'm Emmanuelle Moreau-Ewing." she greeted, her French accent, though faded from her years in Britain, still present.

Ah, an actress. That explained the excitement a little. "I'm not sure how much help I'll be," to her, anyway "since I'm a designer, but I'm sure Amanda here will be happy to help." Seeing as that was the exact field she was in, non?

Zita was exploring, she had been a little less dress to impress after the winter break and a few run-ins, but today, she put her dress to impress outfits and makeup back on and headed down to the job fair. She had let her hair flow down over her shoulder in a loose braid with her very own made flower accessories. She wanted to show off her talent to see if anyone at the fair would like them. This was something she did want to do and hoped to do later on in life.

"Hello" her smile confident as she went to the table, she looked around. "Did you make those?" They were gorgeous and since the muggle studies class, she had been thinking about expanding her designing talents from accessories to clothes. "I'm interested in designing things mainly hair accessories, but possibly clothes as well."

WOOHOOOOOOO, HOGWAAAAAAAARTS!!!!

It had been a WHILE not too long but long enough since the last time Amanda had been there. SHE LOVED THAT PLACE and all of the madness. Man, she missed Hogwarts. Was it still all chaotic and insane most of the time? She bet it was. The only thing she didn't miss about it was all the studying she had to do. Didn't miss that at all.

Were her cousins there? She hoped she would get to see them little rascals.

"COME ON, KIDS, I KNOW YOU WANT TO SHINE! COME AND SPEAK TO US! COME AND SHINE! COME AND SHINE! COME AND SHINE!" The brunette chanted as she slammed her fists on the table in front of her to cause mayhem attract the attention of as many people as possible.

Aha, a young girl had already made a bee-line - yes, Mandy noticed that - and was introducing herself. "GRYFFINDOOOOOR!!!!" The woman shouted, raising both her fists up in the air because THAT WAS THE BEST HOUSE AND SHE WAS SHAMELESSLY BIASED and she didn't care. Yes, her booth-mate was correct: Mandy could help indeed. Yes, she could. "I can see that you are already awesome by default, Zoryn Amari Spinnet. Tell me more about your roles in the school plays!" Mandy was awfully curious. The older witch leaned forward and rested her elbow on the table and her chin on top of her hand as she looked at the young Gryffindor in front of her.

After visiting the quidditch booth, Fiyero's next stop was the creative arts booth. He needed something to fall back on in case he never made a professional quidditch team, and he'd always liked photography. A career in that area might be fun!

His eyes scanned the objects on the table as he approached the booth, but he didn't see a camera or anything that looked like it even remotely had to do with photography. Oh well, he supposed he'd never know until he asked... Hopefully somebody here would be able to help him."Hello," he greeted the two women with a polite smile. "Do you have any information about careers in photography?"

The next student that walked up was thankfully interested in design. And checking out the dresses, which were, in her opinion, some of her best work. "Yes, I did in fact. Do you like them?"

She had only dabbled in accessory making here and there, though nothing she felt confident enough in to sell. "What materials do you use?" Emmanuelle asked genuinely curious. It had to be hard to get materials inside Hogwarts, after all. "Well, what I always tell people is to hone your skills. Take a sewing class or go to a good design school, for instance. Understanding the fabrics and how they move when worn is also very important, as that will help inform your designs." Wait, there were pamphlets here...ah! She selected a few and held them out to the young Slytherin. "These are for some of the best design schools in the world, though most of them are in the States..."

A quick grimace was made at her booth mate as she yelled. Geez, there was no need for that since they were inside.

The next student to approach was curious about photography. A topic she admittedly didn't know much about, as usually any magazine to feature her designs took care of that themselves. But, she was here to help the young Hogwartians, as much as she could. "What kind of photography are you interested in doing?" There was a lot to chose from: fashion, wildlife, event, stock and probably tons more she was forgetting.

Amaia had hoped she could have dragged Hazen along with her, but he was being particularly stubborn and refusing to wake from his nap at the moment - though she had tried her best to entice him to come with and even insisted that he catch up with her later - so she had sauntered down to the job fair solo. Maybe she could run into Astrea or Jessa or Noémi or...well...there were many other people she could hope to run into and meander along with if he continued to show reluctance. She could always bring back whatever pamphlets and bits of information may be useful to him later along with a 'told you so' on there being useful and interesting things worth his time.

Though...as she strolled the various stands it seemed like maybe he would be the one proven right - and she loathed when that happened. The scoreboard between the two of them was pretty even, however.

