This is the sole part of the Castle where Muggle technology can work. Professor Stewart has done her best to incorporate as many fun things in this room as possible for the students and Professors alike to spend their free time. Like the waiting room to her office, these walls are plastered with posters. There are also a few up-to-date computers. Feel free to play games or practice your typing.
There are Ipods with earbuds in various colours. Each Ipod is loaded with a particular genre of music inclusive of rock, pop, Spanish, Italian, Bollywood- pretty much whatever type of music there is. They are labeled to specify the music they contain. In the middle of the room sat arcade game machines. If you don’t fancy playing on the machines, there are gaming consoles that can be hooked up to the televisions. There is a wide selection of DVDs if you fancy a movie or TV series.
HAVE FUN, KIDDOS! Remember not to take any of the items from this room! Professor Stewart WILL know One more thing: Absolutely NO foods or liquids are allowed in this room!

It was a slow Saturday and with the cold weather being experienced, Kay had no desire to take one of her usual walks outside. Instead, she was hunkered down in the Entertainment Room which she had recently renamed. It was slow in this particular room, which wasn't usual. It was probably the Arcade Area. Everyone seemed to be more interested in playing wizarding games now.
This was one of those rare times where the emptiness off the Room didn't bother her. She had her own thoughts and emotions plaguing her. It was January already, almost an entire month since her father died. "Let's not go there,'' Kay told herself sternly. The last thing on earth anyone would catch her doing is dwelling too long on her feelings and talking about it. Beyond the staff and Emmeline knowing of her loss, no one else knew and she intended to keep it that way.
Instead, she busied herself by checking on the equipment kept in the room. After all, they needed to be in tip-top shape for the kiddos while she thought of that task she had to accomplish.
A path is not simply for walking, its purpose lies in moving forward and improving oneself.

Dorian loved saturdays. Why? Because that meant he had some free time because everyone knew that homework was for a sunday preferably late at night to make yourself regret your decision on monday. So despite that there was a bit of homework left to do, the Ravenclaw walked towards the entertainment room instead.
He was surprised when the room was empty apart from one of the professors. The eleven year old made his way instead as he checked out which arcade game he wanted to play first. "The machines aren't broken right?" he asked as he pointed at the one she was checking on.

So far, everything seemed to be in order. This cheered Kay a tad even though she was used to everyone treating the equipment in this room with care. Rarely she had any issues except when a TV would simply refuse to turn on or there was a glitch with the display of a computer screen.
Having nothing to do since all upcoming lessons had been planned and she had already taken Marshmallow for a run around the grounds, Kay was left pondering what she could do to occupy some of her free time. "Maybe a movie?'' Titanic, her absolutely favourite movie, came to mind. But then... Dorian! At least one kiddo was here. "Hello, Mr Katharos. Thank goodness none are.'' The professor couldn't help but cast a ghost of a smile at Dorian. He was so adorable. "Which game do you want to play? While you're doing that, you can tell me about your first year so far.'' She was always interested in that topic.

Dorian was glad that the machines worked and that he hadn't wasted his time climbing down the stairs and getting lost only once! He said a polite Hello back to the Professor before he looked around the room. Now that she was asking him questions, it would be rude to play a game on his own so he searched for something that two people could play. "Is there an airhockey table?" he asked. "My dad and i used to play that every week at the arcade close to my home" he wanted to play that because he knew he was good at it and he always played to win.
Huh? Tell her about how his first year was going. Well, he could do that. He appreciated it even because it was a different kind of question. Usually it was the 'how are you!' Question and even when he had a bad day he would lie and say he was fine but talking about his year so far gave him a reason to speak more. "Well, i went fishing in the Great Lake and this HUGE" he gestures a big circle with his arms "Squid appeared and he could talk, it was awesome"!not as awesome as his quiet fishing spot getting invaded by the other students and even the Groundskeeper all wanting to see the Giant Squid.
"And one time i got lost going to DADA and i found a shortcut going to the library which was really handy because have you seen that library?! I want to have it. If i have enough money can i buy it?" a honest question. "im also learning lots during classes" he said proudly. He had trouble making friends though but the woman did not need to know that because it was embarrassing."Professor, can i ask something?" and without waiting for a reply or a 'you just did but you can ask me something else too' comment he continued "Have you always wanted to be a Muggle Studies Professor?"

Oh! Dorian recognised the table instantly. It made Kay smile. "Indeed it is. Do you care for a game or were you looking to play something else? I can play this with you if you don't mind going against an adult.'' Not that Kay was any good at air hockey.
Kay was convinced that she was never, ever going to get over this cutie. Goodness! He was quite the distraction to her. "He didn't scare you, did you? Bartholomew the Squid, I mean. He's quite friendly and has been around for quite a long time. Decades, actually.'' The little Ravenclaw was making her laugh. She loved his inquisitive mind. "I'll tell you a secret, Mr Katharos. I would love to own that library myself. It's impressive but I don't think we'd be allowed to buy it. I tell you what though. You can start your own library by collecting and buying books.''
She was somewhat startled by the question. "No, not all along. I always wanted to teach at Muggle school and I did. I decided to apply for Muggle Studies five years ago because I wanted to give back to Hogwarts. My seven years here were some of the best, you see.''
