| | |  START HERE! Patient's Check-In Area
 Down the third-floor corridor and towards the main door of the Hospital Wing, you will find yourself in a relatively warm and cosy antechamber. On both sides, you will see wooden benches long enough to seat at least 10 people. This is where the patient or companions of the patient wait and fill out the Emergency Form provided by Healer Reed.
Facing the door, there are two podiums flanking the threshold where a self-inking quill and a stack of blank Emergency Forms are provided. This is where you will fill up the form for Healer Reed's reference. Once the forms are correctly filled up, the patient or companion of the patient should drop the form inside the niche beside the door. Said niche is charmed to sort itself out so that your Emergency Form (and nothing else besides the provided forms) will reach Healer Reed wherever he may be.
So take a deep breath, exhale slowly and fill out the parchment provided. Healer Reed will attend to you shortly.

This wasn't exactly how he wanted to start off the new year, by visiting River, but Chase wasn't available right now and he didn't want to limp all over Hogwarts..
Nor did he especially want to explain what has happened to people who asked. Sure he could make up some good stories, he had kicked a door, or even tripped over his cat? Mr. Tumnus wouldn't mind taking the fall for that, yeah?
Kalen limped into the healers wing, he could barely put any pressure at all on his toes. Merlin, so embarrassing.
He made his way up to the desk and filled out the form

River combed his hair with his fingers in one swift stroke as he made his way up to the third floor, ready to crash in his office. He needed a cup of strong coffee to fuel him the next few hours.
While the idea juggled in his mind, the Healer took a double take when he saw a lone figure sitting in the Hospital Wing's waiting area, and in that instant, that patient's form flew right in his face.
Well, this is new. "Kalen?" River called out looking up from the parchment that he was now holding, then back to the man. "I'd never imagine the Library to be a hazard area...the Astronomy tower though..." River trailed off, shaking his head. "What's wrong? What happened to you?"

River trailed off, shaking his head. "What's wrong? What happened to you?" Kalen was sitting in the chair, the throbbing in his foot growing worse with every second he sat there. He had been hoping it has just been a minor stub and he would be able to walk out without River noticing, but sadly that was not the case.
Kalen raised two fingers as River called his name. "Right here." He said with a slight sigh as as the man started to speak. "Well the library isn't that hazardous, but disgruntled Gryffindor students that are out past curfew are." He explained with a slight upward turn of a corner of his lip.
"Ahh well, let's just say my foot went to sleep and then had a rude awakening as a very heavy tome was dropped right on it." And despite some rest the pain still hadn't eased and since he wasn't too keen on hopping around the school like a bunny, perhaps he could help a fellow out? | |

Emmeline felt a little better after putting some distance and STAIRS between her and the crazy old man in the DADA classroom. Since he was sleeping so much, she hoped that meant that he was too lazy to climb all these stairs and come after her, mhm. Still, the twelve-year-old was shaking like a leaf clinging to the Whomping Willow at the start of winter as she entered the hospital wing with an older Hufflepuff girl (Scarlett) and Miss Rhea.
At least she'd only thrown up one more time on the way to the hospital wing. She thought that she'd be okay if her stupid memories would STOP intruding on her everyday life, mhm. The Gryffindor grabbed one of the parchment things that Mr. Healer liked them to fill out, pulled a quill that was lying around towards her, and answered the questions with a shaking hand. It wasn't really readable, but Mr. Healer knew who she was.
She sank onto one of the chairs in the waiting area, eyes peeled for any adults that weren't Professor Hirsch or Mr. Healer. Sadly, Cami was probably teaching right now too; if she hadn't been, Emmeline would've been tempted to run away from the older girls and just go straight to her office. Though Cami probably would've dragged her back down here anyway... Emmeline curled into a ball on her chair as she waited for Professor Hirsch to catch up. She didn't really want to say what had happened in class anyways. | |

By the time Kyle made it to the Hospital Wing, he was limping slightly. He didn't know why. The burn on his leg didn't do anything to the muscle beneath it, nor was limping going to keep it from hurting. But he couldn't seem to help it. He filled out the form carefully.

The burn now had blisters on it and was an angry red. He frowned. Why did he have to be so clumsy sometimes? Though, he kind of felt bad for the Salamander. It probably didn't like being dropped, or possibly Kyle may have manhandled it trying to get it off his clothing and back in the fire. But at least it was probably comfortable now, while Kyle was in pain. This sucked.

Other than that she said nothing. Disturbing images kept popping into her head.
And there was still blood on her hands. Where did it come from? Was it from a student??! From herself?! The thought of a poor first year student lying feebly in some dark corridor of the castle made her feel like fainting.
In what seemed like no time at all, they were there.