Figuring that her best shot would be the Creative Arts booth - if not here then she would swing back around to the Wizarding University booth - the fifth year Ravenclaw purposefully ease dropped in on the conversations being had, lightly tucking some of her silky chocolate hair behind her ear. On second thought, probably best Hazen had not accompanied her given the sheer volume the one host was speaking to with the Gryffindor quidditch captain. Browsing the various options brought her to a stop behind another Gryffindor, who was asking about photography. "Would this be where I get information on architectural education?"

Fiyero considered the lady's question. He never thought he'd have to narrow down his passion for photography to just one type of subject. HE thought for a minute. He always liked animals, so maybe wildlife? Or... an idea just occurred to him. If he never made a professional quidditch team, taking pictures of quidditch was the next best thing!

"I was leaning toward event photography," he replied. "Or possible wildlife." Then his eyes fell to he stack of pamphlets. "Do any of these schools offer a photography program?"

Truth be told: Mandy only wanted to talk about Performing Arts. She'd be more than happy to let her 'colleague' deal with all other enquiries, but as Emmanuelle was busy discussing photography with a kid, Mandy thought she'd have to step in when yet another student showed up at their AWESOME, THE MOST FANTASTIC AND INCREDIBLE booth.

"HI there!" She leaned on the table to reply to the girl. "Yes, yes, it is!" As well. "You know you'll have to do A LOT of studying for that, yeah?" The brunette laughed as she started scrambling through some of the stuff on the table - SO MUCH STUFF!!! - and eventually dug out a rather thick brochure. "Tadaaaaaah!!!" She held it up triumphantly then offered it to the girl. "You'll need a degree, but I guess you already know that. Obviously there's only information about Wizarchitecture in there. If you're interested in the Muggle way of doing things you'll have to... I dunno, probably go to a Muggle university or... the equivalent." Was it too obvious Mandy didn't have a good grip on Muggle lifestyle? Woops.

Whatever.

"I love them, they are very beautiful."
As more people came over and took the attention of the ladies Zita kept her eyes on the clothes. Could she ever do something like this? She wanted to,
but she hadn't had much thought about clothes. That might need to change if she really wanted to make it big in the fashion world.

"Flowers mostly, I find them around the castle and place a charm on them to keep them from dying. Then I turn them into crowns, headbands,
and other things. I have some in my hair right now."
She showed the woman the flower barrettes in her braid. "I've started working with leaves lately, weaving them into bracelets." She added glitter and beads to each of her items, but mostly she had a herbology twist to all she made.

Her eyes moved back to the woman as she spoke about what to do. She looked at the pamphlets in her hand. The states wouldn't be that hard since she had once lived there. "What is your inspiration? What made you decide this is what you wanted to do?"

Zoryn was pretty sure that she was AWESOME at getting adults to like her except maybe the adults who were on school staff, but it wasn't like she was trying to impress them in the first place. She was cute, friendly, and confident. What wasn't there to love!?

The Gryffindor kept her enthusiastic smile in place as one of the women from the booth addressed her. "Nice to meet you," she BEAAAAMED, holding her hand out to instigate a handshake. See, Zoryn knew how to be professional (sometimes) (when it mattered). "Oh," man only a designer? Zoryn tried not to let the disappointment show through her voice. "That's still pretty cool! Thanks!" She didn't waste another second in moving to talk to this Amanda person. 'Cause Zoryn NEEEEEEDED to know how to become a STAR asap.

Huh?

One moment Zoryn had been trying her very best to be as professional as possible and the next minute both she and the woman in front of her were cheering for, "GRYFFINDOOOOR!" Zor followed the woman's lead, raising her own fist in the air too. What was happening?! 'Cause Zoryn was LOOOOVING it!

"Well thanks!" Zoryn agreed, 'cause she was AWESOME and had no shame in admitting it. See, only a fellow STAR could recognize true talent right off the bat! Zor felt right at home mhm. "Well," it was time to embellish a little. "This year the play is actually a musical so I have a singing role AND an acting role too," she explained. "I didn't wanna have the starring role 'cause I'm leading our Quidditch Team this year, but I'm still SUPER dedicated and go to all the practices. I've gotta make sure the musical is still awesome, even though I'm not the lead, y'know?" In one explanation she had already shown that she was dedicated, a team player, AND all around the best ever. Man, she was SO good at this.

"Last year since we didn't have Quidditch, I got to spend more time on the play. I even had an entire scene for an interpretive dance about nature, uh, it was her ground dance? That she had forced upon Professor Meyers and made him include in the play... But as far as anyone else was concerned, it was a nature dance. And it was planned. And Zoryn was the star. "It was an audience favorite," she added as an afterthought.

"Do I have to go to WADA to become an actress?"
